02/12/13: Blasphemy

Wish arrives from the east.
Wish bows before you.
Wish smiles happily.

Samiyah touches her forehead, lips and heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Strad has entered the game.

Wish gives Samiyah a high five with his 6th tentacle.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Sahib! Greetings!'.

Strad bows before Wish.

Wish says, 'greeting Poet of the Sands!'.

Fzoul says (in common), 'able to use wands?'.

Samiyah shudders slightly as the tentacle approaches but does not return the gesture, her expression puzzled.

Samiyah says (in common), 'me?'.

Fzoul nods.

Samiyah says (in common), 'yea'.

Fzoul gives you a black dragon's fang.

Wish says, 'are you alarmed by my appendages, Samiyah?'.

Someone bows deeply.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes.'.

Wish's tentacles undulate seductively.

Samiyah says (in common), 'and I dont touch peop... acck!'.

Fzoul looks at Samiyah.

Samiyah tells Fzoul (in common), 'thank you very much!!'.
Samiyah tells Fzoul (in common), 'thank you!!'.

Fzoul grins happily.

Samiyah tells Fzoul (in common), 'sorry typo'd'.

A low grating sound can be heard as the crystal tooth suckers on the tentacles scrape along the wall of the pit.

Fzoul comforts you.

Samiyah hops back away from the aforementioned tentacles.

Wish says, 'There is no reason to be alarmed. '.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Shepherd protect us!'.

Wish says, 'I am harmless...mostly.'.

Fzoul says (in common), 'most shepherd prolly can’t swim'.
Fzoul says (in common), 'so not much help there'.

Wish nods in recognition to Fzoul.

Samiyah takes another step slowly away, her expression less alarmed but still cautious.

Wish says, 'Samiyah, why do you not touch people?'.
Wish says, 'may I inquire?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'It is halal.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'against the laws and traditions of my tribe.'.

Wish says, 'i am confused...my understanding is that the definition of "halal" is "permissible"'.
Wish says, 'do you mean to say it is not halal?'.

Samiyah frowns. What’s bothering her?

Wish tells Samiyah, ‘ooc in arabic "haraam" is the word that means not permissible'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'My elders use that word to describe that which is wrong'.

Wish says, 'i see'.
Wish says, 'Who are you elders, might I ask?'.

Wish says, 'I am unfamiliar with your tribe'.

Samiyah tells Wish (in common), 'well shit, that’s what I get for trusting online translation pages'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'of the desert..'.

Wish tells Samiyah, ‘heh...i won’t tell if you won’t'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Abdul Malik..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Abdul Hakim...'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'and ..'.
Samiyah shudders in horror.

Fzoul says (in common), 'Karim Abdul?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'abdul Salam'.

Wish frowns at what Fzoul did.
Wish says, 'well, i am sure your elders are (were?) very wise'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'We are taught to trust their wisdom but...'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'The Sahib says that not all they teach is His will'.

Wish says, 'may I ask...are they also forbidden to touch others?'.

Samiyah sits down and thinks deeply.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I have never seen them do so'.

Wish nods.
Wish says, 'i see..and who exactly is "The Sahib?"'.
Wish says, '?'.
Wish says, 'am I "Sahib" as well?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You are a Sahib.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'He is The Sahib.'.

Wish says, 'he being Seraph?'.

Samiyah touches her forehead, lips and heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
Samiyah nods.

Wish says, 'what makes him "The" Sahib?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'That is complicated. Partly because I was raised not to speak His name. And others also advised me not to do so. And partly because one should not be overly familiar with Immortals'.

Wish says, 'but do you worship him? '.
Wish says, 'as many mortals worship other immortals?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'that too is a complex thing. He is The Sahib - the trine god of my people. The Shepherd, the Teacher and the Guardian. So... in a sense... but...'.

Samiyah shivers.
Samiyah says (in common), 'He is also the Destroyer. The Fallen One'.

Wish says, 'i see...so your people do not believe in one true God? One true Creator?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'The highest god of all - Tynian - of course'.

Wish laughs.

Samiyah says (in common), 'The pantheon is a complex and terrifying thing'.

Wish says, 'well, many believe Tynian to be the one true god, but of course they are all mistaken...including Tynian'.

Ghazkull arrives from the east.

Samiyah gasps in astonishment.
Samiyah faints dead away.

Wish says, 'Tynian, as great and powerful as he is, is only the tool of the true One God.'.

