Notes: To find a possible solution to a RP problem, Cordir's memories of specific events were shattered by the Mind Blank spell (this, being the second time it was cast upon her, the first time being by Molo, when she was a young mortal mage). The individual memories and hopes were cast about the realm, in the spots that had born witness to those events best forgotten.

  • Memories of Mysterra Falls - found by Eathor
  • Memories of The Baths - found by Aoide
  • Memories of the Temple of Lord Nash - held by a tiny black spider
  • Memories of the Tower of the Nashite Magi - found by Isolas
  • Memories of the Sanctuary of Fate/Cordir's Garden - held by The Guardian Spider
  • Memories of the Peaceful Glade of the Deepwood - held by the Unicorn of the Deepwood

EATHOR: Memories of Mysterra Falls

Isolas ftells, '(in a chilling whisper), Eathor...'.

Eathor says (in common), 'And what might that be, Sir?'.

Isolas says, 'I believe you have a part of Cordir's memory'.

Eathor & Cordir:

Eathor says (in common), 'On another topic: I was asked about some memories today, and I passed along what I had.'.

Cordir says, 'indeed?'.

Eathor nods.

Cordir says, 'and who asked you?'.

Eathor says (in common), 'The Phantom....'.

Cordir shivers.
Cordir says, 'I...'.
Cordir looks distressed, withdrawing slightly.
Eathor sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir says, 'I need to go.'.

Cordir raises her hand in a graceful gesture of summoning.
An ebon light appears, and expands into a shadowy web-like Pattern.
Cordir slips into the Pattern.
The Pattern fades into wisps of darkness, scattered about the chamber.

On a Rotting Pillar
[Exits: up down]
Being the only way to reach the beach below, you decide to climb down
the sturdiest looking pillar. All are rotted, you can only hope that this
one will hold your weight. Slivers of salted wood pierce through your
gloves and into your skin. Barnacles scrape at your legs, slicing small
wounds through your armor.
The sky is rainy and a cold northern gust blows.
(Intense Dark Red Aura) Cordir is here.

ISOLAS: Memories of The Temple of Lord Nash

The Temple of Lord Nash
[Exits: none]
This huge hall's exact size is not discernible by standard measurements.
The many buttresses and arches form a tracery of shadowy dimness. The floors
and walls are covered in slabs of polished stone, apparently obsidian with
swirls of purplish basalt. Much magic has evidently been placed here, for an
evil darkness seeps from the walls and floor, making the whole chamber seem
uncomfortable and nerve-racking. In the center of the hall is a large plaque
sitting on an ornately carved pedestal.
(Glowing) A statue of Lord Nash stands before you in utter perfection.
(Invis 71) (Intense Light Red Aura) Isolas is here.
(Light Red Aura) A spider spins its web in the tree limbs.

Eathor arrives suddenly.

Eathor ftells, 'And what can I do for you this evening, Phantom?'.

Isolas says, 'kill it'.

Eathor bows before Isolas.

The spider scuttles away.

Isolas points at her accusingly.
A black widow spider looks around, startled.

Eathor says (in ogre), 'Yes sir.'.

Eathor's hammer fist DISEMBOWELS a black widow spider!
A black widow spider is DEAD!!
You hear a black widow spider's death cry.

Isolas says, 'send up the items, please'.

Eathor gets a fleeting memory from the corpse of a black widow spider.
Eathor sacrifices a fleeting memory to Isolas.

Eathor gets someone's shattered hopes from the corpse of a black widow spider.
Eathor sacrifices someone's shattered hopes to Isolas.

Eathor bows deeply.

Isolas puts a fleeting memory in a sturdy oaken chest stained with seawater.
Isolas puts someone's shattered hopes in a sturdy oaken chest stained with seawater.

Isolas smiles at Eathor.
Eathor smiles happily.

Eathor disappears suddenly.
Eathor ftells, 'Anything else I can do for you Phantom?'.

Isolas ftells, '(in a chilling whisper), No. Thanks'.

AOIDE: Memories of the Temple Baths

Thunder rumbles in the distance.

A cold gust of wind blows through you unexpectedly, chilling you to the core.

