What He’s Done “Lately”

###Seraph: Entered Game

Seraph: hello

Cordir: ...

###Seraph has lost link.

Cordir: .. take that.

###Seraph: Reconnected

Seraph: bbl

###Seraph: Quit

Cordir: ... good riddance

DarkClaw: Seraph getting on your last nerve again, Cordir?

Cordir: .. if only you knew.
Cordir: He stole the soul of three of the Dead.
Cordir: Then blackmailed me for their return.

DarkClaw: *blinks, both surprised and disgusted* He is clearly pushing things a bit.

Cordir: He took Deamhan, Mireya and Keller.

DarkClaw: WHAT?!

Cordir: That is why Katrana called the Hunt
Cordir: .. and I wanted him distracted so that I could learn how he engems the souls.

DarkClaw: Do you know that he also suggested that Ghazkull leave the Lost Ones and join High Order?

Cordir: I did not.
Cordir: I would be very angry to have one I care about under his control.

DarkClaw: *shakes her head slowly* I just can't believe him.
DarkClaw: It's one thing to defy me, or any other his rank or below....but to toy with YOU?!

Cordir: I think he spent too much time Patternlost
Cordir: he demanded information as his first price
Cordir: then..
Cordir: *quiet rage* ..a kiss for the second.

DarkClaw: *blink* A...kiss. Seraph.

Cordir: *nod* which he promptly insulted
Cordir: and mocked me about the following day.

DarkClaw: He is nothing BUT insult, period.

Cordir: I do not disagree.

DarkClaw: *sighs heavily and regards you with concern* I'm sorry for the pain he's causing you.

Cordir: I -disliked- him before. An irritant. I -despise- him now for tampering with the souls of my loved ones.

DarkClaw: *nods* Justifiably so. Seems he likes to play a bit dangerously.

Ghazkull and the Lady

(Log by Ghazkull)

The Storytelling Amphitheater
[Exits: west]
You are in a small amphitheater. Several rows of curved marble benches
curl comfortably around a raised dais. The high ceiling and polished
stone walls are shaped to reflect the voice of the speaker at the dais,
letting them be heard throughout the room. An open archway to the west
leads out into a small courtyard.

You managed to trample any tracks that were here...

(Intense Dark Purple Aura) DarkClaw is here.
(Intense Light Cyan Aura) Cordir is here.

DarkClaw grins and bares her fangs. Tendrils of fog rise from the ground, twisting their way up and around her form to shroud it from view.

You smile happily.

Cordir says, 'Hello Heartbringer'.

You say (in common), 'Hello, Lady. How are you today?'.

Cordir says, 'Angry. But that is no fault of any here today.'.

You say (in common), 'an Outworld problem?'.

Cordir shakes her head.

You say (in common), 'Ah'.
You say (in common), 'I am angry also, but mine is Outworld related'.
You say (in common), 'Is it anything that I can help with?'.

Cordir does not speak but the image of a winged being filled with malice blazes through your mind.

You wince. Ouch!
You nod.
You say (in common), 'That one.'.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'Well, if I can be of assistance, you know how to find me...'.

You smile happily.

Cordir says, 'Keep far away from that one.'.
Cordir says, 'He has taken to stealing the souls of the dead.'.
Cordir says, 'And holding them hostage.'.

You say (in common), 'I do not go out of my way to put myself in his way'.
You blink.
You say (in common), 'I didn't think that was possible'.

Cordir bites off the words. "Nor did I."

You say (in common), 'forgive me for prying but, someone close to you?'.

Cordir says, '...Deamhan.'.
Cordir says, '... Mireya...'.

You blink.

Cordir says, '..Keller.'.

You gasp in astonishment.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'I.. ah.. I don't know what to say!'.
You say (in common), 'I never knew the souls you name, but I know they had special places in your heart'.
You say (in common), 'and In the Pattern'.

Cordir says, 'Keller was my first husband'.

You nod.

Cordir says, 'Deamhan, my second, and the father of Mireya'.

You say (in common), 'he has them still ransomed?'.

