12/22/2012: Part I – Threats and Consequences

A Wide Corridor
[Exits: north east south]
This wide corridor is approximately four meters wide, three meters high and
leads north to south. Torches are mounted in sconces along the wall at six
meter intervals and provide an abundance of light to see by. Iron doors with
barred windows stand to the east and west.

You rest.

Someone says, 'nice job on my story dear one'.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.
Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), 'Sahib Fallen One'.

Someone says, 'greetings'.

Someone says, 'so where do we go from here?'.

You say (in common), 'We, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'yes we'.

You say (in common), 'I have done as you demanded.'.

Someone says, 'as I said where do we go from here?'.

You say (in common), 'I do not understand the question, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'we are connected Samiyah so you did as I asked'.

You say (in common), 'I did as you asked, to protect my friends... and because once I start a song, I must finish it, or it spins around in my head.'.

Someone says, 'so now do I leave you or teach you?'.

You say (in common), '.. You leave me. I do not want to learn the lessons of hate and pain you wish to teach.'.

Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'sad part is I can’t'.

You say (in common), 'Can't teach?'.

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Someone says, 'can’t leave'.
Someone says, 'my blood is your blood'.

> frown
What's bothering you?

Someone says, 'and your so called brother wouldn’t even try to protect you'.

You say (in common), 'Of course he would'.
You say (in common), 'he stood at my side and gave me exactly what I needed - comfort.'.

Someone steps out of the shadows.

Gheorghe tells you (in common), 'daedalus on'.

You tell Gheorghe (in common), 'aaack thanks'.

You say (in common), 'pardon, going to safe'.

> quaff shimmering
You quaff a vial of a shimmering elixir.
Recall Room
[Exits: west]
You are in a simple bare white room. In no grandly ornate temple,
nor opulent merchant's office have so many thanks been given as they have
been here. For it is here, if you have the blessings of the gods,
that you have come from either danger, or a perilous long journey.
Raag is here.

Raag bows deeply.

Someone says, ‘I gave him a chance to and he refused'.

You say (in common), 'I don't know what you mean, and I don't know if I believe you even if I did.'.

Someone says, ‘I did'.

You say (in common), 'I am sorry, but you're going to have to explain. I have no idea what you're talking about.'.

Someone says, ‘I went to Cresom and offered him a deal. I would sever all ties to you'.

You say (in common), 'and what did you ask in return?'.

Someone says, ‘I gave him a choice'.
Someone says, 'either his soul'.
Someone says, 'or I will give him a piece of mine'.
Someone says, 'he refused'.

You say (in common), 'Your bargains are not ever what they seem, and not ever truly fair.'.

Someone says, 'it was fair'.
Someone says, 'so what kind of brother refuses to help his sister'.

You say (in common), 'As I said: I do not trust your word that your bargain was fair.'.
You say (in common), 'and I have no blame or upset with Cresom that he would not bargain with you.'.

Someone says, ‘I am a lot of things but I do keep my word'.

You say (in common), 'that may be true, Sahib Fallen One, but I do not know what those terms were'.

You say (in common), 'so until I hear of it from Cresom, I will reserve any opinion.'.

Someone says, 'fine ask him yourself'.

You say (in common), 'I shall, of course.'.
You say (in common), 'but even if what you say is precisely true'.
You say (in common), 'How can I fault for not wanting to GIVE UP their own _soul_ ?!?!'.

Someone says, ‘I offered mine to him'.

You say (in common), 'for what?'.
You say (in common), 'what were the specific terms you offered?'.
You say (in common), 'for you have only been speaking in vaguery with no detail'.

Someone says, 'a small piece of mine to entwine with his'.

You say (in common), '"Oh, please, Mister Paladin -- if you will only take part of my evil soul and entwine it with yours, I will leave your sister alone."'.
Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'that was the deal'.

You say (in common), 'That's not much of a deal.'.
You say (in common), 'He is the iconic symbol of Hutt's righteousness and might. Becoming even a little bit evil does a dishonor to his god.'.
You say (in common), 'I would expect him to refuse. He did right to.'.

Someone says, ‘Belgarion, what does samiyah mean to you?'.

Samiyah indicates the general direction of the voice. 'The Fallen One... making bargains.'

Belgarion says (in common), 'I like Samiyah'.

Someone says, 'what does she mean to you?'.
Someone says, 'tell DarkClaw to come see me'.

Samiyah says crossly, 'I don't worship DarkClaw. I don't worship ANYONE.'

Belgarion says (in common), 'she doesn’t answer summons from the fallen one'.

You say (in common), 'so having an Immortal come and speak to you on my behalf is Just Wrong.'.

Someone says, 'not to speak on my behalf'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'and frankly I can hardly blame her'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Someone says, 'Samiyah you are my pride and joy'.

Belgarion laughs.

> frown
What's bothering you?

Belgarion says (in common), 'your pride and joy'.
Belgarion laughs.

Someone says, 'and to release you someone must give there soul to me'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you impotent godling'.

You say (in common), 'You can keep following me around, then, because I certainly wouldn't have anyone become your snack on my behalf.'.

Belgarion laughs.
Belgarion smiles at you.

The wrath of someone peels the skin off Belgarion.

Belgarion says (in common), 'didn’t work'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'maybe you should have that checked'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Someone tilts his head.
Someone says, 'fine'.

Belgarion grins evilly.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it is what it is'.

Someone rips into Belgarion’s chest stealing half his soul.

Belgarion says (in common), 'didn’t work'.
Belgarion winks suggestively.
Belgarion says (in common), 'see'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'I belong to another'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'my soul is hers'.

Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'not any more mortal'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'think so'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Someone says, 'a mortal more powerful than an immortal'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'well let’s see'.

Someone says, 'must be nice to harness all that power'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'what exactly can you do?'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you are scared to show yourself'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you never do'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'are you afraid of rebuke?'.

Someone says, ‘I fear nothing'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'hmmm'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'well let’s see'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'then I ask you this'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'your talk about being an all-powerful god'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'who follows you?'.

Someone says, 'That’s stupid'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'why'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'just answer the question'.

Someone says, ‘I need followers to be powerful?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'answer the question'.

Someone says, 'some do'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'name one'.

Someone says, 'some in your following do'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'hmm'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'now how would that be'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'they continue to follow Darkclaw'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'so name one'.

Someone says, 'just because they follow her doesn’t mean they believe in her'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'name one'.

Someone says, 'no'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'ahh I see'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'ahh'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'so who are you at war with?'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i have heard nothing of war'.

DarkClaw emerges from a thick layer of mist as it dissipates and seeps into the ground, a soft whisper filling the area.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

DarkClaw says, ‘I didn't PICK anyone. They chose me.'.

Belgarion grins evilly.

DarkClaw smiles at you.
DarkClaw says, 'Hello, Sami.'.

Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'oh Darkclaw still the oblivious one'.

DarkClaw says, 'If you paid as much attention as you want us to think you do, then you'd know that.'.

Someone says, 'they follow who I tell them to'.

DarkClaw says, 'You have no sway on their decisions, Fallen One, and never will.'.
DarkClaw says, 'You need to face that fact.'.

Someone says, 'oh really darkclaw'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'back to me being "dumb"'.

Someone says, 'and I must admit your ordain is stronger than any immortal'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'so far I have asked you very deliberate in my questions'.

Someone says, 'and I answered it'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'no you didn’t'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i said name one and you refused'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'in truth FALLEN one'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'without someone to worship you, you are truly powerless'.

Someone says, ‘I did I will not tell you who my faithful are so they can be outcast from where I want them'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'see and back to fear'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you’re afraid that may happen'.

DarkClaw stands close to Sami in an obvious display of protection.

Someone says, 'oh really then all the follower-less immortals are weak'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'no'.

Someone says, 'fear no'.

You smile at her.

Belgarion says (in common), 'fear yes'.

Someone says, 'smart yes'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'maybe even if you told us it would make no difference'.

Someone says, 'you are truely stupid belgarion'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'keep them where we could watch them'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'no'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'so far I am proving I am much smarter then you'.

Someone says, 'next time you go kill someone Belgarion please by all means tell them you’re coming'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'so show me some awesome power FALLEN one'.

Someone says, 'and your whole battle plan'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'then maybe I will believe you'.

Someone says, 'a show of power fine'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'waiting'.

DarkClaw says, 'He doesn't have any power. If he did he wouldn't have to rely on others' souls.'.

Someone says, 'samiyah I am sorry for what I am sorry for what I must do'.

Samiyah flees.

Hallway
[Exits: north east south west]
This hallway must have been built by giants! It is huge! Then
again, there are more than a few giants that belong to The Guild, so
it may just be so. There are doors to your left, and right leading to
other places in the guild designed to serve the needs of all
adventurers.

DarkClaw gossips, 'Welcome back, Sami. Care to join us?'.

Whisk gossips (in common), 'Hello, bard'.

You gossip (in common), 'Does anyone see either the Fallen One or the Daedalus? '.
You gossip (in common), '(not sure which I am more afraid of..)'.

Belgarion gossips (in common), 'both have left I believe'.

You gossip (in common), '*whew*'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'would you please join us?'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'where?'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'the temple'.

Temple of the Lost
[Exits: west]
Silence...almost deafening in this temple, the darkness all consuming within
the seemingly hollow room. Suddenly, as if triggered by those present, a soft
purple glow spreads from the center of the shrine. As eyes adjust to the
change, the source of the dim lighting is revealed as a glass-shaped eye that
hovers in mid-air above the smooth, marble floor. Smooth all except for a
large, charred, square patch of dirt in front of each of the four walls...odd.
Above, the ceiling is open showing more of the same darkness, not a single
star twinkling among the Heavens. The Eastern wall is completely covered by a
massive shelving unit holding books and old, faded scrolls, making one wonder
as to the history of this place and the Immortal that it belongs to. What
mysteries lie within those readings? A large mural hangs from the Southern
wall, the color so vibrant that it makes the emptiness of the room seem barren
and tragic. The strong feel of magic is noticeable in this temple, but its
threads are chaotic...confused and constantly shifting. Symbolic of the
Immortal that resides here? Perhaps.
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Intense Dark Purple Aura) DarkClaw is here.
Whisk is here.
Cresom is resting here.
Belgarion is resting here.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

Belgarion says (in common), 'thats ok'.