Ghazkull looks quizzically at Samiyah.

Wish says, 'as are we all'.
Wish says, 'Lord Nash, praise be, is the One True God.'.

Ghazkull mutters the words 'Nash' under his breath and leaves while nodding to himself.
Ghazkull leaves east.

Samiyah says (in common), 'BLASPHEMER!!'.
Samiyah points at Wish accusingly.

Wish says, 'not at all. Speaking the truth is never blasphemy as you must admit'.

Samiyah covers her ears and begins speaking prayers to the Teacher.

Wish says, 'Living in ignorance is always a choice and certainly more painless than seeking out the truth or less painful, whichever way you wish to describe it'.

Samiyah continues her prayers steadfastly ignoring the blasphemer.

Wish smiles at you.
Wish shrugs.

Wish says, 'Samiyah, I command you to face me and listen. Call me Blasphemer as you will, but to ignore me is impolite.'.

Samiyah obediently removes her hands from her ears and faces the Immortal.

Wish says, 'I only share with you my beliefs. You may choose to believe otherwise.'.

Samiyah nods.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I believe otherwise, Sahib.'.

Wish says, 'finally, before I go'.
Wish says, 'Remember this well:'.

Samiyah listens, as commanded.

Wish says, 'Have your elders not led you astray before?'.
Wish says, 'That is a rhetorical question.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I do not know what the truth of it is.'.

Wish says, 'I have enjoyed our discussion, and I do hope it was not distressful to you.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'It was, yes - distressing.'.

Wish says, 'You must seek out your own truth, Samiyah.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Do you command it, Sahib?'.

Wish says, 'I do not. All such things must be your choice. To seek or not seek the truth. To believe or not to believe. These are things no one should ever command of another. Blind obedience is the ultimate in tyranny. I must go'.
Wish bows before you.
Wish waves happily.

Samiyah shivers. Brrrrrrrrr.
Samiyah says (in common), 'good bye Sahib'.

Wish has left the game.

02/12/13: Revelations

Someone tells Samiyah, ‘shhhhhhh'.

Samiyah prays, 'Hello Sahib.'.

Someone tells Samiyah, ‘hello dear one'.

Seraph has granted you the ability to see him when he is invis.

Samiyah prays, 'I hope that You are well today.'.

Seraph nods.
Seraph says, 'how are you?'.

Samiyah sits down and thinks deeply.

Samiyah says (in common), 'working hard of late'.

Seraph nods in recognition to you.

Samiyah prays, 'I did very well in the Immortal quest'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘oh'.

Samiyah prays, 'and i am working on gathering the gold to leave Midgaard'.
Samiyah prays, 'I am halfway there'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘why would you want to leave Midgaard?'.

Samiyah prays, 'well, it is a dangerous place and living on the frontier would save time and travel over water'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘so you want the easy path?'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I.... did not see it that way, Sahib...'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘ok let me ask this is that the smart move?'.

Samiyah prays, 'moving to the Frontier is logistically expedient'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘then you do what you think is best'.

Samiyah prays, 'You seem disappointed.'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘not at all'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘I just want you to choose it because you want to not because people tell you to'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'oh. no one told me to!'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘then it's your choice '.

Seraph smiles at you.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I just go there a lot so it seemed to make sense'.

Seraph nods in recognition to you.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘when I have time and the greater gods have spoken with me we have to talk'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I am always at Your service, Sahib'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘that will be seen'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Sahib..?'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘it seems you serve all the gods'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I don't understand...'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘I will tell you something and speak of it to no one'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Your words command me, Sahib. I will be silent.'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘if the gods let me take my rightful place among them I will be casting a blue aura'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), '.....'.

Samiyah sits down abruptly in dumbfounded shock.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘but in doing so there will be war there will be blood death and chaos'.

Samiyah blinks.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘until I make this realm safe'.

Samiyah shivers. Brrrrrrrrr.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘you have to have all those things to have peace'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘do you understand?'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), '*softly* Your Will, Sahib.'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘you have to fight for something you believe in'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘what if I didn't, when Cron'tor attacked'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘our people would be dead. So I had to fight'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'But have you not told me my strength is not battle?'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘you are right'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘if you come to me if the gods allow it you will not fight in the war'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘you have a different purpose'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Will You speak of it, Sahib?'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘your purpose is to scout the lands learn them well so you can show other followers where to go eq to get'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘do you understand?'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I understand, Sahib.'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘if you choose not to come to me, well, that is your choice also'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'in the tribe they are called Pathfinders'.

