                          The First Avatar Quest                       
 
Tynian's challenge: Earn, then build, an Avatar. 6 followings won the right 
but only 4 made it to the final phase of the quest. FLIs had until 10 PM on 
4/30/04 to move their creation to any room not safe, private or solitary, 
locked or inaccessible.  At the appointed time, Fate gathered to scour the 
world. Whozone revealed Kat's Avatar was in Jester's Keep. But where? Abe 
led the way inside, followed by Kethran. Once the deadly breathing denizens 
of the upper level were destroyed, the lower floor had to be conquered. The
two slew Night's Jester, only to face him again a moment later as the zone 
repopped. The High Priestess of Jester's Night was none too happy to meet 
the trespassers. Kethran darkened to escape her wrath, and the pair became 
separated. The High Priestess wandered about seeking her target, but in a 
strange twist of Fate, that wrath was unleashed upon Abe, who met her alone 
in an epic display of Cleric power. With the key taken from her corpse, 
the avatar was found. The two fought it thrice: each time it was brought 
to the point of death, the mud crashed and Tagnik'Zur was restored to full. 
With Cordir & Wylin as witnesses, they went on. RigelStar was found, but 
spared. Fonz was uncovered in Mystic Woods with 3 protectors. Kethran lured 
the guards away, and Abe, Straezan and Kaltar slew Athorne's Avatar. Faced 
with the choice of slaying the avatar of an ally or risk loss to an enemy, 
the decision was made. RigelStar fell as Kethran gave his apologies at the 
top of the High Tower of Sorcery. Tynian reviewed their achievements, and 
declared the Chosen of Fate winners of The First Avatar Quest.