DarkClaw smiles at you.

Belgarion smiles at you.

DarkClaw says, 'Welcome, Sami.'.

Whisk grins evilly at you.

You say (in common), 'Whisk!'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'now'.

Whisk gives you a glass of milk.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

You say (in common), 'how did you get in here?'.
Samiyah looks puzzled.

Whisk says (in common), 'We are waiting for a report back from Scar'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'i summoned him in'.

DarkClaw says, 'He was chasing Scar again.'.
DarkClaw sighs loudly.

Whisk says (in common), 'He went off in search of Seraph'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'who is Scar?'.

Whisk says (in common), 'I will introduce you when he returns'.

You smile happily.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

DarkClaw says, 'You don't know of Scar?'.

You say (in common), 'Er, no... should I?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Perhaps not.'.
DarkClaw says, ‘I thought he was going to eat Whisk for a moment.'.
DarkClaw says, 'Until I scolded him.'.

>shiv
Brrrrrrrrr.

Samiyah looks over at the mighty gnome.

DarkClaw clears her throat and looks to Belgarion.

Samiyah's eyes get big.

Belgarion beams a smile at DarkClaw.
Belgarion says (in common), 'so Sami'.

Samiyah blushes, and checks the position of her veil, to ensure it is modestly in place.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you seen what was going on'.

You say (in common), 'I am sorry I ran away earlier'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'thats fine'.

Whisk smiles at you.

You say (in common), 'I don't know what he was going to do, but it didn't seem wise to let it happen, whatever it was'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you were perfectly safe there I believe'.

Whisk rests.

You say (in common), 'and I'm sorry, Cresom, for whatever threats he leveled against you.'.

Whisk says (in common), 'I must nap momentarily'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'you now have protection'.

DarkClaw says, 'NONE of this is your fault, Sami.'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion nods in recognition to Whisk.

You say (in common), '... I don't, though, Belgarion.'.

Belgarion grins evilly.

You say (in common), 'I do not have the oaths that protect you.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'that’s fine but you see he really is a weak impotent godling'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'he has no followers'.

DarkClaw sighs and runs a hand through her raven locks.

Belgarion says (in common), 'in truth'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'what is a god without followers'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'a voice in the clouds'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'that’s all'.

Samiyah answers softly, 'But he hears MY prayers... and the Elders of the tribe say that he is the god of our people.'

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'are you sure he heard your pray?'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'prayer?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'He knew each and every word I spoke.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'there is no trickery beneath him'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'well, that's certainly true enough.'.

Cresom disappears into the void.

Belgarion says (in common), 'he would do anything it takes to get what he wants'.

DarkClaw says, 'Sami...forgive me for saying this...but a brother and sister are not always required to have the same beliefs. Nor father and mother, etc.'.
DarkClaw says, 'You may be their blood...but they do not own you. Only you should own you.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'whisk are you here?'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'guess not'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

You say (in common), 'he is napping.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Consider Belgarion and Belsambar.'.

Belgarion nods.

DarkClaw says, 'They worship different immortals.'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'they are RELATED?!!?'.

l Belgarion

Your gaze is drawn to this man of average height and build. Something
about him seems...off. He shifts his stance slightly, shoulder-length
hair the rich color of chestnut brushing across his shoulder plates and
falling over one of his eyes. Eyes the color of a glacier reflecting the
blue of the sky above. The heavy mace at his side brushes against his
leg plates, tearing your eyes downward to catch the movement of his hand
as his fingers wrap around the grip. His lips curve into a something akin
to a smile and you glance up again, only to realize it is nothing more than
a sneer of contempt. Your feet instinctively draw you backwards as you feel
a sense of dread, knowing your own DEMISE is soon in coming.
Belgarion leads a charmed life.
Belgarion is in perfect health.

Belgarion is using:
<used as light> (Glowing) a golden orb
<worn on finger> a sophisticated ring
<worn on finger> a blood-red band twined with raven-colored hair
<worn around neck> a golden torque, set with amber
<worn around neck> a golden torque, set with amber
<worn on body> a steel breast plate
<worn on head> a chain mail coif
<worn on legs> a pair of adamantite shin guards
<worn on feet> a pair of steel boots
<worn on hands> a pair of silver gauntlets
<worn on arms> (Battleworn) the deadly spiked armplates of Athena
<worn as shield> (Glowing) a wicked, spiked shield
<worn about body> a leaf mail sash
<worn about waist> a chain mail girth
<worn around wrist> a platinum bracer
<worn around wrist> an iron bracer
<wielded> a burning whip
<worn with pride> a Pin of Mastery
<worn with pride> (Glowing) a black pearl brooch

Belgarion smiles happily.

DarkClaw chuckles, evidently amused.
DarkClaw says, 'They are.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'he’s my uncle'.

You blink.
You blink.
You blink.

Belgarion says (in common), 'didn’t the name make you wonder?'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah blushes, and checks the position of her veil, to ensure it is modestly in place.
You say (in common), 'er, no...'.

Belgarion smiles happily.

DarkClaw says, '(I just said that I need to put that on both of their wiki pages.)'.

Samiyah isn't very quick on the uptake sometimes...

Belgarion says (in common), 'well here’s the thing'.

Cresom has returned from the void.

Belgarion says (in common), 'Seraph has not yet but has mentioned declaring war on Lost'.

DarkClaw beams a smile at Cresom.

Belgarion beams a smile at Cresom.

You hug Cresom.

Cresom says (in common), 'Folks I am sorry I must depart but I will stand by you all esp. against him'.
Cresom says (in common), 'he bothers me '.

Belgarion bows deeply.

You say (in common), 'be well, brother.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Thank you, Cresom.'.

Cresom bows deeply.
Cresom hugs you.

Belgarion says (in common), 'thank you Cresom'.

DarkClaw hugs Cresom.

Cresom hugs DarkClaw.

Cresom sweeps Belgarion into a romantic waltz.
Cresom sweeps Whisk into a romantic waltz.

You giggle.

Cresom leaves west.

DarkClaw laughs.

Belgarion grins evilly.
Belgarion says (in common), 'now'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i must work on some Immortals'.

You say (in common), '(speaking of Cresom : I am trying to find a restring-worthy worn on hands, to memorialize our swearing blood relation)'.

Belgarion points at DarkClaw accusingly.
Belgarion says (in common), 'shes the one for that'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'shes better than I am'.

DarkClaw says, '(Er, what?! You're related to Cresom?!"'.
DarkClaw says, ')'.

You poke her in the ribs.
You giggle.

DarkClaw says, '(I missed something, obviously.)'.

Samiyah turns her left palm over, showing a recently healed wound.

You say (in common), 'Cresom and I swore a blood oath. We are a tribe of two.'.

Belgarion smiles happily.
Belgarion says (in common), 'thats awesome'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'oh oh'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'oh'.
Belgarion giggles.

DarkClaw says, '(Argh, hang on.)'.

Belgarion giggles.
Belgarion says (in common), 'that will help you Sami'.
Belgarion is so excited that he cheers just for the hell of it.

Belgarion says (in common), 'oh my goodness'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'that can help'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i know it can'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you must let me think on this'.

You smile happily.

Belgarion says (in common), '( I should have been a Lawyer'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

DarkClaw blinks, her gaze shooting up to Sami's quickly. "Cresom is a very good relative to have."

DarkClaw says, '(FK interrupted)'.

DarkClaw sits down and thinks deeply.

Samiyah (waves to the FK)

Belgarion says (in common), 'i shall leave you to decide on this'.

DarkClaw says, '(He chuckled and waved back.)'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'i must go out and find people to recruit'.
Belgarion leaves west.

DarkClaw blinks at Belg's departure.
DarkClaw says, 'He is horribly bothered by all of this.'.

Whisk disappears into the void.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'he is a good man.'.

DarkClaw smiles happily.
DarkClaw says, 'He is. Though he's a bit obsessive at times.'.
DarkClaw chuckles, evidently amused.

### [Slim says (in common), 'go ahead speak ur mind']

### [Belgarion says (in common), 'we are having some troubles']

DarkClaw says, ‘I worry not about Seraph.'.
DarkClaw shrugs.
DarkClaw says, ‘I worry for you, yes, and for my scions...but not for myself.'.

Samiyah nods a little, thinking.

DarkClaw says, 'You did the right thing by fleeing earlier.'.

DarkClaw says, 'He knows we love you, so it only makes sense for him to lash out on you.'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

DarkClaw says, 'Perhaps...'.

You say (in common), 'I do not like being a tool used against others.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Indeed. None of us do.'.

DarkClaw tilts her head slightly in thought, "Do you still live among your people, Sami?"

You say (in common), 'Oh, no.'.
You say (in common), 'But I am still OF my people.'.
You say (in common), 'I broke their laws, and was cast out.'.

DarkClaw says, 'You will always be of your people.'.

DarkClaw says, 'Nothing will ever change that.'.

You say (in common), 'My mother spirited me out of the camp before I was put to death.'.

DarkClaw nods.

You say (in common), 'I sang the forbidden songs.'.

DarkClaw whispers, "Perhaps your people are misled in choosing their God."

You say (in common), 'If, as the Elder says, Seraph is their god... well.. they have very bad taste in gods.'.