Cordir glares off into the distance, her eyes narrowed and black. "I paid his price"

Ghazkull nods slowly.

You say (in common), 'then they are returned to the Pattern?'.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'then it was worth the price?'.

Cordir closes her eyes a moment then nods.

Ghazkull clears his throat.

You say (in common), 'If I may?'.
You say (in common), 'your anger is at the manipulation?'.

Cordir says, 'Yes.'.

You nod.
You say (in common), 'that I can understand'.
You say (in common), 'Did you hear much of my conversation with Samiyah, here the other night?'.

Cordir says, 'I avoid Seraph and all the fools who give him worship.'.

You say (in common), 'I thought you might have been here for a while, as you mentioned something that we spoke of early in our conversation'.
You say (in common), 'He asked her to ask me if I was happy in the Lost'.

Cordir says, 'I saw that you were speaking with her and left .. returning later to see if you were done'.
Cordir says, 'before I sought my rest. You were not, so I said my blessing and left'.

You nod.
You say (in common), 'ah! that would explain it'.
You say (in common), 'Sami found it interesting that I have two goddesses - in a way.'.
You say (in common), 'Although I am in service to DarkClaw, I remain forever in your service.'.

Cordir smiles slightly and nods.
Cordir smiles happily.
Cordir says, 'Three Goddesses, really'.

You nod.

Cordir says, 'Tamar as Wyrm...'.
Cordir says, 'DarkClaw as Wyld...'.

You say (in common), 'Yourself, as Weaver'.
You say (in common), 'I had never looked at it that way before'.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'indeed, when I returned, had DarkClaw not have returned also, I would have probably gravitated towards your Sister.'.

Cordir says, 'I do not doubt it'.
Cordir says, '.. though I do not think you would have been entirely happy there'.

You say (in common), 'probably not'.
You say (in common), 'I don't think I will truly be happy anywhere in the realm these days'.

Cordir says, '.. I know. And i am sorry of it.'.

You smile
You say (in common), 'it is not your fault'.

Cordir says, 'would you like to see her Refuge?'.

You nod.
You say (in common), 'I would'.

Goodbye

Cordir has transferred you.
A Relaxing Stretch of Sand
[Exits: none]
Mist rises in the warm air. The waterfall splashing in the background
produces a thousand little notes which gradually blend into one soothing
sound. Warm, inviting pink sand lies beneath your feet.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.

No one has been through here recently.

(Intense Light Cyan Aura) Cordir is here.
An ocelot is here, purring contentedly.

Cordir tells you, 'let me know when you are done'.

You tell Cordir (in common), '*nod*'.

> Look Ocelot
A soft and constant rumbling comes from the throat of this small grey
creature. Her fur looks incredibly soft, and the patterns of her spots are
beautiful. She looks contentedly at you with liquid golden eyes.
An ocelot is in perfect health.

You smile at her.
An ocelot smiles at you.

A cascade of water pours down from some unseen source high above, creating a
wall of water which shelters a narrow opening.
The narrow opening is closed.

It's locked.

The sun slowly disappears in the west.

Ghazkull sits at the edge of the sand, staring out at the horizon.

The night has begun.

You ruffle an ocelot's hair playfully.
An ocelot grovels before you.

You snicker softly.

The crashing of waves can be heard in the distance, timeless and full of
power. In this moment, you can see your self.

Oversized ferns grow along the edges of the sand, flanked by tropical trees
which provide a canopy of shade. Multicolored birds call to one another from
the trees, creating a medley of sound which adds to that of the waterfall.

A cascade of water pours down from some unseen source high above.

The sky above is clear, yet tinged with the most incredible colors. Seabirds
soar and dive on the air curents in an exuberant dance of flashing feathers.

Ghazkull's eyes close and he lays back with a smile on his face.

The day has begun.
The sun rises in the east.

>-Some Time Passes-<

Ghazkull wakes and sits up, staring into the water as though looking for answers.

The sun slowly disappears in the west.
The night has begun.

