			Dear Immortals,<BR>
			<BR>
			In lieu of Solaron’s retirement, I am re-petitioning for Immortality here on TFC. Forgive me for sounding redundant if I repeat anything that I included in my last petition, please. I have thought long and hard about this the past few days. As some of you know, I have had several immortals over the years (elsewhere), and I mulled over whether I should re-petition or not, not because I didn’t think I was capable, or because I didn’t want to… but I wondered if I should step back and let someone else have a chance that hasn’t had the opportunity of immortality at all. But then I thought…I’ve been here a long time. I’ve put a lot of effort and time into TFC. Why shouldn’t I? If that sounds greedy or self-centered, I apologize. TFC was my first MUD, aside from BBS-based MajorMUD. It has been “home” to me for over 11 years now (I started sometime in 1995) and always will be. It holds a lot of memories and has helped me make many friends throughout the years. Regardless of how much we tell ourselves that it’s “just a game”, it’s a little more than that. It’s a way for us to experience achievement, growth, guidance, knowledge and more…without having to worry about real life repercussions. It’s a way to be ourselves without having to worry about rejection or humility. It’s a place to “escape” to from the troubles of reality.<BR>
			<BR>
			I have had many characters over the years on TFC, some bigger, some smaller. While my knowledge of the realm lacks considerably compared to some (just being honest), I have still managed to make it to level 50, to learn how to escape from PK’ers, have been an ordained, and I feel I have mastered the “art of neutrality”. snicker But I think that’s because of my being so neutral in real life.<BR>
			<BR>
			I honestly can’t think of an incident where I would’ve had disciplinary action taken against any of my characters. I try to abide by the rules as much as possible anywhere I go. It’s not necessary to break the rules to have fun, and it takes away from the enjoyment of others as well. Rules are set in place for good reason.<BR>
			<BR>
			I feel that I would be a good candidate for immortality for several reasons. I respect everyone, regardless of who they are, what they believe in, or what their standing is, both IRL and IC. I believe in communication and compromise, and am adamant about working as a team. (Why do I feel like I’m applying for a job? Hehe.) And I also believe in interacting with the mortals on a daily basis. It makes it more enjoyable for everyone, in my opinion, and it also gives them a sense of security knowing someone is there to listen if need be. People like me and look up to me. I don’t know why, but they do. Perhaps because I listen and show compassion. I have always been a source of “grounding” and I have a knack for being a peacekeeper. On the downside, I am also well aware of the fact that I am way too nice. It is a weakness that I have been trying to overcome over the years and am slowly making progress with. I have always tried bringing players to TFC throughout the years, and have also done what I could to convince those thinking about leaving not to. TFC has undergone a lot of change. It is far different from when I started. But change is necessary. And it is still a great place to play, regardless of what anyone else might think. They just need to give it a chance and mold themselves to those changes. I will continue to do what I can where I can in any way to help TFC.<BR>
			<BR>
			The mortals that will vouch for me are as follows: Ghazkull (UA), Vaalgamon (UA), Miressa and Belsambar. Immortal: Isolas.<BR>
			<BR>
			Following Idea:<BR>
			Name: Keepers of the Elements<BR>
			Premise: The four elements of nature (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) are the very foundations of creation and the basis of life itself. They link mortals to nature, the Heavens and the Divine.<BR>
			* The Earth is the essence of Change, Balance, and Physical Healing. The Earth signs, of course, would be our healers.
			* Air is the essence of Intelligence, representing Advancement, Influence of Children, Volunteer and Civic Services and Achievement. The Air signs would be our Authority Figures, those that the others would look up to.
			* Fire is the essence of Strength and Defense. It represents Power, Courage, Aggression, Combat, Confrontation, War and Justice. They would be our Protectors and Killers (There is a fine line between those two sometimes.).
			* Water is used for dealing with such matters as Emotion, Opportunity, Travel, Religion, Growth and Self-Improvement. The Water signs would be our Helpers, those that assist in individual growth.
			* The Spirit is the compilation of all four elements, those who have mastered all aspects of the elements and are absolved of their sins because of this, setting them apart from everyone else. This would be my Ordained.
			<BR>
			As for alignment, I see it more as a neutral following but I would be willing to go whatever alignment the current Immortals feel is needed the most, as I believe that this premise would be able to work on many different levels.<BR>
			<BR>
			Finally, I wish to thank you all for your time and consideration in this matter, as well as for everything you do for TFC. This MUD has indeed made my life much more tolerable and enjoyable over the years. Regardless of your decision, I look up to each of you.<BR>
