Belgarion tells you (in common), 'did you want to talk to me?'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'If you wish.'.

The Storytelling Amphitheater
[Exits: west]
You are in a small amphitheater. Several rows of curved marble benches
curl comfortably around a raised dais. The high ceiling and polished
stone walls are shaped to reflect the voice of the speaker at the dais,
letting them be heard throughout the room. An open archway to the west
leads out into a small courtyard.

Belgarion tells you (in common), ‘I do'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'I am in the amphitheater.'.

Belgarion arrives from the west.
DarkClaw arrives from the west.

Belgarion rests.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have to ask you Samiyah'.

Samiyah bows before the Sayyida.

Belgarion says (in common), 'why are you upset with me'.

You say (in common), 'some time ago, you told me of a plan you have.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'yes'.

You say (in common), 'I asked you then, not to pursue it.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'true'.

DarkClaw says, 'I should leave...'.

You say (in common), 'I am now forbidden to stop you.'.
You say (in common), 'And I feel helpless'.

DarkClaw grins and bares her fangs. Tendrils of fog rise from the ground, twisting their way up and around her form to shroud it from view.

Belgarion says (in common), 'not to worry right now'.

You say (in common), 'so, not now, but in a few weeks? a few months? always to have it looming unknown on the horizon?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I have been asked to not do this by my Goddess'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'we agree that something must be done about Him'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but she doesn't want me taking chances anymore'.

Samiyah exhales slowly, releasing fists in relief that she did not even realize that she was clenching.
Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have truly thought this through though'.

You say (in common), 'I appreciate the Sayyida's wisdom.'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I had got some of the spell done'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but'.

The look of anguish and stress returns to her face three-fold.

Belgarion says (in common), 'the problem was that I knew I had to make the spell forgotten'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it’s too powerful a spell to have out there for anyone'.

Samiyah says fiercely, 'It is HALAL. There is no ifs or buts about it. Such things are not right or proper to be in mortal minds or hands.'

Belgarion says (in common), 'this may be true'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'in my defense no one is doing anything to stop Him from running around and doing what he sees fit'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'Does anyone take action to stop your Sayyida from doing as she pleases?'.
You say (in common), 'She could snatch up someone and drink them dry.'.
You say (in common), 'Does anyone patrol, to ensure that Boromir's razor wit does not cause the hapless to faint dead away?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'and when I see him treating my Goddess and my Love the way he does that’s not right'.

You say (in common), 'Are there guards to watch the words and deeds of Hutt?'.
You say (in common), 'Immortals do not need keepers, save themselves and the Highest Ones.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'but you see has my Goddess ever done that'.

You say (in common), 'It is WRONG for mortals to think it is their place to correct, to challenge, to punish the Gods.'.
Samiyah repeats herself firmly, 'It is wrong.'

Belgarion shakes his head.
Belgarion says (in common), 'then I must do something'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and you will have to answer to my Goddess'.

Samiyah says fiercely, 'I would stop you, if I was permitted. But I am forbidden it.'

You say (in common), 'I have done nothing wrong.'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I can no longer bear to see her treated in such a way'.

You say (in common), 'and if you and your Goddess believe otherwise, then to the Guardian with you!'.

Belgarion sighs loudly.
Belgarion says (in common), 'then I must retire'.
Belgarion stands up.
Belgarion leaves west.

In the Temple of the Lost: Ghazkull's Fate

(Log by DarkClaw)

Temple of the Lost

[Exits: west]
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Dark Purple Aura) Ghazkull is resting here.

Ghazkull grins evilly.

>l ghaz

Eyes swirling with the hazel colors of the Earth regard you calmly as the
elf before you meets your gaze. A charming grin graces his full lips and he
lowers his wiry frame in a deep bow, causing his river of long, silvery hair
to fall forward and frame his face as it drops to the floor. Straightening after
a moment, he reaches up and flicks it back over his shoulders and notices
your troubled gaze focused upon the scar that runs the width of his forehead.
His hand moves to his weapon reflexively and his smile falters, as if a certain
memory haunts him. His lips curl in a restrained snarl and you finally notice
the razor-sharp fangs hiding behind them. Flexing the fingers of his weapon
hand he finally relaxes it and his mood lightens again, his gaze dropping in an
apologetic gesture. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm sure we all have a story to tell."
As he turns to move away, the sun catches on a blue peridot tucked into a fold
in his clothing and you wonder if there is a tale to that as well.
Ghazkull leads a charmed life.

Ghazkull is using:

Ghazkull blushes.

Belgarion arrives from the west.
Belgarion grins evilly.
Belgarion rests.

You smile at him.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'let’s see how that settles in her mind'.

You [GS] tell Belgarion, 'What happened?'.

Samiyah yells (in common), 'What do I have to answer to, Sayyida?'.
Samiyah yells (in common), 'Your beloved says that I must answer, but does not say for what.'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I must kill her'.

Belgarion utters the words, 'absorb'.
Belgarion utters the words, 'sanctuary'.
Belgarion is surrounded by a white aura.
Belgarion leaves west.

Outside the Temple of the Lost: Betrayal

(log by Samiyah)

(Samiyah travels to outside the Lost Temple)

Northern Avenue
[Exits: north east south]
You stand on the marble walkway that makes up Northern Avenue.
Although many feet have crossed this ground the marble is not worn
in the least. DarkClaw's temple is to the east.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.

You yell (in common), 'What do I have to answer to, Sayyida?'.
You yell (in common), 'Your beloved says that I must answer, but does not say for what.'.

Belgarion arrives from the east.

Belgarion's crush EVISCERATES you.
Belgarion's crush EVISCERATES you.

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Belgarion's crush MASSACRES you.
You dodge Belgarion's attack.
Sparks fly, as Belgarion's magical protection blocks your attack.
Your palm heel strike decimates Belgarion.
Your front kick devastates Belgarion.

Belgarion utters the words, 'yrawzgculatz'.
Belgarion's flamestrike MASSACRES you.

Belgarion's crush EVISCERATES you.
Attempting to flee...
Northern Avenue
[Exits: north south west]
You stand on the marble walkway that makes up Northern Avenue.
Although many feet have crossed this ground the marble is not worn
in the least. An empty foundation lies to the west.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.
You flee from combat!
You LOSE 25 experience points!

In the Temple of the Lost: Arguments, Explanations, and Spells

(Log by DarkClaw)

You yell, '...I have no idea. *watches after Belgarion with a brow raised*'.

You ftell, 'What're you doing?!?'.

Belgarion arrives from the west.

Belgarion rests.

Belgarion ftells, 'she has said some nasty things'.

You raise your eyebrow at him.

Belgarion ftells, ‘I will kill her now'.

You ftell, 'What did she say?'.

Samiyah gossips (in common), 'By the Guardian Himself, I see that we are no longer friends, Belgarion.'.

Belgarion gossips (in common), 'by your very own words Samiyah'.

Samiyah gossips (in common), 'While I do not understand what I have done so wrong in your eyes that you would raise your sword against me..'.
Samiyah gossips (in common), 'know that I will not forget it.'.

You tell Samiyah, 'What the he...what happened?!'.

Thingone gossips (in common), 'what guardian?'.

Ghazkull blinks.

Belgarion gossips (in common), 'you have caused this and you will never be safe with me her'.

Samiyah gossips (in common), 'The Guardian of my tribe. I swear in His name I will not forget what you just did.'.

You [GS] tell Belgarion, 'Um, wow...Babe, what happened?'.

Samiyah gossips (in common), 'I HAVE DONE NOTHING except tell you that you are wrong. I have taken no action, as I am forbidden to.'.

Belgarion gossips (in common), 'and I shall never forget what you have said'.

Ghazkull ftells, 'thought she was talking about the old guardian of N'Kai for a minute *shudder*'.

Thingone gossips (in common), 'I’m logging all this'.

Belgarion ftells, 'Samiyah says (in common), 'and if you and your Goddess believe otherwise, then to the Guardian with you!.

Thingone gossips (in common), 'so we can all remember this awesome conversation'.

Ghazkull ftells, 'what fli is Samiyah?'.

Thingone gossips (in common), 'jk obviously...carry on'.

Belgarion ftells, 'so she is siding with Seraph'.
Belgarion ftells, 'that was proven'.
Belgarion ftells, 'she somehow believes that he’s right'.

You ftell, 'What caused Sami to lash out like that?'.

Belgarion ftells, 'because Seraph got to her and she was comparing you and Him'.

Samiyah arrives from the west.
Samiyah bows before the Sayyida.

Samiyah says (in common), 'To answer your question, Sayyida..'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'bow?'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah says (in common), 'What happens is that your consort claimed that I had wronged you'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'but not encouraging or being passive to his efforts'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'run back to your Guardian'.

DarkClaw is looking highly irritated, confused, and perhaps even distraught.

Samiyah says (in common), 'That it was on my head.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'And that I would have to answer to you.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I came here to speak to you, standing outside your home'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and he attacked me.'.

Ghazkull melts into the shadows.

Samiyah says (in common), 'without provocation'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I am justified in burning him where he stands.'.

You say, 'Enough, Belgarion. I would hear her.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Shall I, Sayyida?'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'in this Temple?'.

Ghazkull prays, 'would you like me to leave?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'The world is a large place.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you said where I stand'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

You say, 'You have the right to. I am just as lost as you are, Sami. Belgarion has not...enlightened me yet on where he is coming from.'.

Samiyah gives Belgarion a withering look. 'It is a turn of phrase.'

DarkClaw flicks an irritated gaze in Belgarion's direction briefly.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You know. Words. '.

You say, 'I would hear his word as well.'.

Samiyah falls silent obediently and nods.

>line 1 of 3 included strictly for amusement
You tell Samiyah, '(He wants me to reassure you that this is all RP. LOL. Not like you didn't know that.)'.

>line 2 of 3 included strictly for amusement
Samiyah tells you (in common), '(of course!!!)'.

Ghazkull ftells, 'want me to leave?'.

You say, 'Belg...'.

You ftell, 'Not necessarily'.

>line 3 of 3 for the punchline.  ;-)
Samiyah tells you (in common), '(and that is why I will not be acid blasting him. ;) )'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'calming down'.

You say, 'I think you both must.'.

Ghazkull ftells, 'okay, just let me know and I shall make my excuses'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'ok'.

You say, 'I'm trying to figure out how Sami would have to answer to me.'.

Samiyah stops using a small druidwood shield.

You say, 'She does not worship me.'.

Samiyah wields a long black quill.

Belgarion says (in common), 'when I left you Samiyah'.

Samiyah lightly touches the quill, as touchstone to calm her nerves.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I said to you that if I could do nothing to stop Seraph'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'then I must do something'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I said I must retire because I do not want to see him treat my beloved like that anymore'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and that’s what you would have to answer to'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'she would not be happy if I had to leave because of all this'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'so I will stop'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'I will no longer look for a way to stop Seraph'.

DarkClaw sighs and runs a hand over her unusually pale face. "My love...Seraph has not harmed me. He has merely...irritated me."

You say, 'In fact, I was the one that harmed him.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you don’t understand'.

You say, 'Then make me understand.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'it has nothing to do with Harm'.

### Seraph: Entered Game

Belgarion says (in common), 'it’s what he does'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'in truth'.

You say, 'You speak of disrespect?'.

Belgarion nods.

DarkClaw: Good evening, Seraph.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if someone was doing those things to me'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and you saw this time and again'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'even if I was fine'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'would you not want it stopped?'.

You say, 'I would lash out.'.

DarkClaw nods without hesitation.

Belgarion shrugs.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I think, Belgarion, your anger is misplaced.'.

Seraph appears before you.

You say, 'But that is no cause to damage the friendship you and Samiyah had.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You are angry that as a man, you cannot protect your woman.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'And that is understandable.'.

Belgarion nods.

DarkClaw coughs mildly.

Samiyah says (in common), 'but it is your Sayyida that has forbidden it, not I.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'yet, you laid the blame at my feet'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'because, in love, you cannot blame her.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I am not your whipping boy. Nor hers. Nor anyone else's, ever again.'.

Belgarion sighs loudly.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Samiyah leaves west.

In Sami's Prayers:

Samiyah prays: I hope that I did well in your eyes, Sahib

Someone tells you, ‘I see they have shown there true colors'.

Samiyah prays: Yes, Sahib.. he has..

Samiyah prays: I hope I did not displease you with my actions and words.
Samiyah prays: I did hold to Your commands, not to stop him.

Someone tells you, ‘I told you they didn't care'.
Someone tells you, ‘I told you they will turn'.

Samiyah prays: I think Belgarion is feeling the impotence of loving a woman more powerful than he.
Samiyah prays: but yes... it was a shock to have his blade turn against me.

Someone tells you, 'she has no control over him'.

Samiyah prays: He has no control over himself!

Someone tells you, 'if she truly cared for you he would be punished for his actions'.
Someone tells you, 'but yet he stands no regrets'.

Samiyah prays: I don't think she punishes anyone....

You (87) attacked by Belgarion (88) on Wed Feb 06 13 20:08:22.
=================================================

You sigh.
You wield a long black quill.

Someone tells you, 'and everyone thinks I’m the evil one'.

Samiyah cups the quill in her hand, running one fingertip along an edge.

Samiyah prays: ... they have the same aura that you do. I made the point to remind them of that, recently.

Someone tells you, ‘I am the only one who will watch you'.

Samiyah prays: I felt your presence when he lifted his sword, guiding me to safety.

Someone tells you, ‘I did'.
Someone tells you, ‘I will watch over you'.

Samiyah prays: I am just... I am so _angry_!

Someone tells you, 'watch yourself her dog will be looking for you'.

Samiyah strokes a fingertip along the feather again.

Samiyah prays: I will be careful, Sahib
Samiyah prays: ... and I trust that You watch over me always.

Seraph tells you, 'always'.

Samiyah prays: Sahib... when You have time...

Seraph tells you, ‘I will come'.

Samiyah prays: Would you tell me which of the Laws are of you, and which are not?

Seraph tells you, ‘I will'.

Samiyah prays: Thank you, Sahib

Samiyah prays: .. You are visible to all, Sahib? Are You speaking with the Lost ones?

Seraph tells you, 'yes'.
Seraph tells you, ‘I am trying to fix your problem dear one'.

Samiyah prays: Forgive me, Sahib... but did You not wish want me to solve them on my own? To stop taking the easy path and let others do for me?

Seraph tells you, '*smile* I did dear one'.
Seraph tells you, 'my dear one keep a watchful eye on the lost for they have lost their mind'.

Samiyah prays: I will, Sahib.

In The Temple of the Lost: Aftermath & Explanations

Belgarion says (in common), 'she’s not quite right there'.
Belgarion shrugs.

Ghazkull fades back into the foreground.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion beams a smile at Ghazkull.

Ghazkull glances at the shadows, a look of uncertainty touching his face.

DarkClaw sighs and shakes her head slowly. "I'm not sure what to make of any of this, honestly. I forbid you to cast your spell and it blew up."

Belgarion says (in common), 'here’s the thing'.

DarkClaw lets her gaze shift to Ghazkull, noticing his expression. "Something wrong, Ghaz?"

Belgarion says (in common), 'she has proven now that she will bend to His will'.

You say, 'She has.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'in that alone'.

You say, 'There doesn't seem to be much uncertainty left in that regard.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'she became my enemy'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I’m not sure. something has been troubling me for a while now.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'she has Brought this on herself'.

You say, 'She may be your enemy, love, but not mine. There is always hope.'.
You say, 'Speak your mind, Ghaz.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'if you're sure?'.

You say, 'Of course.'.
You say, 'Perhaps an outsider's view will help.'.

Ghazkull looks into DarkClaw's eyes, 'What happened after the tower?'
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I feel... different.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'as though I’m not quite... whole'.

DarkClaw's eyes widen, caught off-guard, but she catches herself and regains composure quickly, her voice a soft murmur, "You ARE different."

Ghazkull blinks.

DarkClaw murmurs, "I...did what I had to...to save you."

Ghazkull's hand moves slowly to the scar on his head.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'what happened to me?'.

DarkClaw begins unconsciously pacing the temple, the tenseness in her form quite apparent, then stops and lets out a pained groan. "I don't want to tell you..."
You say, 'I really don't."'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'Star.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'you have been my friend for many, many years'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'you alone, risked your life to save me.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'MUST know'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'so much is missing'.

DarkClaw sighs and lowers her gaze to the floor of the temple, her voice barely audible. "You had lost so much blood..."

Ghazkull shivers uncomfortably.

You say, 'It was the only way.'.

Ghazkull's eyes widen.

Belgarion blinks.

DarkClaw meets Ghazkukll's gaze bleakly, willing him to understand. "It is not complete."

Ghazkull's voice becomes a whisper, 'what isn't?'
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I don't understand'.

DarkClaw pulls away again, needing distance, fearing closeness and rejection, "...I...had to give you some of my blood."

Ghazkull swallows.

Belgarion says (in common), 'Ghaz?'.

Ghazkull nods in recognition to Belgarion.

Belgarion says (in common), 'would you like me to leave?'.

Ghazkull shakes his head.

Belgarion nods.

Seraph claps his hands stepping out the shadows.

DarkClaw stops abruptly, looking between Ghazkull and Belgarion, then back to Ghazkull. "He knows what I am."

Belgarion nods.

Seraph folds his hands behind his back.

Ghazkull's hand moves to his mouth, his lips curling back over his teeth.

Seraph says, 'a little vampire, cute'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'so that explains one thing'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'but... you said it wasn't complete?'.

DarkClaw starts, hissing at the sudden clapping within the room and wheels around towards the voice. "This is NOT your conversation, Fallen One."

Seraph laughs at you mercilessly. Hmmmmph.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'the least you could do is show yourself?'.

Seraph says, ‘I am just happy your dog has shown his true colors'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Seraph says, 'good boy Belgarion'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'that’s cute'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have shown?'.

DarkClaw growls at Seraph and moves toward him, her claws extending.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you mean Samiyah has shown'.

Seraph watches not moving.
Seraph says, 'think DarkClaw'.

You say, 'You come here flinging insults and expect me to be nice?'.

Seraph says, 'put your claws away'.
Seraph walks around slowly.
Seraph says, 'insults he is a dog that YOU can't contain'.

Ghazkull murmurs, 'not complete?'

DarkClaw flicks a worried gaze toward Ghazkull, obviously torn on which battle to fight currently.

Seraph says, 'he attacked your friend and yet you do nothing'.
Seraph says, 'and the little one is now a vampire'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'as I said before'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I will attack those that appose us'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and anyone that sides with you'.

Seraph laughs.

Belgarion shrugs.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'you could at least show yourself, if you would talk about me'.

Seraph says, 'so one sided dog'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'he’s to scared to show himself'.

DarkClaw rears back and smacks Seraph across the face, claws extended. "DO NOT...call him that."

Seraph head moves and he begins to grin.

Belgarion stands up.

Seraph says, 'there you go DarkClaw'.

DarkClaw wheels around and walks toward Ghazkull, an arm outstretched, clearly dismissing Seraph. "Not complete, no..."

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'so, I am a freak?'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'not mortal, yet... not...'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'Vampire?'.

DarkClaw's features twist in distaste, "No, of course not! You are never a freak."

Belgarion says (in common), 'Seraph I believe you were dismissed'.

Seraph laughs at Belgarion mercilessly.
Seraph says, 'how can you let him turn on your friend DarkClaw'.
Seraph says, 'are you not his goddess'.

Belgarion slowly moves between Seraph and DarkClaw.

Seraph says, 'oh cute'.

DarkClaw looks between Belgarion and Seraph, again distracted and torn. "Just because I am his Goddess does not mean I command his every action."

Seraph says, 'you do'.

You say, 'No...that is the way YOU would lead.'.

Seraph says, 'you run your people not him'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'Careful what you say Seraph'.

Seraph says, 'or what Belgarion'.

Belgarion slowly lowers his head.

Seraph says, 'what are you going to do'.

You say, 'I have no wish to be manipulative, controlling, or...'.

DarkClaw notes Belgarion's stance and frowns, brows furrowed.

Seraph says, 'then you are worse than I am DarkClaw'.
Seraph says, 'for you will not protect a friend'.

Belgarion raises his left hand to the sky.

DarkClaw closes her eyes at Seraph's words, clearly pained by them, and nods slowly. "Perhaps you're right."

Ghazkull gasps in astonishment.

DarkClaw retracts her claws and slumps against the bookshelf.

Belgarion slams his hand to the ground and screams "EARTH"

Seraph says, 'DarkClaw....'.

Belgarion raises his right hand to the sky.

Seraph says, 'we have known each other for a long time'.

DarkClaw seems oblivious to everything around her, lost in thought and shame.

Seraph says, 'we haven’t always seen eye to eye BUT you never let someone have a friend'.
Seraph walks over and gently places his hand on DarkClaw’s shoulder.

DarkClaw flinches and draws herself inward, eyes snapping open.

Seraph says, 'you need to control him or he will destroy you and everyone around you'.

Belgarion pushes his hand to the sky and fire spurts forth.

Seraph says, 'and then your lost will truly be lost'.

Belgarion slowly opens his eyes.

Belgarion says (in common), 'he’s just using words to hurt you my dear'.

DarkClaw's eyes focus past Seraph's wings and widen with alarm. Wrenching free of his touch, she hurls herself across the room and straight into Belgarion.

You say, 'NOOOOOO!!!!!!'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'it is not complete yet'.

Belgarion looks at the eye floating in the room.

Ghazkull moves slowly and deliberately towards Belgarion and DarkClaw, glaring at Seraph as he moves.

DarkClaw growls, "DO NOT...go further!"

Belgarion bows deeply.

Seraph turns and looks at Belgarion.
Seraph waves his hand all his protective armor vanishes.
Seraph says, 'finish what you have started dog'.
Seraph opens his arms wide.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you are not going to goad me into this'.

Seraph says, 'fine'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you have no idea Seraph'.

Seraph kicks Belgarion across the room against the wall.

Belgarion groans loudly.

Seraph says, 'come on dog'.
Seraph says, 'finish it'.
Seraph hisses protect your lost do it.

DarkClaw hisses at Seraph and hurls herself at him, claws digging into his shoulders and wings. "You are no longer welcomed here."

Ghazkull looks questioningly at Belgarion, hand instinctively going to his weapon.

DarkClaw shouts, "Ghaz! DO NOT let him do anything stupid!"

Ghazkull's lips curl back in a snarl.

Belgarion brings himself to his full height.

Seraph backs up grabbing DarkClaw by the throat lifting her off the floor yelling: YOU TOLD HIM NOT TO BUT HE STARTED THE SPELL.
Seraph voice turns demonic: YOU HAVE LOST CONTROL.

Belgarion whispers no Seraph.