Aoide shivers.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "You have something that belongs to me, and I've come to collect."

The Lower Hall
[Exits: north up]
This hallway must have been built by giants! It is huge! Then
again, there are more than a few giants that belong to The Guild, so
it may just be so. A stairway leads up to another hallway above.
(White Aura) The newsboy stands here selling newspapers.
Mish Leigh Salvandor will use her contacts to help you... for a price.

Aoide scowls.
Aoide says (in elven), 'I don't know that I do have anything of yours, Phantom'.
Aoide says (in elven), 'what are you seeking?'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "You have thoughts, forged into material. Hopes, memories."

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "I've come to retrieve them."

Aoide says (in elven), 'Yes, I do. But they are not yours.'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "Ah, but they are."
The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "They are my memories as well. My hopes, my dreams."
The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "Mine are simply not material."

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in elven), 'The Lady Weaver trusts you'.
Aoide says (in elven), 'but she also fears you'.

Someone nods in recognition to Aoide.

Aoide says (in elven), 'You may have them, but only if will help her somehow'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "She has every reason to do both."

Aoide says (in elven), 'what will you do with them?'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "And what of you? Do you trust me?"
The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "Do you trust me to watch over the Lady with every bit of care she would expect, could she remember?"

Aoide says (in elven), 'I...well...'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "You have no reason to - you're trained not to. Your faith wouldn't allow it."
The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "I am all that is wrong with this world."

Aoide says (in elven), 'you have never spoken anything but truth to me in the past'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "And yet, someone you trust trusts me."

Aoide says (in elven), 'yes, and has trusted you longer than my life by far'.

Someone nods.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "The Lady and I - our paths have twisted many ways."

Aoide says (in elven), 'ways that have hurt her'.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "Trust, love, betrayal."

Aoide says (in elven), 'she would say that pain is part of life, but I wish her no pain'.
Aoide says (in elven), 'I will give you what I have, but not if you will use it to bring her pain'.
Aoide says (in elven), 'or to further cloud her mind'.

Someone speaks louder, a touch of bitterness to his voice. 'Pain is a double-edged sword, Aoide.'

Aoide says (in elven), 'still, I will protect her in the small ways that I can'.

Aoide takes a step towards Mish, then pauses.

Someone continues with a hint of rough, raw pain. 'It is not always one-way.'

Aoide looks behind her, then to the side, searching for the source of the voice.

Aoide says (in elven), 'That is true'.

Eathor arrives from above.
Eathor bows deeply.

Aoide nods slowly to herself.

Aoide smiles happily.

Eathor looks at Aoide.

Aoide curtsey to Eathor.

Eathor smiles happily.
Eathor rests.

Mish says, 'It's been a pleasure doing business with you, Aoide.'.
Mish gives someone's shattered hopes to you, and gives you a friendly smile.

Aoide tells Isolas (in elven), 'you may have what you seek'.

Isolas [GS] tells Aoide, 'Thank you.'.
Isolas [GS] tells Aoide, 'Eathor shall accept them on my behalf.'.

Eathor sits down and thinks deeply.

Aoide tells Isolas (in elven), 'but I will be watching. I don't know what one of my size could do should you misuse them..'.
Aoide tells Isolas (in elven), 'but I will watch all the same'.

Aoide smiles happily.

Aoide tells Eathor (in elven), 'I have something your Lord wants'.
Aoide tells Eathor (in elven), 'will you take it for him?'.

Isolas nods in recognition to Aoide.

The thunder draws nearer.

Isolas pulls his cowl down tightly, hiding his face from the light.

Eathor tells Aoide (in common), 'I will'.

Eathor puts a clear red potion in a leather bag.

Aoide says (in elven), 'Thank you'.

Isolas nods in recognition to Aoide.

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, "Thank you."

Eathor says (in common), 'Thank you. :)'.

Aoide tells Isolas (in elven), '*startled* You're welcome'.
They aren't here.

Eathor gets a clear red potion from a leather bag.
Eathor gets a clear red potion from a leather bag.

