To: all
An Age has ended. The Murderer lies consumed by Wyld Oblivion.
Millenia have passed. The Eye of the Wyrm has closed, then opened.
The Third Age decays. Its corpse is warded by the Weaver still.
Such Death transpired in this One's absence.
The Order is disbanded, the Ebon Hand but an ember.
The Goddess has departed, to walk this Land nevermore.
The City has unwoven, the Grave Marker gone with It.
Such Despair confronts this One's return.
The Lady of Fate ordains the rising of an Ebon shadow.
The Souls of the Damned suffer the burning of the Ebon fires.
The Servants of Death herald the coming of an Ebon era.
Such Portents await in this One's destiny.
The Order has Fallen ... An Ebon Hand rises again.
The Order is dead ... Long live the Ebon Hand!
The Order is ash ... MAY THE EBON HAND SPREAD FOREVER!

When First He tasted the fires of Hell, felt the seed of Insight burn into Him,
this One swore, that night, that He would not turn back.
When First He tasted the gaze of the Three, felt the yawning gulf of eternity,
this One swore, that night, that He would ever obey.
When First He tasted the blood of the Leech, felt the surge of undead strength,
this One swore, that night, that He would not die.
When First He tasted the eye of the Dragon, felt the rush of draconian wisdom,
this One swore, that night, that He would walk in darkness.
When First He tasted the skin of the Demon, felt the power of evil unfurled,
this One swore, that night, to cherish the soul.
When First He tasted the love of a God, felt the gentle flow of darkest Mist,
this One swore, that night, that He would love no other.
When First He tasted the death of His child, felt the soulfire draining to nil,
this One swore, that night, that He would have revenge.
When First He tasted the loss of His wife, felt the scream of unending Sorrow,
this One swore, that night, that He would never cry again.
When First He tasted the ash of the Realm, felt the passage of an Age gone by,
this One swore, that night, that He would embrace Death then and forever. This One swears, by three times three times three,
that these nine moments shall remain His omn, and whatever may transpire,
no mortal nor beast nor God shall take them Him.
This One swears by Himself, and His immortality.
