Current Description: 12/08/11
The old man before you in nearing the end of his cycle. Pale pallid skin sags as jowls around his neck, and rheumy eyes look at you as if they see nothing. You hear a wheezing noise as he struggles for a breath. Then a rattle as the air escapes his failing lungs. His equipment fares no better. Unwashed pieces of leather clad him and odd mismatched pieces of steel and silver cover his liver spotted hands. Perhaps the best thing that sums this sad picture up are the twin weapons that hang limply on his sides. It has been a long time since these
tools of war have been oiled or in fact for that matter used. The rust on his stylet looks like it would now prevent it from being removed from it's scabbard.
It is hard to think that once upon a time this was a strong warrior who stood as Sentinal for his following. There is the sound of padded feet behind you and a young Half-Elf skips into view. She takes the forgotten warrior's arm and smiles at him as she says "You wandered off again! Come pappy Farseer, Mother has your supper ready" She gently guides him back towards their home, an old relic being put back in its box.
As the two slowly disappear over the horizon you hear a quiet voice behind you.
"My clock is almost wound out, how much time do you have left on yours? and what do you want to do with it? "
You spin around to confront the person who has snuck up behind you!
But there is no-one there.
Khorlan leads a charmed life.

Clink** **Clink** **Clink** What was that? It sounded like glass upon glass... but you would have sworn you were alone here! With a frown, you scan the area to see who has crept up upon you unawares. A soft chuckle pulls your gaze to an area you'd already dismissed as holding no threat. A tanned, athletic fellow stands there, hands on his hips, grinning. "Gotcha!" He seems relatively harmless, of average height and build, average armor and weapons but how harmless could he be if he crept up on you like that, despite all the noise? His waist is cinched by a wide belt, and attached to the leather are dozens of vials - some empty, some containing who-knows-what sort of mixture.
Another chuckle. He grins, and waves at you, a gesture of greeting and dismissal of himself as anything you have to be worried about. Odd his fingers are stained strange colors, as if liberally splattered by an artist's brush. "My favorite spell" he explains. He runs one fingertip over the vials, making them clink against each other. "Alchemy my favorite hobby. Can I interest you in a potion or two?" His gray eyes are hold humor but also readiness should your intents turn foul, and those hands certainly seem capable enough of wielding the twin weapons slung at his side.
Khorlan is in perfect health.
Khorlan Farseer - Tiger - 12/29/01 (written by Cordir):
The softest sound, like the clink of the finest elven chainmail or perhaps glass upon glass, is the only hint that you are no longer alone here A few short steps away, a tanned, seasoned fellow stands quietly, weapons quiet in their sheaths One hand is upon his hip, the great golden Royal Seal of Safehaven glittering upon his ring finger The other hand flits here and there, cataloging by touch the many vials and bottles held in place by thin leather cords to the belt at his waist His tunic is slightly stained, but by blood or potion, you cannot tell His eyes are a deep, piercing gray, like that of hardened steel in the blade of a sword folded ten thousand times in its crafting Once a dark brown, his still thick and luxurious hair is fading to a silvered gray as well
His smile is kindly, almost gentle, until your hand gets a bit too close to your weapons Then one brow arches, and his frame tenses slightly, at once, ready to act with deadly and well practiced, capable force

(Written for entry into the Chosen of Fate.)
Khorlan's story is now becoming a long one, but we will only deal with the beginning in this part... Like many of the great adventurers Khorlan never knew his parents and was an orphan. Life on the street was tough and he probably would have ended up in a life of crime if it wasn't for a stroke of good(bad?) luck when he was caught by a peacekeeper stealing a loaf of bread from one of the local residences. The crime however wasn't a serious one and Khorlan was released that same day on the condition he participate in a mentoring program for youth's at risk. Fate or something smiled on Khorlan that day, and he was assigned to learn and live with Jair the Librarian. From then on everything took an upwards turn in Khorlan's life, and he found he enjoyed the study and learning which Jair offered him. After a couple of years Khorlan was accepted into the local mages guild, and his adventures started........

He was my second character i've played seriously on TFC, and I have to admit i've had lots of fun. Ever since I started TFC, all i wanted to do was be Ordained. Now Tripper has retired, and I have done about all I wanted to do. I want to say thanks to Tokugawa for being the first god I ever worshipped (as a different character), you kept it interesting when I first started learning the rules. Even though she has been dishonorably retired, besides the cheating stuff, Lorna was a great god. Cordir for keeping me until the tigers were reborn, and of course Thanks to Tripper, for making the new tigers as much fun as the old. There are many other people I havn't mentioned but you are all as equally important (you know who you are). well I guess thats about it, I'm going on a journey now, maybe I'll meet up with my friends of old who have slowly disappeared from the realm - Khorlan Farseer "
