11/15/2012: 7:00PM - The Letter

Samiyah wrinkles her brow in thought.
You say (in common), 'Sayyida... I received a puzzling letter'.

DarkClaw says, 'From whom?'.

You say (in common), 'The Soul-Stealer wishes me to write of him.'.
DarkClaw blinks at what you said, seemingly stunned.

DarkClaw says, 'That IS a rather strange request, coming from him.'.

You say (in common), 'I replied that I did not know of him, save for what you have told me'.
You say (in common), 'and that the stealing of souls..'.

You shiver.

You say (in common), 'can you 'look over my shoulder' ?'.

DarkClaw says, 'Are you still waiting for his response?'.

DarkClaw says, 'I will.'.

[ 8] Seraph: poem

Mon Nov 5 10:53:23 2012
To: samiyah
I would like it if you did a bard circle about me I will give you whatever info you need

Seraph Fallen Angel

[ 10] Samiyah: a bardic work

Sun Nov 11 21:43:10 2012
To: seraph
Sahib Seraph:

I am afraid that I know almost nothing about you, other than what
the Sayyida DarkClaw has told me. That little, was a fearsome and
horrible tale -- indeed, she and I spoke once, of me writing a work to warn
the world of your stealing of souls. That is all that I know of you - that you
steal that which is most precious, as a game. I do not think I can
in conscience, sing well of you, if that is your desire

with respect,
Samiyah bint Rasul

DarkClaw says, 'I would bind your soul with ours, but I know that isn't your way.'.

Samiyah smiles but shakes her head.

[ 16] Seraph: poem

Fri Nov 16 16:48:12 2012
To: samiyah
no sing of me the way YOU see me or what darkclaw has spoken
i can fill you in of my back group I think on the forums
someone has written about my past I’ll have to look

11/17/12: 4:00 pm(ish) - The Bargain

Someone grins evilly at you.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

You say (in common), 'Greetings... Someone'.

Someone says, 'so you can’t write a poem about me?'.

You say (in common), 'I have heard no pleasant things of you..'.
You say (in common), 'what I said, was that I could not write a poem of _praise_'.

Someone says, 'well what would be worse? Me taking your soul OR everyone you hold dear'.

You say (in common), 'their souls? or their lives?'.

Someone says, 'souls'.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

You say (in common), 'I think that's the most evil proposition I have ever heard.'.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.

Samiyah looks at you.

Seraph wings fold about his body and he kneels down to look you in the eyes.

Samiyah shivers, but holds her ground... barely.

Seraph runs his finger down your cheek.
Seraph says, 'you are mistaken'.

Samiyah violently pulls away, adjusting her veil to ensure it is properly in place.

Seraph says, 'I’m not looking for praise'.

You say (in common), 'You do NOT have my consent to touch me!'.

Seraph eyes turn black as night.

Seraph says, 'so will you does this for me?'.

Samiyah tries to compose herself, stilling the trembling of her hands by clasping them together.

You say (in common), 'I know that you can be frightening. I know a single act that you do..'.

You say (in common), 'but I do not know enough about you to write of you.'.

You say (in common), 'I will do so.. when I know enough.'.

Seraph says, 'ask away'.

You say (in common), 'but what will you do in return?'.
Samiyah lifts her chin and says proudly, 'my works have value.'

Seraph says, 'promise not to collect your loved ones'.

Samiyah says quietly. 'Is that how you make your bargains? Threats?'

Seraph says, 'I know of your work that’s why I sought you out'.

Seraph says, 'I feel that’s a good deal'.

Seraph says, 'it’s more than I have offered anyone else'.

Samiyah's hand steals up to cup one of the bell-chimes braided into her hair, as if to take comfort from it, and nods abruptly.

You say (in common), 'Very well.'.

You say (in common), 'I will perform a work about you, at my next Bardic Council.'.

You say (in common), 'and between that time and now, I will seek and learn more about you.'.

You say (in common), 'but right _now_...'.
You say (in common), '(ooc: Please forgive me, but I have a limited-time-duration lyrical, and I MUST use it while I can.)'.