DarkClaw chokes and wheezes, struggling to free herself from Seraph's grasp, her strength obviously not what it should be.

Belgarion whispers she has not lost control.

Seraph shouts YOU TOLD HIM NO HE ATTACKED YOUR FRIEND.

Belgarion says (in common), 'she never asked me once to not attack someone'.

Seraph gently puts DarkClaw back on her feet.
Seraph says, 'As I said before I have not come to fight you'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you show it in odd ways Seraph'.

DarkClaw falls to the temple floor, weak and gasping, head lowered in both defeat and shame.

Seraph glances at Belgarion then looks at DarkClaw.
Seraph holds out his hand to help DarkClaw up.
Seraph says, 'stand DarkClaw'.

Belgarion seems to be uncoordinated.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'look me in the eyes'.

DarkClaw looks past Seraph's hand, towards Belgarion, her features showing alarm again as she notices that his eyes are completely white.

Belgarion stumbles around the room.

Seraph looks at Belgarion.
Seraph says, 'he is going DarkClaw'.

Belgarion whispers " I needed to finish.

Ghazkull runs over to Belgarion and tries to support his weight.

Belgarion holds on to Ghazkull.

Belgarion whispers "I am blinded.

Seraph says, 'he is going to the realm of souls DarkClaw'.

Belgarion shakes his head.
Belgarion says (in common), 'no'.

Ghazkull nods in recognition to Belgarion.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I am blind from not completing the spell'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it’s worn off what I started now'.

DarkClaw growls and somehow manages to push to her knees, "He will never be yours to take, Fallen One."

Belgarion says (in common), 'had I at least collected what I needed to'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'then I would be fine'.

Seraph says, ‘I don't want him'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion looks blindly in the voices direction.

Seraph says, 'what I want is for him to finish his spell'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'its to late this time'.

Seraph says, ‘I have no use for him'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'unfortunately I cannot complete the spell right now'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have lost the strength needed'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and of course I cannot see'.

Seraph looks at Belgarion’s eyes.

DarkClaw closes her eyes in obvious relief, even if only temporary, and grabs ahold of the bookshelf, using it as leverage to stand.

Seraph says, ‘I can help him'.

Ghazkull looks worryingly at DarkClaw.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you cannot help me Seraph'.

DarkClaw mutters a spell beneath her breath to remove Belgarion's blindness.

Belgarion shakes his head.

Seraph says, ‘I can help him DarkClaw'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I am afraid that no spell will work'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'maybe in time'.
Belgarion shrugs.

Seraph turns to DarkClaw.
Seraph says, ‘I can help him'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'DarkClaw do not let him help me please'.

DarkClaw looks on, distressed, and stutters, "Y-you...cannot be blind! You're my ordained!"

Seraph says, ‘I will help him if he leaves my dear one alone'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'he does not want your help, Seraph'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have no intention of attacking Samiyah again'.

DarkClaw looks to Ghazkull as if there would be something he should do, then to Seraph. "You do not leave MY dear one alone, yet you expect it of him."

Seraph says, ‘I will leave Belgarion alone to work on his spell'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if this blindness dissipates'.
Belgarion sighs loudly.

Seraph says, 'let me help him DarkClaw'.

Belgarion shakes his head.

DarkClaw's gaze flicks to Belgarion's neck, to the pulse beating there beneath his skin, struggling with the forever internal battle of hunger.
DarkClaw whispers, "...Help."

Seraph grabs DarkClaw by her hand and pulls her into the shadows with him.
Seraph tells you, 'follow me'.

Ghazkull murmurs, 'Be Strong, Star. You have managed for so long'

You now follow Seraph.
Seraph disappears instantly.

The Temple of the Lost: Ghazkull & Belgarion

(Log by Belgarion)

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'Seraph disappeared and dragged DC with him'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'we have to find them!'.

You say (in common), ‘I can’t'.
You say (in common), ‘I can’t see'.

Ghazkull forgets himself.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I know'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I will help, in any way that I can'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'just tell me what I need to do'.

You say (in common), ‘I needed to collect the rest of the elements to do this'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'elements?'.

You say (in common), 'then I would still have the strength and sight'.
You say (in common), 'the spell is based from the elements'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'what does this spell do?'.

You say (in common), 'it will make Seraph mortal so I can kill him'.

Ghazkull gasps in astonishment.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'in that case'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I can think of no greater need.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I want to help'.

You nod.

Ghazkull nods at himself; he must be getting senile.

You say (in common), 'well first we must figure out how to get me to see again'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'of course... although I fear that will be no easy task'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), ‘I am sure it will have to do with the elements'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'the elements...'.

Ofcol: The Golden Citadel - Seraph & DarkClaw

In a Hallway of the Golden Citadel
[Exits: east west]
(Intense Dark Purple Aura) Seraph is here.
(Light Red Aura) A page is here, dripping blood.
(Light Red Aura) A decaying knight tests the air.

Seraph says, 'the page'.
Seraph grabs the page and bends his head sideways.
Seraph says, 'you need this. Feed'.

DarkClaw snarls and reaches out quickly for the offering, yanking the head even further to the side and digging her fangs deep into the page's throat.
DarkClaw groans at the sweet taste of nectar sliding past her tongue and into her throat, wrapping her arms about the page tightly.

Seraph says, 'he is dead DarkClaw'.

DarkClaw hisses and hangs onto the corpse, obviously not back to herself yet.
DarkClaw finally releases her hold on the page's lifeless body, swiping across her mouth with her hand.

Seraph grins evilly at you.
Seraph disappears instantly.

Temple of the Lost: Return and Reassurance

[Exits: west]
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Intense Dark Purple Aura) Seraph is here.
(Dark Purple Aura) Ghazkull is here.
(Dark Purple Aura) Belgarion is here.

Ghazkull blinks.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'they have returned, Belgarion'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'thank you Ghaz'.

Ghazkull helps Belgarion over to a makeshift chair.

DarkClaw steps back out of the shadows behind Seraph, her color and strength returned.

Belgarion gingerly sits down.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have to talk to DarkClaw about something Seraph'.

Seraph says, 'by all means'.
Seraph walks towards the shadows.

DarkClaw looks to Seraph quickly, "Wait..."

Seraph stops......"yes"

DarkClaw lowers her eyes and whispers, "Thank you."

Seraph nods his head towards DarkClaw.
Seraph steps into the shadows.

Belgarion says (in common), 'has Seraph left?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'he appears to have'.

You say, 'He is gone.'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'I believe I have figured out how to get my sight back'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'since I wasn’t able to being the elements together'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it caused this'.

You say, 'My spell should have worked. Perhaps...perhaps because I was...weakened."'.

DarkClaw trails off.

Belgarion says (in common), 'DarkClaw my dear'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'there is nothing you could have done'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'there is nothing anyone could have done'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'not even Seraph'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but in my weakened state I couldn’t confront him'.

DarkClaw whispers, "It is my duty to protect you, yet I..."

Belgarion shakes his head.
Belgarion says (in common), 'no he started this you will take no blame'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I believe if you can get the following members to gather the elements'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and bring them to you'.

You say, 'And if the elements won't answer?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'fire, water. earth, and wind'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'we can do this'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'if they don't work then we look for another way.'.

Belgarion bows deeply.
Belgarion says (in common), 'thank you Ghazkull'.

You say, 'So now I have to decide whether to leave you blind or let you cast the spell?!'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'to be honest that is my fault my dear'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I should have told you'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'had I brought the 4 elements together'.

DarkClaw groans and begins pacing the room. "YES, you should have!"

Belgarion says (in common), 'you could have stopped me then'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and nothing would have happened'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but in the midst of the calling'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it was too much'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and Ghaz I want to apologize to you'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'for what?'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'you have nothing to apologize for'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'we interrupted you and I feel that you need your explanations'.
Belgarion sighs loudly.

DarkClaw looks to Ghazkull worriedly. "Ghaz...forgive me..."

Ghazkull smiles at you.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I seem to be on a backwards slide here'.
Belgarion slowly stands.

You say, 'I had no idea that you would suffer from my actions. I...there was no other way. So much blood.'.

Ghazkull nods in recognition to you.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I... understand'.

You say, 'You have to feed...from someone...for the transformation to be complete.'.

Ghazkull nods.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I thought as much'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'what can I expect?'.

You say, 'I had no intention of forcing it upon you.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'you wanted me to live, you did what you had to...'.

DarkClaw nods slowly. "When you are ready...I will help."

Ghazkull nods.
Ghazkull looks at DarkClaw and softly murmurs, 'Thank you for saving my life'

DarkClaw's lips curve in a ghost of a smile and she nods again.

Belgarion stumbles towards the voices.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I’m right here Belg'.

Ghazkull runs to steady Belgarion.

DarkClaw steps over to reach for Belgarion, lacing one hand of fingers with his.

Belgarion reaches out to gather the people in the room.

You say, 'Looks like you will be sleeping in the temple for a time.'.

Ghazkull laughs.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'might need to fix the walls up a bit, you made quite a dent in one Belg!'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'all the steel'.
Belgarion grins evilly.

You raise your eyebrow at him.

Ghazkull chuckles, evidently amused.

Belgarion laughs.

In The Halls of the Immortals

NOTE: To avoid any confusion: This discussion was ENTIRELY in character ROLEPLAY, and is not part of any disciplinary action whatsoever.

Cordir: hello, Star

DarkClaw: Good morning, Cordir.  :-)

Cordir: how are you and yours?

DarkClaw: Well enough. And you?

Cordir: fine, I suppose.

DarkClaw: *sighs and slumps down into a sitting position* Forgive me, that was a lie. Not well at all.

Cordir: *raises an eyebrow* what is wrong?

DarkClaw: This whole...Seraph thing. It's gotten out of hand and I fear now that I've made it worse.

Cordir: what is he doing? I don't know much about it other than rumors of some laughable spell...?

DarkClaw: *lets out a heavy sigh and runs a hand over her face, trying to collect herself* Belgarion, he...he's making a spell to destroy Seraph.
DarkClaw: To make him mortal so that he can kill him himself.
DarkClaw: He tried casting it last night...

Cordir: Oh did he?

DarkClaw: *looks up to you quickly, unsure of the tone in your words* I stopped him.
DarkClaw: I had to...though Seraph urges me to allow it.

Cordir: Star, if mortals had the ability to undo that which Tynian himself does not and will not do... do you honestly think that we would not all have been killed
Cordir: a dozen times over?
Cordir: I give your fellow equal measure for sheer arrogance and utter stupidity
Cordir: and he is wise he did not approach me as Seraph indicated he might.
Cordir: I would have turned him into a steaming pile of bone and flesh for the effrontery.

DarkClaw: *winces and lowers her gaze, adequately silenced and refraining from speaking more on the matter*

Cordir: *mildly* Star, I have no issue with you.
Cordir: But your boy sounds like an idiot.

###Seraph: Entered Game

Seraph: morning

Cordir: Hello, Seraph. We were just talking about your ...er... admirer.

Seraph: ???

Cordir: if it can be termed that.

DarkClaw: He only seeks to...*trails off at the appearance of the Fallen One*

Cordir: Star was saying something about a spell.

Seraph: oh the spell
Seraph: if the spell works so be it

Cordir: "Cordir, may I enter your office" would have been appropriate.
Cordir: You do not have a standing invitation.

Seraph: nod

Cordir: Star, I have known you for how many thousands of years?

DarkClaw: *quietly* Since as far back I can recall.

Cordir: Do you ever enter my garden uninvited?

DarkClaw: *shakes her head quickly* No, never.

DarkClaw: It would be a sign of disrespect.

Cordir: How correct you are.
Cordir: now. That covered....

Cordir: do go on? What is it that your fellow is trying to accomplish?

### Belgarion: Entered Game

Seraph: speak of the devil

Cordir: something about slaying an immortal - which I find absurd and offensive - but ... why?

Belgarion tells you (in common), ‘I need to talk to you'.
Belgarion arrives from the west.
Belgarion rests.

Belgarion hugs you.
Belgarion kisses you.

You hug him.
You kiss him.

DarkClaw: ...In HIS eyes...to protect the realm and those he loves.

Seraph: while turning his blade on friends

Cordir: and does the Realm need protecting from Seraph?
Cordir: Seraph, are you violating Tynian's laws?

Seraph: no

DarkClaw: In HIS eyes, yes...he feels so.
DarkClaw: I...am not so sure anymore.

Cordir: .. if so it is not the place of a mortal to judge but to bring it to a Deity.
Cordir: has Belgarion done so?

Seraph: this is a man that tried to kill your friend for having a different opinion from his

Cordir: and which of Tynian's laws have been broken, praytell?

DarkClaw: Only to me.

Cordir: and have you brought his complaint forward through the proper channels?

DarkClaw: *hangs her head and murmurs* No. I intended to stop him. I ordered it so.
DarkClaw: The Fallen One knows this.

Cordir: So because of your inaction in addressing an accusation of wrongdoing ... to higher authorities.. you have a follower attempting to usurp TYNIANs authority?
Cordir: am I understanding correctly?

Seraph: cordir if I may speak

Cordir: I would like Star's answer first
Cordir: and then yes, by all means.

DarkClaw: *flinches in response to the implied accusation* Yes...you are correct, Lady Cordir.

Cordir: I love you like a sister, Star, but your common sense is sometimes overruled by your Thirsts...
Cordir: and yes, I meant the plural.
Cordir: now deal with your boy or bring forth his accusation.
Cordir: and it will be dealt with.

Cordir: now.
Cordir: Seraph.
Cordir: what did you have to add?

DarkClaw: *lifts her head to look at Cordir again, a look of surprise on her features before she masks it and nods*

Seraph: I say let him try to destroy me he tried to start last night
Seraph: he is a rabid dog off his leash that DarkClaw cannot control

Cordir: While it does seem like the there is a chain of authority issue here...
Cordir: I do not encourage Immortal Disrespect
Cordir: which, at its core, this seems to be.

Seraph: if he does destroy me, then so be it. I will join the rest of the sleeping gods

Cordir: He wishes to take Tynian's authority.

Seraph: he is mortal with a god complex

Seraph: he does what he wants, when he wants, with no punishment
Seraph: so let him run his spell

Cordir: How much more disrespectful - to his Goddess, to Seraph, to Tynian - can he be?

Cordir: No.
Cordir: if he has a complaint, he should make his formal charges.
Cordir: otherwise, like any other situation of disagreement, it is noise on the wind.

Seraph: he can feel and think or say what he wants about me I don't care
Seraph: I know my time is drawing to a end

Cordir: Star, does Belgarion have cause for complaint against Seraph?

### Wish: Entered Game

Wish: I am back

Cordir: Hello, Wish.

DarkClaw: ...I am unsure, honestly. Justifiably, probably not.

Wish: hello cordir

DarkClaw: I believe his vision is...was...clouded.

Cordir: Then, like any other accusation - tell him to make it or shut up.

Wish: oooooo

Wish: I must have missed something

Cordir: (rp)

Wish: ahhh...
Wish: I make a pretty good impartial judge...is there some dispute I may be of service to resolve?

DarkClaw: *nods once, slowly, and holds Cordir's gaze for a long moment before turning away*

Cordir: No, Attendant, there is not.

Wish: well, if you change your mind, please let me know

Cordir: I am Perfectly capable of judging.
Cordir: and Star, if you disagree, speak to me - now or in private.

Wish: I would never suggest otherwise

Cordir: excellent, Wish.

You ftell, 'Actually, YOU are the 5th. You are Spirit.'.

Belgarion ftells, 'ok then we use the eye to bring them forth'.

Belgarion ftells, 'your welcome'.

Reconciliation

You tell DarkClaw (in common), '*distantly* .. With your permission, DarkClaw, may I enter your temple?'.

DarkClaw [GS] tells you, '*softly* Of course, Sami...always.'.

Temple of the Lost
[Exits: west]
Silence...almost deafening in this temple, the darkness all-consuming within
the seemingly hollow room. Suddenly, as if triggered by those present, a soft
purple glow spreads from the center of the shrine. As eyes adjust to the
change, the source of the dim lighting is revealed as a glass-shaped eye that
hovers in mid-air above the smooth, marble floor. Smooth all except for a
large, charred, square patch of dirt in front of each of the four walls...odd.
Above, the ceiling is open showing more of the same darkness, not a single
star twinkling among the Heavens. The Eastern wall is completely covered by a
massive shelving unit holding books and old, faded scrolls, making one wonder
as to the history of this place and the Immortal that it belongs to. What
mysteries lie within those readings? A large mural hangs from the Southern
wall, the color so vibrant that it makes the emptiness of the room seem barren
and tragic. The strong feel of magic is noticeable in this temple, but its
threads are chaotic...confused and constantly shifting. Symbolic of the
Immortal that resides here? Perhaps.
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Invis 70) (Intense Dark Purple Aura) [GS] DarkClaw is here.

You say (in common), 'I do not know what your worshipper told you.'.

You say (in common), 'but I would have you hear it from my lips.'.

DarkClaw looks onto Sami with regret and perhaps shame. "I will of course hear it."

You say (in common), 'I spoke with him.'.
You say (in common), 'He told me that you had forbidden him the spell'.
You say (in common), 'but said that he might attempt it in the future.'.
You say (in common), 'I told him that I thought it was wrong.'.
You say (in common), 'He said it was wrong of the Sahib to do "as he sees fit"'.
You say (in common), 'so I asked if you have a keeper'.
You say (in common), 'or if Boromir has a guard to keep him from making bad jokes'.
You say (in common), 'or if Hutt has someone that attends to his manners'.
You say (in common), 'I told him that for a mortal to dictate to an immortal is halal.'.
You say (in common), 'but that I could not stop him.'.
You say (in common), 'He then declared that he would have to 'do something.
You say (in common), 'but he did not say what'.
You say (in common), 'and that you would blame me for it'.
You say (in common), 'I said that I had done nothing wrong'.
You say (in common), 'except tell him that he was wrong'.

DarkClaw raises a brow, her features getting more angry by the second.

You say (in common), 'and that if you blamed me for it..'.
You say (in common), 'then yes, to the Guardian with both of you.'.
You say (in common), 'which was of bad temper of me, and disrespectful'.
You say (in common), 'and I apologize'.

Samiyah bows rigidly.

You say (in common), 'when I said that, he got angry and said something about retiring or sleep..'.
You say (in common), 'and he walked away.'.

You say (in common), 'At that point, I went to your temple'.
You say (in common), 'Since he had said you would blame me for some action of his'.
You say (in common), 'that I still do not know what it is'.
You say (in common), 'I did not enter'.

DarkClaw shakes her head and steps toward Samiyah, but stops herself, unsure of the reception. "You have no reason to apologize, Sami."

You say (in common), 'instead, I stayed outside, and spoke loudly.'.
You say (in common), 'At which point'.
You say (in common), 'he came out and he attacked me.'.

DarkClaw murmurs, "Stop..."

Samiyah looks up at you, lines across her face. "WHAT DID I DO>?!?!"
Samiyah trembles with withheld emotion.

DarkClaw sighs and closes her eyes briefly, "The error was not on your part...it is on mine."

You look at DarkClaw

Samiyah blinks slowly.

You say (in common), 'You will, I hope, forgive me for saying so, but... You do not look .. well.'.
You say (in common), 'Did the Sahib bring you harm?'.

DarkClaw steps closer, then stops at your words, shaking her head again. "I am fine...now, just...distraught and troubled."

Samiyah nods again, one hand stilling the bells in her braids.

You say (in common), 'I am sorry to hear it.'.
You say (in common), 'and sorry if I had any part in your burdens.'.

DarkClaw lowers her head and licks her lips quickly, hesitating. "Your Sahib is right."

You say (in common), 'In regards to what?'.

DarkClaw looks up again, a sad smile playing across her lips, "Would you think it odd if I told you that we found each other for a reason, you and I?"

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'No, I would not.'.
You say (in common), 'Why do you think it so?'.

You say (in common), 'and what was Sahib correct about?'.

DarkClaw says, 'I think you were sent by those more powerful than I...to remind me of my place and my errors.'.
DarkClaw says, 'And perhaps steer me in the right direction.'.

Samiyah worries on her lower lip, biting the corner of it. 'I do not like to think of myself as a goad to anyone, much less an immortal.'
You say (in common), 'that is bordering on Halal.'.
You say (in common), 'You non-tribesfolk, with your strange notions of relationships between mortal and immortal.. I will never understand it!'.
Samiyah yanks on a braid in frustration.

DarkClaw chuckles softly and reaches out to still your hand, "It's nothing to be frustrated or upset over. It was nothing but an observation."

Samiyah holds quite still at your touch.

DarkClaw says, 'Seraph is correct...I do not control when I should.'.
DarkClaw says, 'While I don't...agree with his methods...his words ring true.'.

Samiyah listens.

You say (in common), 'What of Belgarion? Will he cast his spell?'.

DarkClaw drops her hand and turns, pacing a few feet across the floor, "He does not have my permission to cast that spell. I refuse to allow him...if I am able to stop it."'.

Samiyah blinks, going pale. 'He would disobey your direct words?'

DarkClaw looks back to you and nods slowly. "I fear he would...if he thought there was risk to others that he loves. He does not hate you, Sami."

Samiyah says philosophically, 'He is a man in love with a powerful woman, with those about he sees as a threat he can do nothing about.'
You say (in common), 'there is not a man alive who would deal well with such a thing.'.

DarkClaw says, 'He lashed out in frustration and anger. For that, I apologize. He had no right.'.

You say (in common), 'You cannot apologize for him.'.
You say (in common), 'Only he can right his wrongs.'.
You say (in common), 'but if he harms me again.. '.
You say (in common), 'I will do more than simply look at him.'.

DarkClaw nods again. "I still am partially to blame for letting it happen. He has vowed never to attack you again."

You tell DarkClaw (in common), '(that's what happened in the combat, btw.)'.
You tell DarkClaw (in common), '(Sami stood. No spells. NO nothing. Raised eyebrow until I wimpied)'.
DarkClaw [GS] tells you, '(*nodnod* I had a feeling.)'.

DarkClaw whispers, "I should've never...encouraged his affection."

You blink.
You say (in common), 'do you not love him?'.

DarkClaw shakes her head quickly and rakes a hand through her hair, straightening. "I do. But there is always risk of problems arising in an immortal/mortal relationship."'.

You say (in common), 'I was speaking to the Sahib, trying to explain how strange it was that an Immortal would want friendship with a mortal'.
You say (in common), 'and the best comparison I could make was, 'Why would a King wish to befriend a frog?.

DarkClaw tilts her head a bit, lips twitching in amusement. "Do you know of such a king?"

Samiyah nods gravely.

DarkClaw blinks, clearly both intrigued and shocked, "Indeed? It appears I've not been observant on many counts."

