Rangers share some skills with warriors, though not enhanced damage, and some with thieves, like sneak and hide. They also have some fun abilities of their own, like the butcher skill. This allows the ranger to make his own food from the corpses of dead critters. These steaks can also serve as trophies and are often sought after during quests. As fun as the steaks are, however, it is the ability to wield two weapons that is the real claim to fame for rangers. Rather than use metal armor, rangers use their high dexterity to avoid being hit in combat.

Official Information

The Shaman specializes in protection, but they also have a powerful offensive spell which can prove quite deadly if you provoke them. They can regenerate their mana quickly and affect their own senses and raw stats, but they are limited in their fighting abilities. They are also restricted to non-metal armor, one handed weapons, and no shields.

A dwarf, a gnome, an ogre-kin, a minotaur, a giant-kin, an aarakocra or a human can be a Shaman.

Player-Supplied Information

The hallmark spell of Shamans is soul rift. The power of this spell is so great, that even a naked shaman can inflict a great amount of damage on a monster or player. Shamans have several strong area of effect spells, as well as a unique spell that makes them one of the best choices for fighting some of the realm's more fearsome creatures. Shamans are capable of creating bags out of corpses; these bags are similar to the steaks that rangers can create, and are functional in addition to being a nice trophy item. The main weakness of shamans is the lack of a spell for detecting invisible and hidden creatures/players.

The primary stat for shamans is wisdom.
The secondary stat for shamans is intelligence.

Trivia:

The Shaman class was implemented with version 2.0, along with Ranger. The first-ever Shaman was Chant. The first Shaman to reach 30th level was Chug.