Seraph nods in recognition to you.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘that’s if the gods let me rise back in my rightful spot'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Why would they refuse You, Sahib?'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘many reasons'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘which I cannot explain'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘so like I said speak of it to no one not even DarkClaw'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), ‘I will obey, Sahib'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘take time to think about my offer to you'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Why did you say that I serve all the gods?'.

Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘because you do'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘you go to DarkClaw for guidance. Their word is your law'.
Seraph tells Samiyah, ‘good bye Samiyah'.

Samiyah tells Seraph (in common), 'Forgive me Sahib but he word is NOT my law!'.

Seraph has removed your ability to see him when he is invis.

02/12/13: Misunderstandings

Someone tells Samiyah, ‘hello samiyah'.

Samiyah wakes and stands up.
Samiyah tells someone (in common), 'Greetings... Sahib?'.

Someone steps out of the shadows.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Someone says, 'how are you this fine evening?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I am working hard on earning gold.'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah says (in common), 'but it has been a mostly uneventful and quiet evening.'.

Someone says, 'such a shame'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I was speaking with Ink earlier about facilitating a merchantile arrangement..'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I am not sure what will come of it.. but we shall see.'.

Samiyah smiles secretively.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You are displeased that the evening has been quiet?'.

Someone says, 'no I am not displeased'.

Someone says, 'what are you trying to get?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'a gift for You, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'a gift?'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Samiyah says (in common), 'yes, Sahib.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'But I dare not speak of it, lest I jinx the bargain.'.

Someone sits down and thinks deeply.
Someone says, 'now I wonder what kinda gift'.
Someone smiles happily.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Earlier in the day, Sahib Squishy Wish was asking me many questions..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'It made me very uncomfortable.'.

Someone says, 'how so?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'He commanded me to turn and face him and listen to all that he said.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'For what he had been speaking was blasphemy'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'so I turned away and covered my ears.'.

Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'what was he saying?'.

Samiyah says indignantly, 'He called the Highest Sahib, Tynian, a .. a.. "tool" of Some Nash Person!'
Samiyah spits at such blasphemy.

Someone says, 'wish has been brain washed by many who believe in the nash faith'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'well, he wrongly claims it is all truth.'.

Someone says, 'let him believe what he wants it causes no harm to anyone'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'he asked me questions of You'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and my beliefs'.

Someone says, 'oh'.
Someone folds his hands behind his back.
Someone says, 'and what was he asking?'.

Samiyah answers quietly, 'Whether or not I worship you.'

Someone says, 'ahhh'.
Someone says, 'did you tell him you worship all the gods?'.

Samiyah's brow furrows as she frowns, looking troubled.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I did not.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'That would not be true.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I told him I was raised to believe in the Three - as - One ..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'the Shepherd, the Teacher and the Guardian'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah says (in common), 'He asked me the names of the Elders..'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'and'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'He tried to touch me with one of his tentacles, but I jumped away.'.

Samiyah shivers. Brrrrrrrrr.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and told him such things were not right.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'my hand, to clarify'.
Samiyah turns up her palm.

Samiyah says hesitantly, 'Hello?'

Someone looks at your hand.
Someone says, 'what would you like me to do?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I was showing You where he tried to touch me.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'he waved a tentacle at my hand. I don't understand why.'.
You shrug.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'strange'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'It is beyond my mortal means to understand the thoughts of Immortals.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'he asked if he was a Sahib'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and I said that as an Immortal, he was..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and he asked why You are The Sahib and he is "a" Sahib'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and then that got into the worshipping discussion.'.

Someone laughs.

Samiyah says (in common), 'It was a confusing discussion.'.

Someone says, 'tell him the truth'.
Someone says, 'you worship no one'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I said that it was complicated.'.

Someone says, 'you believe what was taught to you'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I believe in the Teacher, the Defender and the Shepherd.'.

Someone says, 'but you have the power to believe in something else'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'That ... may yet be seen.'.

Someone says, 'you do'.
Someone says, 'you don’t have to believe what the tribe does'.

Samiyah says (in common), '... is what the Tribe teaches wrong?'.

Someone says, 'it’s what they believe'.

Wish shouts, 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!'.

