Potions Syntax: quaff <potion> QUAFF consumes a potion in your inventory, unleashing its magical effects (both good and bad) on you and you alone.

At lower levels, only the good effects of a potion are executed. What level is this protection good through? Is it good for random and limited potions?

Potions come in two types - Limited and Random. Limited potions have effects not informed by their description. Some exist as clever ways to fool the unsuspecting into using the wrong potion in their inventory.

To quickly get random potions, use the merchant in Loth Llorien. Buy potion, if it isn't what you want sac it, and buy another.

If a potion is random, the effect can be determined by the color descriptions per the list below:

Potion Color: Effect

Blood red: Teleport or Dispel Magic Blue: Waterbreath Bright White: Cure Blindness Brown: Protection Good Charcoal: Detect Magic or Blind Chrome: Bless?? Armor Clear: Pass Door Frosty Orange: Fly Glowing: Remove Curse or Strength Gold: Poison or Detect Good or Stone skin Green: Detect Hidden Grey: Stoneskin Greyish: Sanctuary or Refresh Magenta: Sanity Mauve: Weaken Misty: Shield Orange: Cure Poison Pink: Protection from Evil Platinum: Armor or Stone skin? Platinum: Bless Purple: Cure Critical Red: Infravision or Cure Light or Recall Silver: Detect Evil Sparkling: Immunity Teal: Detect Invis or Curse White: Invis Yellow: Heal or Sleep