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'It is still a source of great confusion to me.'.
You say (in common), 'but no less than when you called me a friend.'.
You say (in common), 'Which, I understand, given the circumstances, you would wish to disavow..'.

DarkClaw says, 'I still call you friend, Sami...regardless of our faults.'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
You say (in common), 'Sayyida.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Ours meaning mine and Belgarion's.'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'I am not his friend.'

DarkClaw says, 'No, he...destroyed that.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

DarkClaw starts to move across the floor again, fidgeting with her jewelry. "...I am indebted to the Fallen One now."

You say (in common), 'In what way, Sayyida - should you wish to speak of it..?'.

DarkClaw looks to you sharply, her voice lowering a fraction, "Belgarion does not know..what happened."

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.
You say (in common), 'and I take it, by your tone, you do not wish him to know, should you speak of it?'.
You say (in common), 'a ... secret? then?'.

DarkClaw nods once, exhaling and stilling her movement. "A secret. Your Sahib saved me...from feeding on Belgarion."

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'Sayyida... are you not a vampire?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Of course I am.'.

You say (in common), 'Do not vampires feed from mortals?'.

DarkClaw sighs and nods again. "I feed only from those who allow it. It has been thus for more years than I can count now."

You say (in common), 'Does not Belgarion give oath to you?'.

DarkClaw says, 'He does not wish it.'.

You say (in common), 'He is mortal. You are Immortal. He is your servant. You are his Mistress.'.
You say (in common), 'What say does he have in the matter? If it is your will...'.
You say (in common), 'If you Thirst, then your people should feed you.'.
You say (in common), 'Willingly. Joyfully. Obediently.'.
You say (in common), 'Such is the way of things.'.

DarkClaw says, 'They do not worship me to be blooddolls.'.
DarkClaw scowls.

You say (in common), 'I do not know this word, blooddoll... but .. if they _worship_ you... does that not give you dominion?'.
You say (in common), 'or are they only giving what is convenient and easy?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Of course, but I CHOOSE not to feed from them.'.

You say (in common), 'We have a phrase in the desert.'.
You say (in common), '"I will offer up no sacrifice to my God that costs me naught, for if I do, then my sacrifice is naught."'.
You say (in common), 'it seems that they wish much from you, but do not give in return.'.

DarkClaw says, 'They are free of blame in this matter. I refuse to give them the option to deny me. It's a choice I make solely on my own.'.

You say (in common), 'I do not understand, Sayyida, the reason in such a choice. But it is not for me to understand.'.
You say (in common), 'You lead. Therefore, you must be strong. Yet you do not feed, which makes you weak. Which in turn, lets your people be weak.'.
You say (in common), 'The desert ways are harsh... but they are strong, Sayyida.'.

DarkClaw chuckles ruefully and shakes her head, "You have such a gift for pointing out my flaws, Sami. Though...unknowingly."

Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.
You say (in common), 'Truly, that is never my intent, Sayyida.'.
You say (in common), 'That would be disrespectful.'.
Samiyah drops to one knee, head bowed.

DarkClaw says, 'No, of course it isn't. I am not accusing, merely musing.'.

Samiyah slowly rises back up.

You say (in common), 'I pray you find the strength, Sayyida, to do as you must.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Thank you, Sami. I have much to...fix, to change."'.

You say (in common), 'I have taken up too much of your time, Sayyida'.
You say (in common), 'I thank you for the blessing of your time and your words'.

DarkClaw smiles at you.

You say (in common), 'and your renewed friendship.'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

DarkClaw says, 'Safe journeys, Sami. May the Fallen One watch over you.'.

Samiyah says softly, 'he always does...'

Blasphemy

Wish arrives from the east.
Wish bows before you.
Wish smiles happily.

You bow deeply.

Strad has entered the game.

Wish gives Samiyah a high five with his 6th tentacle.

You say (in common), 'Sahib! Greetings!'.

Strad bows before Wish.

Wish says, 'greeting Poet of the Sands!'.

Fzoul says (in common), 'able to use wands?'.

Samiyah shudders slightly as the tentacle approaches but does not return the gesture, her expression puzzled.

You say (in common), 'me?'.

Fzoul nods.

You say (in common), 'yea'.

Fzoul gives you a black dragon's fang.

Wish says, 'are you alarmed by my appendages, Samiyah?'.

Someone bows deeply.

You say (in common), 'Yes.'.

Wish's tentacles undulate seductively.

You say (in common), 'and I dont touch peop... acck!'.

Fzoul looks at you.

You tell Fzoul (in common), 'thank you very much!!'.
You tell Fzoul (in common), 'thank you!!'.

Fzoul grins happily.

You tell Fzoul (in common), 'sorry typo'd'.

A low grating sound can be heard as the crystal tooth suckers on the tentacles scrape along the wall of the pit.

Fzoul comforts you.

Samiyah hops back away from the aforementioned tentacles.

Wish says, 'There is no reason to be alarmed. '.

You say (in common), 'Shepherd protect us!'.

Wish says, 'I am harmless...mostly.'.

Fzoul says (in common), 'most shepherd prolly can’t swim'.
Fzoul says (in common), 'so not much help there'.

Wish nods in recognition to Fzoul.

Samiyah takes another step slowly away, her expression less alarmed but still cautious.

Wish says, 'Samiyah, why do you not touch people?'.

Wish says, 'may I inquire?'.

You say (in common), 'It is halal.'.
You say (in common), 'against the laws and traditions of my tribe.'.

Wish says, 'i am confused...my understanding is that the definition of "halal" is "permissible"'.
Wish says, 'do you mean to say it is not halal?'.

You frown. What's bothering you?

Wish tells you, 'ooc in arabic "haraam" is the word that means not permissible'.

You say (in common), 'My elders use that word to describe that which is wrong'.

Wish says, 'i see'.
Wish says, 'Who are you elders, might I ask?'.

Wish says, 'I am unfamiliar with your tribe'.

You tell Wish (in common), 'well shit, that’s what I get for trusting online translation pages'.

You say (in common), 'of the desert..'.

Wish tells you, 'heh...i won’t tell if you won’t'.

You say (in common), 'Abdul Malik..'.
You say (in common), 'Abdul Hakim...'.

You say (in common), 'and ..'.
You shudder from the sheer thought of it.

Fzoul says (in common), 'Karim Abdul?'.

You say (in common), 'abdul Salam'.

Wish frowns at what Fzoul did.
Wish says, 'well, i am sure your elders are (were?) very wise'.

You say (in common), 'We are taught to trust their wisdom but...'.
You say (in common), 'The Sahib says that not all they teach is His will'.

Wish says, 'may I ask...are they also forbidden to touch others?'.

You ponder the question.

You say (in common), 'I have never seen them do so'.

Wish nods.

Wish says, 'i see..and who exactly is "The Sahib?"'.
Wish says, '?'.
Wish says, 'am I "Sahib" as well?'.

You say (in common), 'You are a Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'He is The Sahib.'.

Wish says, 'he being Seraph?'.

You bow deeply.
You nod.

Wish says, 'what makes him "The" Sahib?'.

You say (in common), 'That is complicated.'.
You say (in common), 'partly because I was raised not to speak His name.'.
You say (in common), 'and others also advised me not to do so'.

Wish says, 'but do you worship him? '.
Wish says, 'as many mortals worship other immortals?'.

You say (in common), 'And partly because one should not be overly familiar with Immortals'.
You say (in common), 'that too is a complex thing.'.
You say (in common), 'He is The Sahib - the trine god of my people'.
You say (in common), 'the Shepherd, the Teacher and the guardian'.
You say (in common), 'so...'.
You say (in common), 'in a sense...'.
You say (in common), 'but...'.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'He is also the Destroyer. The Fallen One'.

Wish says, 'i see...so your people do not believe in one true God? One true Creator?'.

You say (in common), 'The highest god of all - Tynian - of course'.

Wish laughs.

You say (in common), 'The pantheon is a complex and terrifying thing'.

Wish says, 'well, many believe Tynian to be the one true god, but of course they are all mistaken...including Tynian'.

Ghazkull arrives from the east.

You gasp in astonishment.
You faint.

Wish says, 'Tynian, as great and powerful as he is, is only the tool of the true One God.'.

Ghazkull looks quizzically at Samiyah.

Wish says, 'as are we all'.
Wish says, 'Lord Nash, praise be, is the One True God.'.

Ghazkull mutters the words 'Nash' under his breath and leaves while nodding to himself.
Ghazkull leaves east.

You say (in common), 'BLASPHEMER!!'.
You point at him accusingly.

Wish says, 'not at all'.
Wish says, 'Speaking the truth is never blasphemy'.
Wish says, 'as you must admit'.

Samiyah covers her ears and begins speaking prayers to the Teacher.

Wish says, 'Living in ignorance is always a choice'.
Wish says, 'and certainly more painless than seeking out the truth'.
Wish says, 'or less painful, whichever way you wish to describe it'.

Samiyah continues her prayers steadfastly ignoring the blasphemer.

Wish smiles at you.
Wish shrugs.

Wish says, 'Samiyah, I command you to face me and listen.'.
Wish says, 'Call me Blasphemer as you will, but to ignore me is impolite.'.

Samiyah obediently removes her hands from her ears and faces the Immortal.

Wish says, 'I only share with you my beliefs. You may choose to believe otherwise.'.

You nod.

Wish says, 'finally, before I go'.
Wish says, 'Remember this well:'.

You say (in common), 'I believe otherwise, Sahib.'.

Samiyah listens, as commanded.

Wish says, 'Have your elders not led you astray before?'.
Wish says, 'That is a rhetorical question.'.

You say (in common), 'I do not know what the truth of it is.'.

Wish says, 'I have enjoyed our discussion, and I do hope it was not distressful to you.'.

You say (in common), 'It was, yes - distressing.'.

Wish says, 'You must seek out your own truth, Samiyah.'.

You say (in common), 'Do you command it, Sahib?'.

Wish says, 'I do not.'.
Wish says, 'All such things must be your choice.'.
Wish says, 'To seek or not seek the truth. '.
Wish says, 'to believe or not to believe'.
Wish says, 'These are things no one should ever command of another.'.
Wish says, 'Blind obedience is the ultimate in tyranny. I must go'.
Wish bows before you.
Wish waves happily.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'good bye Sahib'.

Wish has left the game.

Samiyah prays, 'Hello Sahib.'.

Someone tells you, 'hello dear one'.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

Seraph nods. Seraph says, 'how are you?'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'why would you want to leave Midgaard?'.

Samiyah prays, 'well, it is a dangerous place and living on the frontier would save time and travel over water'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'so you want the easy path?'.

You tell Seraph (in common), ‘I.... did not see it that way, Sahib...'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'ok let me ask this is that the smart move?'.

Samiyah prays, 'moving to the Frontier is logistically expedient'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'then you do what you think is best'.

Samiyah prays, 'You seem disappointed.'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'not at all'. Seraph [GS] tells you, ‘I just want you to choose it because you want to not because people tell you to'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'oh. no one told me to!'.

Seraph smiles at you.

You tell Seraph (in common), ‘I just go there a lot so it seemed to make sense'.

Seraph nods in recognition to you.

You tell Seraph (in common), ‘I don't understand...'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, ‘I will tell you something and speak of it to no one'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Your words command me, Sahib. I will be silent.'.

(SNIP!! – Per Seraph’s request, this section has been edited from the log.)

You tell Seraph (in common), ‘I will obey, Sahib'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'take time to think about my offer to you'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Why did you say that I serve all the gods?'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'because you do'. Seraph [GS] tells you, 'you go to DarkClaw for guidance. Their word is your law'. Seraph [GS] tells you, 'good bye Samiyah'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Forgive me Sahib but he word is NOT my law!'.

Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

Misunderstandings

Someone tells you, 'hello, Samiyah'.

You wake and stand up.
You tell someone (in common), 'Greetings... Sahib?'.

Someone steps out of the shadows.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Someone says, 'how are you this fine evening?'.

You say (in common), 'I am working hard on earning gold.'.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'but it has been a mostly uneventful and quiet evening.'.

Someone says, 'such a shame'.

You say (in common), 'I was speaking with Ink earlier about facilitating a mercantile arrangement..'.

You say (in common), 'I am not sure what will come of it.. but we shall see.'.

Samiyah smiles secretively.

You say (in common), 'You are displeased that the evening has been quiet?'.

Someone says, 'no I am not displeased'.

Someone says, 'what are you trying to get?'.

You say (in common), 'a gift for You, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'a gift?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'yes, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'But I dare not speak of it, lest I jinx the bargain.'.

Someone sits down and thinks deeply.
Someone says, 'now I wonder what kind of gift'.
Someone smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'Earlier in the day, Sahib Squishy Wish was asking me many questions..'.
You say (in common), 'It made me very uncomfortable.'.

Someone says, 'how so?'.

You say (in common), 'He commanded me to turn and face him and listen to all that he said.'.
You say (in common), 'For what he had been speaking was blasphemy'.
You say (in common), 'so I turned away and covered my ears.'.

Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'what was he saying?'.

Samiyah says indignantly, 'He called the Highest Sahib, Tynian, a .. a.. "tool" of Some Nash Person!'
Samiyah spits at such blasphemy.

Someone says, 'wish has been brain washed by many who believe in the Nash faith'.

You say (in common), 'well, he wrongly claims it is all truth.'.

Someone says, 'let him believe what he wants it causes no harm to anyone'.

You say (in common), 'he asked me questions of You'.
You say (in common), 'and my beliefs'.

Someone says, 'oh'.
Someone folds his hands behind his back.
Someone says, 'and what was he asking?'.

Samiyah answers quietly, 'Whether or not I worship you.'

Someone says, 'ahhh'.
Someone says, 'did you tell him you worship all the gods?'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'I did not.'.
You say (in common), 'That would not be true.'.

You say (in common), 'I told him I was raised to believe in the Three - as - One ..'.
You say (in common), 'the Shepherd, the Teacher and the Guardian'.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'He asked me the names of the Elders..'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'and'.

You say (in common), 'He tried to touch me with one of his tentacles, but I jumped away.'.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'and told him such things were not right.'.
You say (in common), 'my hand, to clarify'.
Samiyah turns up her palm.

(long moment of quiet)

Samiyah says hesitantly, 'Hello?'

Someone looks at your hand.
Someone says, 'what would you like me to do?'.

You say (in common), 'I was showing You where he tried to touch me.'.
You say (in common), 'he waved a tentacle at my hand. I don't understand why.'.
You shrug.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'strange'.

You say (in common), 'It is beyond my mortal means to understand the thoughts of Immortals.'.

You say (in common), 'he asked if he was a Sahib'.
You say (in common), 'and I said that as an Immortal, he was..'.
You say (in common), 'and he asked why You are The Sahib and he is "a" Sahib'.
You say (in common), 'and then that got into the worshipping discussion.'.

Someone laughs.

You say (in common), 'It was a confusing discussion.'.

Someone says, 'tell him the truth'.
Someone says, 'you worship no one'.

You say (in common), 'I said that it was complicated.'.

Someone says, 'you believe what was taught to you'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'I believe in the Teacher, the Defender and the Shepherd.'.

Someone says, 'but you have the power to believe in something else'.

You say (in common), 'That ... may yet be seen.'.

Someone says, 'you do'.
Someone says, 'you don’t have to believe what the tribe does'.

You say (in common), '... is what the Tribe teaches wrong?'.

Someone says, 'it’s what they believe'.

Wish shouts, 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!'.

Someone says, 'but you dont have to follow there faith'.

You say (in common), 'and as You remind me often, that is my home...'.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!'.
Vidal shouts (in common), 'ALL HAIL THE ARCH-LICH OF THE BLACK CONCLAVE!'.

Nero shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!!'.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE THE SPECTRE LORD!!!'.
Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE THE PHANTOM!!!'.

Strad has entered the game.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'and the cuddlefish?'.

Samiyah claps her hands over her ears.

You smile at him.
Strad smiles at you.

Strad waves happily.
Strad leaves east.

Someone says, 'it is your home yes that is true'.
Someone says, 'but you don’t live there anymore'.

Strad arrives from the east.
Strad says (in common), 'hate being fined for over - randoms.'.
Strad chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah asks carefully, 'Sahib... are You displeased with me? You have been abrupt of late, saying strange things, and do not grant me sight..'

Strad feels like he's interrupting.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Strad leaves.
Strad bows deeply.
Strad leaves east.

Someone says, 'displeased with you no'.

Samiyah fidgets, toying with the fringed edge of one long end of her veil.

Someone says, 'displeased with the elders yes'.

Samiyah bows in sheer relief.
Samiyah murmurs, 'Thank You, Sahib.'

Someone says, 'no need to thank me, Samiyah'.
Someone smiles happily.

Someone says, 'you know, Samiyah, after all our talks hour after hour I still don’t think'.
Someone says, 'you fully understand'.

You say (in common), 'Understand what, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'There is much You have said over that span that I do not comprehend, but I always listen.'.

Someone says, 'that you have the power of choice'.

You say (in common), 'There are certain things I could do... yes... but I made an oath to my Mother that I would not..'.
You say (in common), 'I would have to break my sworn word, and that I would not do lightly.'.

Someone says, 'she is your mother, yes, but her best interest was not you'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.
You say (in common), 'How could You say such a thing, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'She is my _mother_... she saved me..'.

Someone says, 'perhaps'.
Someone says, 'ask her how she got you out alive some time'.

You say (in common), 'I remember it... mostly..'.

Someone moves his hands inside of his armor.

You say (in common), 'She woke me - I had fallen asleep by the altar, I think..'.
You say (in common), 'and she cut a slit in the back of the tent, so that we could slip out'.
You say (in common), 'and before the sun rose, she led me out of the camp and through the dunes '.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'to where the sands shimmer and dance from a magical wind'.
You say (in common), 'she gave me her blessing, she asked for my oath, and then she went and concealed our tracks'.

Someone says, 'and what was her oath you swore to'.

You say (in common), 'To swear no oath to a man not of the tribes, or to any of the Gods-Who-Walk.'.

Someone starts saying your mother’s oath.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Someone says, 'now why would she do that?'.

Samiyah says automatically, 'To protect me.'

Someone says, 'how is that protecting you?'.

Samiyah blinks slowly, thinking about it for the first time.

You say (in common), 'Well... because I am from the tribes, a man not of the tribes would not understand my culture, or upbringing..'.

Nero shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!!'.
Wish shouts, 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!'.

You say (in common), 'and Because she knew that the Gods Who Walk can be false, and deceitful, and I should trust in the Three.'.
You say (in common), 'or blasphemers, such as the Sahib Wish.'.

Someone says, 'all good points'.
Someone says, 'but'.

Someone says, 'marry no man outside the tribe knowing you will not return'.

Someone says, 'could also mean she doesn’t want you to change so you will depend on her'.

You say (in common), 'How could I be depending on her, Sahib -- I have not seen her in many, many years..'.

You say (in common), 'I have been alone and on my own for all of that time, with only myself to depend upon.'.

Samiyah allows, 'Some friends, yes -- good friends --- Aoide, and Eathor, and Shilea, and Tes...'
You say (in common), 'And my sworn-brother, Cresom..'.

You say (in common), 'But I do not have Tribe, or following. Just myself.'.

Someone says, 'you are right I stand corrected'.

Samiyah says humbly, 'I was not attempting correction, Sahib. I was disagreeing..'

Someone smiles happily.
Someone says, 'I know'.
Someone smiles at you.

Some tension leaves her shoulders at Your smile.
Samiyah says haltingly, 'I do not know if my own mother would recognize me now.'

Someone says, 'no matter who stands before you, you must always stand up for what you believe in'.

You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'she will'.

Samiyah gestures at the dark aura around her body, and stammers, 'I use the spells of a vampire, sucking the life out of my opponents.'

Someone says, 'for what reason?'.

You say (in common), 'It was the spell that came most easily to me. I tried learning the bolts of lightning, and the magic stones..'.
You say (in common), 'but they were not strong.'.
You say (in common), 'but when I cast the vampire touch...'.
You say (in common), 'it was very strong. powerful.'.
You say (in common), 'so I studied it... and I am very good at it now.'.

Samiyah admits, 'but sometimes it feels ...wrong.'

Someone says, 'traits of DarkClaw'.

Samiyah looks in the direction of your voice. 'I learned it, Sahib, after the first time you drew on my soul.'
You say (in common), 'when you did so to scare me.'.
You say (in common), 'I thought perhaps I could use to steal it back, if you took my spirit.'.
You say (in common), 'I do not bite people.'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'I said traits'.

Samiyah says hesitantly, 'It .. heals me... when I use it.'
You say (in common), 'The way that souls make You feel better.'.

Someone says, 'that is true'.

Samiyah gestures at the inky aura around her. 'They are like Your shadows.'

Someone says, 'close'.

You say (in common), 'Though I cannot vanish into them.'.
You say (in common), 'Sometimes I wish that I could.'.

Someone runs his hand across the inky aura.

Samiyah wraps her arms around her thin frame, hugging herself to still the shivers that shudder through her.

You say (in common), 'that.. felt...'.
You say (in common), '..strange.'.

You say (in common), 'can You feel the aura?'.
You say (in common), 'and if so - what does it feel like?'.

Someone nods in recognition to you.
Someone sits down and thinks deeply.
Someone says, 'know how it feels when lightning brightens the sky and everything gets charged'.

Samiyah nods brightly.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'like that'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'Truly, sahib?'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah runs her fingers through the aura around her, feeling none of those things.

You say (in common), 'Does it carry my spirit in it? Or is that just within me?'.

Samiyah taps her breastbone.

Someone points to your breastplate.

You say (in common), 'so the electric feeling is not me. It is this magic aura?'.

Samiyah looks a touch disappointed.

Someone says, 'no deep within you'.

Samiyah says humbly, 'Forgive me, Sahib. I do not understand.'

You say (in common), 'You said that was how the aura felt... not mine, yes?'.

Samiyah looks confused.

Someone says, 'the feeling is deep within you'.

Someone runs his hand through the aura and forming a ball with it.

(NOTE: TOTALLY missed this emote on Seraph's part, causing a big misunderstanding.)

You say (in common), 'So that's what my spirit feels like? Lightning storms?'.

Someone says, 'does it?'.

You say (in common), 'I don't know.'.
You say (in common), 'I can't sense it.'.

Someone plays with the ball.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'I feel _that_..'.
Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.

(NOTE: Thought he was playing with Sami’s soul – the blue light he wears.)

Someone stops playing with the ball.
Someone says, 'that?'.

Samiyah nods briefly. 'Yes, Sahib.'

Someone holds the ball out to you.

You say (in common), 'You do not need it or want it any more, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'it’s just a toy to me'.

Samiyah looks like she's been slapped.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
You say (in common), 'I understand, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'but touch it if you want'.

You stand up.