Someone says, 'but you don’t have to follow their faith'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'and as You remind me often, that is my home...'.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!'.
Vidal shouts (in common), 'ALL HAIL THE ARCH-LICH OF THE BLACK CONCLAVE!'.

Nero shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!!'.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE THE SPECTRE LORD!!!'.
Vidal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE THE PHANTOM!!!'.

Strad has entered the game.

Vidal shouts (in common), 'and the cuddlefish?'.

Samiyah claps her hands over her ears.

You smile at him.
Strad smiles at you.

Strad waves happily.
Strad leaves east.

Someone says, 'it is your home yes that is true'.
Someone says, 'but you don’t live there anymore'.

Strad arrives from the east.
Strad says (in common), 'hate being fined for over - randoms.'.
Strad chuckles, evidently amused.

Samiyah asks carefully, 'Sahib... are You displeased with me? You have been abrupt of late, saying strange things, and do not grant me sight..'

Strad feels like he's interrupting.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Strad leaves.
Strad bows deeply.
Strad leaves east.

Someone says, 'displeased with you no'.

Samiyah fidgets, toying with the fringed edge of one long end of her veil.

Someone says, 'displeased with the elders yes'.

Samiyah bows in sheer relief.
Samiyah murmurs, 'Thank You, Sahib.'

Someone says, 'no need to thank me samiyah'.
Someone smiles happily.

Room of Records
[Exits: east]
This simple room has many plaques hung on its walls. With just a quick
glance you recognize names and events that have made history and inspired
many to even greater deeds so that their names would also be inscribed
here. It's possible, given valiant effort, great deeds, and a (in)famous
reputation, that your name might be added here.

A book on a lectern provides an index to all the different plaques.

You make the gesture necessary to invoke your spell.
You rest.

Someone says, 'welcome back'.

Samiyah makes a gesture of thanks, bowing slightly over her clasped, henna-dyed hands.

Someone says, 'you know samiyah after all our talks hour after hour I still don’t think'.
Someone says, 'you fully understand'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Understand what, Sahib?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'There is much You have said over that span that I do not comprehend, but I always listen.'.

Someone says, 'that you have the power of choice'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'There are certain things I could do... yes... but I made an oath to my Mother that I would not..'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I would have to break my sworn word, and that I would not do lightly.'.

Someone says, 'she is your mother yes but her best interest was not you'.

Samiyah covers her mouth with one hand as she gasps in surprise.
Samiyah says (in common), 'How could You say such a thing, Sahib?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'She is my _mother_... she saved me..'.

Someone says, 'perhaps'.
Someone says, 'ask her how she got you out alive some time'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I remember it... mostly..'.
Someone moves his hands inside of his armor.

Samiyah says (in common), 'She woke me - I had fallen asleep by the altar, I think..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and she cut a slit in the back of the tent, so that we could slip out'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and before the sun rose, she led me out of the camp and through the dunes '.

Someone nods.

Samiyah says (in common), 'to where the sands shimmer and dance from a magical wind'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'she gave me her blessing, she asked for my oath, and then she went and concealed our tracks'.

Someone says, 'and what was her oath you swore to'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'To swear no oath to a man not of the tribes, or to any of the Gods-Who-Walk.'.

Someone starts saying your mothers oath.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Someone says, 'now why would she do that?'.

Samiyah says automatically, 'To protect me.'

Someone says, 'how is that protecting you?'.

Samiyah blinks slowly, thinking about it for the first time.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Well... because I am from the tribes, a man not of the tribes would not understand my culture, or upbringing..'.

Nero shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!!'.
Wish shouts, 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'and Because she knew that the Gods Who Walk can be false, and decietful, and I should trust in the Three.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'or blasphemers, such as the Sahib Wish.'.

Someone says, 'all good points'.
Someone says, 'but'.
Someone says, 'marry no man outside the tribe knowing you will not return'.
Someone says, 'could also mean she doesn’t want you to change so you will depend on her'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'How could I be depending on her, Sahib -- I have not seen her in many, many years..'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I have been alone and on my own for all of that time, with only myself to depend upon.'.

Samiyah allows, 'Some friends, yes -- good friends --- Aoide, and Eathor, and Shilea, and Tes...'

Samiyah says (in common), 'And my sworn-brother, Cresom..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'But I do not have Tribe, or following. Just myself.'.

Someone says, 'you are right I stand corrected'.