Seraph says, 'ooc giver hell :)'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

You say (in common), '(thanks)'.

Seraph says, 'seek me out when you have time'.

You say (in common), 'I will'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'may I ask who said I was a horrible person?'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'that wasn't a quote'.

You tell Seraph (in common), 'it's more the stealing of souls thing is horrible'.

Seraph [GS] tells you, 'ahhh '.

11/18/2012: 3:00 PM - The Fallen One's Tale

Someone says, 'hi'.

Samiyah lays a hand across her chest, modestly lowers her eyes, and curtseys.
You say (in common), 'Hello, Someone'.

Someone says, 'it’s me '.
Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah takes a slow, careful step back, but curtseys once more.

Seraph says, 'so you feel like you’re being forced?'.
Seraph wings fold about his body.

Samiyah says very politely, 'Hello, Fallen One.'

Seraph grins evilly at you.

> l seraph

You see nothing special about him.
Seraph is bathed in the essence of charisma.
Seraph is in perfect health.

Seraph is using:
<worn on finger> (Moderate magic) the splendid jasper ring

<worn with pride> (Artifact magic) (Glowing) (Humming) the Medallion of Godhood

You say (in common), 'Is it true that your eyes were torn out as a mortal?'.
You say (in common), 'I cannot tell, for the shadows around you.'.

Seraph says, 'torn no'.
Seraph says, 'they were burned out'.

You tell Seraph (in common), '((you REALLY need a desc!! *scold*))'.

You say (in common), 'Who did this?'.

Seraph raises his hand and a throne of bones rises from the floor.
Seraph sits on the throne.

Samiyah startles, and takes another step backward, gasping as she hits the wall unexpectedly.

Seraph says, 'when I was a child my parents were killed'.
Seraph says, 'I was about 8 at the time'.
Seraph says, 'I took to the streets of Midgaard doing whatever I could to survive'.
Seraph says, 'I meet up with a man and he took me in, fed me, clothed me'.
Seraph says, 'trained me in combat'.
Seraph says, 'but everything comes with a price'.
Seraph says, 'I worked for him stealing - collecting items for him '.

Samiyah nods slightly, listening.

Seraph says, 'if it wasn’t up to his standards I was beaten and it was never up to his standards'.

Samiyah makes a soft sound of sorrow at the image of a starved, desperate child being beaten.

Seraph says, 'One day he told me to go collect from the weaponsmith so I did'.
Seraph says, 'When I got back I saw him talking with a huge ogre'.
Seraph says, 'I was spotted standing there and was dragged into the room'.
Seraph says, 'They beat me with a chain and whips until I was almost dead'.
Seraph says, 'They heated up an iron fork and came over to me'.
Seraph says, 'He said a person with no eyes has no soul for the eyes are the window to the soul'.
Seraph says, 'and pushed the burning rod into my eyes '.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand, her eyes reflecting the horror she feels.

Seraph says, 'that moment my soul left my body and I was standing before a angel'.
Seraph says, 'He said I feel the hate in you and I will help you'.
Seraph says, 'He breathed life back into my lifeless body '.
Seraph says, 'He also told me how to steal souls for souls kept me alive'.

You say (in common), 'was this the 'Vir' I have read of?'.

Seraph says, 'no'.

Seraph says, 'I was not dead and I was not alive when I came back I was a angel'.
Seraph says, 'the first soul I ever took was Marion'.

Seraph pulls a gem from his robe. It glows bright red.

Samiyah stares wordlessly at the gem, shuddering.

Seraph tosses it to you.

Samiyah squawks and catches it instinctively.

Seraph says, 'meet Marion'.

Samiyah holds it in her hands like she would a dead, rotted thing.

Seraph says, 'he was the one who took me in'.

Tears seep from her eyes, staining her veil.

Seraph says, 'as the years passed I killed and collected souls'.

Samiyah begs softly, her voice shaking, 'Please .. please take it back.'
Samiyah extends her hands.