You say (in common), 'Sayyida.. I must go...'.

DarkClaw nods in recognition to you.

You say (in common), 'but perhaps we can speak more later?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Of course, Sami. Anytime.'.

You smile happily.
Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

12/30/2012 - Hunger

In a Dark Tunnel
[Exits: north west up]
Blackness surrounds you, negating your light after a precious few feet.
You can see nothing and the rest of your senses are working overtime to
compensate, but to no avail. All you can do is grope your way through
and hope you don't get stuck down here having to battle something truly
evil.

Someone steps out the shadows.

Samiyah peers about, unable to see you.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Seraph says, 'please dear one respect is the last thing you have for me'.

Samiyah wraps bands of linen around her wounds.

You say (in common), 'I respect your power.'.
You say (in common), 'I respect your ability to bring harm.'.
You say (in common), 'I do not respect the actions you take'.
You say (in common), 'and I give respect to the office and rank of any who are immortal.'.

Seraph says, ‘I can help with your wounds'.

You say (in common), 'I can tend them.'.

Seraph says, 'what power, what harm? I cannot do anything'.

You say (in common), 'to some, yes. to some, no.'.

Seraph says, 'parlor tricks is all I got'.

You say (in common), 'those protected by the oaths given to their own immortals, no - it seems you cannot break a true vow given.'.

Seraph says, 'everyone can be broken'.

You shudder from the sheer thought of it.

Seraph says, 'just a matter if time'.

Seraph says, 'but I have not come today to talk about that'.

You say (in common), '... what is it that you wish, Sahib?'.

Seraph says, 'we have other things to talk about'.

Samiyah watches you mutely, trying to not flee like the prey she's feeling like.

Seraph shows a sign of weakness he stumbles forward.

Samiyah answers carefully, 'What would that be, Sahib?'

You say (in common), 'are you injured, Sahib?'.

Seraph's armor straps turn to dust as his armor falls to the ground.

Samiyah averts her gaze as your covering lessens.

Seraph's mace crumbles into pieces.

Seraph says, 'we made an agreement dear one and you lived up to it'.

Samiyah tightens the strap of her golden vest, unconsciously remembering your admonishment.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph says, ‘I have not'.

You say (in common), 'I did. Though I sense you did not like it very much.'.

Seraph says, ‘I really enjoyed it'.

(Combat deleted)

You say (in common), '(would you mind if I moved to a quieter spot?)'.

Seraph says, 'please do'.

You make the gesture necessary to invoke your spell.

(travels to...)

Temple
[Exits: east south]
As you enter the Temple, you begin to feel more relaxed. Your worries
begin to melt away as you sense the peacefulness of the room.

A blue shimmering can be seen to the south.

You rest.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'I am pleased that you enjoyed it.'.
You say (in common), 'it took the longest of any work I have done to date.'.

Seraph says, 'it was wonderful'.

You say (in common), 'Golson did not have kind things to say of his time in your service.'.

Seraph says, 'no one does'.
Seraph says, ‘I was a different person then'.

You say (in common), 'The Lord Kerriariadne had many kind things to say of you.'.

Seraph grins weakly.
Seraph says, 'the darklord'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Seraph says, 'my dear one I have come to you today to release you'.

You say (in common), 'I am surprised... but happy that you will keep your bargain.'.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

Seraph says, 'I’m not as evil as you think'.

You say (in common), 'Are you not?'.

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Seraph says, 'if I was I would have made you do what I asked then took everything away from you'.

Samiyah pauses a moment and thinks, then nods. 'That is true enough.'

Seraph says, 'you are'.

You say (in common), 'You could have forced your will upon me.'.
You blink.

Seraph stumbles back.

You say (in common), 'you are saying that I am evil, Sahib?'.

Seraph says, 'you are what you was meant to be'.
Seraph says, 'whatever you choose is your path'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'I do have that freedom, yes.'.

Seraph says, 'you are my blood'.

You say (in common), 'Based on the words of the Elders... I cannot deny that, as much as I may wish to.'.
You say (in common), 'But my bloodline does not define me.'.

Seraph says, 'no it doesn’t'.

You say (in common), '... what is it that you want of me, Sahib Fallen One?'.

Seraph says, 'be happy'.
Seraph falls to his knees.
Seraph screams loudly!
Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

You blink.
You blink.

Samiyah gives a slow sigh of released fear and tension, shivering.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'Sayyida.. the Fallen One... is he... no more?'.

DarkClaw tells you, 'I'm not allowed to tell you that, Sami. *frowns* But...I wouldn't get comfortable quite yet. *sigh*'.

Someone whispers good bye dear one.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'Oh, forgive me, I did not phrase the question well...'.

Samiyah startles, and responds quietly, 'Goodbye, Lord Seraph..'

DarkClaw tells you, 'It's quite alright.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'I meant to ask: Has he discorporated from lack of "Food"... I am unsure if I just received my answer, however..

DarkClaw tells you, 'I believe he watches you more than we both care to wish.'.

DarkClaw tells you, 'But, for now, you needn't worry of him.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'He seemed very very weakened. His armor and weapons, disintegrating. '.

DarkClaw tells you, '*blink* Indeed? What took place?'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'forgive me for saying so - like a vampire who had not fed, and faced the sunlight.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'he released me, and said his good byes'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow, chewing on her lower lip in thought.

DarkClaw tells you, '*furrows her brow in thought* That's...interesting, yet troubling at the same time.'.

Samiyah murmurs a quiet prayer for the repose and peace of the Fallen One's soul.

DarkClaw tells you, 'I worry that he might be attempting to gain your trust and belief by doing what you least expect.'.

You tell DarkClaw (in common), 'That may well be the case... I will be cautious.'.

12/31/12 – Discussing the RP /The Meaning of Strength

By the Temple Altar
[Exits: south]
You are by the temple altar in the northern end of the Temple of Midgaard.
A huge altar made from white polished marble is standing in front of you and
behind it are statues of the Implementors.
(Invis 71) (Intense Dark Purple Aura) [GS] Seraph is resting here.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
You say (in common), 'Sahib Fallen One..'.

Seraph says, 'just wanted to say happy new years to you'.

You smile happily.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'ran dry with the rp didnt know what direction to go'.

You tell Seraph (in common), '(well, with others, there's always going to be some restriction of sort, because they have their own thoughts on rp)'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'with sami, you largely have room to be as horrid as you like, since I've given you that permission.'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'if u got a idea let me know'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'She's currently wondering if his weakness was a ploy for sympathy, or if he really is hurt - '.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'And she's working on - odd as it might sound - a gift for Seraph'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Hoping it might make him change a little.'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'guess only one way to find out right'.

You tell Seraph (in common), '*nodnod* Just waiting to find Nati'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'for if I may ask'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'for the present!'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'i need her help with it.'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'u should post the poem of me on the forums it was very good'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'it's on the wiki already :)'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'but sure, I can put it on the forums as well'.

Seraph smiles happily.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'how far can sami turn?'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'In what sense?'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'as is turning dark'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'it will take a ***LOT*** of work and time to get her evil.'.
You tell Seraph (in common), 'Because her nature is a very pure and innocent one.'.
You tell Seraph (in common), 'Cruelty isn't in her nature'.
You tell Seraph (in common), 'Right _now_ she is a little more vulnerable to despair, as she died today'.
You tell Seraph (in common), 'She's feeling a little alone and sad and discouraged'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'not truly evil but pushing the line'.
Seraph [GS] tells you, 'maybe starting to believe me a little and thinking I’m not so evil'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'It would take someone killing her, or those small steps that are so subtle she doesn't see it as corruption.'.

Seraph nods.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'She did her first spar yesterday, and did horribly'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'well dying not gonna happen'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'so that's something that's on her mind - her own weakness'.

Seraph sits down and thinks deeply.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Dying to PK from anyone wouldn't turn her evil, but would open her to despair and negative feelings'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'and it's that gradual manipulation of negative emotion that is the likely thing that would do it.'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'let me think of a story and ill send it to you'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Okay -- If you want, you can also influence her dreams - send her whatever visions you want her to see, that sort of thing'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'if u have any ideas let me know'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'He actually won a slight victory with her -- she PRAYED her song and he heard it. Just praying it instead of singing was a step.'.

Seraph smiles happily.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'so yes - she's suspicious and yes, she has people warning her constantly'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'so dreams I can send to you in notes and stuff?'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'yes, absolutely'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'what warnings is she getting?'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'oh, to be careful of him, that he's still trying to harm her, harm her friends, not to trust, etc.'.

Seraph laughs.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'well at least people are talking'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'nodnod'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'let me know when you want to go back in char - she definitely has something to say to him.'.

Seraph steps out the shadows struggling to stand.
Seraph says, 'hello dear one'.

Samiyah bites her lip and frowns, looking over at you.

You say (in common), 'What's wrong? Your armor fell off, and you seem hurt. '.
You say (in common), 'I did not think Immortals could be harmed..'.

Seraph tries to summon his throne but it doesn’t rise.
Seraph just kneels on the ground.

Samiyah blinks, but pats the stone nearby.

Seraph says, ‘I have stopped collecting dear one'.

You say (in common), 'Did you taste mine today?'.
You say (in common), 'I fell, earlier...'.

Seraph says, ‘I seen it but sent it back'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You say (in common), 'When you sought it for so long? Why would you do that?'.

Seraph says, 'we all fall dear one its how we rise up after that’s makes us who we are'.
Seraph says, ‘I never wanted to collect you'.

Samiyah lifts her chin obstinately. 'I got my things back myself.'

Seraph smiles weakly at you.
Seraph says, 'see you are strong'.

You say (in common), 'Stronger than I give myself credit sometimes.'.