Samiyah says humbly, 'I was not attempting correction, Sahib. I was disagreeing..'

Someone smiles happily.
Someone says, 'I know'.
Someone smiles at you.

Some tension leaves her shoulders at Your smile.
Samiyah says haltingly, 'I do not know if my own mother would recognize me now.'

Someone says, 'no matter who stands before you, you must always stand up for what you believe in'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'she will'.

Samiyah gestures at the dark aura around her body, and stammers, 'I use the spells of a vampire, sucking the life out of my opponents.'

Someone says, 'for what reason?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'It was the spell that came most easily to me. I tried learning the bolts of lightening, and the magic stones..'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'but they were not strong.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'but when I cast the vampire touch...'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'it was very strong. powerful.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'so I studied it... and I am very good at it now.'.

Samiyah admits, 'but sometimes it feels ...wrong.'

Someone says, 'traits of Darkclaw'.

Samiyah looks in the direction of your voice. 'I learned it, Sahib, after the first time you drew on my soul.'
Samiyah says (in common), 'when you did so to scare me.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I thought perhaps I could use to steal it back, if you took my spirit.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I do not bite people.'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'I said traits'.

Samiyah says hesitantly, 'It .. heals me... when I use it.'
Samiyah says (in common), 'The way that souls make You feel better.'.

Someone says, 'that is true'.

Samiyah gestures at the inky aura around her. 'They are like Your shadows.'

Someone says, 'close'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Though I cannot vanish into them.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Sometimes I wish that I could.'.

Someone runs his hand across the inky aura.

Samiyah wraps her arms around her thin frame, hugging herself to still the shivers that shudder through her.

Samiyah says (in common), 'that.. felt...'.
Samiyah says (in common), '..strange.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'can You feel the aura?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and if so - what does it feel like?'.

Someone nods in recognition to you.
Someone sits down and thinks deeply.
Someone says, 'know how it feels when lightning brightens the sky and everything gets charged'.

Samiyah nods brightly.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'like that'.

Samiyah blinks.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Truly, sahib?'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah runs her fingers through the aura around her, feeling none of those things.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Does it carry my spirit in it? Or is that just within me?'.

Samiyah taps her breastbone.

Someone points to your breastplate.

Samiyah says (in common), 'so the electric feeling is not me. it is this magic aura?'.

Samiyah looks a touch disappointed.

Someone says, 'no deep within you'.

Samiyah says humbly, 'Forgive me, Sahib. I do not understand.'

Samiyah says (in common), 'You said that was how the aura felt... not mine, yes?'.

Samiyah looks confused.

Someone says, 'the feeling is deep within you'.

Someone runs his hand through the aura and forming a ball with it.
(NOTE: TOTALLY missed this emote on Seraph's part, causing a big misunderstanding.)

Samiyah says (in common), 'So that's what my spirit feels like? Lightning storms?'.

Someone says, 'does it?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I don't know.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I can't sense it.'.

Someone plays with the ball.

Samiyah shivers. Brrrrrrrrr.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I feel _that_..'.
Samiyah blushes, ducking her head and concealing her face in one of the layers of her veil.

Someone stops playing with the ball.
Someone says, 'that?'.

Samiyah nods briefly. 'Yes, Sahib.'

Someone holds the ball out to you.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You do not need it or want it any more, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'its just a toy to me'.

Samiyah looks like she's been slapped.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I understand, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'but touch it if you want'.

You stand up.

Opening a portal to Beside a Small Pond.
Beside a Small Pond
[Exits: east south west]
Stunted trees, most likely scrub pines, shelter this small lake,
creating an environment of peace and tranquility. A fallen log
has been deliberately placed alongside the lake's edge - a very
convenient bench upon which to sit and gaze out over the water.
The remains of a campfire are evident within a circle of stones,
evidence of food preparation.
The sky is cloudy and a cold northern gust blows.
A spindly, unstable-looking drying rack has been built from sticks and grass.
A small earthenware jug brimming with water stands here.

Someone says, 'you miss understand me'.

Samiyah tells someone (in common), 'did I,, Sahib?'.

You sleep.

Someone tells Samiyah, ‘yes'.
Someone tells Samiyah, ‘your soul piece I treasure the inky aura is a toy to me'.

Samiyah tells someone (in common), 'You offered me my soul and said it was a toy, Sahib.'.