Seraph says, 'Then the Dark lord took me in under him I learned to harness my hate'.

Seraph opens his hand and the gem returns, absorbing into it.

Samiyah lowers her arms, unconsciously rubbing her hands against the linen of her robe, over and over.

Seraph says, 'Kerri made me a helm so I could see again'.

You say (in common), 'How? Magic?'.

Seraph says, 'I became his Ordained and fought many battles for him spilling blood of the innocent'.

Seraph says, 'he used some of his immortal powers to create it'.

Seraph says, 'don’t mistake my childhood as a tale of sorrow. It is a tale of vengeance'.
Seraph says, 'I am thankful for Marion - he unleashed me'.

Samiyah nod slightly and asks softly, 'What of your vows to Lady Mystaya?

Seraph eyes glow bright red.
Seraph says, 'hmmmm Mystaya'.
Seraph says, 'I loved her but she was my weakness'.

You say (in common), 'do you have children?'.

Seraph says, 'no'.

You say (in common), 'what about your followers?'.

Seraph says, 'After many years of killing and raiding towns my time came to become a god'.
Seraph says, 'When I took my rightful place among the gods I was torn apart'.

You say (in common), 'emotionally or literally?'.

Seraph says, 'Both'.
Seraph says, 'I lost my way to the power. I lost my focus'.
Seraph says, 'The souls I collected shattered within me destroying my mind and body'.

You say (in common), 'so what is the Vir?'.

Seraph says, 'The vir is an illusion'.
Seraph says, 'Something my mind created and took hold'.
Seraph says, 'Once the gods cast me out of the heavens I returned to normal'.

You say (in common), 'so the power of immortality was too much to bear?'.

Seraph says, 'I was not ready'.

Seraph stands up the bone throne crumbles to dust.

You say (in common), 'so if you 'returned to normal'... why do you still steal souls '.

Seraph bends down, looking you dead in the eyes.
Seraph says, 'Because I like to'.
Seraph grins evilly at you.

Samiyah cringes back, her shoulders pressed against the stone wall as if to hide within it.

Seraph says, 'I want chaos and death'.
Seraph says, 'I want to stop as many people as possible from entering the heavens'.

Samiyah asks softly, 'Why? Does it make you feel better?'

Seraph says, 'yes it does'.

Seraph hand glows red. As he holds it close to your face, you can feel your soul slipping away.

Seraph pulls his hand away.

Samiyah reaches up and grabs a small, hand-made charm in her hair, and says quickly, 'Away with you!'

Seraph says, 'see, Samiyah? I can collect anytime'.
Seraph says, 'but I like you'.

You say (in common), 'Why do you want me to write about you?'.

Seraph says, 'why? Because you are skilled'.
Seraph says, 'people listen to you'.

You say (in common), 'Why do you care if people know your story? You hate them all..'.

Seraph says, 'everyone wants to be remembered'.
Seraph says, 'I don't hate you'.
Seraph says, 'that's why I will not take your soul'.

You look at Seraph.
You shiver.

You say (in common), 'Which of my works did you like best?'.
You say (in common), 'so that I understand your preferences better..?'.

Seraph says, 'the wylds'.

You say (in common), 'The Hunter's Call?'.

Seraph nods.

Seraph says, 'You don't like me very much do you?'.

You say (in common), 'I think the soul is the only thing in life that is truly ours'.
You say (in common), 'and that you would steal that, take it..'.
You say (in common), 'I cannot fathom.'.

Seraph says, 'nothing is truly yours'.

You say (in common), 'I do not know _you_.. I do not like what you _DO_'.
You say (in common), 'you choose to be an instrument of pain.'.
You say (in common), 'I don't understand that desire.'.

Seraph says, 'you choose to be a instrument of life threw song'.
Seraph says, 'same difference'.

Samiyah adjusts her veil to hide a smile, and murmurs, 'Though, to Anduin, one is as evil as the other.'

Seraph says, 'there you have my story'.