Seraph says, 'we are blood you have power beyond your wildest dreams'.

Samiyah chuckles at your words. 'I didn't feel very strong sparring with Belgarion.' She looks a bit grumpy.

You say (in common), '... Why DON'T you want to collect me? Is my soul less .. er... fortifying.. than others?'.

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Seraph shakes his head slowly.
Seraph says, 'no yours is truly special'.

You say (in common), 'Is it because I am the only bard of my generation amidst the tribe?'.

Seraph says, 'belgarion is nothing dear one he has seen death more than he has taken'.

You say (in common), 'well, he handily made me flee, several times.'.

You say (in common), 'I wish I was as "nothing" as you say he is... for he puts me to shame.'.

Seraph says, 'fleeing and standing to fight are two different things dear'.

Samiyah sighs with frustration. 'Nearing my Final Ascension, and I still have to run away much of the time.'

Seraph says, 'we all have to'.

You say (in common), 'I want to be STRONG! I want to be able to help friends, those in need..'.
Samiyah kicks at a loose stone on the floor.

Seraph says, 'you do every day'.
Seraph says, 'strength doesn’t come in combat'.

You say (in common), 'but much of this world IS combat'.

Seraph says, 'knowledge is power'.

Samiyah sighs and leans against the wall, glancing over at you.
Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Seraph says, 'you know people you know the realm'.

You say (in common), 'Is there anything else you can feed on, that gives you strength, that doesn't hurt anyone?'.

Seraph says, 'no that’s my punishment'.

You say (in common), 'so you always have to hurt someone to live?'.

Seraph says, 'dear samiyah '.
Seraph says, 'listen to my words'.

Samiyah nods gravely, listening.

Seraph says, 'any fool can pick up a weapon and fight'.
Seraph says, 'any fool can kill someone'.
Seraph says, 'that IS NOT power'.
Seraph says, 'not everyone can walk the realm and learn it'.
Seraph says, 'you can'.
Seraph says, 'your strength is not combat'.

Samiyah falters, 'I have to. I have no one else to show me. I have to learn it myself.'

Seraph says, 'your strength is knowledge'.
Seraph says, ‘I can summon a weapon and kill you where you stand'.

> shiver
Brrrrrrrrr.

Seraph says, 'is that power?'.

Samiyah whispers, 'Yes. Of a sort.'

Seraph says, 'no the power is you can get back up and gather things and atart again'.

You tell Seraph (in common), '(oh - one other little thing you might not realize was a tiny victory for Seraph -- when she said good bye to him last time, she used his NAME.)'.
You tell Seraph (in common), '(when she had always feared to call him by name.)'.

Seraph says, 'that is power'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'I did that today. But it aches, still.' One hand rises to press against her heart.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'i noticed'.

Seraph says, 'but you did it'.
Seraph says, 'that is power'.

Samiyah says softly, 'I had to. No one else knew the way.'

Seraph rises to his feet slowly.
Seraph says, 'see power'.

Samiyah instinctively reaches out with one hand to help, but then withdraws it as you make it to your feet.

Seraph steps back into the shadows.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'Sahib?'.

Seraph says, 'when you need to talk samiyah i'.
Seraph whispers I will be around.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You tell someone (in common), 'take care!'.

01/01/2013: Belgarion’s Plan

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'I am reminding you that you want to talk to me about something'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'oh yes'.
Belgarion tells you (in common), 'heh'.
Belgarion tells you (in common), 'see I told you my memory was bad'.
Belgarion tells you (in common), 'have you had any problems with Seraph lately'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'well, I don't know if I would call it a problem, so much.. we have talked - as recently as yesterday.'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'ahh just heard from a bordie the other day you stood up to him'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'He has decided to stop feeding... and so he is fading away, slowly. Weakened. His armor and weapons fell to dust.'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'hehe'.
Belgarion tells you (in common), 'nods'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'my next step was to talk to Cordir'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'What can she do?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'well'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'me and Cresom have been working on a spell'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it can only be used once'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and once used would never be able to be used again'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but would make Seraph semi mortal'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'its time I brought Seraph to justice'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but if hes fading into memory now then theres no need'.

Belgarion shrugs.
Belgarion says (in common), 'just a though'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'thought'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'I have been thinking about him a great deal.'.

Belgarion nods.

You say (in common), 'Trying to understand him.'.
You say (in common), 'And if - like a vampire, like your Sayyida - he feeds to survive...'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'on souls'.

You say (in common), 'I am trying to see if there is a way he can feed without killing or feed without altering.'.
You say (in common), 'but simply survive.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'well unless something can be done'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it must soon be the other way'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'because we cannot all live like this'.
You say (in common), 'He had the chance to feed on my soul yesterday'.

Belgarion nods.

You say (in common), 'but he released it and sent it back -- when I died..'.

You say (in common), 'he COULD have done me harm, but did not.'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'well from what I have seen and heard about him'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'he is a very tricky one'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), 'are you familiar with the story of the frog and the scorpion?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'i believe he does nothing without there being a benifit to him'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'having said that'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'he released your soul more then likely to gain some trust'.

Samiyah nods, saying, 'I keep it in mind when I deal with him. '

Belgarion says (in common), 'he is a very lonely individual from what I here and I am sure losing his followers did not do his ego well'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'he has made some grave errors in the past'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Belgarion says (in common), 'in those errors he has truly learned nothing'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'maybe he doesnt see those as errors but as someone elses mistakes'.
Belgarion shrugs.

Samiyah nods, looking troubled.

Belgarion says (in common), 'no need to look troubled'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'its just his way'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and when you start to understand this you realize that this is why he is truly powerless'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'maybe I am just talking out me arse'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'I think he is very, very lonely, and does not even realize it.'

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Belgarion says (in common), 'but its what ibelieve'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'well according to writings about hin'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'he knows it'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but chooses to ignore it'.

Samiyah says slowly, 'I can understand his loneliness. I feel it, too, sometimes.'

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but at least youhave friends'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'friends can reduce that loneliness'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Belgarion smiles happily.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and you should be glad you have friends that are more then willing to stand with you'.

You say (in common), 'and a brother - had you heard?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'yes I did'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'Cresom?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Belgarion says (in common), 'thats great'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you couldnt have found a better brother'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if Darkclaw and I get married I was thinking about asking him to stand with me'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah claps her hands rhythmically, then lifts her right hand to cover her veiled mouth, and trills loudly, in the desert style.

Belgarion smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'that would wonderful!'.

Belgarion nods.

Belgarion says (in common), 'we have been talking abit more about it lately'.
Belgarion shrugs.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it may or may not happen'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'seems everytime she gets married for some reason she gets kidnapped'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

Belgarion nods.

You say (in common), 'Kidnapped?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'yes she was telling me about it the other day'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i cannot remember who it was the first time'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'the second time she was kidnapped by Lexie'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'why would Lexie do that?'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'to make sure her new husband would treat her right I guess'.
Belgarion laughs.
Belgarion says (in common), 'it was quite a ransom'.
Belgarion laughs.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'that's not a bad reason, then...'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'since no one has to worry about that with me then there would be other reasons now'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and of course'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'shes an Immortal now'.

You say (in common), 'though, in my tribe, the man is reminded that he can only beat his wife with a stick no wider than his thumb.'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'well at least they keep it small'.

Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i am kidding'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'good thing your not marrying an ogre'.
Belgarion winks suggestively at you.

Samiyah nods gravely.

Belgarion says (in common), 'well back to Seraph for a second'.

You say (in common), 'If I was ever to wed, it would have to be a man of the desert tribes'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'that makes sense'.

You say (in common), 'As I gave oath to my mother.'.

Belgarion nods.
Belgarion says (in common), 'thats important'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if you come up with a way for Seraph to feed without hurting people'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'i will go with it'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'i cannot even consider that'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'but you know my nature'.

You say (in common), 'I am trying... but needless to say, it isn't something he likes to talk about.'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'if someone does bad things to me and those I love I will kill them'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'so I am not the best to deal with this'.
Belgarion chuckles, evidently amused.

You say (in common), 'I understand/'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'but if'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'you come up with nothing'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'then I may have to go back to work on my spell'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and then he will have to face ME!!'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'and that he will never forget'.

Samiyah nods, looking troubled.

Belgarion says (in common), 'now'.
Belgarion says (in common), 'lets get off that subject'.
Belgarion winks suggestively.

Belgarion says (in common), 'did you see my new ring'.

Samiyah smiles and says, 'No! Show me!'

Belgarion is using:

<used as light> (Powerful magic) (Glowing) a golden orb
<worn on finger> (Artifact magic) a blood-red band twined with raven-colored hair

Belgarion smiles happily.
Belgarion says (in common), 'its interesting to say the least'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'not many would understand the meaning behind the hair'.

You say (in common), 'the lock - from the Sayyida?'.

Belgarion smiles happily.
Belgarion nods.

You say (in common), 'it's beautiful'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'i must go do something before I have to go'.

You say (in common), 'Of course'.

You say (in common), 'be well, my friend'.

Belgarion says (in common), 'but it has been great talking to you'.

You smile happily.