Someone says, 'no'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I am not a toy.'.
Samiyah clenches her fists angrily, trembling.

Someone runs his hand through the inky aura.
Someone says, 'this is not your soul'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'No, Sahib. It is shadow. It is .. it is someone.. something.. else's.'.

Someone pulls the blue gem out the air.
Someone says, 'this is your soul'.

Samiyah nods, the movement causing her veil-charms to chime.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I know, Sahib.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and you held it out and called it a toy.'.

Someone says, 'the inky aura is what I made the toy out of not your soul'.

Someone puts the blue gem back around his head.

Samiyah says (in common), '.. that is not what it seemed You said. If I misunderstood, I apologize.'.

Someone says, 'no need to'.

Samiyah takes a few deep breaths, the release of which flutters the linen of her veil.

Someone says, 'my head is swimming with thoughts of the elders'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.

Samiyah says (in common), '.. Do they pray loudly, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'they have messed my laws up'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You have said that, but not explained what they taught wrongly.'.

Someone says, 'and the shaman seems lost'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'He is not one who believes he is on the wrong path. About anything.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'or was, when I was there.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'It has been a long time.'.

Someone says, 'law 1 - no one shows weakness'.
Someone says, 'law 2 - everyone with the spirit will lead'.
Someone says, 'law 3 - all will protect each other'.
Someone says, 'law 4 - anyone who breaks the laws will be outcast'.

Samiyah recites quietly, 'Unclean flesh has no place in the tribe - that which is unclean shall be cast out.'
Samiyah recites quietly, 'That which is sacred comes from the Three. All else is forbidden.'

Someone says, 'no'.

Samiyah recites quietly, 'The duties of men are to defend and to speak. The duties of women to tend, and to be silent.'

Someone says, 'no'.
Someone says, 'all with the spirit will lead'.
Someone says, 'be it man or woman'.

Samiyah recites, 'The codes require modesty. Touch before vow is forbidden. That which is revealed is reviled.'

Someone says, 'maybe I should leave the tribe and let them tend to themselves'.
Someone folds his hands behind his back seeming lost in thought.

Samiyah ventures 'If the shaman is the problem... Perhaps he should be replaced?'

Someone says, 'it seems my words have not been taken seriously and they do what they wish'.

Someone runs his hand along his weapon.

Samiyah shivers. Brrrrrrrrr.

The slightest whisper of a smile crosses her face as she murmurs, 'You can be confusing some times, Sahib.' but at your gesture, it disappears.

Someone's fingers gently touch the hilt seeming lost in thought.

Samiyah asks quietly, 'What are You thinking, Sahib?'

Someone says, 'what do you think should happen, Samiyah'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'I think if Your Elder is not speaking Your truth, then he should be replaced.'.

Someone says, 'for they do not respect me or my word'.
Someone says, 'and how should I replace him?'.
Someone walks around slowly looking at you.

Samiyah goes still, feeling a bit like a mouse watched by a hawk.

Samiyah says (in common), '... retire him?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Raise up someone else in the tribe?'.

Someone says, 'how so?'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Tell him he is not Your shaman anymore and he should go tend goats...'.

Someone says, 'I could do that yes'.
Someone says, 'and what if he seeks vengeance for it then what'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'How can he avenge himself against a God, Sahib?'.

Someone says, 'people try it all the time'.
Someone laughs.
Someone says, 'some dogs can’t be contained'.

Samiyah says softly, 'And they fail.'

Someone nods.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Belgarion is blinded - his eyes harmed, in echo of yours...'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'and I am glad of it.'.

Someone grins evilly.
Someone says, 'and what if this elder seeks to hurt others'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'then... then he would be Outcast by the other two Elders, would he not?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Just as I was.'.

Someone says, 'you can go back'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'You keep saying that...'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'but he will not allow it.'.

Someone says, 'who could stop you'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'The shaman. the elders. They would turn me away.'.

Someone says, 'but could they stop you'.

Samiyah blinks.
Samiyah says (in common), 'do You mean.. by .. by force, Sahib?'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah stammers, 'I would not force .. I would not... '

Someone says, 'think of this for a moment'.
Someone says, 'what would you do if we outcast him and he seeks revenge by taking your mother'.

Samiyah goes pale and sits down abruptly.

Samiyah says (in common), taking'... Sahib? As a husband takes a wife? or .. taking her life?'.