You say (in common), 'I have a part of it, yes.'.
You say (in common), 'but when I wrote of Sayyida DarkClaw's life.. I did not simply speak to her.'.
You say (in common), 'our own perception is a cracked and warped mirror. we do not see ourselves clearly.'.

Seraph nods.
Seraph says, 'Darkclaw knows me well'.

You say (in common), 'I searched the archives for your words..'.
You say (in common), 'What was your argument with Talyn and Aslan?'.

Seraph says, 'they followed majere and did not deserve to breath life'.

You say (in common), 'Aslan was a Handmaiden of Fate'.
You say (in common), 'Talyn was a Tiger'.

Seraph says, 'talyn killed mystaya so I swore vengeance'.

Seraph says, 'ooc wow hard to remember that far back'.

You say (in common), 'Did you slay his love, in return?'.

You say (in common), '(I have mad research skilz on the tfc site!)'.
You giggle.

Seraph says, 'got to run for a few band prac'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
You wave.

Samiyah says (in common), ‘that I performed only once and never again.’
Samiyah says (in common), ‘for the horror of it was too great.’

Someone says, ‘so fear for your friends’ souls binds you to me?’

Samiyah says (in common), ‘as you said - I seek the light with my songs. The shadows are not home to me.’

Someone says, ‘so you would like me to release you from it?’

Samiyah says (in common), ‘I did not break oath.’
Samiyah says (in common), ‘and I swore to see this done for my next bard council.’

Someone stands up, his wings unfolding from his body.

Samiyah says (in common), ‘3 mobmasteries and 400 lq points from now..’
Samiyah says (in common), ‘Is when I am required to perform.’
Samiyah says, (in common) ‘but I have worked on it daily.’

Someone says, ‘so if I said you don’t have to finish it and everyone would be safe you still would continue?’

Samiyah says (in common), ‘I would, yes..’

Someone floats towards you.

Samiyah says (in common), ‘I cannot purge myself of it until.... ack!’

Someone looks you dead in the eyes.

Samiyah retreats until her back hits the wall.

Someone’s eyes glow red.

Samiyah closes her eyes tightly and turns her head away.

Someone hisses, ‘Look at me!’
Someone says, ‘You MUST know pain, suffering and heart ache to enjoy happiness joy and love.’

Samiyah begins whispering prayers under her breath, the words jumbling together.

Someone says, ‘Pray, dear one, I am listening.’
Someone cackles with glee!
Someone says, ‘I will answer your prayers!’

Samiyah turns back to face you, her eyes huge and frightened over her veil.
Samiyah says (in common), ‘I was praying to the gods of my people! Not to you!’

Someone says, ‘How do you know I am not their god?’
Someone grins at you evilly.
Someone says, ‘Or yourssssss?’

Samiyah presses back against the stone of the wall, hands scrabbling at the surface as if to seek entry and safety in the rock itself.

Someone says, ‘Do not fear me. I will protect you.’

Samiyah's knees give out and she collapses to the floor in a half-faint, whispering prayers.

Someone says, ‘as I protect your people.’

Someone grasps your hand pulling you up to your feet.

Samiyah chokes back a scream of panic.

Someone says, ‘have faith in me and I will guide you.’
Someone takes your hand.

Samiyah whispers, "no.please.no.don't."

Someone lets go of your hand and steps back
Someone glows so brightly the room turns red.

Samiyah shivers, raising her veil to shield her eyes.

Someone says, ‘Go. Go back to your people. Speak to your elders. ASK THEM WHO THEY PRAY TO!’

Samiyah says (in common), ‘I cannot.. on pain of death... return home!’

Someone says, ‘you can return.’

Samiyah says (in common), ‘I was cast out, removed from the tribe... to return is to be stoned to death for being what I am.’

Someone removes an amulet and places it next to your feet.
Someone says, ‘show them that. They will know you will be still cast out…’
Someone says, ‘but that amulet will give you 1 day.’
Someone says, ‘I will return.’
Someone jumps to the sky

Samiyah remains silent, staring at the amulet in horror.