Belgarion bows before you.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

[ 9] Seraph: dream
Wed Jan 2 13:02:50 2013
To: samiyah

[ 11] Seraph: dream 2
Thu Jan 3 05:54:08 2013
To: samiyah
out of the darkness, Cron'tor makes his way to the village. the elders spells do not seem to stop this beast from going forward he is cackling looking at all the people running scared, hm fresh meat for me he thunders out. one of the elders bravely steps towards him trying to cast. cron'tor grabs him by the throat silly human thinking you can stop me. just as he is about to kill the elder the sky turns black and a figure crashes to the ground causing it to shake and cron'tor loses his grip and balance, the elder runs for his life away. A winged figure steps out of the shadows and speaks in a demonic voice "leave this place now cron'tor' griping his mace tight bracing for combat
you wake up

[ 14] Seraph: final dream
Thu Jan 3 08:56:42 2013
To: samiyah
cron'tor looks at the winged one standing before him and snorts
a fallen angel even worse a fallen god dare tries to stop me
cron'tor rushes forward taking the winged one to the ground he starts to
deliver heavy blows to the wings ones face his black helm starts
to cave in from the shots he yells out in pain as the helm cuts his face
cron'tor then picks him up over his head slamming him hard to
the ground he starts stomping on his breastplate cracking it
shards of metal cut into the wings ones chest his screams
can be heard for miles. con'tor backs up looking at the fallen one
he growls when I destroy you and this village I will hunt and kill
your blood fallen angel he rears up for one final blow to
the fallen one’s head. the fallen one moves out the way
then swinging his mace he shatters cron'tor arm
the fallen one barley rises to his feet blood pouring out of his wounds
he starts to glow red as every soul collected leaves his body
forming a energy field around him they start to heal his wounds but the damage
to much but he summons every ounce of strength
and hits cron'tor in the head. cron'tor falls in a heap
the fallen one staggers over lifting the limp corpse or con'tor
leaping to the skys far away from the village
end of vision

01/03/2013: Journal Entry

It has been nearly half a year since I took the time to write in my journal. So much has happened since then, I scarcely know where to begin. Growth and friends. A new brother, sworn in blood. Many times of joy. But of late, it is sorrow that weighs me. Twice in two sunrises, I have slipped spirit from flesh, and find myself much weakened. Every Lyrical I have so painstakingly learned is forgotten. And there is still so much to do. Friends oftentimes have the time to talk, but not help. I have struggled much, alone. Yet... not always alone - in a way and for reasons I do not understand.

I would be dishonest if I did not write of the Fallen One. I do not know when I came to his attentions - it seems that he has been watching me for a very long time - he said once that he witnessed my birth. Though why I would be of note to a god, I do not understand. He says I am of his bloodline, as he
is the god of our people. The men of the village do not speak of the rituals that they conduct. They speak only of the Gods: the Hunter, the Shepherd, the Guardian. I do not know which aspect of the Gods he represents. There is much of it I do not understand. Only that he fills me with trepidation. Yet again and again, he says that he is only here to help me.

I am tired - I cannot close my eyes without images of battle appearing. Conflict and home, chaos and destruction. Last night, so much blood and death... and yet, he came, like an avenging angel, and bid the invader gone. Protecting my people, as he says that he has always done. Should I believe my dreams? Or the voice within that says that this is all a trick, as the Sayyida's beloved says - some sorcery to make me trust where trust is not wise. There is the parable of the frog and the scorpion, which runs through
my mind, time and time again. "It is my nature" the scorpion says, as he stings the gullible frog to death. Is it his nature? I do not know.

01/13/2013: The Offering

Near a Low Hedge
[Exits: north]
A wooden bench near the low hedge makes a pleasant spot to while away a few
hours during a stay at the inn. Neat borders of honesty, feverfew,
forget-me-nots, and hardy geraniums brighten this end of the garden. The
garden continues to the north.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.
A nightingale sings sweetly.
A june bug flies crazily in circles.

Someone smiles at you.

Samiyah glances around.

Someone steps out the shadows.

You say (in common), '..hello?'.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

A nightingale leaves north.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

You say (in common), 'Sahib'.

Seraph says, 'hello dear one I have missed you'.

You say (in common), 'Greetings, Fallen One...'.
You say (in common), 'I have not been well, of late.'.
You say (in common), 'forgive my absence.'.

Seraph says, 'no need to forgive it happens'.

> l seraph
Seraph says, ‘I felt you meet death again'.

Samiyah nods, the movement slight. 'I did. I am much weakened as a result.'

Seraph says, 'are you really?'.

You say (in common), 'I have forgotten many songs - lyricals, they call them.'.
You say (in common), 'which helped me a great deal in my travels.'.

Seraph says, 'what you have forgotten will be regained again'.

You say (in common), 'I can no longer evade ghosts, or use magic items, or evade attacks'.
You say (in common), 'it was a very painful loss, and I have regained nothing thus far.'.

Seraph says, 'time dear one time'.

Samiyah sighs quietly, her shoulders slumping. 'It is very hard to stay optimistic.'

Siobhan tells you (in common), 'can you come to mish? I have something for you'.

Seraph reaches out to touch you but stops.

Samiyah tilts her head to one side, watching you.

You tell Siobhan (in common), 'I can - a moment?'.

Siobhan tells you (in common), 'okay'.

Seraph says, 'dear one sometimes we have to be stripped to a shell'.
Seraph says, 'to truly see what we can do'.

You say (in common), 'It just makes me feel sad and alone'.
You say (in common), 'not strong.'.
You say (in common), 'I have been asked to meet Siobhan at Mish - do you mind if I go quickly, then find somewhere quiet to continue talking?'.

Seraph says, 'of course go'.

The Lower Hall
[Exits: north up]
This hallway must have been built by giants! It is huge! Then
again, there are more than a few giants that belong to The Guild, so
it may just be so. A stairway leads up to another hallway above.
A copy of the TFC Daily News lies here.
(Dark Purple Aura) Siobhan is resting here.
Mish Leigh Salvandor will use her contacts to help you... for a price.

You smile at him.

Siobhan gives you a spell score.

You say (in common), 'thank you!'.

You hum a few bars to an improbable song, 'You oughta protection good'.
Ok.

Siobhan says (in common), 'you’re welcome'.

You say (in common), 'protection vs good.'.
You say (in common), 'useful :)'.

Siobhan nods.

You say (in common), 'many thanks'.

Samiyah makes a gesture of thanks, bowing slightly over her clasped, henna-dyed hands.

The Storytelling Amphitheater
[Exits: west]
You are in a small amphitheater. Several rows of curved marble benches
curl comfortably around a raised dais. The high ceiling and polished
stone walls are shaped to reflect the voice of the speaker at the dais,
letting them be heard throughout the room. An open archway to the west
leads out into a small courtyard.

You rest.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'Here, Sahib?'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'be right there'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'I await your leisure'.

Seraph looks around.

Seraph says, 'been a long time since I have been here'.

You say (in common), 'did you fall in battle very often, when you were mortal?'.

Seraph says, 'a few times yes'.

You say (in common), 'how did you keep going?'.

Seraph says, 'my will would not allow me to pity myself and stop'.

Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.
Samiyah admits, 'I am not very brave and sometimes pity myself.'

Seraph says, 'why'.

You say (in common), 'because it is hard being mostly alone.'.

Seraph says, 'you are never alone'.

You say (in common), 'I have friends, yes... but I am used to the comfort of a tribe.'.

Seraph says, 'you are my blood Samiyah'.
Seraph says, ‘I watch over you keep death from keeping you'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

Seraph says, 'just as I watch over your tribe'.
Seraph says, 'our tribe'.

You say (in common), 'They are not my tribe any more - they threw me out. '.
You say (in common), 'I will always be OF the tribe.. but I am not IN the tribe, if that makes sense.'.

Seraph nods.

You say (in common), 'how do you keep death from being the final sleep?'.

Seraph says, 'for you?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph says, ‘I have a deal with death not to take you'.
Seraph says, 'as far as our tribe go I have waited a long, long time for you'.

Samiyah sits quietly, listening intently, her hands clasped in her lap.

Seraph says, 'you dear one will change your tribe you dear one will lead them'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'but the leaders are always the men..'.

Seraph says, 'like I said dear one you will lead'.
Seraph says, 'you are special'.

Samiyah bows her head. 'I do not feel very special. I feel tired and sad and lonely.'

Seraph says, ‘I am with you'.

Samiyah glances up at you quickly, then away, and nods.
Samiyah says softly, 'I know.'

Seraph turns his back towards you.
Seraph says, 'but I suppose my guidance or friendship is not worth it'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'Why do you say that?'.

Seraph says, 'why '.
Seraph turns back towards you.

Seraph says, ‘I have been there when you was created your birth your childhood'.
Seraph says, ‘I have been there when you was starting the arts of being a bard'.
Seraph says, ‘I was there when you had great power as a bard'.
Seraph says, 'and I am here now when you feel weak'.

Samiyah nods. "you have been here."

Seraph says, 'yes you may not agree with my methods of life'.

Seraph says, 'but I protect you from deaths eternal grip as well as your people'.

Seraph says, ‘I am weakend samiyah most of my souls are gone but yet here I stand with you'.

Samiyah ventures, 'You seem stronger than when I saw you last, though...'

Seraph says, 'will'.
Seraph says, 'dear one will power'.

Seraph says, ‘I refuse to stop until the day comes you give up then I will atop'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'so your existence depends on mine?'.

Seraph says, 'cause I choose it to'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.

You say (in common), 'And if I keep falling in battle - does that hurt you?'.

Seraph says, 'you always think I mean harm always looking for a angle'.

Seraph says, 'no cron'tor hurt me'.

Seraph says, 'you think I am evil'.
Seraph says, 'but have I caused you harm?'.

You say (in common), 'you yourself have told me that you are...'.
You say (in common), 'were you lying?'.

Seraph says, 'have I caused you harm?'.

You say (in common), 'Me, directly, no, but you did threaten my friends.'.

Seraph says, ‘I am whatever you think I am'.

Seraph says, 'threats bah I can threaten a cat if I want'.
Seraph says, 'you can threaten people its if you do what you say'.

Samiyah almost smiles, and murmurs, 'Don't threaten cats. I like cats.'

Seraph laughs.

Samiyah looks directly at you and asks very quietly, 'Can you take some of my strength, without taking it all?'

> l seraph

Seraph looks surprised.

