Cordir's brow rises in an expression of suggested caution.

Amusement is clearly written upon her face.

Cordir draws the glittering bloodstone Thread from the Pattern, perusing its length.

You raise your eyebrow.

Venom carefully, with some hesitation says, 'Wh.. Who is that?'

Cordir glances at you. 'I think it admirable that you have goals, Venom. Much as the mouse in the wheel strives to reach its end.'

You say (in common), 'What are you going to do with that thread.'.

Cordir runs a pale fingertip along the Thread, allowing three others, intersecting and entwining it, to appear.
Cordir gets a bloodstained pair of embroidery scissors from a large wooden closet.

Venom's pale complection loses yet more colour.

Cordir indicates one of the secondary Threads: a clouded-ruby Thread.
Cordir taps it with Her scissors.

Cordir says, 'Now... would that we could address THIS problem... All the others would simply fade into nothingness.'.

Cordir says, '...or, like a tangle of ivy upon a tree, one can strangle the life from the other. That is what I See upon the Thread. Bloodstone fading away to nothingness, subsumed by Ruby.'.

You shake your head.

Cordir glances at you, almost sadly.

You say (in common), 'Soon I will have mastered the realm and it's artifacts again. Then I will be ready for my spell.'.

Cordir takes the scissors and traces a bloody line along one bare forearm, blood springing up in a willing flow.

You gasp in astonishment.
Venom staggers backward, horrible flashes haunting his vision.

Cordir turns her arm, to allow the blood to collect in her palm.

Cordir lifts her cupped hand to her lips, and blows a breath, carrying its scent to you.

You are hungry.

You growl. Grrrrrrrrrr...

Cordir closes her hand, and the blood and the wound vanish.

Venom bares his fangs.

Cordir laughs softly.
