Trivia:
- Salem's death at the hands of Syrinx, Anwar, and Jerald while putting items in the pit (when the Guild was not 'safe') is listed in the Black Conclave Founding History as being the reason the Black Conclave became an aggressive PK following.
- Salem's nickname, 'The Black Dragon' is based on the acid-breathing mob of the same name. Acid became Salem's most feared weapon.
- Salem received votes for Most Enigmatic Mortal in the BlissPoll 2000A.
- Salem was the Apprentice of Molo.
- Salem accepted Cordir as his Apprentice while she was in the Black Conclave.
- Salem was listed as an example in Cordir's attempt to teach Uncas A Lesson in Nashite.
- Salem was referenced in the Threads of the Tapestry in Cordir's temple, in the sable thread.
- At the renewal of vows betwene Thaygar and Siren, at the end of the ceremony, Molo ordered Salem to acid blast the room...
- Salem was able to demonstrate a way to the implementors that he could, at will, lock up the mud. He (and Molo) referred to this as his 'Time Stop' spell. (December 20, 2003: Molo gossips, 'And that reminds me of the most powerful spell ever created by a mortal. The spell was the fabled "Time Stop" spell.'. Molo gossips, 'Who can guess what mortal wizard created that spell? The spell itself was banned shortly after by Tynian himself after the mortal demonstrated it for him. Salem developed magics that could halt the realm. His research into lag brought him the power to make time stop. No immortal, mortal or mob could even move once he casted his spell. Which is why Tynian rightfully banned the spell.')