Opening a portal to Beside a Small Pond.
Beside a Small Pond
[Exits: east south west]
Stunted trees, most likely scrub pines, shelter this small lake,
creating an environment of peace and tranquility. A fallen log
has been deliberately placed alongside the lake's edge - a very
convenient bench upon which to sit and gaze out over the water.
The remains of a campfire are evident within a circle of stones,
evidence of food preparation.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.
A spindly, unstable-looking drying rack has been built from sticks and grass.
A small earthenware jug brimming with water stands here.

Someone says, 'you miss understand me'.

You tell someone (in common), 'did I,, Sahib?'.
You sleep.

Someone tells you, 'yes'.
Someone tells you, 'your soul piece I treasure. The inky aura is a toy to me'.

You tell someone (in common), 'You offered me my soul and said it was a toy, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'no'.

You say (in common), 'I am not a toy.'.
Samiyah clenches her fists angrily, trembling.

Someone runs his hand through the inky aura.
Someone says, 'this is not your soul'.

You say (in common), 'No, Sahib. It is shadow. It is .. it is someone.. something.. else's.'.

Someone pulls the blue gem out the air.
Someone says, 'this is your soul'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'I know, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'and you held it out and called it a toy.'.

Someone says, 'the inky aura is what I made the toy out of, not your soul'.

Someone puts the blue gem back around his head.

You say (in common), '.. that is not what it seemed You said. If I misunderstood, I apologize.'.

Someone says, 'no need to'.

Samiyah takes a few deep breaths, the release of which flutters the linen of her veil.

Someone says, 'my head is swimming with thoughts of the elders'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), '.. Do they pray loudly, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'they have messed my laws up'.

You say (in common), 'You have said that, but not explained what they taught wrongly.'.

Someone says, 'and the shaman seems lost'.

You say (in common), 'He is not one who believes he is on the wrong path. About anything.'.
You say (in common), 'or was, when I was there.'.
You say (in common), 'It has been a long time.'.

Someone says, 'law 1 - no one shows weakness'.
Someone says, 'law 2 - everyone with the spirit will lead'.
Someone says, 'law 3 - all will protect each other'.
Someone says, 'law 4 - anyone who breaks the laws will be outcast'.

Samiyah recites quietly, 'Unclean flesh has no place in the tribe - that which is unclean shall be cast out.'
Samiyah recites quietly, 'That which is sacred comes from the Three. All else is forbidden.'

Someone says, 'no'.

Samiyah recites quietly, 'The duties of men are to defend and to speak. The duties of women to tend, and to be silent.'

Someone says, 'no'.
Someone says, 'all with the spirit will lead'.
Someone says, 'be it man or woman'.

Samiyah recites, 'The codes require modesty. Touch before vow is forbidden. That which is revealed is reviled.'

Someone says, 'maybe I should leave the tribe and let them tend to themselves'.
Someone folds his hands behind his back seeming lost in thought.

Samiyah ventures 'If the shaman is the problem... Perhaps he should be replaced?'

Someone says, 'it seems my words have not been taken seriously and they do what they wish'.
Someone runs his hand along his weapon.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.

The slightest whisper of a smile crosses her face as she murmurs, 'You can be confusing some times, Sahib.' but at your gesture, it disappears.

Someone's fingers gently touch the hilt seeming lost in thought.

Samiyah asks quietly, 'What are You thinking, Sahib?'

Someone says, 'what do you think should happen, Samiyah'.

You say (in common), 'I think if Your Elder is not speaking Your truth, then he should be replaced.'.

Someone says, 'for they do not respect me or my word'.
Someone says, 'and how should I replace him?'.
Someone walks around slowly looking at you.

Samiyah goes still, feeling a bit like a mouse watched by a hawk.

You say (in common), '... retire him?'.
You say (in common), 'Raise up someone else in the tribe?'.

Someone says, 'how so?'.

You say (in common), 'Tell him he is not Your shaman anymore and he should go tend goats...'.

Someone says, 'I could do that yes'.
Someone says, 'and what if he seeks vengeance for it then what'.

You say (in common), 'How can he avenge himself against a God, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'people try it all the time'.
Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'some dogs can’t be contained'.

Samiyah says softly, 'And they fail.'

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'Belgarion is blinded - his eyes harmed, in echo of yours...'.
You say (in common), 'and I am glad of it.'.

Someone grins evilly.
Someone says, 'and what if this elder seeks to hurt others'.

You say (in common), 'then... then he would be Outcast by the other two Elders, would he not?'.
You say (in common), 'Just as I was.'.

Someone says, 'you can go back'.

You say (in common), 'You keep saying that...'.
You say (in common), 'but he will not allow it.'.

Someone says, 'who could stop you'.

You say (in common), 'The shaman. The elders. They would turn me away.'.

Someone says, 'but could they stop you'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'do You mean.. by .. by force, Sahib?'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah stammers, 'I would not force .. I would not... '

Someone says, 'think of this for a moment'.
Someone says, 'what would you do if we outcast him and he seeks revenge by taking your mother'.

Samiyah goes pale and sits down abruptly.

You say (in common), taking'... Sahib? As a husband takes a wife? or .. taking her life?'.

Someone says, 'revenge'.

Samiyah whispers, 'If I knew with certainty that Elder Salam harmed my mother, hurt her...'
Samiyah rises abruptly and paces.

The inky aura around her intensifies.
You say (in common), 'I would HURT him.'.

Someone says, 'so still think we should out cast him?'.

Samiyah turns towards your voice with horrified eyes. 'Are You saying he should be slain, not Outcast?'

Someone says, 'what do you think we should do'.

Samiyah clenches her fists, holding them to either side of her head, as if it hurts. 'I DO NOT KNOW!!'

Someone says, 'do we outcast him and hope he doesn’t seek vengeance'.
Someone says, 'or take his soul and make sure he doesn’t'.

Samiyah looks up, an expression of agony on her face. "How can we punish for something that someone has not yet DONE, but simply MIGHT do?"

Samiyah paces around the outskirts of the small pond, her booted feet kicking up puffs of dust.

Someone says, 'not everything is an easy choice'.

Samiyah whispers, 'No, Sahib.'

Samiyah stops pacing, glancing this way and that, having lost sense of where You stand. "When You battled for Your Lord, Kerri.."

You say (in common), 'Did You slay only those who had harmed Darkness?'.
You say (in common), 'or any that crossed Your path?'.

Someone says, 'I slew people that harmed us'.
Someone says, 'and people that could be threats'.

You say (in common), '...'Could be' ?'.
You say (in common), '.. but weren't?'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'most helped people against us'.
Someone says, 'they never harmed is personally but aided people in hurting us'.

Samiyah says faintly, 'I would hate to have to make that choice.'
Samiyah sits abruptly on the log by the pool.

Someone says, 'you do what you have to, to protect your kin'.

Samiyah whispers, 'If my mother was slain, I would burn Salam's tent down around his ears with him inside.'

Someone says, 'so why give him the chance?'.

Samiyah breaks her long silence. "Because he hasn't broken the laws yet."

Someone says, 'he changed my laws for his own greed'.

You say (in common), 'Yes. Then punish him for that.'.
You say (in common), 'Punish him for what he has DONE.'.
You say (in common), 'Not what he MIGHT do..'.

Someone says, 'then that’s what I will do'.

Samiyah hides her face in her hands. 'It is what is fair and just.'

Someone says, 'then that is our choice'.
Someone says, 'your choice'.

You say (in common), 'Sahib, it is not my choice to make.'.

You say (in common), 'He broke Your laws. He wronged You... to me, he... he...'.

Samiyah gets an odd look on her face.

You say (in common), '...He ...'.

Someone says, 'I asked you for a choice and you made it'.

Samiyah closes her eyes and whispers, 'He outcast me by his own laws and not Yours.'
You say (in common), 'Is that what You have been trying to tell me all along?!'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah slides off the log and onto the ground, hiding her face in her hands as she weeps.

Someone says, 'law 1'.

Samiyah cries as if her heart has broken - wrenching sobs that make her whole body shake.

Someone puts his hand on your shoulder.

Samiyah tilts her head so that her veiled cheek rests against your wrist and arm as she weeps.

Someone says, 'take your time dear one'.

Samiyah looks up at you emptily. 'He had no right. He took away my home. Made me alone for all those years.'

You say (in common), '.. but You have said I would not have grown strong, if I had stayed...'.
You say (in common), 'so was it by Your will that he did it? Was it for the better, somehow?'.

Someone says, 'my will? No. When that happened I was a sleep with the gods'.

Samiyah wipes her eyes with the end of her veil, miserable.
Samiyah whispers, 'He had no right.'

Someone says, 'but it was for the better'.

Samiyah bows her head slightly, murmuring, 'Your will, Sahib.'

Someone says, 'no not my will... yours'.
Someone says, 'you survived you grew stronger'.
Someone says, 'if you stayed you would have lost your gift'.
Someone says, 'I will ask you one more time and I want YOU and only you to think about it'.
Someone says, 'what should we do with him'.
Someone says, 'I will return for your answer'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone wings fold about you as if they was hugging you

Samiyah closes her eyes and breathes in the scent and feel of your wings around her.

Someone then turns and walks into the shadows.

DarkClaw tells you, 'Hello, Sami. I have a few minutes, yes.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), ‘I wanted to tell you that I am sorry but I cannot be your friend any more'.

DarkClaw tells you, '*blinks and raises a brow, caught off-guard by your unexpected statement* Indeed? Have I done something to offend you?'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'as the Sahib believes I am giving you worship and heeding you overmuch and this angers or disappoints him.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), '*quietly* He is the god of my people and I must obey.'.
You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'just as you are the Goddess of your people and they must obey.'.

DarkClaw tells you, '*sighs and reaches up to pet the fire bat perched on her shoulder for calming* Sami...a true God or Goddess would not pick your friends for you.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'He sees some of my actions as being influenced or directed by you.'.
You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'as an Immortal directs. '.

DarkClaw tells you, '*smirks and shakes her head* So the tables are reversed now...and here you are stuck in the middle once more.'.

Reacher tells you (in common), 'sweet'.

You nod.

Someone says, 'then'.

You say (in common), 'He has committed grievous blasphemy and done much to harm people for his own power.'.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'He should be slain, by his own laws.'.

Someone grins evilly.
Someone says, 'and who should do it?'.

Samiyah swallows hard, but stays resolute as she says the words.
You say (in common), '... I should, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), ‘I am one that he wronged.'.

Someone says, 'is that your choice or are you trying to please me?'.

You say (in common), 'Yes to both. I do try to please You but it is also the right choice.'.

Someone says, 'Samiyah....all I am doing is making sure you see both sides you have the choice to choose which direction you want to go'.

You say (in common), ‘I understand, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'You wish me to grow and to grow wiser and to be strong'.

You say (in common), 'There are times that I have not been strong and let others treat me badly'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, ‘I am sure people say I treat you badly'.
Someone says, 'or control your actions'.

You say (in common), 'yet one of those who treated me badly showed me kindness, later, after I refused to be angry'.
You say (in common), 'So it is hard to know when to act strongly and when kindless and forgiveness gains a better outcome'.

Someone says, 'you have to do what’s best for you'.

You say (in common), 'one named Sycora struck me and insulted me and I refused to be angry - that seemed what she wanted'.
You say (in common), 'and later, she offered me help.'.

Someone says, 'you didn't show weakness to her'.
Someone says, 'so she knows she can't harm you'.

You say (in common), ‘I do not know.'.

Someone nods in recognition to you.
Someone says, 'as your choices are yours'.

Someone says, 'does she hunt you?'.

You ponder the question.
You say (in common), 'if she does, I do not know it. She has not found me, at least.'.

Someone says, 'well if she does you have a choice run away or fight her'.

You say (in common), 'Sahib, when You stay hidden, it makes me believe that you are angry with me.'.

Someone says, ‘I am not angry'.

You say (in common), ‘I am glad to know that.'.

You say (in common), 'and as for her - I will not fight her. It would be as foolish to take her on in her area of expertise as it would for her to challenge me to a poetry or song contest'.

A gleeman whistles a little tune quietly to himself.

Someone says, 'then run from her if she comes hunting'.
Someone says, 'or you can strike first on to her'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), 'She is rude and wrong about me but I do not see it right to try and kill her for that.'.

You say (in common), 'is it weakness to know that fighting is not my strength and to avoid it?'.

Someone says, 'what do you think?'.

You say (in common), ‘I think there are many kinds of strength.'.
You say (in common), 'Survival and evasion are mine.'.

Someone nods in recognition to you.
Someone says, 'so what of my shield> Have you touched it?'.

You say (in common), ‘I have not, No, Sahib. Yet.'.

Someone nods.

Kahann gossips (in common), 'roger.'.

The Shield's Witness

Recall Room
[Exits: west]
You are in a simple bare white room. In no grandly ornate temple,
nor opulent merchant's office have so many thanks been given as they have
been here. For it is here, if you have the blessings of the gods,
that you have come from either danger, or a perilous long journey.

Zephyr appears suddenly.
Zephyr rests.

You say (in common), 'Hello.'.

Zephyr says (in common), 'good day lass'.

>l Zephyr
You see nothing special about him.
Zephyr has a special twinkle in his eye.
Zephyr has a few bruises.

Zephyr says (in common), 'ya been looking for sumpin?'.

You say (in common), 'er, no, it's just polite to look at people when you talk to them, so I do...'.

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I guess'.
Zephyr looks at you.

Zephyr says (in common), 'ye not be holding a weapon'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), ‘I do not need to.'.

Zephyr raises an eyebrow.

Cresom tells you (in common), 'Hello Sister'.
You tell Cresom (in common), 'Hello, brother!'.

Zephyr says (in common), 'do you know where be the earthen bracer?'.
Zephyr says (in common), ‘I needs the magic effects on it'.

You say (in common), ‘I do not know'.

Zephyr says (in common), 'did you fetch me a price on the ghost shield?'.

Samiyah glances at you again, takes a deep breath and says, 'No, but I would like to talk to you about.. well.. renting it for a few minutes.'

Zephyr sits down and thinks deeply.
Zephyr says (in common), 'what be the price you be offering?'.

You say (in common), 'Well..'.
You say (in common), 'It would never leave your possession..'.
You say (in common), ‘I would just ask you to hold it out and let me touch it.'.
You say (in common), 'For that, I would pay five thousand gold.'.

Zephyr raises an eyebrow.

You say (in common), 'which is most of what I have on me at the moment.'.

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I be back'.
Zephyr stands up.
Zephyr leaves west.

You tell Cresom (in common), 'Would you mind coming to Recall? I have need of your protection, brother.'.

Cresom arrives from the west.
Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune on you.

Zephyr arrives from the west.
Zephyr rests.

Cresom tells you (in common), 'from who?'.
Cresom tells you (in common), 'or what?'.

Samiyah glances at Cresom. ‘I am going to do something, perhaps foolish... but..'

Zephyr holds out the shield then pulls it back.

Cresom snickers softly.
Cresom says (in common), 'ok'.

You say (in common), ‘I don't know what it will do. So I want you to watch over me, Cresom, if you would...'.

Zephyr eyes Samiyah up.

Cresom nods.
Cresom says (in common), 'no problem'.

You give Zephyr 5000 gold.

Cresom raises an eyebrow.

Zephyr says (in common), 'you tink about snatching it from em i'll tear your heart out wit da spoon'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), ‘I am not a cheat.'.

Zephyr stops using a small druidwood shield.
Zephyr wears a black shield, dripping blood of angels as a shield.
Zephyr holds out the shield.

You shudder from the sheer thought of it.

Samiyah closes her eyes briefly, her lips moving in a silent prayer.
Samiyah lays her hand upon the bloody surface of the shield.

Cresom looks at Zephyr.

Crimson stains her hand instantly, welling up.

Samiyah shudders as images pour into her mind of the many that the shield has fed upon.

.. the betrayal of Maja...

.. the death of those who would later rise up to the heavens as gods:
.. DarkClaw, Legionaire, Rufus, Lycron...

.. the death of those who only sought pleasure in battle..

.. and those whose death was in deadly earnest in defense of Darkness.

Samiyah spasms, as if in a seizure, as the images of death and bloodshed wash over her.

Samiyah curls up in a ball, screaming in horror.

Samiyah screams loudly!
Samiyah whimpers, 'make it stop!! Seraph, please, make it stop!!'

Zephyr pulls the shield back.

Samiyah collapses to the floor.

Cresom growls.

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I tink she got the chills der boy'.
Zephyr stops using a black shield, dripping blood of angels.
Zephyr wears a small druidwood shield as a shield.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I thought I smelled something'.

Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.

Samiyah shudders as if gripped by a nightmare.

Zephyr tries to wake Samiyah up.

Samiyah screams at the touch, jerking away.

Zephyr says (in common), 'it just be a shield lass nothing more'.
Zephyr raises an eyebrow.

Samiyah screams over and over, 'NO NO NO NO STOP KILLING THEM'

Zephyr steps back confused.

Samiyah lashes out blindly, unseeing, caught up in the visions of death.

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I don't be killing anyone'.
Zephyr backs ups grabbing his mace.

DarkClaw emerges from a thick layer of mist as it dissipates and seeps into the ground, a soft whisper filling the area.

Zephyr nods in recognition to DarkClaw.

Samiyah moans, rocking back and forth upon the floor, curled in a fetal position.

DarkClaw looks to Sami almost frantically, her features filled with alarm. "What is happening?!"

Zephyr says (in common), 'she got da chills'.
Zephyr says (in common), 'she touched ma shield'.
Zephyr stops using a small druidwood shield.
Zephyr wears a black shield, dripping blood of angels as a shield.

DarkClaw says, 'WHAT shield?'.

Zephyr says (in common), 'dis be the one'.

Samiyah moans softly, mumbling incoherently.

Zephyr says (in common), 'now she be speaking of death '.

DarkClaw takes one look at the shield and growls, moving closer to Samiyah, but slowly.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I am here just watching over to make sure nothing horrible happens to her body. '.

DarkClaw says softly, "Sami...it's okay, it's just me."

Zephyr says (in common), 'never in my days have I seen da person act like tat'.

Samiyah goes completely limp and unmoving.

Cresom raises an eyebrow.
Cresom growls.

DarkClaw curses beneath her breath and reaches out, touching a hand to Samiyah's shoulder gently.
DarkClaw growls, "Where the hell IS he?!"

Zephyr says (in common), 'where be who?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Some God, not even here to help her when she needs it.'.
DarkClaw spits, "SERAPH!"

Cresom says (in common), 'The person that is causing all this. '.

Zephyr says (in common), 'da ghost?'.

Samiyah groans, her eyes slowly opening at that name.
Samiyah struggles to sit up, wiping away the blood from her mouth where she has bitten her lip.

Zephyr says (in common), 'you are all foolish'.
Zephyr stops using a black shield, dripping blood of angels.
Zephyr wears a small druidwood shield as a shield.

Samiyah's eyes follow the shield.

Zephyr says (in common), 'it just be a shield da mage make to give people the chills'.
Zephyr says (in common), 'seem it be working'.

DarkClaw ignores Zephyr and puts herself in line of view between Samiyah and the shield. "Sami...are you okay?"

Samiyah's eyes are not yet quite focused as she attempts to look at the Goddess. "no, Sayyida." The words are slurred.

DarkClaw's voice lowers to a more soothing tone, "What happened? And tell me how you feel."

Samiyah stumbles over the words. ‘I saw it. saw it ... all. All of them.'

DarkClaw growls over her shoulder, "And one of you FIND SERAPH!"
DarkClaw turns back to Sami, "What did you see?"

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I no be looking for a ghost'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I will go look! Though he lurks in the shadows and very hard to find.'.
Cresom leaves west.

Samiyah looks greenish, her hand going swiftly to her mouth. She crawls over towards one corner, and vomits.

Zephyr says (in common), ‘I be going to get a drink thanks for da coin lass'.
Zephyr leaves west.

DarkClaw rests her hand on Samiyah's back, trying to comfort her, waiting for her to gain her composure enough to talk.

Samiyah finishes retching, her whole body shuddering, then wipes her mouth on a bit of linen.

Samiyah glances over at DarkClaw with embarrassment, and rearranges her veil to cover her face once more.

DarkClaw says, 'Better now?'.

Samiyah nods slightly, calling a small fireball to burn away the mess.
c fireball

DarkClaw smiles and removes her hand before you get a chance to notice. "Tell me what you saw."

Samiyah staggers over to a bench and sits, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them.

You say (in common), ‘I saw.. I saw more than forty different people die. '.
You say (in common), 'Including You.'.
You say (in common), 'some, over and over again..
You say (in common), ‘I saw gods and strangers'.
You say (in common), ‘I saw lessons and vengeance and betrayal'.
Samiyah hides her face against her knees.

DarkClaw blinks, stunned at the unexpected words, then quietly murmurs, "Shh, it's okay. What you saw had to be a nightmare of some sort."

Samiyah shakes her head slightly, as if the movement causes her pain. 'No, Sayyida. It was memory.'

You say (in common), 'and I woke with the _taste_ of their blood in my mouth.'.

Cresom arrives from the west.

You say (in common), 'the shield drinks it.'.
You say (in common), 'it remembers.'.

Samiyah glances up as Cresom enters, her face gaunt and her eyes haunted. 'Brother.'

Cresom says (in common), 'Alas I have searched where I thought he might be and he must be in the shadows someplace'.
Cresom says (in common), 'Demon Realm closest to hell I can get.'.
Cresom says (in common), 'Midgaard Graveyard'.

DarkClaw flicks a brief glance toward Cresom in acknowledgement, "Thank you, Cresom."

Cresom bows before DarkClaw.
Cresom says (in common), 'Sister are you safe now?'.
Cresom says (in common), 'The shield is gone. '.

Someone steps out of the shadows.
Someone says, 'you forgot to look here'.

Cresom growls.

Someone looks at Samiyah.

Samiyah looks up at the voice, her expression conveying all she has seen, but says nothing.

DarkClaw growls at the voice of Seraph, "You should've been here long before now."

Someone says, ‘I have been here the whole time'.

Cresom says (in common), 'You stay hidden from me. You know you can't intimidate me like you can Samiyah'.

Someone says, ‘I didn't make her touch it that was her choice'.

DarkClaw says, 'No, but you could've eased her suffering.'.

Samiyah nods slightly. 'Sahib speaks true.'

DarkClaw says, 'You choose not to.'.

Samiyah murmurs, 'The first law. Show no weakness.'

Someone says, 'she choose to touch it she has to pay for her actions'.

DarkClaw says, 'Did she KNOW what would happen when she touched it?'.
DarkClaw says, 'If not, then that's crap, Seraph, and you know it.'.

Someone says, 'why is it'.
Someone says, ‘I didn't order her to do it'.
Someone says, 'she CHOSE to'.

