General Information:

(Taken from The Blackconclave.org website, via the internet archive, circa 2001):
Simply put, the Nashite faith is the belief system in which Lord Nash is the supreme ruler of all realms and all immortals. It is the belief system of the Black Conclave as well as its many sister followings, guilds and clans.

The Nashite Faith revolves around the belief in the existence and power of the Great Lord Nash. The tale of Lord Nash is written in the scripture of the "Nash Bible" though some Nashites believe in another version contained in the "Nashite Apocrypha".

All Nashites acknowledge Lord Nash as the destroyer and creator of the universe as told in the Nash Bible and by the Prophet of Nash. The term "Nashite" refers both as the name of the religion and the name of the followers of Lord Nash.

Nashites acknowledge that Lord Nash represents utter perfection.

A group called "NH" (Nash Haters) was formed by Jasmine, to 'rescue our brothers and sisters' by 'killing them until they renounce Nash'.

[ 24] Molo: Conclave Entrance by Life's Blood
Sun Aug 27 10:13:01 2000
To: all
As has always been the policy of my Black Conclave, I will be allowing all Nashites from existing and former Nashite followings to enter my Conclave without quest.
The only exception to this ruling are those Nashites which my High Council has officially black listed. The Conclave's Black List may be viewed via our public message boards now from the TFC section of http://www.theblackconclave.org
Since the format of the Black List has recently changed, I will allow all Conclave High Council until Thursday, August 31 to make updates.
Beginning September 1, 2000 - any former member of the Spirit Okk's may request free admittance if not Black Listed.
Molo the Arch-Lich

2001:
January 2001: Molo posts a note about the High Council Entry Requirements. Sabella is granted the only recorded (no level loss) god+ reform from the Conclave.
February 2001: the Apostatize command is implemented, and this year, several members of the Conclave depart utilizing this command, including: Critical, Alderson, Katrana, Solaron, Mallard, Kaldred, Rashiel, Themiscrya and others.

Someone (assumed to be Molo) shouts, 'All Hail Cynder, Diabolical Belle of my Black Conclave. Newest Member of the Conclave High Council.'. Someone gossips, 'All Hail Wish, Foul Sepiod of my Black Conclave and Gabriel Unholy Angel of my Black Conclave.'. Someone gossips, 'The High Council of the Black Conclave has reopened after nearly a year.'. Specious is ordained "Crypt Keeper" by Molo.

Nashite Trivia:

  • 40% of Nashite followings have ended due to the deletion of the Immortal.
  • The only Nashite Paladin was Wren.
  • The only Unaligned mortal to have been acknowledged as Nashite by the Pope of Nashite (and various individual followings) is Gwyrdain.
  • Okk is the only Nashite Immortal to have two different followings.
  • Schwartz is the only Nashite immortal to be promoted straight from DemiGod to God+.
  • Molo holds the record for the longest running following in TFC history.
  • Evil Nashites hold to two Laws. Good Nashites held to three.
  • The worship of Nash has spread to other MUDs and online gaming evironments.
  • Yes, it's sad but true: Sirak once (drunkenly) admitted that the symbol of Nash ( [1] ) is a view of a woman's privates as she leans over. :(
  • To prevent mortals from creating characters named Nash, Molo wrote a mob into the Black Manor with that name.
  • Non-Nashites oftentimes derogatorily refer to Nash as a 'three-headed goat.' There were rumors this practice was started (or continued) by Bubba Lin, but in fact, it was Kaern.
  • Only female immortals have ever been excommunicated from the Nashite Faith: Darkmoon, for divorcing Sirak, and Cordir, for marrying Deamhan.

Help Files:

Background: These help files were written by Cordir at the request of Madman, in the days just before 3x was implemented, when she was actively playing a Nashite mortal. The help file was not used, however, due to a shift in mud policy at the time. (Author's Note: I have made no attempt to update the file - several historical references are no longer applicable. However, I thought it might be of general interest.)

HELP NASH:
(See also HELP NASHITE, HELP EVIL NASHITE, HELP GOOD NASHITE)
According to Nashite beliefs, an individual named Nash rose to great power. Into his possession came the Scroll of Super Nova - a power than could destroy the universe. Although the two branches of Nashism disagree as to his motives, after the preparation of an ancient artifact known as the Nash Bible, he ripped the Scroll, unleashing forces which did indeed destroy the Universe. Right before the oblivion claimed it's last victim - Nash himself - he threw the Nash Bible into the Void, to protect it from the destruction. Eventually, eons later, the universe reformed and the Fates guided the Bible to a planet where sentient beings could find, translate, and embrace it. Through their belief and worship, Nash was recreated. When this occurred, using the knowledge of the universe he had gained through witnessing its destruction, Nash destroyed the "new" universe, and recreated the "old", with two critical differences. The "recreated old universe" did not include the Scroll of Super Nova, and the gods were created in a position of power beneath that of Lord Nash.

HELP NASHITE:
(See also HELP NASH, HELP EVIL NASHITE, HELP GOOD NASHITE)
An individual who acknowledges the creation of the universe by Lord Nash is known as a Nashite. Nashites strive to be Perfect, like Nash himself, and to this purpose, each sect has an aspect or path through which they seek Perfection. The acceptance of Nash does not preclude disbelief in other entities, but does require acceptance of Nash as the Creator of the Universe as it currently exists.

HELP EVIL NASHITE
(See also HELP NASH, HELP NASHITE, HELP GOOD NASHITE)
There are three active followings of evil alignment that are Nashite: The Conclave - lead by the Pope of Nash, Molo the Arch-Lich; The Watchers - lead by the Arch Angel of Nash, Primal; and The Jhereg - lead by Ozmo. These four organzations fall under the guidance of the Son of Nash, Lord Sirak, and all evil Nashite gods bow to him as their Liege Lord. Evil Nashites have two laws: Nashites may not harm other Nashites, and Lord Nash's name must be praised. While a single path to Nash's perfection has not been officially pronounced, it appears that they seek Perfection through the slaying of all who do not accept Lord Nash.

HELP GOOD NASHITE
(See also: HELP NASH, HELP NASHITE, HELP EVIL NASHITE)
There is one active following of good alignment that is of Good alignment - the Silver Fellowship, lead by the Justicar of Nash, Gryphon. While respect is given to Nash's Son by the Good Nashites, neither Gryphon, nor his Fellowship, are vassals to Lord Sirak. Good Nashites have three laws: Nashites may not harm other Nashites, through action or inaction. The Nashite must follow a Path to Perfection, staying on that Path - for the Fellowship, this is the honing of the soul and service to others. Finally, Lord Nash's name must be praised, through word, action or deed.

Notes About Nashite / Nash:

[ 14] Molo: Nashite Honor
Fri Nov 30 07:42:18 2007
To: Maxwell all

As most know, I rarely respond to any mortal's misconceptions or lack
of understanding. In fact, it is rare for this lich to even publish a
public note.

In respect to the term 'Nashite honor', you are actually confusing the
Conclave's lawful nature with Lord Nash's will. The Conclave is only one
of many Nashite sects and has its own rules and standards of behavior.

Lord Nash is all things. He is good and evil. He is lawful and chaotic. He
creates and obliterates life as he wishes. Only a fool would label 'all'
Nashites with a single term such as being honorable.

Molo the Arch-Lich
Master of the Black Conclave of Nashite
