== Class Maximum Stats ==

Class Maximums 
Each class has a maximum that you can reach when you add magical gear. 
For example, a Ranger can have 25 DEX with gear, whilst a Warrior can only have 22. 
CON, LUC, INT and WIS are a maximum of 25 for all classes. 
 
Multiple Classes 
Your 'primary class' is determined by the highest class you have. 
Example: The primary class of [Ra(12) Cl(15)] is Cleric. 
 
When both classes are equal the first listed is Primary. 
Example: The primary class of [Ra(12) Cl(12)] is Ranger. 
 
You will also hear people refer to being '<class>-prime'. The examples above are 'Cleric-prime' and 'Ranger-prime', respectively.

Tall and slender, but not as sylph-like as many of his kind, the half-elf
before you looks more human than elf. He carries himself, though, with the
poise and grace of the ageless ones. Piercing green eyes that miss nothing
are set within a pale-skinned, deeply-lined face - lines that suggest a
readiness to smile, but speak also of hurt and pain.

He is attired head-to-foot in dark leather, bearing the marks of many
battles, both physical and magical. A dark cloak lays across his broad
shoulders and a cowl conceals much of his face. Although his armour is
clearly travel-worn, each tear is neatly repaired, each cut patched and
reinforced. Intricate rings adorn the ring finger of each hand, and an
understated yet clearly precious amulet encircles his neck, partly hidden
amongst the folds of his clothing. In his hand he carries a lethal
sword, its blade dulled, not through neglect, but deliberately so as to
prevent detection. A subtle magic arcs and rolls from hilt to tip, as if
alive to his touch.

are many things about it that not 'normal' for its kind: foremost being its size.
Nearly a hand-span in width, it has long, chitinous legs that end in small barbs.
A bright crimson hourglass is visible upon its belly, and this easily recognized
symbol glows with a dull ruby-colored light. Its eyes bear a jewel-like facetted
brilliance, each a tiny crimson orb. It blinks slowly, and bares its tiny little
fangs in what you can only assume is a smile or grin of sorts. Dipping slightly,
it appears to bow.

The following was written for [[Tiax]]'s Area Story Contest by [[Cordir]]. 
It all began in N'Kai. Even simply the name conjures up visions of the inky fluid that is the Darkwater, snaking through endless tunnels filled with howling winds, or of shamans bare of all save the tattoos and sigils that mark their devotion. There, the mortal body is overwhelmed as every sense is pummeled. The scent of incense carried upon the breeze, the echoing splash as a monstrously huge eel slides through the water slapping its tail, the coolness of the air cascading down from the hurricane above; all of these are part and parcel of the experience known as N'Kai. 
But it is my spirit that drinks the most deeply within those hallowed halls. It was here that I first willingly laid down my life for Lord Thaygar, casting myself with sacred devotion upon the fangs of the Dhole, its acid bite stripping away all thought or sense until I was reborn in mortal flesh. Here, my self, my being, changed from that of a terrified, half-mad, patricidal runaway to the Ebon Bard, blessed by the praise of the First Prophet in his holiest of holies. That day began a Path that would lead to Ascension and Triat renewal, bringing the praise of the Three to the Realm once more… and now to the full Restoration of the Three, with Weaver, Wyrm, and Wyld all given representation. Would that Thaygar had seen this day. Perhaps he did, in the visions spawned by the ebon fires that shrouded his hand and illuminated his temple. 
Time and time again, I have returned to N'Kai and ritually bathed in the ice-covered waters of Lake Hali, purifying myself and casting off the burdens upon my heart and soul. To this day, I wander its black shores when troubled, and bring each and every Chosen here on a rite of passage, that they might know its thundering glory. The great Serpent that sleeps below has bathed my faithful in its tears, blessing them, and the shamans have imparted what wisdom they will in binding that which must be bound, in growth for Mastery, and for the sacred bonds of marriage. 
It is my heart of hearts, the great Mystery that cannot be fully understood, yet captures us, childlike with wonder, at the hints of things unimaginable. It is home.

Trains are used to increase your stats. You will start with a few of them, 2 to 4 depending on your race, and with luck you will occasionally get one when you level. Training after level 11 affects the stat itself, so most people wait until then. That way they don't end up wasting a train on a stat that was going to end up at its maximum anyway. ** The answer is very silly, I'm afraid. One of the players from California always joked that he needed a bunch of pretty, half-naked girls to cast Charm Person on, and have follow him around. He was a follower of [[Larry]] (the god of [[Food]]). So when Madman told me he needed an island created for [[Tier Sh'Halen]] to be placed underneath, and I had a very short amount of time to turn it around, I tossed the Shipwrecked Babes, Anathea, Honey, and Lisa, onto the island. My friend joked that they were as 'tasty as dessert'.. so that's how the island got named. [[Madman]] was amused when I explained, and let it stay that way.