Ebony tells you (in minotaur), 'there is a materialistic lyrical somewhere'.

Seraph says, 'yes I can but why?'.

You tell Ebony (in common), 'Thank you for looking!!'.
You tell Ebony (in common), 'that's a very very special one.'.

Ebony tells you (in minotaur), 'pell has it'.

Samiyah says awkwardly, 'Well.. I don't want you to fade, and go. I like.. I like your company.'

You tell Ebony (in common), 'Pell?'.

Ebony tells you (in minotaur), 'yeah dunno who that is'.

You tell Ebony (in common), 'ooh!< I do!'.

Ebony tells you (in minotaur), ':}'.

Seraph smiles at you.
Seraph says, 'very kind of you samiyah but I won’t absorb you '.

Samiyah extends one henna-patterned hand, which trembles a bit.

Seraph reaches out to take your hand his glowing blue.
Seraph stops

Samiyah shivers but keeps her hand extended.

Seraph says, ‘I will tell you what Dear One'.

Seraph says, 'pity emotion you have for yourself'.

Seraph says, 'that is what I will take'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'How can you take just one emotion?'.

Seraph says, 'the soul is made up of different emotions'.

Strad tells you (in common), 'Pell isn't a shoppie, I'll kill and bring to you.'.

You tell Strad (in common), 'Oooh, yay!! Thank you so much! I am in the amphitheatre, talking to Someone.'.

Strad gives you the corpse of Pell.

You cheer enthusiastically at the way things are going.

You thank Strad heartily.

You get the Materialistic Lyrical from the corpse of Pell.

You stop using a small druidwood shield.

You hold the Materialistic Lyrical in your hands.

You study the Materialistic Lyrical to glean its secrets...
You feel less charitable.

Samiyah releases a sigh of relief.

You drop the corpse of Pell.

Samiyah straightens her shoulders and extends her hand again.

Seraph smiles happily.
Seraph says, 'so would you like the pity removed?'.

You say (in common), 'pity for myself, or does it also include pity for others?'.

Seraph says, 'just your self'.

Samiyah pauses, frowns, then asks, '.. but asking you to take it away... isn't that just another act of self-pity?'

Seraph holds out his hand it is glowing blue.

You say (in common), poor me, fix me because I can't?.

Seraph says, 'fix you no make you more aware of yourself'.

You say (in common), 'I want to help you regain some strength, because it's the right thing to do.. not so that it helps me in some way/.'.

Samiyah lays her hand lightly into yours, murmuring, 'I am trusting you.'

Seraph kneels in close to you looking into your eyes.

Seraph gently holds your hand as you start to tingle a blue glow pops into a gem.

Samiyah shifts uncomfortably at the close proximity, but forces herself to remain still, save for a gasp as the gem appears.

Seraph holds the gem in his left hand as part of your souls is transferred.

Samiyah shivers, choking back a soft cry as she feels herself weaken.

Seraph holds the blue gem in the palm of his hand.
Seraph says, 'there it is Dear One'.

Samiyah whispers, 'Does it help you be stronger?'

Seraph says, 'of course'.

Seraph opens his right hand and a black gem appears.

Samiyah slips her hand out of yours, and stumbles back a step to sit down on of the stone benches.

Seraph says, 'here is part of my soul'.

Samiyah shakes her head. 'No. You need your strength - that is why I gave you some of mine!'

Seraph says, 'your soul is stronger'.

Seraph kneels before you his head down showing respect.
Seraph extends his hand with his soul in it.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'umm.'.

Seraph whisper take it dear one you will never feel alone again.

Samiyah swallows hard, indecisive. "I do not wish to offend, Sahib... Seraph... but... I.. "
Samiyah cups her hands around yours, closing your fingers around the gemstone. "I cannot accept."
Samiyah says quietly, 'Keep your strength.'

Seraph stands up and steps back.
Seraph says, 'still don’t trust me I see'.
Seraph absorbs his soul.

Samiyah says softly, "I trusted you enough to give you some of my spirit."

Seraph releases your soul in the air and it circles him.

You say (in common), 'I know you could have taken it all.'.

Seraph nods in recognition to you.
Seraph says, ‘I could'.

Seraph says, 'think my gift over Samiyah'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph steps back into the shadows.

You say (in common), 'I will, Sahib.'.

Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah wraps her arms around herself, shivering slightly.

01/25/2013: Weakness and Vulnerability

Someone walks out of the darkness.

Someone says, 'is it good to see me dear one?'.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

You say (in common), 'Sahib..'.

Seraph says, 'dear one'.

You say (in common), 'I..'.
Samiyah pauses a moment, then admits, "I thought I sensed your presence."

Seraph smiles at you.

Cresom arrives from the east.

> l seraph

Cresom hugs you.

You smile at Cresom.

Cresom hugs you.

You hug him.
You say (in common), 'It is good to see you, Brother.'.

Cresom says (in common), 'i feel the same way'.

Cresom says (in common), 'the bone guy hasn't come around '.
Cresom says (in common), 'which is good'.

You cough.

Cresom says (in common), 'never let him mess with you I am here'.

Samiyah indicates a shimmering darkness in one part of the room.

Seraph grins evilly at Cresom.

You say (in common), 'Please don't call him 'bone guy'... '.

Seraph laughs.

The Pit
[Exits: east up]
This is the room of last resort. If you are weaponless, armorless,
or in need of something you can't afford, this is where you go to
depend on the generosity of others. Veteran adventurers often come
here to unload equipment they can't use, can't sell, or just want to
donate to the less fortunate. Be warned, less scrupulous individuals
have been known to dump cursed equipment here, merely for the pleasure
of seeing the poor suffer. Less than vigilant janitors have left grim
evidence that a choice piece of equipment is occasionally wanted by
more than one person.

A grand staircase leads to the temples above.
A pit for donations dominates the room.
(Invis) (Dark Cyan Aura) Cresom is here.
(Invis 71) (Intense Dark Purple Aura) [GS] Seraph is here.

Seraph says, 'bone guy'.

Cresom says (in common), 'well his seat has bones'.

Seraph laughs.
Seraph says, 'seat'.

Cresom says (in common), 'that’s how me and belgarion talk about him'.

Samiyah says softly, 'Even if you do not like him, The Sahib is still an Immortal... and that is disrespectful.'

Cresom says (in common), 'and for that I am sorry I mean no disrespect '.

Seraph says, 'ahh the evil that wants to be good and the good who wants to be evil'.

You blink.

You say (in common), 'Cresom is good with all his heart. And I am not evil.'.

Seraph says, 'if he was dear one would he travel with a evil'.
Seraph says, 'help a evil'.

Cresom says (in common), 'i help goods in all ways '.
Cresom says (in common), 'goods '.

Samiyah says firmly, 'If he did so, he had his reasons.'

Cresom says (in common), 'it is for the greater good'.

Samiyah repeats herself, quite firmly, 'And I am NOT evil!'

Seraph says, 'helping a evil is for the greater good'.

Cresom says (in common), 'no you’re not'.

Seraph says, 'not you dear one I am talking about DarkClaw’s pet'.

Cresom says (in common), 'sometimes in life you have to do things that you don't like but it is for the best'.

Seraph says, 'things have changed I guess'.

Cresom says (in common), 'alot has changed '.

Seraph says, 'guess so'.

Seraph says, 'respect to their god has changed'.

Samiyah sighs quietly, glancing back and forth between the two men arguing.

Cresom says (in common), 'hutt is behind what I do I don't disrespect him'.
Cresom says (in common), 'i ask'.
Cresom says (in common), 'like I should '.

Seraph says, 'you do what you think is best'.

Seraph plays with a blue gem floating around him.

(Cresom spells up Mars)

Cresom says (in common), 'i am sorry'.
Cresom says (in common), 'i was helping a good by getting ready for a battle '.

Samiyah glances at the gem, but remains silent.

Seraph pulls the gem out the air and holds it in his hand.

Seraph says, 'pretty isnt it cresom'.

Samiyah shivers.

Cresom says (in common), 'for a evil gem I guess'.
Cresom says (in common), 'i have seen better'.

Seraph throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

Cresom says (in common), 'i must leave you sister sorry I will be back'.

Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune on you.

Seraph says, 'really better'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Cresom utters the words, 'safhar'.
The air shimmers as Cresom creates a portal here.

Samiyah says quietly, "I thought what I did would give you strength, not a toy to play with."

Seraph says, 'come find me dear one we will talk'.

Seraph leaves east.

(Samiyah wanders through the guild, looking for Seraph)

You hear a distinct pop as Cresom's portal closes up.

Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.

Cresom makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Cresom draws a funny looking rune in the air.

Samiyah bites her lip. "I'll be back."

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'its peaceful where I am'.

(Samiyah travels to the Deepwood)

A Peaceful Glade in the Deepwood
[Exits: north east south west]
This shady glade is pleasantly quiet and peaceful. You can hear the
gentle sounds of flowing water to the north and east. You feel
at rest here.
The sky is cloudy and a warm southerly breeze blows.
(Invis 71) (Intense Dark Purple Aura) [GS] Seraph is here.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Seraph smiles at you.

> l seraph

Seraph starts to raise his throne but stops.
Seraph throne vanishes.

Seraph says, 'know what this place is dear one'.

Samiyah settles down, her back to one of the slender trees.

You say (in common), 'No, Sahib.. does it have special meaning to you?'.

Seraph says, 'this place is where mystaya and I spent many nights talking'.

Seraph walks to the center of the area and talks a small step to the left.

Samiyah glances around the glade, and says carefully, "It must hold many memories."

Seraph closes his eyes

The sun slowly disappears in the west.

Seraph nods slowly.

Seraph starts speaking softly the vows he took that night.
Seraph stops and opens his eyes.
Seraph says, 'this is where we got married'.

