Kenlo's Creation
Note: This log was created on April 28, 2002. Kenlo's player had talked to me about starting a mortal for the first time in quite a long time. He had been intrigued by the Chosen of Fate, and asked if he could join. This is the story of his creation and joining. - Cordir 06:53, 24 May 2012 (MST)

Cordir reaches out to touch the shuddering thread within the Loom.
Cordir bites her lip, tilting her head to one side, watching the Thread.
You ponder the question.
You say, 'He is a small person...'.
You say, 'Gnome or Halfling or Dwarf...'.
Boromir nods.
Cordir watches as the Thread begins to join with others.
Boromir looks at the thread .. idly watching it take form and character.
You nod.
You say, 'There ...'.
You say, 'Yes.'.
Boromir raises an eyebrow.
You say, 'He's growing stronger.'.

You tell Kenlo, '*smiles* Ah, there you are! I sensed your birth in the Pattern and was wondering when you might show up.'.

You tell Kenlo, '*smile* I notice most things... but there was something very unusual about you.'.

Cordir sits at the bench at the loom, so as to be closer to Kenlo's height.

Kenlo points to the Guardian.
The aforementioned spider waves a leg in Kenlo's direction.
Kenlo says (in common), 'ack!'.
You hear a voice in your mind: *Greetings, snackling*
Boromir says (in common), 'he wont eat you '.
Boromir says (in common), 'he may talk like it .. but he wont '.
Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.
Kenlo backs away.....slowly.
One chitinous leg lashes out and THWAPS Boromir. *HE?! I AM NOT MALE!*
Spidery grumblings echo in your mind.
Boromir reaches over and scratches the guardian.
Kenlo keeps backing away....
Boromir makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Boromir grins at the Guardian
Kenlo says (in common), 'Uhm, maybe I should come back another time...'.
Boromir says (in common), 'its ok Kenlo '.
The Guardian turns so the vivid red marks of a black widow are quite visible.
Kenlo says (in common), 'Err...'.
You say, 'Guardian is generally bad tempered.'.
You say, 'But she hasn't eaten anyone yet.'.
Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

You say, 'Despite a variety of threats to do so.'.
You say, 'Besides. She prefers the taste of elf.'.
Boromir says (in common), 'well no ... even tempered .. shes grumpy ALL the time'.

Cordir glances at the spider and some silent communication passes between them.
The spider grumbles, and disappears into the shadows of the webs.

Kenlo walks up to the cauldron.
Kenlo stands on tip-toe.
The flames dance in response to his presence.
Kenlo eventually shakes his head and takes his eyes away from the dancing flames.
Boromir smiles happily.

Kenlo begins to reach out toward the crystal, but draws his hand back.
