'NEWBIE4' 
When you logon TFC with a char for the first time, you should enter the MUD 
School. If this is your very first character, read the room descriptions and 
look at the mobs (what monsters and non-player controlled characters are 
called) as they provide useful hints on how to play. BEFORE attacking a mob, 
type [[consider|CON]] "Mobname" to see if its safe. Its a good idea to stay in MUD School 
until you reach level 2 at least (level 3 is better), and to go through it 
and other newbie areas, such as the Coliseum, as long as you are allowed to. 
Newbie, by the way, is shorthand for "new player" and should be not taken as 
an insult when you first begin. Should your battle go poorly, it is possible 
that you will die. (See HELP [[death|DEATH]]). Don't worry too much about this at 
first, and see HELP [[newbiedeath|NEWBIEDEATH]] to see some of your options.
