This help is intended to give the new MUD player some information about
MUDs in general, The Final Challenge (TFC) in particular... It is by no
means a complete "how to play" but merely a short introduction of what to
do and not to do when you first begin playing.

First off, keep in mind at all times it is a game, and ONLY a game.
Taking it too seriously causes more problems than can be believed.
In this vein, remember always that what happens on the mud is SEPARATE
from real life...this is the realm of fantasy and imagination, not flesh
and blood.

Second off, for those who don't know, MUD is an acronym that means Multi
User Dungeons. They come in many flavors and styles. TFC is a Merc MUD
based on Diku code and is set in a world of gnomes, ogres, minotaurs,
dragons, and other assorted creatures. Some MUDs allow only human players,
TFC allows choice of several different races each with their own language,
advantages, and disadvantages.

There are many places that you can browse offline and on the world wide
web for helpful tips and information on TFC. One of the resources found