You say (in common), 'You described her as being your weakness... but I could hear in your voice how much you cared for her.'.

Seraph says, ‘I did'.
Seraph says, 'but she was my weakness'.
Seraph says, 'people knew to get to me they hunted her'.

Samiyah says, not without a bit of irony in her voice, "because anyone one cares about, can be used against them?"

Seraph turns and sits in front of you.
Seraph says, 'think of it this way dear one'.

Samiyah looks at you curiously, raising one eyebrow.

Seraph says, 'cresom is your brother right'.

Samiyah turns her right palm over, showing the scar. "Sworn by blood, yes."

Seraph says, 'so you would help and protect him right'.

You say (in common), 'I would, yes.'.

Seraph says, 'so if I was hunting you I would hunt him'.
Seraph says, 'you come out to help I kill you'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'I understand the tactic.'.

Seraph says, 'that’s how she became'.
Seraph says, 'my weakness'.

Samiyah nods in understanding.'

Seraph says, 'you know how you keep me at a distance'.

Samiyah blushes slightly, but nods.

Seraph says, 'that’s how you should keep everyone'.
Seraph says, ‘I will not harm you in any way'.
Seraph says, ‘I will not hold secrets from you'.

You say (in common), 'Caring about others is how you were able to get what you wanted - your song..'.
You say (in common), 'and you are the only one who has ever made such threats...'.

Seraph says, ‘I didn’t really want the song'.

Samiyah asks indignantly, 'What, is there something wrong with the song?'

Seraph says, 'no dear one the song was perfect'.
Seraph says, ‘I enjoyed it very much'.
Seraph says, 'but what I have just taught you about weakness'.
Seraph says, 'do you think I could have done that if you kept people at a distance'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
You say (in common), 'I don't want to live with everyone at a distance.'.
You say (in common), 'I would rather live with an open heart that could be hurt, than one that was closed '.

Seraph nods.

> l seraph

Seraph says, 'if you think I was out to harm you then or now don’t you think I would have done it'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You say (in common), 'Many people told me that you are patient and crafty and it was not the immediate harm I should fear, but the more distant danger.'.
You say (in common), 'But you have brought me no harm. Scared the wits out of me a few times...'.
You say (in common), 'and been harsh when there was no need to be..'.
You say (in common), 'but you have not _hurt_ me.'.

Seraph says, 'if you think real hard dear one there are reasons I was harsh'.

Samiyah says, in a teasing and joking tone, 'Yes, your reasons were to get your way!'

Seraph giggles.
Seraph says, 'oh dear one that was cute'.

You grin wickedly.

Seraph says, 'if I wanted my way I would just take it'.
Seraph says, 'why would I toy with you'.
Seraph says, ‘I protect your people our people'.

Samiyah says carefully, 'There is a parable about the snake and the man who carried it across the river... do you know it?'

Seraph says, 'and it bit him'.

You say (in common), '"It is my nature.."'.

Seraph nods.

You say (in common), 'Many tell me that it is your nature.'.

You say (in common), 'Though you have not bitten me... yet... '.

Seraph says, 'I’m not as evil as people say I am'.

You say (in common), 'I know that you might, if you so choose.'.

Seraph says, 'dear one listen carefully to these words'.

You say (in common), 'I try to walk a careful line, between keeping my heart open, and ... '.
Samiyah falls silent and listens.

Seraph says, ‘I would have not spent my energy creating you to destroy you'.

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You say (in common), 'well, that does make a certain degree of sense... but we do still have some basic philosophical differences as to life and its purpose...'.

Seraph folds his hands together and a soul appears.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

Seraph releases it into the air.

Seraph says, ‘I can also create to dear one'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'was that a child being born? Or was that one that you had taken, that you gave back?'.

Seraph watches it blink away.

Seraph says, 'a life to our people has been given'.

You smile happily.
You say (in common), 'a child is always a blessing.'.

Seraph says, 'but you dear one I worked many, many years on'.
Seraph says, ‘I am you and you are me'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'No, I do not believe that.'.

Seraph says, 'oh you don’t'.
Seraph sits down and thinks deeply.
Seraph says, 'fold your hands together'.

Samiyah blinks but obeys, clasping her hands, fingers interlaced.

Seraph says, 'now think real hard about hmmm a birds soul'.

Samiyah closes her eyes, and pictures a robin. Chunky, with red feathers covering its breast, and eyes ringed in yellow.

Seraph sits back and smiles as a red and yellow soul start to appear.

Samiyah keeps her eyes closed, imagining the bird's pert chirp, and it's impudent hopping about.

Seraph stands up and steps back into the shadows.
Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

Someone whispers we are one Samiyah.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.

Samiyah shivers and adjusts her veil, keenly aware of how long her face was bare.

Seraph smiles at you.

Samiyah's thin shoulders shake as she tries hard not to cry.

Seraph adjusts your veil.
Seraph says, 'wasn’t quite covering your face'.

Samiyah nods, blushing. 'My thanks, Sahib.'

Samiyah leans against the wall, allowing herself to slide down its surface until she sits crosslegged on the floor.

[Exits: north]
You are climbing on the outermost branches of the tree. You can
feel it sway with the slightest breeze.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.

You say (in common), 'well, it's _almost_ like flying, up here in the branches.'.

You say (in common), 'it's quiet and pretty...'.

Seraph says, 'yes it is pretty'.

You say (in common), 'though not entirely safe.'.

You say (in common), 'that's three times today, you held my soul in your hands.'.

Seraph waves his hand and the tree branches form 2 chairs.
Seraph sits in the chair.

Seraph says, 'dear one until you decide you want your soul free I will forever guard it'.

You smile at him.

Seraph scratches his head in thought.

Seraph says, 'what was we last talking about?'.

You say (in common), 'well..'.
You say (in common), 'we talked about my spirit'.
You say (in common), 'and whether or not it was a pretty rock in your pocket or a floating thing in the air'.

You say (in common), '... do you... um..'.
You say (in common), 'when I fall...'.
You say (in common), 'and you hold my spirit safe...'.

Samiyah studies her clasped hands.

You say (in common), 'does that give you strength?'.
You say (in common), 'or only when you .. um... drink? eat? of it..?'.

Seraph says, 'dear one when you fall'.
Seraph says, ‘I go to your soul and gather it into a ball and hold it between my hands'.
Seraph says, ‘I do not touch it or absorb it for if I did it would become tainted with my soul'.
Seraph says, 'and you wish for that not to happen'.
Seraph says, 'so I just hold it'.

Samiyah says softly, 'Oh.'

You say (in common), 'I wish to stay ... me. Not me-and-something-else...'.

Seraph smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'but ... Me. For all my faults and weaknesses..'.

Seraph says, 'oh dear one'.

Samiyah glances at you to see if there is any trace of anger on your face at her continued refusal.

Seraph smiles happily.
Seraph says, 'no anger at all'.

Seraph says, 'if our souls entwined you would still be you I cannot change that no one can'.

Samiyah blinks in surprise, but nods.

> l seraph
Seraph says, 'see dear one if you took part of my soul and I absorbed yours we would be linked'.

Samiyah tilts her head to one side, and asks, 'In what way?'

Seraph says, ‘I would feel your every desire fear love hate'.

> shiv
Brrrrrrrrr.
You say (in common), 'I don't think two people should be that close.'.

Seraph says, 'you would gain my knowledge'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), 'No. Mortals are not meant to know what the Immortals know.'.

Seraph laughs.

You say (in common), 'Sahib, that would be halal.'.
You say (in common), 'Bad. '.

Seraph says, 'no dear you would learn how to craft souls'.

Samiyah frowns, troubled.

Seraph says, 'see you can do it now in a small form'.

You say (in common), 'Such things are not for mortals to know..'.

A red caterpillar arrives from the north.

Seraph says, ‘I was mortal and I knew'.

Samiyah glances about nervously, as if the heavens themselves might open up and strike her down with thunderbolts.

Seraph looks around.
Seraph says, 'why so touchy?'.

You say (in common), 'I don't understand how you can speak so lightly of things that only gods should be able to do..'.
You say (in common), 'such things in mortal hands..'.

> shiv
Brrrrrrrrr.

You say (in common), 'We were not meant to craft souls'.
You say (in common), 'only to safeguard our own....'.

Seraph says, 'ahhh'.
Seraph says, 'see I only learned to craft souls in my later years'.
Seraph says, 'if you could what part of me would you like to see? of my life I mean?'.

You blink.
Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.

You say (in common), 'I am not sure... so much of it was so painful and bloody and chaotic...'.

Seraph says, 'everyone’s is dear one'.

You say (in common), 'You have never told me of any moments of happiness, save for those with your Lady, and those ... well.. it would not be right to see.'.
Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.

Seraph laughs.

You say (in common), '.. were you ever.. just... happy?'.

Seraph sits down and thinks deeply.
Seraph says, 'yes I was and am'.

You blink.
You say (in common), 'Here and now?'.

Seraph says, ‘I was happy the day I created you and i'm happy right now'.

Samiyah smiles a little, ducking her head self-consciously.

Seraph says, 'are you happy?'.

Samiyah says, "Perhaps my little spark.." - she gestures at the glowy bit in the air - " is corrupting you!" A smile curves her lips beneath her veil.

Seraph says, 'maybe so'.

You say (in common), 'You seem stronger, that is for certain...'.
You say (in common), 'no bits of armor falling off you, and no falling down...'.

> l seraph

Seraph nods.
Seraph says, 'in time I will heal fully'.

Seraph says, 'now are you happy?'.

You say (in common), 'Is there anything I can do to speed your healing?'.

Seraph says, 'no I am fine dear one'.

You say (in common), '..I know that some of my friends would be upset to hear me say it, but... the truth is..'.