Ghazkull idly reaches for the peridot jewel tucked into a fold in his cloak.
Ghazkull stares at the jewel, tears starting to stream down his face.
Ghazkull whispers, 'Evelyne'
Ghazkull whispers to the jewel, 'Not a day went by, that I didn't think about you'
Ghazkull whispers, 'know that, not a day will go by that you will not be in my thoughts'

The day has begun.
The sun rises in the east.

Ghazkull whispers, 'But, I must let you go, that one who may seek to use you against me, will be found wanting'
Ghazkull whispers, 'I know not if he will, but I cannot take that chance'
Ghazkull searches around for a bit of driftwood.
Ghazkull shrugs, and kneels down, using his hands to dig a small hole in the sandy beach.
Ghazkull carefully places the Peridot at the bottom of the hole, blinking a few times to hold back the tears streaming forth.
Ghazkull stares off into the horizon.
Ghazkull blinks again, his eyes regaining their focus, he moves calmly and carefully, filling the hole in with the small pile of sand he created.

You say (in elven), 'Goodbye, My Love!'.

The night has begun.

You tell Cordir (in elven), '*hoarsely* It is done, please, take me away from here.'.

Cordir has transferred you.
The Storytelling Amphitheater
[Exits: west]
You are in a small amphitheater. Several rows of curved marble benches
curl comfortably around a raised dais. The high ceiling and polished
stone walls are shaped to reflect the voice of the speaker at the dais,
letting them be heard throughout the room. An open archway to the west
leads out into a small courtyard.

You managed to trample any tracks that were here...

(Intense Light Cyan Aura) Cordir is here.

You bow deeply.

Cordir blinks.
Cordir says, 'what is done?'.
Cordir looks at you.
Cordir says, 'what were you doing?'.

You say (in elven), 'Saying Goodbye'.

Cordir cups your face gently in Her hands, Her gaze taking in your sorrow and loss.
Cordir sighs quietly, "Oh Ghazkull... I am so sorry.."

You say (in elven), 'It..'.
You say (in elven), 'It needed to be done'.

Ghazkull says softly, 'Now, she is safe'

Cordir asks softly, "...why? Even if our loves are gone from us they still live in our hearts.."

You say (in elven), 'She does'.
You say (in elven), 'She always will'.
You say (in elven), 'But the jewel... worried me'.
You say (in elven), 'Something Sami said the other night'.

Cordir raises an eyebrow.
Cordir says, 'was she threatening you?'.

You shake your head.
You say (in elven), 'She asked about the jewel while I was recollecting a memory'.
You say (in elven), 'She asked if it carried her Soul, as Seraph carries souls in gems'.
You say (in elven), 'and it got me to thinking.'.

Her jaw tightens in anger as if she had seen first hand evidence of that ability.

You say (in elven), 'Maybe it _did_ contain her soul, at least a part of it. Because I carried it in remembrance of her'.
You say (in elven), 'I will always have my memories of her, as will others.'.

Ghazkull smiles softly.

Cordir nods.

You say (in elven), 'So why carry something that I do not require?'.

Cordir holds out her hand with her lover's token still on it.

You nod.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'I am sorry for the hurt letting that part of her go may have caused.'.

Ghazkull closes his eyes for a moment.
Ghazkull says quietly, 'It has made me hungry'

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'shall I bring you to your home, then?'.

You nod.
You say (in elven), 'If you please.'.

Spiderwebs and sable fires swirl up around you.

Cordir has transferred you.
Temple of the Lost
[Exits: west]
Silence...almost deafening in this temple, the darkness all consuming within
the seemingly hollow room. Suddenly, as if triggered by those present, a soft
purple glow spreads from the center of the shrine. As eyes adjust to the
change, the source of the dim lighting is revealed as a glass-shaped eye that
hovers in mid-air above the smooth, marble floor. Smooth all except for a
large, charred, square patch of dirt in front of each of the four walls...odd.
Above, the ceiling is open showing more of the same darkness, not a single
star twinkling among the Heavens. The Eastern wall is completely covered by a
massive shelving unit holding books and old, faded scrolls, making one wonder
as to the history of this place and the Immortal that it belongs to. What
mysteries lie within those readings? A large mural hangs from the Southern
wall, the color so vibrant that it makes the emptiness of the room seem barren
and tragic. The strong feel of magic is noticeable in this temple, but its
threads are chaotic...confused and constantly shifting. Symbolic of the
Immortal that resides here? Perhaps.
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.
(Intense Light Cyan Aura) Cordir is here.
(Invis 72) (Intense Dark Purple Aura) [GS] DarkClaw is here.