DarkClaw says, 'She CHOSE to because she's fascinated by the fact it was YOURS!'.

Samiyah nods slightly. ‘I did. I wanted to learn.'

Belgarion arrives from the west.

Aoide looks at Samiyah with concern.

Cresom nods in recognition to Aoide.

Belgarion says (in common), 'everyone hanging out in recall?'.

Someone says, 'she paid the old man'.

DarkClaw says, 'Your message is poison, Seraph. She deserves better.'.

Samiyah repeats herself. ‘I did want to. I wanted to learn.'

Someone says, 'how so?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'am I interrupting?'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I can leave if you like?'.

Samiyah snaps her head up for the first time, glaring with passion at Belgarion. 'YES. GO AWAY.'

Aoide says (in common), ‘I don't know, Belgarion. I just got her myself. But it looks… tense'.

Someone voice gets deeper: “I DIDN’T ORDER HER TO DO IT.”

Belgarion shrugs.

DarkClaw sighs and looks back to Sami. "What I'm saying Sami...is that Seraph should've told you what might happen if you did."

Samiyah says softly, 'He told me I would learn of who and what he was. I knew it was a risk.'

Samiyah says softly, ‘I have been considering the risks for days, since I learned about the shield.'

Someone says, 'see, Darkclaw?'.

Aoide leaves west.

You say (in common), 'No one made me do anything. I chose. It hurt. I saw more than I could have imagined... and it was horrible..'.
You say (in common), 'but it was my choice.'.

Tears well up, unheeded in her eyes, but she makes no effort to wipe them away.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I hate even being in the same room as Seraph.'.

DarkClaw hesitates and shakes her head slowly, backing away, then abruptly snarls and disappears.

Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune on you.

DarkClaw grins and bares her fangs. Tendrils of fog rise from the ground, twisting their way up and around her form to shroud it from view.

Cresom says (in common), 'if you get in danger call me I will be right here'.

You say (in common), 'thank you, Brother.'.

Cresom bows deeply.
Cresom leaves west.

Someone walks over wrapping one wing around you.

Samiyah closes her eyes and sways slightly, as if near exhaustion.

You say (in common), 'so many, Sahib.'.

Someone speaks softly: did you seek what you was looking for.

Samiyah's expression is almost lost and despairing. 'Yes, Seraph.'

Samiyah glances up, eyes searching for an approximation of your face, based on the touch of your wing.

Someone speaks in a soft voice: I did what I had to do. What I was created to do then.

Samiyah says, her tone haunted, ‘I had no idea there were so ... so many...'

Someone lifts you to your feet gently.

Samiyah sways on her feet, but leans into your grip for stability.

Someone says, 'Yes. I killed for hate. I killed for vengeance. But it all was for my lord and Dark'.

Samiyah says, barely above a whisper, 'But you liked it so very much..'
You say (in common), ‘I could feel Your thrill each time they fell...'.
You say (in common), 'The rush that coursed through Your veins...'.
You say (in common), 'The power and the excitement and the pride..'.
You say (in common), 'from ... death.'.

Someone nods slowly.

Samiyah looks heartbroken, and with her little fists, strikes you with both hands on your armored chest. "WHY!! WHY DID YOU LIKE IT!"

Someone looks down at you his wings fold around you embracing you.
Someone whispers: it was what I was created to do. Their deaths kept me alive.

Samiyah hits you a few more times, halfheartedly, then leans in, tears running freely down her face, staining her veil.

Samiyah rests her head against her clenched fists where they rest against your chest. "I cannot...I was not.. I was not made that way, Sahib."

Someone says, 'you are whatever you choose to be'.

You say (in common), 'you said ... you said that it was how you were made. So you did not have a choice, then?'.

Someone says, 'my life or theirs '.

You say (in common), 'no, to be that person or not.'.
You say (in common), 'to be the avenging angel of darkness'.
You say (in common), 'to dispense justice before the crime occurred'.
You say (in common), 'to kill for the pleasure of it, and the pride of it.'.

Someone says, 'if I didn't I would have died'.
Someone says, 'so it was my life or theirs'.
Someone says, 'do you understand?'.

Samiyah nods silently.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'so that's why I took pride and pleasure in it'.
Someone says, ‘I knew I was living longer and protecting my people'.

You say (in common), 'you thought you were doing .. good?'.

Your wizard mark fades.

Someone says, ‘I was protecting my people like every Ordain'.

You tell Cresom (in common), 'Your mark faded, brother.'.

Cresom arrives from the west.
Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune on you.
Cresom hugs you.
Cresom leaves west.

Samiyah nods mutely in acknowledgement and understanding, swaying slightly on her feet.

Someone says, 'there are other pieces out there of mine'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'a Nashite priest has your weapon...'.
You say (in common), 'and a Hunter has your helm.'.

Someone says, 'the same thing will happen '.

You say (in common), 'the same vision? or a different one?'.

Someone says, 'the helm you will see what I saw and the weapon...'.
Someone says, ‘I don't know what will happen'.

You say (in common), 'Is it Your wish that I seek them out?'.

Someone says, 'you do what you want to do'.
Someone says, 'your choice'.

Samiyah says faintly, ‘I am not asking for a command, Sa... Seraph... I am asking you your preference...'

Someone says, 'do you want to know more?'.
Someone says, 'or have you had enough?'.

You say (in common), 'Sometimes I think you are an onion.'.
You say (in common), ‘I think I finally understand, and yet, there is another layer underneath.'.
You say (in common), 'and another under that.'.

Someone laughs.

You say (in common), ‘I am.. simple.'.
You say (in common), ‘I am not complicated.'.
You say (in common), 'You... are very complicated.'.

Someone walks towards the shadows.
Someone says, 'it's simple, Samiyah'.

Samiyah staggers as you remove the support of your wings.

Someone says, 'if you want to know more, then seek it out. If you had enough, then don't'.

Samiyah flinches at the harshness of your tone and words.

Someone whispers as he steps in the shadows: your choice.

Samiyah rubs her aching eyes and sits down abruptly on one of the stone benches.

A Brief Chat With Cresom

You tell Cresom (in common), '*softly* He is gone, brother.'.

Cresom tells you (in common), 'good you know I don't like him'.
Cresom arrives from the west.

Cresom tells you (in common), ‘I don't like what Belgarion did and we will sort that out with blades at some point '.
Cresom tells you (in common), 'but it is because of him'.

You tell Cresom (in common), 'It is not Seraph's fault that Belgarion attacked me. That was Belgarion's feelings of impotence because he felt he could not protect his lady'.
You tell Cresom (in common), 'so since he could not be angry and helpless with her - because she forbade him to act - he lashed out at me.'.
You tell Cresom (in common), 'you cannot blame the Sahib for it.'.

Cresom tells you (in common), 'none of this would have happened without Seraph none of it '.

Samiyah starts to speak, but falls silent with just a shrug for an answer.

Cresom nods.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I protect those I hold dear with everything I have'.
Cresom says (in common), 'this is the first time I can't just go kill it '.
Cresom says (in common), 'If I was able to kill Seraph I would and we wouldn't have to worry about it '.
Cresom says (in common), 'Hell I would kill Seraph and Belgarion in the same day. '.
Cresom says (in common), 'and we could go look for lyricals and scores'.
Cresom says (in common), 'this is one of those times I feel helpless'.
Cresom says (in common), 'other than being by your side'.

Tears well up in her eyes again at all this talk of killing.
You say (in common), 'Please, brother... I saw a hundred deaths flash in front of my eyes earlier'.

Cresom nods.

You say (in common), 'please let there be no more talk of killing.'.
You shudder from the sheer thought of it.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I have killed people you know that right?'.

Samiyah blinks slowly.
You say (in common), 'You have?'.

### [Belgarion says (in common), ‘I wonder if Cresom is planning on killing me']

Cresom says (in common), ‘I am number one on the killing rankings in this land'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I have killed many people '.

Samiyah asks gravely, 'Why did you do it?'
You say (in common), 'help me understand.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'sometimes there is a greater good to be done'.
Cresom says (in common), 'Belgarion is a dear friend of mine'.
Cresom says (in common), 'but if he has to die he will'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I must depart sorry'.

Cresom sleeps.

The First Interview - Belgarion

You tell DarkClaw (in common), '*formally* Sayyida, may I speak with You and Your Ordained?'.

DarkClaw tells you, 'One moment, need to get two people out of my temple.'.

DarkClaw tells you, 'You may now, yes.'.

Temple of the Lost
[Exits: west]
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Dark Purple Aura) Belgarion is resting here.
(Intense Dark Purple Aura) DarkClaw is here.

Belgarion grins evilly.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), 'Sayyida.'.
You say (in common), 'Thank You for this audience.'.
You say (in common), ‘I need.. to understand.'.
You say (in common), 'What is the role of an Ordained?'.

DarkClaw raises a brow, irritation apparent on her features. "Why is it you ask me and not your Sahib?"

You say (in common), 'Because while duty does not permit me to be your friend, Sayyida, I trust that you would speak the truth.'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

You say (in common), 'And I want another perspective... not his.'.
You say (in common), ‘I know His thoughts already.'.

DarkClaw flicks her gaze to Belgarion meaningfully, exchanging a look with him, then looks back to Samiyah.

Belgarion nods in recognition to DarkClaw.

DarkClaw says, 'Belgarion, to me...is what I look for in an ordained.'.
DarkClaw says, 'He is true to his cause, overly helpful at times...'.
DarkClaw chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah bites back any comment and listens, clasping her hands in front of her.

Belgarion grins evilly.

DarkClaw says, 'Very resourceful'.
DarkClaw says, 'Determined'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'may I interject something here?'.

DarkClaw says, 'He has tact AND he knows what I want from the following.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Of course.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'these things are true yes'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'that helps'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but I believe an Ordained's job and purpose is to protect the rest of the following'.

Samiyah says questioning, 'Battle, specifically?'
Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Belgarion says (in common), 'with anything'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'if it requires battle then yes'.

DarkClaw says, 'Even politically.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if it requires talking then that also'.

You say (in common), 'Do you seek out those who have harmed your brothers, and slay them?'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I would'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'generally things haven't been that way lately'.

You say (in common), 'What of those who help others to harm the Lost?'.

DarkClaw says, 'And there are always other ways to harm them than slaying.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'very true'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and I have done that also'.

You say (in common), 'Who.. who cast spells to help in battle, or give equipment.. How do you handle those individuals?'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I am not sure what you mean by that Samiyah'.

DarkClaw says, 'It is impossible to catch every wrong doing and repay the favor, so to speak.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Why is it that you ask, Sami?'.

You say (in common), ‘I need to understand.'.
You say (in common), 'How does it feel when you kill to protect your people?'.
You say (in common), 'what do you feel?'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I don't feel anything'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'they deserved what happened'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and if they loot who they kill then I will loot the same from them'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'no more no less'.

You say (in common), 'so.. no pride, no duty, no enjoyment. Simply, nothing.'.

DarkClaw raises a brow at Samiyah's words. "I believe I know what she is getting at."
DarkClaw says, 'Or, rather, why she needs to understand.'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I am doing as I feel I should'.

You say (in common), 'so.. a sense of rightness?'.

Belgarion throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I know I am right in what I do'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I have no need to feel it'.
Belgarion says (in common), ‘I do feel one thing during'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'excited'.

Samiyah looks alarmed. 'In what .. er.. sense?'

Belgarion says (in common), 'it’s exhilarating to be in the midst of battle'.

Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.

Belgarion says (in common), 'to know you're going to kill someone or even possibly be killed'.

DarkClaw says, 'That's simply the warrior in him speaking.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'this could be true'.

Samiyah mutters, "for a moment, I thought you meant something else."

Belgarion throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!
Belgarion says (in common), 'no not THAT excited'.

DarkClaw grins evilly.

You cough.
Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.

Belgarion grins evilly.
Belgarion relaxes leaning on DarkClaws knee.

Samiyah averts her gaze.

Belgarion says (in common), 'no need to do that Samiyah'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'just getting comfy'.

Samiyah says, her eyes pointedly directed at the floor, 'What does your Ordained name mean?'

Belgarion says (in common), 'Tempest of the Lost'.

Samiyah nods slightly, then bows. ‘I thank you, Sayyida, and you,' she stumbles over the unfamiliar words, 'Anfa an Caillte, for your time.'

DarkClaw says, 'There is one more trait to have in a good ordained, Sami.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Belgarion is also very good at stepping in with suggestions on how I can better things...taking the initiative, even without his Goddess, too.'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

(Sami leaves the temple and goes to the Guild.)

You gossip (in common), ‘I am seeing speech with any Immortal who would be willing to discuss their personal views about Ordainment with me, that I may learn of this thing.'.

You gossip (in common), ‘I also seek speech with any who have served as an Ordained.'.

Belgarion arrives from the east.
Belgarion says (in common), 'may I speak with you again'.

You say (in common), 'if you wish.'.

Belgarion says (in common), ‘I think there’s something that we forgot to mention'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'the role of an Ordained would depend on each individual or that individuals God/Goddess'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'see I have seen Ordained that do nothing at all'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but level and continue on'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'look at Hunt'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'they have 40 Ordained'.
Belgarion shrugs.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it’s just something to think about'.
Belgarion bows before you.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Thank you.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you’re welcome'.
Belgarion leaves east.

The Second Interview - Cresom

Cresom arrives from below.
Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune on you.
Cresom hugs you.

You smile happily.
Samiyah smiles tiredly.
You say (in common), 'Hello, Brother.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'well I guess I am off to mage mob a while'.

You say (in common), 'be safe!'.
You say (in common), 'and careful!'.

Cresom says (in common), 'or exp zarathos'.

You say (in common), 'before you go'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I might have to kill Belgarion if he comes around though'.

You say (in common), 'we were talking about ordainment'.
Cresom raises an eyebrow.

You say (in common), 'and .. killing people...'.

Cresom says (in common), 'what about it'.

You say (in common), 'Do you attack only those who have harmed your fellow Wisdom?'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I attack those that I think need to be '.
Cresom says (in common), 'so yeah I would attack someone that hasn't hit a wisdom'.
Cresom says (in common), 'but hurt those close to me '.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I would kill someone that is what I think is a dirty players'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I mean in Hutt’s rules of course'.

You say (in common), 'what about those who actively helped those trying to harm your friends and Wisdom?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'well depends'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I have a few people that I will not harm'.
Cresom says (in common), 'and they will not harm me '.

Cresom says (in common), 'with the exception '.
Cresom says (in common), 'if I am in the room when they harm a wisdom'.
Cresom says (in common), 'ink is one of those people '.

Cresom says (in common), 'he won't kill me and I won't kill him'.

You say (in common), 'does he attack Wisdom?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'well he doesn't attack anyone since mastery quest'.
Cresom says (in common), 'but I am sure once it is done he will'.

You say (in common), 'yes, but that will end soon'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I have formal agreements with 3 people '.

Cresom says (in common), 'Belgarion, Ink and Sagan'.

You say (in common), 'and you are still friends with him, though he harms your fellows?'.

Cresom nods.

You say (in common), 'Then you should not harm Belgarion on my account, brother.'.
You say (in common), 'if you have sworn it.'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I don't know if it is friendship or respect '.

Cresom says (in common), 'well maybe not but there might be a time and he will have warning that it has ended'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I would never go dirty about it '.
Cresom says (in common), 'he will know '.

Samiyah smiles at you warmly. 'Of course not. That is not your way.'

You say (in common), ‘I have been reading about people of old.'.
You say (in common), 'And you remind me of one of them.'.
You say (in common), 'Gaul.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'someone of great respect '.
Cresom bows deeply.

You say (in common), 'You have the heart of a Paladin.'.
You say (in common), 'Not just an Ordained.'.

Samiyah asks very quietly, 'Brother.. how does it feel - what emotions do you feel - when you kill someone?'

Cresom says (in common), 'depends on who it is '.
Cresom says (in common), 'at times great '.

You say (in common), 'a bad person who has harmed your brothers.'.
You say (in common), 'pride?'.
You say (in common), 'Relief?'.
You say (in common), 'Joy?'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I love it when they need to die'.
Cresom says (in common), 'at times I have killed someone because they didn't know what they were doing '.

Cresom says (in common), 'and that hurts some '.

Cresom says (in common), 'but then you help them know why they shouldn't have done what they have done'.

You say (in common), 'so times you did not mean to hurt them?'.
You say (in common), 'but they fell anyway?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'oh no'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I mean to hurt them'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I have never picked a flower that shouldn't have been picked'.

Samiyah blinks at your expression.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I never harm someone that doesn't need to be '.

Samiyah nods thoughtfully.

Cresom says (in common), 'sometimes people are bad seeds and they need to go away '.

You say (in common), 'You expressed your responsibilities and why you attack ... well... the same that Seraph did.'.

You say (in common), 'And so did Belgarion.'.

You say (in common), 'is it an Ordainment thing, I wonder? Or is it a man of the blade thing?'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I am different than those though'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I have never harmed someone that was pure '.
Cresom says (in common), 'both have'.

You say (in common), 'Howso?'.

You say (in common), 'Who did Seraph hurt that was pure, and who did Belgarion hurt?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'YOU'.

Samiyah says softly, 'Belgarion does not think I am pure.'

Cresom says (in common), 'well that is because of Seraph'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he is behind it all'.

Cresom says (in common), 'Killing is about making a point '.

Samiyah nods, listening.
You say (in common), 'a lesson?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'so it hurts me when you let someone into your circle '.
Cresom says (in common), 'that is in it just for fun and games for him'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he have taught you nothing '.

You say (in common), 'Brother, I do not think that is true.'.
You say (in common), ‘I have talked to him for dozens and dozens of hours.'.

Cresom nods.
Cresom says (in common), 'and how many of those were you scared?'.
Cresom says (in common), 'and turned you away from people that you once loved '.

Samiyah admits, 'Sometimes, I was scared.'
You say (in common), ‘I have not turned away from those I cared about, save the Sayyida.'.

You say (in common), 'And I cannot be her friend, because... well... many reasons, but one of which is that she did not stop or punish Belgarion'.
You say (in common), 'for what he did... She did apologize, but he has not - and she cannot gain forgiveness for his deeds.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'because of the evil behind what happened'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I must depart a second'.

You say (in common), 'Cresom... they have an evil aura.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'not as red'.
Cresom shakes his head.

Cresom leaves east.

(Combat with Teva snipped)

Cresom says (in common), 'sorry'.

You say (in common), 'that's okay'.

You say (in common), 'so you feel that DarkClaw and Belgarion are not evil, but that Seraph is?'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I feel they are better than the worst '.
Cresom says (in common), 'and Seraph is the worst '.

Belgarion arrives from the east.

Cresom growls.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Belgarion grins evilly.
Belgarion leaves down.

You say (in common), 'So.. '.
Samiyah stops and thinks.

You say (in common), 'So Seraph is more evil because he has frightened me more than Belgarion has?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'Seraph is more evil because he frightens people that he can'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he doesn't come to me '.
Cresom says (in common), 'he comes to you'.

You say (in common), 'He doesn't try to frighten me much anymore, Cresom. He tries to teach me not to be afraid. To be strong.'.

(Lap dance by Teva performed for Cresom snipped)

You say (in common), 'Brother - truly -- He is trying to teach me to make my own decisions and to be strong.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'well he goes at it different then I would '.
Cresom says (in common), 'and I don't like it '.

You say (in common), ‘I welcome your lessons, too.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'he is as close to the devil as I know '.
Cresom says (in common), 'that is why I went to demon realm to look for him'.
Cresom says (in common), 'that is as close to hell as I can go'.

You say (in common), 'Cresom - he could have stolen my soul a dozen times.'.

You say (in common), 'He could have taken it, and I could not have stopped him.'.
You say (in common), 'But he has not.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'yeah it is all a game'.

You say (in common), 'He could have forced me to obey him at any time.'.

You say (in common), 'but he has not. Time and time again, he demands that I make my own choices.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'again a game to him'.

You say (in common), 'and accept those consequences of acting or not acting, as I have chosen.'.

You say (in common), 'What could he do to convince you otherwise?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'not cause you any pain for a long, long, long while '.
Cresom says (in common), 'but every time I see you '.
Cresom says (in common), 'you are scared or are in pain because of something he is involved in'.

You say (in common), 'Do you think that caterpillars are scared sometimes?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'not sure how to answer that never thought about it '.

You say (in common), 'They have to lose all of themselves, to become a butterfly.'.

You say (in common), ‘I have had to understand who I am, how I was shaped that way, what influences I have had..'.

You say (in common), 'Everything about myself..'.
You say (in common), 'And am only just now learning to see all of it'.
You say (in common), 'Do you remember when we first met?'.
You say (in common), ‘I could not even hug you?'.

Cresom nods.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I remember '.

You say (in common), '- though, you are still the only person that I allow to touch me... I can, because you are my brother.'.

You say (in common), ‘I could not so much as speak to men.'.
You say (in common), ‘I was frightened all the time'.
You say (in common), 'Now... Only sometimes.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'seraph though doesn't hold the key '.
Cresom says (in common), 'He wants you to think he does'.

You say (in common), 'No, but some of his lessons have been very important ones.'.

You say (in common), 'Seraph wants me to know who he is - not the stories that the priests told me, growing up, of the Shepherd, the Teacher and the Defender'.

Cresom says (in common), 'not saying he isn't a smart thing'.

You say (in common), 'but the man who became a god -- all the good and the bad of it.'.

You say (in common), 'Do you think I liked seeing through his eyes, as he killed all those people?'.

You say (in common), 'it was HORRIBLE'.

You say (in common), 'and yes, I was afraid because I do not understand the joy of killing.'.

You say (in common), ‘I find joy in music and butterflies.'.
You say (in common), 'Not weapons and violence and combat.'.
You say (in common), ‘I do not think that Seraph is a saint.'.
You say (in common), ‘I do not have any illusions about what he can do and what he has done.'.
You say (in common), 'But in speaking with you, and Belgarion and Reacher tonight...'.
You say (in common), ‘I understand somewhat better about why.'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I tried to kill Reacher the other night '.
Cresom says (in common), 'and would have '.

You say (in common), 'has he harmed you or Wisdom?'.

Cresom says (in common), 'yes'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he kill Bolaon right then'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he was standing over the corpse'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

You say (in common), 'oh no'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I had just woken up'.
Cresom says (in common), 'ran to the room'.
Cresom says (in common), 'but the gods didn't think I was ready for battle '.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Cresom says (in common), 'you don't know how many times I had tried to kill reacher'.
Cresom says (in common), 'and I like Reacher'.

Cresom says (in common), ‘I couldn't pick up a fellow followers corpse'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I felt horrible '.

Samiyah makes a sound of comfort and lays one hand on your arm.