Eathor stands up.
Eathor grins evilly.
Eathor makes a complicated-looking gesture.
Eathor leaves up.

Aoide looks troubled.
Aoide sits down to think.

Eathor arrives from above.
Eathor says (in common), 'Anything else I can do for you, Phantom?'.

Aoide says (in elven), 'Does one ever get used to speaking to the air?'.

Eathor nods.
Eathor grins evilly.
Eathor leaves up.

Aoide whispers to herself, or to the empty room, 'May the Three watch over her.'

Aoide whispers, even quieter this time, 'And you as well, Phantom. May they guide your steps.'

The Unicorn: A Peaceful Glade in the Deepwood

A Peaceful Glade in the Deepwood
[Exits: north east south west]
This shady glade is pleasantly quiet and peaceful. You can hear the
gentle sounds of flowing water to the north and east. You feel
at rest here.

Isolas says, 'It is rumored amongst those young and old that a majestic creature exists, known as a Unicorn.'.
Isolas says, 'It is flawless.'.
Isolas says, 'And, as legend goes, it dwells in this very Deepwood.'.
Isolas says, 'It is time for that legend to die.'.

Eathor grins evilly.

Isolas says, 'It holds items of great value to me, and I would like them back.'.

Eathor makes a complicated-looking gesture.

Cordir tells Aoide, 'I am...'

Cordir tells Aoide, '...'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), '*frown'

Cordir tells Aoide, 'I cannot... I am... waiting.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Oh? Waiting for what, if I may ask?'

The air crackes with latent energy, as if a storm front of epic proportions is building, unseen.

Cordir tells Aoide, '*with forced calm and quiet* I do not know. I only know that a storm is coming.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Yes, I have sensed something brewing.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'I should tell you that the Phantom approached me a few evenings ago.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Has he said anything to you since the discussion in the Nexus temple?

Cordir tells Aoide, 'He has not... but I can sense his attention... it is as if he stands in the very room, yet he does not.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Yes. I too, have seen him and his paying greater heed.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'I am sorry I left so abruptly. Were you able to find adequate distraction?'

Cordir tells Aoide, 'Somewhat.'

Cordir tells Aoide, 'I will not ask of what you and he spoke - only.. was he, in any way, abusive or disrespectful?'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'I will tell you if you wish it.'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'but I don't want to bring any further stress.'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'but no, he was not unkind.'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'There is a mutual mistrust between us, but I believe we reached something of an understanding.'

Cordir tells Aoide, '*with a low, forced tone* Tell me.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'He came to collect a memory and a hope'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Which were somehow tangible'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'Which I found many months ago, after a discussion we had one evening in the baths.'

Cordir tells Aoide, '*whispered* It makes many things terribly clear.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), '*frown* I am sorry if I have done wrong.'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'After our many discussions, however, it seemed the answers lie with Isolas.'

Cordir tells Aoide, '*quietly* You did no wrong.'

Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'I hope not.'
Aoide tells Cordir (in common), 'I know that you fear him.'

Cordir says, 'It does not seem as safe anymore.'

Aoide says (in common), 'You hide from something more pervasive than pk'ers, my lady.'

Cordir says, 'I suppose... indeed. You spoke the very thoughts of my mind.'

Cordir says, 'I am... very..'

She frowns.

Aoide says (in common), 'My lady, if I may speak frankly?'

Cordir says, 'I am.. you may. Always and without permission.'

Aoide says (in common), 'I cannot believe you unfit to the task, whatever it is.'
Aoide says (in common), 'but this unease.. it is difficult to observe.'

Cordir sighs quietly and straightens up a bit. "So what you are gently saying, My Bard, is..'quit your snivelling, Goddess'... and I am afraid I must agree with you.'

Aoide laughs.

Aoide says (in common), 'more along the lines of, 'Never fear, Goddess. Nothing is as bad as the unknown.'

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'I will accept some of both.'
Cordir says, 'IT is only.. as I said to Boromir last night - Change is my Sister's domain. It is Anathema to me.'

Aoide says (in common), 'Yes, but it seems the change will come... is coming.'
Aoide says (in common), 'Whether or not it is welcome.'

Cordir nods.