You tell Cordir (in elven), '*whispered* Thank You'.

Cordir tells you, 'always and ever, Heartbringer.'.

Bard and Weaver

(log by Cordir)

The Crest of Took Hill
[Exits: north south up]
A statue of Bandobras Took stands by a small fountain.
(Invis) (Light Red Aura) Aoide, The Past Grand Finder, is here.

> L Aoide
Aoide's black hair is pulled back in a severe knot. The section scarred and bleached white is even more prominent in this arrangement. Her usual bells and hair trinkets are absent. She looks weary and haggard, but her eyes blaze with determination and fury. She has loosed the top of her tunic to proudly display a small indigo scar in the shape of a spider that rests below her collarbone.
Aoide could sell you the Bog and you would thank her.
Aoide is in perfect health.

You say, 'How are you, My Bard?'.

Aoide smiles happily.
Aoide curtseys gracefully.
Aoide says (in common), 'I am..'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have been better'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but I am not unwell'.

Cordir nods slowly. "I see the weight upon you. And its cause."

Aoide looks at her feet and nods slowly.
Aoide says (in common), 'Yes, My Lady'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I know that you understand'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and it is the offense and insult to yourself that fuels my hatred, among other things'.

You say, 'He took a third soul from the grave.'.

Aoide looks up sharply.
Aoide says (in common), 'He did?!'.

You nod.
You say, 'I paid the price he demanded for Deamhan and Keller's return.'.
You say, 'All three have been returned to the Pattern.'.

A blinding flash occurs. When you can see again,
Nevyn is standing before you.
Nevyn leaves north.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'So then.. is the debt paid?'.
Conflicting emotions flash across Aoide's face.

You say, 'Your skill at argument and word-craft won back my daughter’s soul'.
You say, 'and I will not soon forget it.'.

Aoide smiles happily.
Aoide says (in common), 'I was not sure if it was a trick'.
Aoide says (in common), 'but it was my honor'.
Aoide curtseys gracefully.

You say, 'While you Three have hunted, I have watched and learned.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'What could you learn still?'.

You say, 'I needed him distracted. And yes - justice demanded retribution.'.
You say, 'I do not know if Katrana has ended the Hunt - but it has met its purpose for my needs'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Surely you have seen all in one form or another by now!'.

You say, 'How he engems the souls'.
You say, 'trapping them.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Ooooh'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and? Have you discovered it?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'If I may be so bold?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'Because surely they did not come to him willingly!'.
Aoide says (in common), 'He said so, but he is either mistaken or lying'.
Aoide says (in common), '...I think'.

You say, 'He spins all things to suit him.'.
You say, 'Deamhan and Mireya were Patternlost'.
You say, 'Because he and I shifted Time itself to conceive her'.
You say, 'There was a price to be paid and it was paid willingly.'.
You say, 'They were not abandoned and forgotten as he claimed'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'No, I could not imagine so'.

Aoide says (in common), 'As for the Hunt..'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I will speak to Katrana'.
Aoide says (in common), 'the larger part of me wishes it over'.

You nod.
You say, 'I see your heartache.'.
You say, 'I have no sympathy for any child of Seraph but I recognize the pain you have felt in honoring your Geasa.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'though I have not yet succeeded'.
Aoide says (in common), 'not even in making contact with a blade'.

You say, '... speaking of which'.
You say, 'You have a Task of Mastery yet undone.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'Yes, my lady'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have not forgotten'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have long thought I had decided on a Geasa worthy of a Goddess'.

You say, 'You and you alone may craft it.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I was counting on Ink and Vale to fill in gaps around my own'.
Aoide nods.

You say, 'The Wyldling failed as did the Chronomancer.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'Yes'.