Cresom says (in common), 'Reacher knows though'.
Cresom says (in common), ‘I don't want to kill him'.
Cresom says (in common), 'but will if the gods would have let me '.
Cresom says (in common), 'he would be dead'.

Hunger:

The Lower Hall
[Exits: north up]
This hallway must have been built by giants! It is huge! Then
again, there are more than a few giants that belong to The Guild, so
it may just be so. A stairway leads up to another hallway above.
(Token magic) A magical spring flows from the ground here.
A copy of the TFC Daily News lies here.
A delicious magic mushroom is here.
(White Aura) The newsboy stands here selling newspapers.
(Dark Purple Aura) Angriff is resting here.
(Dark Purple Aura) Ghazkull is here.
Mish Leigh Salvandor will use her contacts to help you... for a price.

You say (in common), 'Hello, Ghazkull'.

Ghazkull smiles happily.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'Hello, Samiyah'.

Samiyah asks delicately, 'Have you found any resolution to your .. erm.. situation?'
Samiyah looks at Ghazkull.

Ghazkull sits down and thinks deeply.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'not a resolution, but a way... forward'.

You smile happily.
You say (in common), 'I am glad to hear it.'.
You say (in common), 'Did your fellows in the lost help you?'.

Samiyah gestures at Angriff.

Ghazkull smiles sadly, 'unfortunately there are few that can help me.

Angriff says (in common), 'huh'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'I am sorry to hear that.'.
You say (in common), 'Who CAN help you?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'there are 2 that still visit the realm that I am aware of'.

You say (in common), 'Who might they be, Ghazkull?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'DarkClaw is one.'.

You say (in common), 'Who is the other?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'the other is, I believe your Sayidda.'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I apologize if I got the terminology incorrect'.

You say (in common), 'Sayyida is a title.. given to women of honor.'.
You say (in common), 'All female immortals are Sayyida..'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'ah'.

You say (in common), 'Sahib is a male term of honor.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I do not know much of the desert ways'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'please forgive me'.

You say (in common), 'Do you mean The Sahib...'.

Ghazkull nods.

Samiyah says his name with respect, 'Seraph'?

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'indeed, although I would never seek his aid.'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I mention him only as you asked'.

You say (in common), 'Why would He know of your illness?'.
You say (in common), 'Perhaps I could ask for help on your behalf!'.

Ghazkull shakes his head.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'this is something I feel I must be guided in by DarkClaw, and DarkClaw alone'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'although I thank you for your concern.'.

You say (in common), 'Are you.. as she is ?'.
You say (in common), 'A vampire?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'not complete'.

You say (in common), 'Until you drink someone's blood?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'when DarkClaw rescued me from Leareth's tower, I was near death.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'she refused to let me die, and... gave me some of her blood to keep me going.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'I had heard that much, and that it was not complete..'.

Ghazkull nods.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I need to feed in order to 'complete' the change.'.

You say (in common), '.. do you wish to?'.

Ghazkull shakes his head.

You say (in common), 'you do not wish to be a vampire?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I...'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'do not know'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I have felt my strength growing, my skills are progressing at a remarkable rate'.

You say (in common), 'I have seen what happens to one who needs to feed, who does not.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'compared to how they were before the tower.'.

You say (in common), 'It is a frightening thing, and the weakness can happen very quickly.'.
You say (in common), 'Is there any going back?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I do not know.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I do not think so.'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I have certainly never heard of any such thing'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'Then there is only going forward, if one cannot go back..?'

Ghazkull nods.

You say (in common), 'So. How do we help you go forward?'.

Ghazkull says simply, 'I must feed'

You say (in common), 'Do you have a goblet?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I don't. although I believe DarkClaw wished to talk with me before I did anything.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'Very well, then.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I have no idea what to expect, and she would be near me.'.

You say (in common), 'If you were hungry and a human, I would offer you bread.'.
You say (in common), 'As you are not..'.
You say (in common), 'I was going to offer what I might..'.
Samiyah turns over her wrist.

Ghazkull gasps in astonishment.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I am honoured that you would wish to aid me in this... task'.

You say (in common), 'Ink is a fish and he eats bugs. Aoide is a human, she eats bread. Seraph is a Fallen Angel, and he eats souls.'.

You say (in common), 'Sustenance takes many forms, and it seems, to me, silly to be upset about that.'.

Ghazkull smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'I am one who would not see anyone go hungry to the point of death.'.
You say (in common), 'So.'.
You say (in common), 'Should the time come that you need someone to help you.'.
You say (in common), 'Let me know. I am willing.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I shall be fine for the time being, I am able to take small sustenance from steaks I make from my vanquished foes'.

You say (in common), 'Though I am not sure if the Sayyida and her loved one would find me appropriate.'.
You shrug.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'the Lost have more pressing issues to be dealing with than the turning of one of their number.'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'There is no more pressing matter than the well being of one of the tribe. ..Ever.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I still have full use of my faculties, one of our number currently does not'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'the Sayyida I feel would have no issue, though I do not speak for her'.

Samiyah's face remains calm but her voice is touched with a distinct chill. 'That one of the Lost can remind blind for all his days, for all I care.'

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I understand your feelings'.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'but I can and must help him'.

You say (in common), 'I honor your determination. In that task, however, the Lost will have no help from me.'.

Ghazkull nods.
Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I respect that decision. I already possess that which we require'.

Samiyah says under her breath, 'More's the pity.'

Ghazkull frowns at what you did.

Samiyah regards you calmly.
You say (in common), 'I wish him ill, for what he has done.'.
You say (in common), 'I will not apologize for that/.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'I have not asked you to.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'Enough of such dark thoughts.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'agreed'.

You say (in common), 'How can we help you to grow stronger, in the mean time?'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'today I am having a 'lazy' day'.
Ghazkull snickers at his own evil thoughts.

You say (in common), 'very well.'.

Ghazkull says (in elven), 'but thank you once again for the offer.'.
Ghazkull bows before you.

Samiyah nods. 'Perhaps another time.'
You say (in common), 'if you have need of help, just let me know.'.

You wave.

Unseen

Beside a Small Pond
[Exits: east south west]
A spindly, unstable-looking drying rack has been built from sticks and grass.
A small earthenware jug brimming with water stands here.

Someone steps out if the shadows.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), 'Sahib..'.

Someone says, 'hello, Samiyah'.

You rest.

You say (in common), 'I have learned where your weapon is now.'.

Someone says, 'oh'.

You say (in common), 'It was given by Hedschott to Wish... who gifted it to Teva.'.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'How fare You today?'.

Someone says, 'ok'.

Someone says, 'seems to be plenty of angry people now cause of teva and angriff'.

You say (in common), 'Well, others were attempting to make an offered purchase..'.

Someone says, 'people feel they do not deserve it'.

You say (in common), 'and the bargains were broken.'.
You say (in common), 'Which make people unhappy.'.

Someone says, 'would you expect anything less from them'.

Samiyah looks down at her clasped hands. "I was not very happy when Hedschott broke off our negotiations."

You say (in common), 'I had hoped to regain it for You.'.
You say (in common), 'But it isn't like I can take it by force.'.
You chuckle.

Someone says, 'maybe it is better off not in your hands'.

You say (in common), 'Why is that, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'Did You not tell me that it would have much to teach me?'.

Someone says, 'it would teach you yes'.

You say (in common), 'I am confused, Sahib. You said you wished me to learn, and that it would teach, but that perhaps that is not for the best?'.

Someone says, 'what the shield did to you was minor'.

You say (in common), 'Are there things I should not know about You?'.

Samiyah goes pale.
Samiyah stammers, 'It.. was?'

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'if you seek the helm and weapon hmmmm'.
Someone sits down and thinks deeply.
Someone says, 'the helm will let you see. what I saw'.

You say (in common), 'Were there good things to see? Or is it all just...death?'.
Someone says, 'and give you a taste of what I felt'.
Someone says, 'maybe the helm'.

Her voice sounds hopeful that there might be some light within that darkness, some good moments.

Someone says, 'the Similus will only bring ........'.

You say (in common), 'I learned today that Similus had a sister.'.
You say (in common), 'Seretas.'.

Someone says, 'oh'.

You say (in common), 'Did you ever wield Seretas?'.

Someone shakes his head.

You say (in common), 'Forgive me for interrupting, Sahib. Similus will bring.. what, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'the Similus.. brought death and that's all you will feel'.

Samiyah frowns, biting on her lower lip indecisively.
You say (in common), 'I understand, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'I did speak with some other Ordaineds.'.

Someone says, 'and'.

You say (in common), 'And they agreed - that the duties of an Ordained are often bloody and violent, in defense of their people... expectedly so.'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah says quietly, 'I did not realize that my brother, Cresom, had killed so many.'

Someone says, 'so you understand?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'I could never be an Ordained... it .. I... no.'.

Someone says, 'people do what they was created to do'.

You sigh.
Samiyah stares down at her dusty boots.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'you was created for knowledge of the realm and to sing about it'.

Samiyah says quietly, almost a little bitterly, 'Yes, and that's oh, so very important..'

Someone says, 'to get people to notice'.
Someone says, 'it is'.

You say (in common), 'Songs don't save anyone. They don't do important deeds.'.

Someone says, 'have you not brought me back?'.

You say (in common), '..Have I, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'Is it my doing?'.

Someone says, 'am I here?'.

Samiyah says wryly, 'Your voice is..'
Samiyah glances pointedly around the pond area.

Someone says, 'I was asleep with the other gods and I heard you calling'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'I do not understand... I did not know You before you first approached me..'.

Someone says, 'so I came. and now cause of you everyone knows me'.
Someone says, 'you have always known me'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'it bothers you I don't show myself'.

Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'why'.

Samiyah starts to speak, then closes her mouth, and thinks more carefully.
You say (in common), 'Because it made me feel special. That of all mortals, only I could see you.'.

Someone says, 'ahhh'.

You say (in common), 'And because I like to know where You stand, so that I may look at You when You speak.'.
You say (in common), 'It is rude not to look at someone when they are talking.'.
You say (in common), 'and I do not like to be rude.'.
You say (in common), '..and because ...'.
Samiyah's voice goes very quiet, 'I hope that one day your weapon and shield will not be bleeding.'

Someone bends over looking at you.
Someone says, 'I cannot see you'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'I don't understand, Sahib. Are You blind once more?'.

Someone shakes his head.
Someone says, 'I can see fine'.

You say (in common), 'I stand before You, Sahib.. Your eyes are not injured... How is it that You do not see me?'.

Someone says, 'you mask yourself as well'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'I veil, as is the tradition...'.

Someone says, 'oh'.

You say (in common), '"That which is revealed, is reviled"'.
You say (in common), 'Is that not Your will for the tribes?'.

Someone says, 'has others seen you remove it?'.

You say (in common), 'Only another woman, Sahib.. I have never removed it before a man.'.
You say (in common), 'Not while I was conscious. '.

Someone says, 'your dear brother has not?'.

You say (in common), 'I have had people threaten to steal it...'.

You say (in common), '(now you're gonna make me check logs - I don't _think_ so)'.
Someone says, '(lol)'.

You say (in common), 'Belgarion saw my face, when he walked in without permission, as I spoke with DarkClaw, long ago, but I turned away quickly.'.

Someone nods.

You say (in common), 'But no, no man has seen my face unveiled, of my own will.'.
You say (in common), 'I have followed the Laws.'.

Someone says, 'so I am just a man'.

You blink.

Samiyah stammers, 'Uhm..You, er, Sahib... are.. uh...'
Samiyah opens her mouth to speak, then closes it once more.
You say (in common), 'You are the Three-Who-Are-One. '.

Someone says, 'but I am just a man'.

You say (in common), 'Are You not also male, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'Does one lose one's.. um... distinctions... when one becomes Immortal?'.
You say (in common), 'Or are you saying that the law simply does not apply?'.

Someone says, 'I am a man'.
Someone says, 'but am I like the common man you come across'.
Someone says, 'am I like your brother'.

Samiyah murmurs, 'You are confusing me, Sahib. I do not know Your will or wishes and it makes me feel frightened.'

You say (in common), 'No, Sahib, You are not common or mundane or mortal.'.

You say (in common), 'Tradition says that the veil is even MORE required when addressing the Holy.'.
You say (in common), 'I have always sought to respect and honor that...'.

Someone says, 'my wish is for you to make your own choices'.

You say (in common), '...I wonder if this is what Sahib Wish meant..'.
Samiyah bites her lip, frowning and thinking.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Wish said that the word the Elders said meant 'wrong and forbidden ' - Halal - means the opposite.. 'Allowed and permitted..
You say (in common), 'That the term is 'Haraam.
You say (in common), 'And that if the Elders had told us of things that were permitted, as wrong, that perhaps we had been deceived.'.
You say (in common), 'Will You not instruct me, Sahib, as to which is the truth?'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'the next time we meet'.

Samiyah sinks to her knees, lowering her head to the ground in a deep gesture of humility and respect.

Someone steps into the shadows.

Samiyah rises as You depart, smoothing her veil nervously.

testimony to his reign during his mortal presence. Eager to examine the
intricate items surrounding him, you draw nearer and notice that his chest
is moving. It is moving very slowly and evenly as if he were in an extremely
deep sleep. Can it be he is still alive after ages gone past? Do you dare to
approach further? Is he aware of your presence?

The Hound's Tale

> l sagan

Sagan says (in common), 'What can I do for you?'.
Sagan smiles happily.

Samiyah looks at you, biting her lower lip, and indicates your helm.

You say (in common), 'That which you wear.'.
You say (in common), 'You have told me a little of it..'.

Sagan stops using A black fullface helm with no eye slits.
Sagan nods.

You say (in common), 'It.. um.. '.

Sagan says (in common), 'Would you like to see it?'.

You say (in common), 'It is an artifact...'.
Samiyah stammers, 'No! er, yes, but no... but...'

You shiver, Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'Yes. But I do not think I am ready yet.'.

Sagan gives you A black fullface helm with no eye slits.

You scream. ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Samiyah's eyes go wide above her veil in shock and she falls to the ground in a pile of dark linen.

Reacher arrives from the west.

Sagan winces. Ouch!
Sagan checks on Samiyah.
Sagan looks at you.
Sagan utters the words, 'judicandus qfuhuqar'.
You feel better!

Reacher makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Reacher draws a funny looking rune on a nasty razor edged dagger.

Samiyah begins to have a seizure.

Soloman utters the words, 'qhiat ay sfainfrauai'.
You are surrounded by a magical cloak.

Sagan grabs the helm from Samiyah's shaking hands.

Samiyah lays crumpled on the floor, shuddering.

Sagan wears A black fullface helm with no eye slits on his head.

Samiyah screams as the helm is removed, and she wakes, eyes open and staring and horrified.

Sagan says (in common), 'Sorry about that. I didn't know it would have that affect.'.
Sagan blushes.
Sagan says (in common), 'What... what happened?'.

Samiyah stares at you in horror, tears pouring down her face.
Samiyah stares down at her hands, rubbing them as if they are filthy with blood.

Sagan pokes someone in the ribs.

Someone giggles Wyldly.

Samiyah stares back at Sagan, wordless in shock and horror.

Katrana has granted you the ability to see her when she is invis.

Sagan sighs loudly.
Sagan nods.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana says, 'Hello bardling of the Sands.'.

Samiyah leans against the wall, curled back against it defensively.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.
Katrana glances to her Hound.

Sagan says (in common), 'So the helm intrigues you but... you cannot bear to touch it?'.
Sagan responds to Katrana with a shrug.

You say (in common), 'it.. I...'.

Sagan says (in common), 'I didn't know!'.

Katrana nods slowly.

Samiyah bursts into silent tears.
Samiyah whispers, 'It saw ... everything.'
Samiyah wraps her arms around herself, as if to barrier away the cold that is within her.

Katrana says, 'The helm?'.

Sagan says (in common), 'What was there to see?'.

Sagan glances curiously at Samiyah.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'It was made for Him.'.
You say (in common), 'For the Sahib..'.
You say (in common), 'It let Him see.. with no eyes.'.
You say (in common), 'It WAS his eyes.'.
Samiyah stumbles over the words.

Katrana growls.
Katrana says, 'That one...'.

Samiyah holds her hand over her mouth, as if to keep from being sick.

Sagan says (in common), 'It has chosen a new master, then. '.
Sagan says (in common), 'It does have many memories, I will grant you that.'.

Samiyah shudders in horror. "It remembers every death - sees them - as His shield tasted each of them."

You say (in common), 'But He said it was the duty.. his duty... as Ordained..."'.
You say (in common), 'And Cresom said it was true..'.
Samiyah babbles.

Sagan shakes his head.
Sagan says (in common), 'What duty?'.

Katrana says, 'Sami...I remember every Thread my Hunt casts down to grant a Rebirth...those should be embraced.'.

Sagan says (in common), 'It IS the duty of the Ordained to defend the following from any threats. '.

Samiyah answers the Deity first, saying, 'I am not used to seeing.. feeling.. witnessing.. that Hunt..'

Sagan says (in common), 'I choose to do so.... proactively. '.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'Yes.. that is what He said was His duty'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'That it was to save others'.
You say (in common), 'to protect others..'.
You say (in common), 'And it was a duty he could be proud of, enjoy..'.

Sagan says (in common), 'Do not think that justifies the actions. '.

Samiyah whispers, 'I do not understand the joy of it.'

Katrana grins Wyldly.

Sagan says (in common), 'I am not a good creature. Nor was He. '.

>l sagan
You say (in common), 'Is not what you do for your brothers, good?'.

Sagan says (in common), 'To save others from the burden, however, we Ordained take that blackness into us. '.

Samiyah looks deeply troubled.

You blink.

Sagan says (in common), 'It is - but would walking through a fire to save a child still not leave marks upon your skin?'.
Sagan says (in common), 'You would do good, but be forever changed. '.
Sagan shrugs.
Sagan says (in common), 'It is the same with those of us who walk this path. '.

Samiyah's mouth makes a little 'o' of surprise and understanding.
Samiyah nods mutely.

You say (in common), 'But are you a bad man?'.

Katrana says, 'Good, evil...it is a matter of perspective.'.

Sagan says (in common), 'I don't know what I am. '.

Katrana says, 'To me, my Hunt...my Hound, I do not believe is a bad man...Though the realm may view him otherwise.'.

> l katrana

Sagan says (in common), 'I am a boon to my friends and a danger to my enemies. That is all I hope for.'.
Sagan smiles happily.

Katrana says, 'He Protects mine, he grants Rebirths to those who the Pattern calls to strike down.'.

Katrana says, 'Sometimes...yes, sometimes, he strikes down his own brethren.'.
Katrana says, 'As it's their time.'.
Katrana says, 'Though not as often as others'.

Samiyah murmurs, 'This is far beyond my little desert...'

Katrana giggles Wyldly as crimson drops fall from her shears.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'I'm sure it all is.'.

Samiyah scrambles back as the blood hits the floor, pointing.
You say (in common), 'Like His shield!'.

Katrana tilts her head to the side in thought.

The drop of blood skitters across the room and into a crevice, like an insect.

Sagan sits down and thinks deeply.

Samiyah takes a sliding step away from that section of the wall.

Katrana says, 'Why so frightened?'.

Aoide arrives from the west.

Sagan sidles slowly away.

Sagan bows before Aoide.

Aoide frowns.
Aoide curtseys gracefully to Sagan.

Sagan says (in common), 'My Lady, you look ravishing as always. '.
Sagan kisses Aoide's hand. How continental!

Aoide says (in common), 'are you helping Sami figure out her curse?'.

Katrana says, 'Her curse?'.

You say (in common), 'His shield is made of the blood of angels.. are your scissors?'.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.

Sagan says (in common), 'I gave her a seizure. is that the same thing as helping, Aoide?'.

You say (in common), 'I had not spoken of it, Sayyida Aoide..'.
You say (in common), 'We were speaking of something else, and then..'.
You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.

Katrana says, 'No dear...my scissors, they drip with the blood of cut Threads.'.

Aoide looks at Sagan.

You say (in common), 'The Hound gave me an artifact, and it let me See that which should not be seen.'.

Katrana says, 'Those that have been granted their Rebirth.'.

The polished oak railing breathes gently, like a serpent...then is still.

You scream. ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Sagan says (in common), 'The blood that stains the helm, among other items we carry, is a burden that does not belong to you Sami.'.

Sagan smiles happily.

Samiyah hops away from the railing, trying to find a safe place to put her back to, finding none.

Sagan drops a ring mail helm.

You say (in common), 'Did you see it move?'.
You say (in common), 'Or am I going mad?'.
Samiyah points at the railing.

Sagan saw something.

Aoide says (in common), 'I did see it...quiver'.

Katrana says, 'You're amongst the power of immortals dear one.'.

Samiyah breathes at least a small sigh, not know herself not mad.

Katrana snaps her fingers bringing the roses in her hair to full bloom.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'What did you call me, Sayyida?'.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.
Katrana says, 'Me?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Katrana says, 'Dear one? It's what I call my lovelies when I'm concerned.'.

You say (in common), 'Or were You speaking to one of Yours, and not me?'.

Katrana says, 'I've watched you, you have a part amongst mine...they care for you.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I believe she was speaking to you, Sami'.

Katrana nods in recognition to Aoide.

Samiyah smiles wistfully. "It is what the Sahib calls me."

Katrana raises an eyebrow.
Katrana says, 'Does he now?'.

Sagan sits down and thinks deeply.

Samiyah frowns softly, saying, 'Well. He did.'

Aoide says (in common), 'did?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'He has not, for a time. Just as he has not granted me Sight.'.

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in common), 'why not?'.

You say (in common), 'He says He is not displeased, but... He simply .. does not.'.
You shrug.

Aoide says (in common), 'hm'.

Katrana says, 'I have yet to speak with him...but he...from what I've heard is nothing more than an abomination.'.
Katrana says, 'So help me, if he touches one of mine...Tynian save him.'.

Samiyah turns, a look of shock on her face.
You say (in common), 'He is NOT!'.

Sagan says (in common), 'I must excuse myself for a few minutes. I.. I'm sorry about the helm, Sami.'.

Katrana says, 'Aoide, he's not approached you has he?'.

Sagan leaves west.

You say (in common), 'He is like Sagan!'.

Katrana says, 'Sagan does not destroy souls.'.

Samiyah blanches in horror, realizing she has just spoken sharply to an immortal.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, he has not'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but I did speak with him'.

You say (in common), 'Forgive me.'.

Katrana says, 'He grants Rebirth to those that need it.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I know that Samiyah honors him'.
Aoide says (in common), 'so I try to as well'.

You say (in common), 'He is the God of my tribe..'.
You say (in common), 'The Three Who Are One.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but you have to know, Sami, what he does with souls is not...'.
Aoide says (in common), 'is not comfortable for us'.
Aoide says (in common), 'We also honor Three'.