You say (in common), 'Yes. I feel ... safe. Not alone, when you are near. With Tribe.... and that is a powerful thing that's hard to explain'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'you busy'.

You say (in common), 'to those who are not of the Desert..'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'I am speaking with someone right now, but if it is an emergency, I can stop...?'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'no just a couple scores'.
Belgarion tells you (in common), 'no big deal'.

Seraph says, 'if belgarion needs you dear one go see him'.

You tell Belgarion (in common), 'That would be really lovely - Can I meet you in a bit?'.

You say (in common), 'He has some scores for me'.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'sure'.

You say (in common), 'but nothing urgent'.

Seraph smiles happily.

Belgarion tells you (in common), 'i will be in our temple'.

Seraph says, 'do your friends really know you?'.

You say (in common), 'Mostly, yes'.

Seraph says, 'seems they think they really know me'.

You say (in common), 'They fear that you will hurt me.'.
You say (in common), 'They are protective.'.

Seraph nods slowly.

Seraph says, 'do they protect you from death?'.

You say (in common), 'Sometimes, they travel with me to keep me safe.'.
You say (in common), 'though not often. I usually travel alone.'.

Seraph says, 'do they hold your soul so death cannot collect it?'.

You say (in common), '... they are mortal. Of course they cannot do that.'.

Seraph says, 'they can'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.

You say (in common), 'mortals can't hold souls..'.

Seraph says, 'mortals are strong things they can do so much but just won't take the time to do it'.
Seraph says, ‘I did when I was mortal'.

You say (in common), 'yes, but as a mortal, you were an Angel...'.
You say (in common), 'and that's not entirely .. mortal.. any more.'.

Seraph says, 'a fallen angel'.

Samiyah smiles faintly. 'Me, I'm mortal through and through, common as dirt and sand.'

Seraph says, 'you’re not'.
Seraph says, 'someday you will understand'.

You say (in common), '... my falling thrice today would speak otherwise...'.

Seraph says, 'everyone falls'.

You say (in common), 'mayhaps.'.

Seraph says, 'not many people have seen your face am I correct'.

Samiyah blinks and shakes her head hard.

You say (in common), 'No.'.
You say (in common), 'Belgarion walked into the temple when I was unveiled, speaking to his Lady..'.

Seraph says, ‘I always hated that rule I think.......'.

You say (in common), 'And another woman saw me unveiled today, as did Mars, while he was retrieving my things..'.

Seraph says, 'lady?'.

You say (in common), 'Belgarion walked in as I spoke to the Sayyida DarkClaw. His Lady.'.

Seraph says, 'ahh DarkClaw'.

You say (in common), 'I.. umm.'.
You say (in common), 'I.. umm.'.

Samiyah stammers.

You say (in common), 'I was showing her a desert charm.'.

Seraph nods.

You say (in common), 'Against the evil eye, to protect against darkness.'.
Samiyah blushes, looking at you.

Seraph laughs.
Seraph says, 'yes against me I know'.
Seraph says, 'lucky it didn't work'.

Samiyah blushes, her skin flushing pink above her dark veil.

Seraph laughs.

Samiyah fidgets, embarrassed.

Seraph says, 'when I was mortal I wore a helm i'm sure you heard of it?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Seraph says, 'no one saw my face'.

You say (in common), 'I spoke with the Lord of Darkness and he told me about it.'.

You say (in common), 'Is that why the tribes veil? In your image?'.

Seraph says, 'sounds familiar doesn’t it'.
Seraph says, ‘I worn the helm to hide my eyes I wore it so people couldn't see my expressions'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph removes his helm and places it at his feet.

If Hell itself had a champion, it would look much like the unholy figure

that towers over you. Dressed from head to toe in black plate armor, the
unrelieved sable continues in the inky wings that arch upward. Weapons,
shield, and armor alike bears the evidence of battle - blood dripping in
a steady stream to pool at his feet. Thick shouldered, bearing the signs
of two gods - Kerriariadne and Katrana - worn still around his wrists, a
clearer picture of violence could not be drawn. His multi-hued hair - an
uninteresting brown at the top, fading to a pale white at the ends - has
been braided back, to stay out of his eyes during combat. His eyes seem
unusually dark, shadowed, until he turns his head with an evil laugh, an
unopposed view granted of the burned holes that are all that remains is a
horrifying sight and he laughs at your discomfort. His crossed arms draw
your eye to the holy symbols worn around his wrists: That of Katrana and
Kerriariadne - the gods that shaped him the most strongly. As he returns
your stare, you feel a strange tugging in your chest - a sense of emptiness...
as if, by his presence alone, he could steal that which is precious - your
very essence. With a smirk and a flick of his fingers, he releases his
playful tugging on your spirit... For now.
Seraph is bathed in the essence of charisma.
Seraph is in perfect health.

Seraph face is tanned smooth but there are 2 black holes where his eyes are.

Samiyah looks directly at the empty pits of your eyes, her expression haunted. "Who could do such a thing to a child?"

Seraph says, 'everyday someone gets hurt'.

Samiyah wraps her arms around her thin frame, hugging herself to still the shivers that shudder through her.
Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Seraph says, 'but this is me and I wouldn't go back and change it'.

Someone tells you (in common), 'WHY ARE YOU DYING!?'.

Samiyah gestures at her veil. 'I have worn the veil so long, it is a part of who I am.'

You tell someone (in common), 'Because I am a weak and stupid girl.'.

Seraph says, 'as my helm is to me'.

Someone tells you (in common), ':('.

You tell someone (in common), 'I was trying to do location quests, and couldn't even get to the right spot to set wizmarks. :('.

Someone tells you (in common), 'precisional on a young sahuagin child'.

Seraph wonders what he is talking about.

You tell someone (in common), 'where is that?'.

Someone tells you (in common), ':('.
Someone tells you (in common), 'my guess is tiren's rock'.

You tell someone (in common), '(who is this, btw?)'.

Someone tells you (in common), 'Shilea'.

You tell someone (in common), 'Oh. Hello, Shilea!'.

Someone tells you (in common), ':) hullo!'.

Seraph says, 'you was created in my image'.

Samiyah smiles mischievously, murmuring, 'Well, then someone got some parts wrong...'
Samiyah glances down at herself, then over at you and your towering height and wings.

Seraph throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

Seraph bellows with laughter.

You giggle.

Seraph says, 'oh my excuse me'.

Seraph catches his breath.

Seraph says, 'how about I give you a gift?'.

You say (in common), 'You need not give me any gifts, save that of your company, Sahib.'.
You say (in common), 'You have given me a great gift three times already today, holding my spirit safe.'.
You say (in common), 'what more could I possibly ask?'.

Seraph says, 'do you trust me?'.

You say (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Seraph says, 'stand up'.

Samiyah rises, holding to the trunk of the tree for support.

Seraph says, 'close your eyes'.

Samiyah closes her eyes, then opens them quickly, glancing over at you, then closes them again.

Seraph walks over to you and his wings wrap around your taking all the light away you can feel your veil moved and your hair gently tugged at.

Samiyah cries out, clutching at the air where her veil was, but keeps her eyes clenched shut.

You say (in common), 'Sahib, please... '.

Seraph gently puts your veil back into place his wings unfold about you and he steps back.

Seraph says, ‘I didn't peek dear one hence the darkness'.

Seraph sits back down.

Samiyah smooths the fabric back into place with a shaking hand, her eyes still closed above the draping folds of fabric.

Seraph says, 'open your eyes'.

Samiyah obediently does so.

Seraph puts back on his helm the lock of his brown and braided white hair is gone.

Samiyah blinks, confused.

You say (in common), 'What did you do, Sahib?'.

You say (in common), 'And why have me close my eyes?'.

Seraph says, 'to see if you would run'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), 'I would not run.'.

Seraph creates a mirror out of thin air and shows you his lock of hair braided into yours.

Samiyah gasps, and raises one hand, lightly touching the paler lock entwined with her darker strands.

Seraph says, ‘I covered you with my wings so I would not see your face dear one'.

Samiyah says quietly, 'Thank you, Sahib - for the gift, and for upholding my honor with the darkness as well.'

Seraph smiles at you.

Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

Someone says, 'travel well dear one'.

You say (in common), '.. going so soon?'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah bites her lip, then nods. 'Fare thee well, Sahib.'

Someone says, ‘I must speak with the tribe'.

You blink.

You say (in common), 'about what, Sahib?'.

Outermost Branches
[Exits: north]
You are climbing on the outermost branches of the tree. You can
feel it sway with the slightest breeze.
The sky is cloudy and a warm southerly breeze blows.

Someone leaps to the sky and is gone.

Samiyah again touches the lock of hair entwined in her own, her expression thoughtful.

The drape of a veil modestly conceals all but the eyes of the dusky-skinned
woman who stands before you. Her hair, a dark inky black, is plaited in the
desert fashion, yet one braid stands out: brown, with streaks of white. Her
movements cause the many charms woven into her locks and sewn to her head-
dress to chime musically in a bright chord. While her expression is gentle,
there is a certain weariness about her dark brown eyes that hints that Death
Himself has held her spirit in His hands. Garbed in the flowing linen drapes
that hide the particulars of her figure, marked with the flowing arabesques
of traditional henna-work, she is clearly a child of the Eastern Desert. Yet
she does not have the broken fearfulness that is commonly found in the women
of the Tribes. Instead, she meets your gaze with inquiry and compassion and
a gesture of greeting - fingertips lifted to forehead, lips and heart. Voice
pitched as soft and musical as a nightingale, she speaks:

"Blessings upon you and your house. I am Samiyah bint Rasul. How may I help?"
Samiyah has a special twinkle in her eye.
Samiyah is in perfect health.