You say, 'It falls to you.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'And when it is taken'.
Aoide says (in common), 'will you take two more?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'or have a lone Geasa?'.

Cordir frowns and paces a bit.

You say, 'I am bound by the Trial but dislike the aberration from tradition.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Perhaps you could ask the Lady Wyldess?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'or choose one yourself?'.

You nod.
You say, 'I will think on it.'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'Thank you.'.
Aoide says (in common), 'When you have decided, I will be ready'.

You say, 'I would honor Ink's efforts in his first trial'.
You say, 'but fear his sense of mischief would get the best of him'.

Aoide laughs.
Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps they would'.
Aoide says (in common), 'maybe he can propose something informally'.
Aoide says (in common), '..should you choose to take on 2 more'.

You nod.
You say, 'Three is best'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Yes'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have been looking over your oaths of the past'.

You say, 'There will be three. I do not kno...oh. Yes. There. '.

Aoide says (in common), 'but most no longer apply'.
Aoide raises an eyebrow.

Cordir nods to herself.

You say, 'Katrana and Wish.'.
You say, 'Wyld and becoming/transforming Wyrm'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'Yes'.
Aoide says (in common), 'especially now in his current role'.
Aoide says (in common), 'Would it be appropriate for me to discuss it with them ahead of time?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'after you have asked and they have consented?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I am not familiar with how one goes about giving oaths to a Goddess'.
Aoide looks down at her feet, blushing.

You say, 'did you know he had asked for a Trial of Triat Mastery?'.
You say, 'Despite not believing in the Triat'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Wish?'.

You nod.

Nevyn arrives from the north.
Nevyn says, 'I've been looking for you!'.
Nevyn gives Aoide a skill score.
Aoide says (in common), 'He would have been a worthy initiate'.
Aoide says (in common), '..if he believed'.

Nevyn is sucked towards the vortex, then disappears in a blinding flash.

Aoide hums several notes to a song you didn't know existed.
Aoide says (in common), 'a common score!'.
Aoide says (in common), 'my lucky day'.

A blinding flash occurs. When you can see again,
Taliesin is standing before you.
Taliesin leaves north.

Taliesin tells you (in common), '*bow*'.

You nod.
You say, 'Nevyn has a poor sense of humor'.

You tell Taliesin, 'come here'.

Taliesin arrives from the north.
Taliesin smiles timidly.

Aoide beams a smile at Taliesin.

Taliesin bows before you.
Taliesin bows before Aoide.

You say, 'Take note of this one, My Bard'.

Taliesin grins happily.

Aoide looks at Taliesin.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have seen him'.

You say, 'I expect interesting things.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'he seems to be growing well'.

You nod.
You say, 'Hunt well little one'.

Aoide says (in common), 'though his lord might not like me to pay *too* much attention'.
Aoide says (in common), 'things as they are and all'.

Taliesin smiles happily.
Taliesin thanks you heartily.
Taliesin waves happily.
Taliesin leaves north.

Cordir murmurs something *frightfully* rude about his Lord.

Aoide snickers softly.

You say, 'The price I paid..'.
Cordir's voice turns sharp.

You say, 'was a kiss, while he held my husband's soul in his hands.'.

Aoide gasps in astonishment.
Aoide says (in common), 'Oh my'.
Aoide says (in common), 'that was quite insolent of him'.
Aoide says (in common), 'to make such a demand'.

You say, 'He wanted power and humiliation'.

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in common), 'it seems so, yes'.

### Taliesin has advanced to level 15.

Kandan gossips (in common), 'Gratz'.

Taliesin gossips (in common), 'thank you :)'.

You gossip, 'Well done, Taliesin'.

Taliesin gossips (in common), '*bow* Thanks'.

DarkClaw gossips, 'Grats, Taliesin.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I will go now and finish completing my thoughts for your Geasa'.
Aoide says (in common), 'and I will speak with the Lady Wyldess when I see her next'.
Aoide says (in common), 'thank you for letting me know they are all well and safe'.
Aoide says (in common), 'I have been concerned'.