You say (in common), 'He does not break them or destroy them'.
You say (in common), 'I have seen it.'.

Katrana says, 'But he can create them?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but they are not his to touch'.
Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps those of your tribe'.

You say (in common), 'He takes strength from them, but they are not destroyed.'.
You say (in common), 'He ... has...'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but my soul is bound to the Three that I worship'.

Samiyah looks a little uncomfortable. 'He has part of mine.'

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in common), 'by your free giving?'.

You say (in common), 'He had some of one of the Sayyida DarkClaw's, and returned it.'.

Katrana scowls, pacing back and forth her eyes flickering quickly between colors of crimson, ebon, and jade.

Samiyah nods to Aoide.

You say (in common), 'HE was dying..'.
You say (in common), 'And so I gave it to him.'.
You say (in common), 'He could have taken it all...'.
You say (in common), 'But he did not.'.

Katrana glances sharply to Samiyah.
Katrana says, 'You offered your soul?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I think that was a foolish thing. But then, I do not know the ways of your tribe'.

You say (in common), 'I offered.. enough to help him, and no more. And that is what he took. Only just enough.'.

A Tangling of Tentacles

Wish arrives from the west.

Samiyah says softly, 'He was dying.'

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana utters a word and looks to the Pattern that appeared above her.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Wish.'.

Aoide curtseys gracefully to Wish.

Wish says, 'hello, Sami'.
Wish says, 'What adventures do you find yourself in tonight?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Greetings, Lord Alchemist'.

Wish bows before Aoide.

Samiyah murmurs, 'There has been too much to speak of.'

Katrana sighs loudly.
Katrana snatches a mottled white and forest green Thread from the Pattern.

Aoide looks to Katrana.

You say (in common), 'Sayyida?'.

Katrana says, 'Samiyah...this Thread...is Sagan's.'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

Katrana sighs with sadness.

Aoide says (in common), 'do not worry, Samiyah'.
Aoide says (in common), 'her scissors are sheathed'.
Aoide giggles.

You say (in common), 'it looks so different than when the Sahib..'.

Katrana says, 'The colors...they are off. This Thread is merged with that of Ashendarei.'.

Samiyah watches and listens, falling silent.

Katrana says, 'Someone...some shard, a fragment...'.
Katrana says, 'Was stealing the souls, the very life essence from Ashendarei'.

Samiyah goes pale.

Katrana touches the white upon the Thread.
The roses within Katrana's hair start to slowly wilt.

Katrana says, 'Sagan...'.
Katrana says, 'Not knowing what he was doing'.
Katrana says, 'Attempted to save Ashendarei.'.

Wish gives Katrana a piece of seaweed to replace the roses.

Katrana smiles slightly at the tentacled deity.

Katrana says, 'That day...that horrid day.'.
Katrana says, 'They merged.'.
Katrana says, 'As Ashendarei's Thread, alone, was no longer strong...his soul depleted'.
Katrana says, 'Part of Ashendarei is in Sagan to this day.'.
Katrana says, 'That is why he is my Hound...'.
Katrana says, 'In more ways than one.'.

Samiyah nods, raptly listening.

Aoide says (in common), 'and why he is so...canine'.

Katrana nods in recognition to Aoide.
Katrana says, 'Souls...the manipulation of them'.
Katrana says, 'Is so dangerous.'.
Katrana places the Thread amongst the Pattern.

Wish says, 'what is this talk of souls?'.

Katrana tilts her head when slowly reaching out for a desert opal Thread.

Katrana says, 'Seraph...'.
Katrana wrinkles her nose.

Wish says, 'Seraph?! Again?'.

Katrana nods in recognition to Wish.
Katrana says, 'Samiyah, have you seen your Thread?'.

Wish says, 'He is like your wilted rose...without the sweet smell.'.

Samiyah bows her head, murmuring, 'No, Sayyida. It is not for one such as I.'
Samiyah whispers, 'I have seen my soul in His hands, however... it was a light..'

Wish says, 'Katrana, are you sure you want to show her? '.

Katrana waves her hand and says, 'Oh bother...if Sister were here she could read it.'
Katrana says, 'I have not the talent She does.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'To read the Pattern is something for the Lady Weaver'.

Katrana nods in recognition to Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'but to merely look upon one'.
Aoide says (in common), 'there is no blaspheme in that'.

Katrana says, 'But I can tell you, that you may see it'.

Katrana offers the desert opal Thread to Samiyah.
Katrana says, 'Careful.'.

Samiyah glances up briefly, then back down.

Wish says, 'it's not blasphemy...but are we sure Sami's fragile mind can handle it?'.

Katrana says, 'So much power, in such a small package.'.
Katrana grins Wyldly.

Wish says, 'sheesh, I mentioned the One True God to her a few days ago, and she just about went nuts.'.
Wish says, 'I can't imagine what might happen if she sees her own thread.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh Squish, you and I could talk for days on that topic.'.

Samiyah glances at the Immortal with narrowed eyes, and says through gritted teeth, 'You blasphemed.'
Samiyah tacks on a respectful, 'Sahib.' at the end.

Aoide says (in common), 'Samiyah'.
Aoide says (in common), 'do you trust Lady Katrana?'.

Wish laughs.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You say (in common), 'I do not _know_ the Sayyida enough. I trust _you_.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'thank you'.

Wish says, 'Samiyah, let me ask you a question.'.

Katrana looks at the desert opal Thread before placing it amongst the Pattern.

Wish says, 'Are there not Gods above your precious Seraph?'.

You say (in common), 'That is why you are the Sayyida Aoide.'.
You say (in common), 'The only mortal I give that respect to.'.
You smile at her.

Katrana says, 'Sami...I want you to remember how your Thread looked. Glistening, beautiful.'.

Wish says, '(if slightly quivering)'.
Wish rolls his eyes.

Katrana says, 'Sagan's...was a brilliant forest green...Ashendarei's a brilliant bone white.'.

Samiyah glances back and forth between Wish and Katrana, feeling overwhelmed.

Katrana says, 'Tampering of souls turned it to what it is today.'.

You say (in common), 'Did you see part of mine missing, Sayyida?'.

Katrana says, 'Did you not?'.
Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.

You say (in common), '.. I did not...'.
You say (in common), 'But I did not look long or too closely.'.

Katrana says, 'You know what Sami...to show you. Let me see if I can't find one that may be untampered.'.

Samiyah says with very careful courtesy, 'Yes, Sahib, there are gods higher than Ser..The Sahib... Tynian and others.'

Wish points to his thread.

Katrana reviews the Pattern.

You say (in common), 'And I have never seen a Thread before, so...'.

Katrana says, 'Oh bah Squish, Immortal Threads are very powerful..it would not be a good comparison.'.

Wish twangs his thread with his 5th tentacle.

You say (in common), 'It seemed whole and beautiful..'.

Katrana sighs loudly.
Katrana peers deeper into the Pattern.

Samiyah blushes slightly as she says it, as if feeling boastful for the words.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, Sami, this is what you should feel'.

Katrana turns to Aoide.
Katrana says, 'Oh, let me just find it.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'your humility does you credit'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but your soul is..SHOULD be whole and beautiful'.

>l wish

Wish poses for Samiyah, his 3rd and 7th tentacles high up in the air.
Wish says, 'brb'.
Wish disappears silently, his quivering tentacles leaving a slimy trail of ectoplasm as he fades into the ether.

Aoide looks at you.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Aoide smiles at you.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'Oh bother Sister is so much faster at this than I am.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'we will not force our own religion upon you...but there is only Truth'.

Katrana says, 'I am much better at, well, cutting Them'.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.

Katrana giggles.

Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps the Three we honor and the Three you honor have some connection'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but a soul is a soul either way'.

Aoide snickers with Katrana about their shared secret.

You say (in common), 'I believe in the Shepherd, the Teacher, and the Guardian'.
You say (in common), 'Who are all aspects of Him.'.
You say (in common), 'The Shepherd who guides, the Teacher who corrects and instructs, and the Guardian, who defends and disciplines.'.

Katrana says, 'Wyrm, Weaver...'.
Katrana says, 'Wyld.'.
Katrana grins evilly.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'Well, Sahib did say that You were one of His greatest teachers and influences...'.
You say (in common), 'Along with Sahib Kerri..'.

Samiyah checks the position of her veil in a gesture of slight nervousness.

Katrana snatches the desert opal Thread and a brilliant carnelian Thread.
Katrana holds the two Threads out.
Katrana looks at Samiyah.

Katrana says, 'Yours dear one, is the desert opal.'.
Katrana says, 'Aoide's, is the brilliant carnelian.'.

Samiyah lifts one hesitant hand, then draws it back, and simply stares.

Katrana says, 'Notice dear, how bright Aoide's is in comparison.'.
Katrana says, 'How it almost seems to pulse, and reach to you.'.

Samiyah smiles. 'Aoide outshines me in many ways.'

Katrana says, 'Her Thread, her life force...is untampered.'.
Katrana says, 'No, no, no'.
Katrana says, 'Each Thread is positively unique.'.
Katrana says, 'And so very important to the Pattern.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'besides the fact that it is not so'.

Katrana says, 'Each one of you shines.'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'Sayyida..'.
You say (in common), 'If, part of my Thread - my spirit - is held by another...'.
You say (in common), 'Would it not be an influence on that other?'.
You say (in common), 'As Ashendari is to Sagan?'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'It is.'.
Katrana nods sadly.

You say (in common), 'Then might that not be.. well... a good thing?'.
You say (in common), 'If it is helping to make that person .. different?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'it is a dangerous thing'.

Katrana tilts her head to the side.
Katrana says, 'It is dangerous.'.

You say (in common), 'It seemed to be making a change, for a time..'.
You say (in common), 'But now, less so...'.

Katrana says, 'Aoide shares her thoughts, and ways to make differences with her song.'.
Katrana says, 'Sagan and Shilea with their blades.'.

You say (in common), 'I would give more of my soul to make it so.'.
Her tone is soft and wistful.

Katrana says, 'Oh dear one.'.

Katrana reaches out to places a hand on Samiyah's shoulder, before reaching back, as if remembering something.
Katrana says, 'Dear, never ever...lose yourself.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Samiyah, there is no doubt that you did what do you did in good faith. Can I even say that I would not do the same for my goddess? I do not know that I can deny that I would'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'He was dying.'.

Katrana says, 'Share who you are with others through what way you can. But your soul, that is you...if you lose you, how can you share you with others.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but you only have one soul to give'.

Katrana says, 'Aoide, never, give your soul for me.'.
Katrana says, 'Understand?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and your Sahib, even if we all trusted him'.
Aoide says (in common), '(which I'm not sure we do)'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.

Aoide bows her head and stares at the floor.
Aoide says (in common), 'Yes, my Lady'.

Katrana says, 'That is yours. You all do what you can, quest, seek help from my Sister...but never...ever do that for me.'.

You say (in common), 'No one seems to, except me, and I don't understand why.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I beg of you, please never need it'.
Aoide says (in common), 'for it would be too hard to watch you go'.

Katrana hugs Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'but even if we did..'.

Katrana says, 'I remember how you watch me when I was, well, little.'.
Katrana grins evilly.

Aoide smiles happily.

Katrana says, 'Ever my mother you are.'.
Katrana grins evilly.

Samiyah tilts her head to one side.
You say (in common), 'Perhaps that is a gift of the way of the desert.'.
You say (in common), 'If I knew that my God needed it..'.
You say (in common), 'I would give all that I was and more.'.
You say (in common), 'For is that not worship?'.

Aoide smiles happily.

Katrana ruffles Aoide's hair playfully.

Aoide says (in common), 'but what of when that is gone?'.

Katrana nods in recognition to Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'what will you have to give then'.

You say (in common), 'Then their need would have been met.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and if not?'.

Katrana says, 'Aoide is right.'.
Katrana says, 'If you give all of yourself, how can you give more.'.

You say (in common), 'Another would step forward.'.
You say (in common), 'And another. And another.'.
You say (in common), 'All that we are, is given to our Gods.'.

Sagan rests.

Samiyah points up.

Aoide frowns.

You say (in common), 'The foul betrayer went that way.'.

Katrana says, 'excuse me a moment, I need to watch over mine.'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), 'Are you hunting Belgarion?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'frankly, it is not even the portion of your soul lacking that bothers me'.
Aoide says (in common), 'though that does concern me'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but you so often seem so distraught'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and while pain is part of the way of things, can there not also be joy?'.

Samiyah murmurs something softly under her breath, the words unclear, save for '..law... no ...weakness'

You say (in common), 'I am not strong. And yes. I do get afraid. Or sad.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'you are strong'.

You say (in common), 'But I am often shown things that are .. difficult... to bear witness to.'.

Aoide nods.

You say (in common), 'Such as the visions the Helm had.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'as I said'.
Aoide says (in common), 'strong'.

You say (in common), 'And the shield.'.

You say (in common), 'And strange things sometimes happen, such as skeletons and bugs and other frightening things..'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and railings wiggling like snakes'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'But those things are not the fault of the Sahib..'.

Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps not'.

You say (in common), 'They are just me trying not to be a caterpillar.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'a caterpillar?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Aoide says (in common), 'is there danger of your sprouting legs and scurrying off?'.

You say (in common), 'No, I seek to someday be a butterfly. But the process is not without pain and discomfort.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'this is true'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but I fear you may never see yourself as such'.
Aoide says (in common), 'long after you've sprouted beautiful wings'.

Samiyah flashes you a smile, causing her veil to shift slightly.

You say (in common), 'I will know.'.
You say (in common), 'I am just ... still... '.
Samiyah's hands shift slightly, trying to find the right words.
You say (in common), 'Growing.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'yes'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and your Sahib seems to have brought you much knowledge and strength'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Aoide says (in common), 'but this thing he does with souls'.
Aoide says (in common), 'it does not sit well with many'.
Aoide says (in common), 'even those of us who would like to believe your trust in him'.

You say (in common), 'He challenges me often. He does not _require_ or _force_ as everyone has said he does..'.
You say (in common), 'But He leaves the choice to me.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, perhaps not'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but it is still dangerous'.
Aoide says (in common), 'Sagan gave his soul willingly, though he did not know what it was he did'.

You say (in common), 'And I gave mine just as willingly...'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and it will *never* be the same'.
Aoide nods.

You say (in common), 'Why is it fine for him and bad for me?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'it is NOT fine for him'.
Aoide says (in common), 'that is what we are saying'.

You say (in common), 'He did a good thing, in his sacrifice.. did he not?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'the loss of his individual thread is mourned by our lady always'.

Wish dances a jig on his 2nd, 3rd, and 5th tentacles.

You say (in common), 'There is a saying in the desert: I will offer up no sacrifice to my God that costs me naught - '.
You say (in common), 'For that which costs nothing, is worth nothing.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and I agree'.
Aoide says (in common), 'a sacrifice is nothing if you do not suffer for its lack'.

You say (in common), 'It was a sacrifice. And it helped Him.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and I am not meaning to dishonor your sacrifice'.
Aoide says (in common), 'merely to warn'.
Aoide says (in common), 'let me think of a better way to explain'.

You say (in common), 'And for a time, it seemed to make him... different.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I have heard tales of the exotically deadly creatures of the desert'.

Samiyah says softly, 'He asked to be my friend. Though now, I do not think I would use that word.'

Aoide says (in common), 'do you have any of those in your Tribe's lands?'.

You giggle.
You say (in common), 'The tale of the scorpion and the frog.'.
You say (in common), 'I know it, Sayyida.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'well then, let us pretend that I came to visit your Tribe'.

You say (in common), '"It is my nature" sayeth the scorpion.'.

Aoide nods in recognition to you.

You say (in common), 'That story?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Aoide says (in common), 'though I do not suppose that I would be welcome'.

You shake your head.
You shake your head.
You shake your head.
You shake your head.
You shake your head.

Aoide says (in common), 'as verbose and recklessly...uncovered as I am'.

You say (in common), 'You would be ..'.
You say (in common), 'You must NEVER go.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, I will not'.
Aoide says (in common), 'not without you'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but let's just say'.
Aoide says (in common), 'that a bard went to visit another Tribe somewhere'.
Aoide says (in common), 'one in a desert like your own'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and when she arrived there, the dear friend that she went to visit lay dying'.
Aoide says (in common), 'poisoned'.
Aoide says (in common), '"Is there nothing to be done?" she asks'.
Aoide says (in common), '"Oh yes, there is cure" said the healers'.
Aoide says (in common), '"But the cost is too great"'.
Aoide says (in common), '"Tell me the price and I will pay it" says the bard'.
Aoide says (in common), 'for her friend is very dear'.
Aoide says (in common), '"The tail of the scorpion holds a cure" they said'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and so off the bard went to find this scorpion'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but you see, I am from the trees'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I know nothing of the desert'.
Aoide says (in common), 'if I went hunting a scorpion alone, would you not warn me?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Aoide says (in common), 'warn me of what it might do? Encourage me to stay away?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'or at the least, how to avoid the sting?'.

You say (in common), 'I would give you a potion to cure you.'.
You say (in common), 'And tell you to avoid the red ones.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'this is what I try to do'.

Sagan rests.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

Teva looks at Teva.

You say (in common), 'SIMILUS!'.
You say (in common), 'That was the Sahib's weapon..'.
You say (in common), 'Though..'.
Samiyah frowns, still feeling the effects of the helm.
You say (in common), 'He did counsel it might be too much to bear...'.

Wish ftells, 'do not show Samiyah your weapon'.
Wish ftells, 'but tease her with the knowledge of it '.

Teva ftells, 'my weapon is between my legs......but ok'.

Wish ftells, 'heh'.

Wish ftells, 'offer to show it to her, but always make the price too high'.

Aoide says (in common), 'THIS is all I try to do for you'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I do not know what is truth with your Sahib'.

You say (in common), 'To warn me of the scorpion that heals?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and I honor your devotion'.

You say (in common), 'and also stings?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, to warn you against what I know is dangerous'.
Aoide says (in common), 'for I have seen the death it can bring'.

You sigh.
Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Aye, Sayyida.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'though I suppose it is not a perfect analogy'.
Aoide says (in common), 'because you do know all about the scorpions'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and I do not know all of what has happened or will happen for you'.

You say (in common), 'But does not your beloved Sagan-Hound, and beloved Hunters all, cut threads and do violence and harm?'.
You say (in common), 'So how is one 'bad' and the other 'not-quite-as-bad'?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but he does not permanently remove them'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and he does not take them as his own'.
Aoide says (in common), 'a thread cut is simply a chance at Rebirth'.
Aoide says (in common), 'that is not the same as saving a piece of the thread for his own'.

Wish says, 'I know what will happen to Samiyah'.
Wish says, 'eventually, she will realize that there is One True God'.

Samiyah glares at you from over her veil, her almond eyes narrowed.
You say (in common), 'HIS NAME IS TYNIAN'.

Wish shakes his head.

Teva says (in common), 'lord Nash'.

Wish says, 'Tell me Samiyah.. how could it be Tynian? '.

You say (in common), 'Because He created all.'.
You say (in common), 'And likewise can destroy all.'.

Wish says, 'oh really? Is not Tynian part of this world?'.
Wish says, 'does not Tynian come and speak with us?'.

You say (in common), 'The world is of His making.'.

Wish shakes his head.
Wish says, 'Tynian is not the One True God...how could he be, and yet also be a part of this world which can be destroyed?'.
Wish says, 'Would that not also destroy him?!'.
Wish says, 'of course it would!'.
Wish says, 'and so Tynian can not be the One True God!'.

You say (in common), 'With respect, Sahib, You are utterly mad.'.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Wish says, 'because the One True God cannot be destroyed!'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'umm'.

Wish says, 'I am not mad..my logic is flawless'.

You say (in common), 'Perhaps there is an equivalent to sand-sickness in teh water.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'how can calling someone mad be respectful'.
Belgarion sits down and thinks deeply.

You say (in common), 'No one here is speaking to you, Foul Betrayer.'.

Wish says, 'Belgarion, I take no offence to this young child's ignorance'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'never bothered me before'.

You say (in common), 'However, to answer your question, one can observe a behavior, respectfully note it.'.

Belgarion nods.

Aoide snickers softly.

Belgarion says (in common), 'that's good'.

You say (in common), 'and move on.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I don't mean to make light of your feud Samiyah'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but I do think it is slightly comical to see you loathe Belgarion so'.

Wish leaves up.

Belgarion says (in common), 'I show respect to those that do not side with HIM'.

Wish appears suddenly, his luminescent, unblinking eyes emerging from the ether like two bloodless moons.

Aoide says (in common), 'such passion is...refreshing'.

Belgarion bows deeply.

You say (in common), 'This person was once a friend, and because he could not acknowledge his own inadequacies, turned his anger at me.'.

Wish says, 'as I said, my logic is flawless'.

Belgarion laughs.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you deserved it'.
Belgarion leaves west.

Wish says, 'the One True God must be beyond the creation or destruction of this realm'.
Wish says, 'and there is only one that meets that description'.

Samiyah mutters something under her breath, the harsh words of frustration muffled by the layers of her veil.

You say (in common), 'His own Sayyida says that I did not!'.

Samiyah whispers a desert curse under her breath, involving your sleeping blankets and the fleas of ten thousand camels.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Wish, I believe You believe what You say. I believe that You are sand-struck and mad.'.
You say (in common), 'For which cure and healing, I will pray.'.
Samiyah kneels and withdraws a stick of incense from an saddlebag.
Samiyah carefully lights the incense, watching the smoke rise upward.
Samiyah murmurs a soft prayer: May the Gods Above watch over them.
Samiyah murmurs a soft prayer: Keep them safe from harm, I entreat you.

Wish says, 'Well, Samiyah, ask yourself this.'.
Wish says, 'Have you asked Tynian if He believes in a One True God?'.

You say (in common), 'I would never be so disrespectful, Sahib.'.

Wish says, '(and the fact that you can ask Tynian anything, also proves he is not the One True God)'.
Wish says, 'well, you should one day'.

You say (in common), 'I would rather ask the Sun how is it that the Moon illuminates the day.'.
Samiyah says rather pointedly.

Wish says, 'and yet, unlike the Sun, Tynian might actually give you an answer'.
Wish says, 'IF here were the One True God, I would expect him to be as mute as the sun.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Where does it say that the One True God must be mute?'.

Wish says, 'it does not'.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Wish... have You not told the tale of how You met your Lord Nash?'.
You say (in common), 'Did He not speak to You?'.
You say (in common), 'I thought to write about you for Aoide's Immortal Bardic Circle, and read many stories.'.

Wish says, 'I never said he would be mute. '.
Wish says, 'I said you would not receive an answer to the moons secrets.'.

Samiyah glances at Wish with pity. 'I will continue to pray for You, Sahib. I can do nothing more.'

