Reformation and Removal

(What's Going On: Cordir had already been reformed - much to her dismay - from the Ebon Hand following, and Thaygar was already a God. But this moment was the time when his Temple would be removed from the upper level of the Temple Area, and thus inaccessible. Already distraught over the stripping of her worship of Thaygar, Cordir tried to capture every last moment she could in the holy place of the Ebon Hand which she served with such faith and devotion. She also wasn’t entirely sure what would happen if the mud rebooted while she was in a room that wouldn’t exist any more, and thought there was a possibility it would make her unplayable. Keller, Tel's Paladin, had been spending a lot of time with the Ebon Bard, and was trying to woo her away from 'the path of evil' that she followed, and from following this course of action. )

Thaygar's Office - [Exits: west]
The stifling heat of the Void hovers in this black room as well. As your eyes adjust to the lightlessness, you believe you can make out cylinders lining the walls. Looking closer, you see that the walls are composed of forty eight glass pods, each filled with an organic fluid. Walking over, you see that the pods hold abominous horrors, mutating and growing, soon to be released into the realm.
Drawing back into the dark core of the office, you see an obsidian disk, hovering unsupported seven feet above the floor - giant waist height. As you strain to look onto this desk, you see some kind of image screen set into the panel. As you approach the disk, it turns and glows. The office roars, loud music pouring down from above. The image screen projects up, into a cylindrical holotube, showing burning cities and dark, triumphant horrors. The music surges, roaring a refrain from Leaether Strip
"...Walking through the broken glass, you know that your feet will bleed
Holding all your secrets back, you know that Evil Speaks..."

l disk
Slowly spinning, the disk bears an inscription along its length.

l inscription
All things can be seen in the Shaft of Night. To glimpse them, gaze into the Shaft

l shaft
Beneath the burning cities in the tube, you can make out a faint glow. Looking closer, you seem to make out faint, flowing runes.

L runes
Index of Scrying, Premiere Page - Material Forms
Citadel Foremost Gallery Jahiliya Jerald N'kai Nyx
Sealer Searcher Seeker Sender Siren Thalos Web

l Citadel
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the Citadel, a ruin of twisted stone, now a breeding ground for dark creatures - the fate of all cities in the Time to Come.

l foremost
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the form of an interesting thief, Foremost. He is perhaps capable of Ascending to Assassinhood ... if molded properly - his dear love Amarou may be the key to his conversion.

L Gallery
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the abode of the paranoid Derro, the Gallery. They hide in fear from an enemy they cannot possibly comprehend - the fate of all races in the Time to Come.

Keller yells 'please come out...you know this isn't going to solve anything.
l jahiliya
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the form of an amusing practitioner of stealth and nature, Jahiliya. The Master's interest in this mortal's progression is curious.

l jerald
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the Soulless, Jerald. He walks and proceeds at the pace of a snail - a pure warrior-cleric devoted to conversion and conversation ... to the point of infinity ..

l n'kai
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the caverns of N'Kai, a monstrous horror of fluid obsidian and bone. Hurricane winds lash about, as writhing horrors await release in the Time to Come.

l nyx
The Shaft of Night flares and its image shifts. Now it shows the form of a dark and stealthy thief, Nyx. He slides into the night fluidly, marking him as one the Master would consider to Ascend, becoming a dark Assassin.

Cordir yells 'I AM NOT LEAVING'.

Keller yells 'What happened to what you said before.. about him leaving you?'.

Cordir yells 'I AM *NOT* LEAVING'.

Keller yells 'Cordir, please...this isn't going to stop them'.

Cordir yells 'And you said you were wrong...'.

Keller yells 'I said I'd been cruel to say it..'.

Cordir yells 'You said.. you said you were wrong, that that wasn't how it was'.

Keller yells 'And I was cruel to say it.. but I wasn't wrong.'.

Cordir yells 'YES YOU WERE YOU WERE WRONG WRONG WRONG'.

Keller yells 'Cordir, would you be arguing with me so vehemently if you didn't believe in your heart maybe I wasn't?'.

Cordir yells '*screams* SHUT UP, KELLER, JUST SHUT UP'.

Thaygar's Temple - [Exits: east west]
You feel as though you have stepped into the infinite Void, ebon oblivion surrounding you in all directions. It is not cool here, however. Instead, the darkness here is the searing calm at the center of Hell. You stand on a circular floor comprised of obsidian panels, suspended in the void.
Six pits form a hexagon on the floor, an altar at their center. Six fires of midnight black flow out of the pits, flaring to the ceiling.
(Red Aura) Flowing from the floor, a misshapen lump of obsidian reaches out like an ebon hand.

Keller yells 'please?'.

look altar
Flowing from the floor, this misshapen lump of obsidian reaches like an ebon hand toward the ceiling. The fingers appear able to close and open, but you can discern no method for making them move.

look hand
A key shaped like an ebon hand waits for Thaygar here.

look flames
Searing blackfire compromises these pillars, powering them and supporting the onyx ceiling above.

look pits
Smooth craters of obsidian two meters across, these depressions light the six eternal flames supporting the ceiling.

look up
A sigil of jet is inlaid into the onyx disc comprising the ceiling. Black veins of jet twist and bend to form the Sigil Odegra, which in the tongue of the Duergar cries: In his Temple on the Lake, the Dark One lies sleeping.

look down
Suspended in the searing Void, a disk of obsidian tiles supports you. The runes etched into it seem to writhe horrificly in your peripheral vision, yet when you look directly at them they stabilize...

look sigil
Hovering in mid-air, a sigil flares here.

look west
A gate has opened in the infinite Void, a transport to some peaceful road, away from this charnel abyss. The gate is open.

look east
An ebon altar lies before you, in the center of six pillars of blackfire. Beyond it, you can make out a magical gate. Past the gate your eyes lose themselves in the endlessness of the Void, dark and pitiless, extending blackly into forever. The gate is open.

look north
Unable to find a reference point, your eyes are hypnotically drawn into gazing at Oblivion; they lose themselves in the black calm of the Void; only with an effort are you able to pull them away.

Cordir screams, "Please don't... please don't take it away.. please please please'.

Keller yells 'Cordir, Madman doesn't care.'.

Emaleth gossips 'take what away? *looks confused*'.

Keller yells 'please don't do this to yourself.'.

Cordir screams, "Please don't take the Temple it's all we have left please please please'.

Keller tells Cordir, "Please come back out, Cordir. Poor Taffron is waiting for you..'.

Cordir tells Keller, "nononononononononononononononononono'.

Keller tells Cordir, "please?'.

Cordir tells Keller brokenly, "no. I'm the last. I'll go with it.'.

Keller tells Cordir softly, "Please don't do this...I want you here, with me, with the rest of the world..'.

Cordir tells Keller, "*shake*"

Keller tells Cordir, "The Ebon Hand is dead.. no matter what you do, it'll die.. please let it die in dignity.'.
