Here on TFC, gods have a different role than what is seen on most MUDs.<BR><br />
Immortals can actively interfere in the lives of mortals that worship<BR><br />
that particular god. Mortals can make the choice on whether to worship<BR><br />
an immortal (Lesser and Demigods only) any time during their adventuring<BR><br />
career, but once a god is chosen, it is difficult to change gods or not<BR><br />
have a god. A god may cast spells upon the mortals that worship that<BR><br />
specific god, and might run quests for his/her followers.<BR><br />
<BR><br />
It is not considered good form to worship a god without first asking<BR><br />
their permission and listening to their "tenets" or rules for their<BR><br />
followers. Should you violate this courtesy, don't be surprised if the<BR><br />
god in question decides to teach you a lesson in manners.<BR><br />
<BR><br />
A mortal's alignment is always unaligned, if that mortal does not have<BR><br />
a god. Otherwise, the mortal assumes the alignment of the god he<BR><br />
chooses to worship.<BR><br />
<BR><br />
To worship a god, one only needs to use the WORSHIP command.<BR><br />
Usage: WORSHIP <godname><BR><br />
<BR><br />
The god has to be online for this to work. For it to be permanent, they<BR><br />
must accept you. If you have not been accepted, dying or logging off will<BR><br />
sever the bond.<BR><br />