Wish laughs.
Wish says, 'you will see, Samiyah'.
Wish says, 'Seraph, your God, is as powerless as they come.'.

Teva cackles gleefully at Wish.

Wish says, 'It is really rather humorous.'.
Wish says, 'He does not even have the power to claim new adherents.'.

You say (in common), '... and yet, He has those who give Him their faith.'.

Wish says, 'I have faith in my houseplant...'.
Wish says, 'and yet even it can still grow more than Seraph'.

Aoide raises an eyebrow.

Samiyah's face turns crimson with anger.
You say (in common), 'You, Sahib, are rude.'.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Wish laughs.

Teva laughs at Wish mercilessly.

Wish says, 'Let us do the accounting, shall we, Sami?'.
Wish says, 'in this conversation I have been called "Mad'.
Wish says, 'You have taken pity on me'.
Wish says, 'and now you call me rude'.

Teva ftells, 'i should kill her for calling you rude'.

You say (in common), 'As I would, any broken, injured thing.'.
You say (in common), 'That I would try to heal.'.
You say (in common), 'I have not compared you to a houseplant'.
You say (in common), 'pity is a kindness. It is not scorn.'.
You say (in common), 'But yes. I think that your mind is broken. I hope that it is fixed. I do not say that with rancor or hatefulness.'.
You say (in common), 'Yet your words are absolutely scornful and hateful.'.

Teva says (in common), 'keep calling my deity rude and I will have to kill you samiyah'.
Teva pokes you in the ribs.

You say (in common), 'If that is your wish, Teva, then that is what you will do.'.

Wish says, 'it is fine Teva. I need no pity from one so afraid to show her face to the world...As if the world cared what was behind those beads. She is but a desert girl'.

You say (in common), 'I veil out of obedience to the laws and codes of my tribe.'.

Wish says, 'ah yes...obedience'.

You say (in common), 'And there is no shame in it, and I will feel none, despite your words.'.

Wish says, 'You are wrong, Samiyah'.

You say (in common), 'In what am I wrong, Sahib?'.

Wish says, 'your tribes laws are shameful in and of themselves...'.
Wish says, 'They are laws formed in shame'.
Wish says, 'They are laws enforced in shame'.
Wish says, 'And as long as they prevent you from being what you could be, they are laws drenched in shame'.

You say (in common), 'I am all that I am. I am yet becoming what I may. '.

Wish says, 'you are blind to the truth of the world, samiyah'.

You say (in common), 'that may be, Sahib.'.

Wish says, 'and the worst part of it: you willingly wear more than one veil'.

Samiyah murmurs, 'That which is revealed, is reviled.'

Wish says, 'Samiyah, you will drive yourself mad if you continue your pursuit of knowledge that you are ill-equipped to handle.'.

Samiyah says simply, 'It is my choice.'
You say (in common), '.. I must know.'.
You say (in common), '.. I must understand.'.

Wish says, 'My follower has Seraph's weapon.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'I saw it.'.
You say (in common), 'The Sahib has said..'.

Wish says, 'You say you wish my mind to be healed, do you not? From madness?'.
Wish says, 'well, since I am a giving God, I shall return the favor.'.
Wish says, 'And so, to prevent the madness which shall surely overtake your mind if you continue this pursuit...'.
Wish says, 'I shall forbid Teva from ever showing you this weapon.'.
Wish says, 'for your own good'.

You say (in common), 'For my own good, Sahib?'.
You say (in common), 'OR out of malice?'.
Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Wish says, 'I hold no malice to you, Sami'.

You say (in common), 'No, but you have malice towards the Sahib'.

Wish laughs.
Wish says, 'not at all'.

You say (in common), 'and it is Him that I seek to understand.'.

Wish says, 'I hold malice to one thing in this world'.
Wish says, 'and you should know what that is by now'.

You say (in common), 'I think you would say untruth.'.

Wish claps at your performance.
Wish says, 'close'.
Wish says, 'Willful ignorance'.

You say (in common), 'Yet you would deny me the knowing?'.

Wish says, 'I would'.
Wish says, 'since the knowing would drive you insane'.
Wish says, 'as it has already started to do'.

You say (in common), 'each learning has been painful..'.
You say (in common), 'but as I have said to Sayyida Aoide... the transition from caterpillar to butterfly is not without discomfort for the caterpillar.'.

Samiyah mutters, 'I am not crazy. Other people saw it move.'

Wish says, 'not all caterpillars turn into butterflies Samiyah'.
Wish says, 'some become disgusting moths'.
Wish says, 'I will make you a bargain, Samiyah'.
Wish says, 'since I do believe in choice'.

You say (in common), 'I will make no bargains with Immortals, without discussing them with the Sahib first.'.

Wish says, 'you may of course discuss with him'.
Wish says, 'I do not need the answer now'.
Wish says, 'here is my bargain'.
Wish says, 'I shall allow the weapon to be shown to you.'.

Samiyah nervously smoothes the dark, concealing folds of her linen veil to ensure all that should be hidden, is.

Wish says, 'in return, you shall seek out and read all about Lord Nash'.

Samiyah quotes, 'All knowledge is worth having.'

Wish says, 'Consider it the reading of an ancient legend, if you refuse to believe'.
Wish says, 'nothing more'.

You say (in common), 'I will ask The Sahib.'.

Wish says, 'please do'.
Wish says, 'and May the Light of Lord Nash be upon thee, Samiyah'.

Wish disappears silently, his quivering tentacles leaving a slimy trail of ectoplasm as he fades into the ether.

You shiver. Brrrrrrrrr.

Wish ftells, 'do not show samiyah the weapon, teva, until i say so...'.
Wish ftells, 'please'.

Inquiring of the Wyldess

Within a Grand Hunting Lodge
[Exits: west]
Massive beams of dark, ancient pine form the walls and ceiling of this enormous
hunting lodge. Trophies hang upon the wall, ranging from a simple twelve point
buck to the scaled head of an ancient red dragon. The chamber is laid out
symmetrically with rows of tressle tables and wide, stone fireplaces to either
side of the main corridor. To either side of the main door, twin staircases
spiral upwards towards the lofts where the hunters who live here take their
rest. The floor is strewn with sweet smelling rushes and fur hide rugs. In the
north-west corner, a small door leads out to the pens and stables. At the far
end of the lodge, a semi-circular raised platform holds the throne of the Lady
Huntress. The scent of a fresh kill and roasting meat fills the air, and the
sound of the hunting-hounds baying causes your blood to rise in your veins,
suffused with an intense joy you cannot explain.
(Red Aura) An enormous, empty black iron cauldron hangs above an unlit firepit.
(Invis 72) (Intense Light Red Aura) [GS] Katrana is here.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana smiles happily.
Katrana says, 'Sorry about my exit earlier'.

You say (in common), 'Sayyida, Immortals need never apologize for doing as Immortals must.'.

You say (in common), 'I would ask a question of You, if I may?'.

Katrana says, 'Certainly dear one.'.

You say (in common), 'Looking at someone's thread..'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'Can you tell if they are .. hm..'.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.

You say (in common), 'going mad?'.
You say (in common), 'Losing their senses?'.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'My Sister...she can read Threads like no other. Me...I read emotion, I thrive in passion and chaos.'.
Katrana says, 'Dear one, I can tell you are fragmented at the moment, and confused.'.
Katrana tilts her head to the side in thought.
Katrana says, 'You have those you consider friends'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'The Sahib Wish says that my mind is broken from witnessing the artifacts I have touched.'
You say (in common), 'That I am going slowly insane.'.

Katrana says, 'Do you think I'm insane?'.
Katrana giggles.

You say (in common), 'I do not know, Sayyida'.

Katrana says, 'Some say so.'.
Katrana says, 'Others say that I'm passionate'.
Katrana says, 'My lovelies, they think I'm me.'.

You say (in common), 'I think, despite my harsh words to Sahib Wish, that it is beyond a mortal's comprehension, as to the sanity of a mortal.'.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'Tell me dear one. What do you think.'.
Katrana says, 'What does Samiyah think of all of this?'.

You say (in common), '.. if others had not seen the banister move..'.
You say (in common), 'Then ... perhaps I might agree with him.'.
You say (in common), 'But others saw it.'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'The other things..'.

Mutex rests.
Mutex bows deeply.
Mutex hugs Katrana.
Katrana hugs Mutex.

Katrana says, 'Immortals have influence dear. Sometimes we don't know we're doing things...but we are.'.

Mutex says (in elven), 'shall I leave?'.

You say (in common), 'The bug, the hand in the pit, the creature in the Pyramid snoring..'.
You say (in common), 'no one else was there to see that.'.

Mutex says (in common), 'I'll depart'.

You say (in common), 'Not on my account'.
You say (in common), 'this is your home, not mine.'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana says, 'Oh bother, no worries.'.
Katrana says, 'He's fine'.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.

Katrana unlocks the rune-covered trapdoor.
Katrana says, 'Come'.
Katrana opens the rune-covered trapdoor.
Katrana leaves down.

Samiyah glances downward, shivers, and obeys.

An Underground Cavern
[Exits: up]
The scent of wood smoke fills your nostrils as you glance about the rough-
hewn cavern surrounding you. The roof of the cave glitters with the light from
thousands of precious stones embedded deep within the rough stone, each one
catching and reflecting the light of the enormous bonfire that blazes in the
center of the cavern. Piles of furs dot the walls, some occupied by the
Huntress' minions and others empty but oddly inviting. Strings of skulls, both
animal and human, hang from the ceiling against the eastern wall, clattering
and echoing hollowly as a constant breeze emanates from deep within the
cavern. Tendrils of thorny vines writhe against the northern wall behind the
throne, occasionally offering up a glimpse of the large, black thorns that
guard the black roses the Wyldess adores.
(Invis 72) (Intense Light Red Aura) [GS] Katrana is here.
(Light Red Aura) (White Aura) Manatheren, hound of the Hunt, lays beside the Wyldess' throne.

Katrana smiles happily.

Katrana pats Manatheren before lounging on her throne.

Samiyah eyes the Hound carefully.

Katrana says, 'This, is Manatheren.'.
Katrana says, 'Ashendarei's brother...my other hound.'.

Samiyah nods slowly, remembering the other time she met the Hound.
You say (in common), 'Ink kicked him. '.

Katrana says, 'Ahh yes.'.
Katrana says, 'He paid Ink back for that.'.
Katrana smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Wish has offered me a bargain.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh?'.
Katrana says, 'What's this bargain?'.

You say (in common), 'He will allow Teva to show me Similus, which I am seeking, for it was made for the Sahib..'.
You say (in common), 'But I must study the lore of Lord Nash.'.

Katrana says, 'There is no harm in learning.'.
Katrana says, 'Especially for one in your profession.'.

Samiyah nods slowly.

Katrana says, 'Though the practice of certain learned knowledge is what can be dangerous.'.

You say (in common), 'But he says it will break my mind beyond repair.'.

Katrana sighs loudly.
Katrana says, 'Sami, how much do you know of my past?'.

You say (in common), 'Nothing, Sayyida.'.
You say (in common), 'Only that you are Wyldess.'.
You say (in common), 'And that when you awoke, it was of great joy to your Hunters'.

Katrana nods slowly.
Katrana says, 'I was once mortal.'.

You say (in common), 'That is one of the hardest things for me to understand.'.

Katrana smiles with the mirth of a child.

You say (in common), 'For the desert ways say that all of the Gods Who Walk are false gods'.
You say (in common), 'and yet Sahib once walked... as a mortal.'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'And now you say that you did, too.'.

Katrana says, 'Several of us have. I knew Wish, Seraph, DarkClaw...'.
Katrana says, 'All of them as mortals.'.
Katrana says, 'My Sister, Cordir...she was once my deity...I worshipped her...not yet knowing what I was.'.
Katrana says, 'She knew.'.

Samiyah finds a spot on a rug and sits, listening.

Katrana says, 'She helped me grow and transform to who I am today.'.

Samiyah smiles and murmurs, 'Butterfly.'

Katrana smiles slowly and whispers, 'In a way.'
Katrana says, 'I walked along side of the Nashites as well.'.
Katrana says, 'I was in the Inner Circle of the Black Conclave'.
Katrana says, 'Before finding my Sister.'.
Katrana says, 'But that tale is for a different day.'.

Zephyr tells you (in common), 'you near guild'.

Katrana says, 'Today, I want to tell you, that I once thought I was going crazy.'.
Katrana says, 'Much like how you think you are.'.

You tell Zephyr (in common), 'I am in your temple'.
You tell Zephyr (in common), 'well. below it.'.

Katrana says, 'I saw things others did not, heard things few others could.'.

Samiyah listens intently.

Zephyr tells you (in common), 'ok'.

Katrana says, 'I did not know I was the Wyldess, I would channel the powers of the Wyld as a mortal, and it was taxing'.
Katrana says, 'Cordir, Solaron...all of the Chosen.'.
Katrana says, 'They were so supportive, so loving...'.
Katrana says, 'Without them, I may very well have gone insane.'.
Katrana says, 'The Wyld, the powers around it. It's beautiful.'.

You say (in common), 'I will pray to the Three for strength.'.

Katrana smiles happily.
Katrana says, 'My point dear one...find friends...'.
Katrana says, 'Find ones who care for you.'.

Samiyah involuntarily smiles at the phrase, 'dear one.'

Katrana says, 'Find those that will help you, and care for you, and support you.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'I do have friends, Sayyida.'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'I have a sworn brother, in Cresom.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh?'.

You say (in common), 'And a friend in Aoide'.

Katrana smiles happily.

Samiyah turns over her palm, showing a thin scar on the dusky skin.
You say (in common), 'We swore it, in blood.'.

Katrana says, 'In blood? Is that why blood bothers you?'.

You say (in common), 'No, Sayyida..'.
You say (in common), 'I did not explain well, then.'.
You say (in common), 'The Sahib's shield drips blood, always. Your Hunter, Zephyr, has it.'.
You say (in common), 'It was crafted of unholy things.'.
You say (in common), 'When I saw your scissors, I thought them the same.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh, the artifacts and their dripping.'.

You say (in common), 'Blood itself, is not bad.'.

Katrana says, 'I understand now.'.

You say (in common), 'the images that I saw in my mind when I touched the shield and the helm'.
You say (in common), 'were of His life, through His eyes... for the helm...'.
You say (in common), 'and the shield remembers the taste of each person it has drunk from.'.
You say (in common), 'it is that violence that shocks and hurts and pains me'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'not blood itself, but the spilling of it'.
You say (in common), 'does that make sense?'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'It does'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'Back to the question of sane or insane.'.

You say (in common), 'Yes, Sayyida?'.

Katrana says, 'I was speaking of when I was young. A mortal, and the Chosen helped me.'.
Katrana says, 'There is a record of such an event.'.

You say (in common), 'Who was it?'.

Katrana says, 'Solaron. My beloved.'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'Does he have special powers to help crazy people?'.

Katrana says, 'Wielder of Similus...and my Huntsman.'.
Katrana laughs.
Katrana says, 'He drove people crazy'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'He had it as well?'.

Katrana says, 'But me he calmed.'.
Katrana raises an eyebrow.
Katrana says, 'Oh dear one, he had that prior to Seraph.'.

Katrana giggles Wyldly.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'But Sahib Kerri..'.
You say (in common), 'Said that He crafted it for the Sahib..'.

Katrana says, 'Similus? Oh my, Solaron won that in a quest from Khore.'.

You say (in common), 'Who is Khore?'.

You say (in common), 'So it was your beloved's?'.
You say (in common), 'Perhaps someday I could speak to him of it..'.

Katrana utters the words, 'gjwwai'.
Katrana utters the words, 'gjwwai'.
Zephyr arrives suddenly.

Katrana utters the words, 'waouq wuggurz'.
Katrana's magic missile devastates Zephyr.

Katrana unlocks the rune-covered trapdoor.

Samiyah glances at the old man, gasping as he is harmed.

>ch Zephyr
Zephyr shows little sign of injury.

Zephyr stands up.

Katrana hugs Zephyr.
Katrana says, 'You okay dear one?'.

Zephyr says (in common), 'ya he can'.
Zephyr says (in common), 'can't hurt me'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'Do be careful, I don't think it's quite time for your Thread to be cut'.

You say (in common), 'who is trying to hurt you?'.

Katrana ruffles Zephyr's hair playfully.

Katrana says, 'Okay where were we'.
Katrana says, 'Ah yes, so Solaron did hold Similus.'.

You say (in common), 'Solaron.'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'He was my Huntsman.'.

You say (in common), 'So perhaps Sahib Kerri was mistaken, then...'.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'Perhaps.'.

You say (in common), 'You said that there was something done to help you, by Solaron and the Chosen?'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'When you were worried you were crazy?'.

Katrana says, 'Several times.'.

You say (in common), 'I don't...think... I am...'.
You say (in common), 'but Sahib Wish assures me that I am.'.

Katrana says, 'One of those was recorded...'.
Katrana says, 'It also happens to be the record of my most favorite poem I've ever come up with!'.
Katrana giggles.
Katrana says, 'I'm no bard, so it took several weeks to come up with it.'.

You say (in common), 'I will ask the Sahib when I see.. er.. hear him next...'.
You say (in common), 'You write poems, Sayyida?'.

Katrana says, 'Oh my dear one, it's been years since I have'.

Samiyah again smiles at that term.

Katrana says, 'I used to quite frequently.'.
Katrana says, 'let me see if I can't remember it'.

Katrana giggles then darts for the bookcase.
Katrana grabs up a dusty scroll.
Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana reads the scroll over and nods.
Katrana says, 'Oh yay!'.
Katrana clears her throat.

Katrana reads, 'An inky blackness from below,'

Samiyah listens.

Katrana reads, 'Shifts and rises to and fro,'
Katrana reads, 'A crowded forest right in sight,'
Katrana reads, 'A spark erupts, a blinding light,'
Katrana reads, 'Fire, and chaos, Wyld's friend,'
Katrana reads, 'A storm draws near a fire's end,'
Katrana reads, 'Sleeting rain and brimstone fall,'
Katrana reads, 'Rage of Chaos, the Wyld's call,
Katrana reads, 'The sun arises to shed light round,'
Katrana reads, 'New growth appears upon the ground,'
Katrana reads, 'A continuous cycle has been shown,'
Katrana reads, 'Creation, Destruction, the Wyld's own'
Katrana smiles slowly, her eyes lost in thought.
Katrana shakes her head slightly.

Samiyah ponders, going over your words in her mind.

Katrana says, 'That was the night of Wyld praise...'.
Katrana says, '((http://www.tfcmud.com/tfc/community/timeline/2002/wyldpraise.htm))'.

Samiyah runs her hand lightly over the inky aura that surrounds her.

Katrana says, 'Don't run from who you are Sami...embrace it. At the same thought though, do not let others tell you who you are or are not suppose to be. Your Thread...You...is the most important thing in this world. For every Thread makes up the Pattern. And each, is so very important.'.

Samiyah says softly, 'The Sahib Wish said that all of the tribe's ways and traditions are rooted in shame and dishonor.'

Katrana says, 'Which tribe's?'.
Katrana raises an eyebrow.

You say (in common), '... mine.'.
You say (in common), 'The tribe in which I was born.'.

Katrana sighs loudly.
Katrana says, 'That was not right of him to say.'.

Samiyah nervously smoothes the dark, concealing folds of her linen veil to ensure all that should be hidden, is.

You say (in common), 'Sahib has said that not all of the laws, as taught, were as He commanded.'.
You say (in common), 'But He has not yet finished speaking of it.'.

Katrana says, 'Dear one...people of his belief think that theirs is the way, the correct way.'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'The "one and true" way'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'I've walked his faith before. They believe that way.'.
Katrana says, 'But there is so much more to the world. '.
Katrana says, 'You've seen immortals...Seraph, Wish, Natilena, Tynian...'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Katrana says, 'We all exist in this world.'.
Katrana says, 'All of our Threads, along with those of mortals intermixed making the world what it is.'.

You say (in common), 'So much of the world is not as I have been taught, Sayyida.'.
You say (in common), 'It can be a little overwhelming.'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'I understand. I do. And I am sorry that people are pulling you in so many directions. When you're overwhelmed...'.
Katrana says, 'Sometimes you just need time to think, and time to talk.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'I have a tree that I like to climb.'.

Katrana says, 'Do you?'.

You say (in common), 'It is like an ocean of leaves.'.
You say (in common), 'Like the ocean of sand, that was home.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh that sounds lovely!'.

You say (in common), 'And the birds sing.'.

Katrana says, 'Are their flowers nearby? Roses?'.
Katrana giggles Wyldly.

You say (in common), 'I am afraid not, Sayyida. It is very very high up in the air.'.
You say (in common), 'There is one mighty tree in the Haon-Dor forest..'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'between the camp of the half elves and the trees of the elves'.
You say (in common), 'someone built a treehouse there'.
You say (in common), 'in the lower branches'.
You say (in common), 'but you can climb yet higher..'.
You say (in common), 'and that is where I go.'.

Katrana sits down and thinks deeply.
Katrana says, 'Are there little birds? And maybe a caterpillar or two?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'yes, Sayyida!'.

Katrana says, 'I remember a treehouse like that when I was younger. Much younger.'.

You say (in common), 'Would You like me to show you?'.

Katrana says, 'I'm afraid the outworld is calling me, but I most definitely would like you to when I return.'.
Katrana says, 'Would you mind showing me then?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Of course, Sayyida'.
You say (in common), 'It would be my pleasure.'.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana smiles happily.
Katrana says, 'It has been a pleasure Sami to talk to you.'.

You say (in common), 'The honor is mine, Sayyida'.

Katrana says, 'Dear one...Should you need me, or just want to speak with me. Reach out to mine.'.

You smile happily.
You say (in common), 'I thank You.'.

Katrana says, 'May I give you a hug dear?'.

Samiyah goes still for a moment, then nods.

Katrana hugs you.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Katrana says, 'You are important, and special.'.
Katrana says, 'Remember that.'.
Katrana says, 'And you are not insane.'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'Sahib says the same words.'.

Katrana smiles happily.

Katrana says, 'Does he?'.

You say (in common), 'He does.'.

You say (in common), 'Well, not the insane part'.
You say (in common), 'for I have not had a chance to talk to Him about that'.

Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'but the special and important, yes.'.

Katrana smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'He hears my prayers, always.'.
You say (in common), 'I will ask Him.'.

Katrana says, 'Does he? '.
Katrana nods.

You say (in common), 'And I thank You.'.

Katrana says, 'There is no reason to thank me dear one.'.

You smile happily.
You say (in common), 'with Your permission?'.
Samiyah gestures upward.

Katrana says, 'nod'.
Katrana unlocks the rune-covered trapdoor.
Katrana opens the rune-covered trapdoor.

Fare thee well!
