It was inspired by Corri, who spent lots of time building a useful [http://groups.google.com/group/thefinalchallenge?hl=en wiki] by hand. Corri's pages are hosted by Google. Unfortunately, they are discontinuing the service she is using, which was the motivation for setting up this wiki.

TFC is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD MUD] - an online text-based multi-player game - that people play at all hours of the day or night for free.

TFC has been on-line since 1994, and has a strong, devoted community of players from all over the world. It has a large, coherent world of some 161 areas, more than 93% of which are original and unique to the realm.