Someone says, 'revenge'.

Samiyah whispers, 'If I knew with certainty that Elder Salam harmed my mother, hurt her...'
Samiyah rises abruptly and paces.

The inky aura around her intensifies.
Samiyah says (in common), 'I would HURT him.'.

Someone says, 'so still think we should out cast him?'.

Samiyah turns towards your voice with empty eyes. 'Are You saying he should be slain, not Outcast?'

Someone says, 'what do you think we should do'.

Samiyah clenches her fists, holding them to either side of her head, as if it hurts. 'I DO NOT KNOW!!'

Someone says, 'do we outcast him and hope he doesn’t seek vengeance'.
Someone says, 'or take his soul and make sure he doesn’t'.

Samiyah looks up, an expression of agony on her face. "How can we punish for something that someone has not yet DONE, but simply MIGHT do?"

Samiyah paces around the outskirts of the small pond, her booted feet kicking up puffs of dust.

Someone says, 'not everything is an easy choice'.

Samiyah whispers, 'No, Sahib.'

Samiyah stops pacing, glancing this way and that, having lost sense of where You stand. "When You battled for Your Lord, Kerri.."

Samiyah says (in common), 'Did You slay only those who had harmed Darkness?'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'or any that crossed Your path?'.

Someone says, 'I slew people that harmed us'.
Someone says, 'and people that could be threats'.

Samiyah says (in common), '...'Could be' ?'.
Samiyah says (in common), '.. but weren't?'.

Someone nods.
Someone says, 'most helped people against us'.
Someone says, 'they never harmed is personally but aided people in hurting us'.

Samiyah says faintly, 'I would hate to have to make that choice.'
Samiyah sits abruptly on the log by the pool.

Someone says, 'you do what you have to, to protect your kin'.

Samiyah whispers, 'If my mother was slain, I would burn Salam's tent down around his ears with him inside.'

Someone says, 'so why give him the chance?'.

Samiyah breaks her long silence. "because he hasn't broken the laws yet."

Someone says, 'he changed my laws for his own greed'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes. Then punish him for that.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Punish him for what he has DONE.'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Not what he MIGHT do..'.

Someone says, 'then that’s what I will do'.

Samiyah hides her face in her hands. 'It is what is fair and just.'

Someone says, 'then that is our choice'.
Someone says, 'your choice'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'Sahib, it is not my choice to make.'.

Samiyah says (in common), 'He broke Your laws. He wronged You... to me, he... he...'.

Samiyah gets an odd look on her face.

Samiyah says (in common), '...He ...'.

Someone says, 'I asked you for a choice and you made it'.

Samiyah closes her eyes and whispers, 'He outcast me by his own laws and not Yours.'

Samiyah says (in common), 'Is that what You have been trying to tell me all along?!'.

Someone nods.

Samiyah slides off the log and onto the ground, hiding her face in her hands as she weeps.

Someone says, 'law 1'.

Samiyah cries as if her heart has broken - wrenching sobs that make her whole body shake.

Someone puts his hand on your shoulder.

Samiyah tilts her head so that her veiled cheek rests against your wrist and arm as she weeps.

Someone says, 'take your time dear one'.

Samiyah looks up at you emptily. 'He had no right. He took away my home. Made me alone for all those years.'

Samiyah says (in common), '.. but You have said I would not have grown strong, if I had stayed...'.
Samiyah says (in common), 'so was it by Your will that he did it? Was it for the better, somehow?'.

Someone says, 'my will? No. When that happened I was a sleep with the gods'.

Samiyah wipes her eyes with the end of her veil, miserable.
Samiyah whispers, 'He had no right.'

Someone says, 'but it was for the better'.

Samiyah bows her head slightly, murmuring, 'Your will, Sahib.'

Someone says, 'no not my will... yours'.
Someone says, 'you survived you grew stronger'.
Someone says, 'if you stayed you would have lost your gift'.
Someone says, 'I will ask you one more time and I want YOU and only you to think about it'.
Someone says, 'what should we do with him'.
Someone says, 'I will return for your answer'.

Samiyah touches her hand to her forehead, her lips, and her heart in a tribal gesture of respect.
Samiyah says (in common), 'Yes, Sahib.'.

Someone wings fold about you as if they was hugging you

Samiyah closes her eyes and breathes in the scent and feel of your wings around her.

Someone then turns and walks into the shadows.
