Safeguarding the Child

(This RP was completely unplanned, and just kinda went freeform. Log created by Tranquility and from her point of view.)

The Sanctuary of Fate
[Exits: north]
The breathtaking loveliness of a midnight shadowed garden embraces you. The night sky is filled with stars... no, not stars, but strands of light which shimmer at the edges of sight. The soft call of unseen birds provides sweet melody to please the ear and the low hoot of an owl echoes out of the trees. A thick tangle of web-shrouded briar roses marks the boundaries of the area and every conceivable variety of flower blooms within, despite the darkness. Here and there, care has been taken to create gathering places in the glade, from an intimate nook of soft, thick moss beneath a veiling willow tree, to a low, gentle dell where a large group could rest in comfort. Each cardinal point is marked by its own unique archway. Ebon flames beckon within a trio of them, and the fourth is sealed by an enormous spiderweb. At the heart of the clearing is a large round seal of orichalcum.
A small weaving loom is barely visible amidst the trees.
(L Neutral) Aslan is here.
(L Neutral) Ebonie is resting here.
(Intense Light Cyan Aura) [GS] Cordir is here.

Aslan arrives from the north.
Aslan curtseys gracefully.

You smile at Aslan.
You say (in common), 'Thank you Lady'.
You hug her.

Tranquility places a wingtip on Aslan's shoulder.

You say (in common), 'You died?'.
You blink at what she said.

Aslan nods in recognition to you.

Tranquility walks in a slow circle about you, drawing a sacred circle.

Aslan says (in elven), 'Through fault of my stubborness to not miss ANOTHER mm'.

You nod in recognition to her.
You say (in common), 'What have you learned?'.

Aslan says (in elven), 'And in the end, I lost so much more'.

You say (in common), 'Step not from the circle'.
You say (in common), 'it is protective'.

Look Cordir
The silver-haired Lady who stands before you has the bearing of warrior-maiden, yet the womanly curves and gentle features of any heroine of the oldest tales. As her gaze meet yours, the calm they reflect mimics that of a sun-warmed,
indigo lake in a hidden and unknown forest, bearing not a ripple upon its surface, but with depths enough to drown in.
As her intense, observant gaze looks deeper into yours, lifetimes pass before
your eyes, all one soul but many incarnations. How many lives have you led?
Even if you do not know, the Weaver Incarna does. As she stands before you
now, the glimmering hint of your strand is stretched between her slender hands.
It is She who minds the threads, who chooses life, death, happiness, love,
sorrow, whatever is needed that the pattern be set as it should.
Equally at home in the pure energies of the Pattern as she is taking small
steps teaching the young of the Realm, the Lady moves with grace and modesty,
yet the sensuality of a woman awakened to her fullest potential. The slight
hints of icy reserve about her melt away, and a delighted smile curves her
sweet crimson lips. Tilting her head to one side, her eyes fall upon a soul
in the Weave beyond your sight, perhaps one she calls her Chosen, her friend
or her beloved. Laughing gently, teasingly, she murmurs an answer you cannot
hear, and whispers a spell of protection and warding.
Perhaps there is a side to this Goddess that few know.

Aslan stands still in her tracks.

Tranquility kneels.

You get a pipeweed bread from an egg casing.
You eat a pipeweed bread.
You are no longer hungry.
You drink water from a cask of distilled water.
You do not feel thirsty.

Tranquility gazes at Aslan for a moment, half closing her eyes.
Tranquility's eyes open wide in shock.

Above you, the Pattern shifts, like a spiderweb touched by the movement of a fly within.

Tranquility turns to the Pattern.

Aslan says (in elven), 'I have learned that I lack a certain amount of judgement and common sense'.

You hug her.

Ebonie smiles happily.
Ebonie says (in common), 'Welcom back, sis.'.
Ebonie beams a smile at Aslan.
Ebonie hugs Aslan.

Aslan curtseys gracefully.

Tranquility looks to Cordir then back to the pattern, blinking.

You say (in common), 'Lady, is it true?'.
You say (in common), 'Were you able?'.

A soft glow in the heart of the Pattern draws the eye.

Ebonie raises an eyebrow.

Look Aslan:
Standing serenely, Aslan looks at you with her soft blue-green eyes. A mystical light seems to follow her, creating a light halo around her golden-red hair. She lights a match, and holds the flame up for your viewing. Upon gazing in the flame, you see the same fair woman, sitting at the base of a large blossoming tree, holding a small elven baby to her breast. To the right of the lady, stands her tall elven husband. Tall and beautiful, Talyn's steady gaze pierces your soul, as he decides whether you are friend or foe. His eyes wander to his wife and child, and a look of overwhelming devotion, tenderness and love fills his face. To her left, stands a beautiful half-elf of incredible grace. A steadfast wolf stands beside Darkfang, and you listen as,
Darkfang says (in common), 'At last, we are together' and she smiles at the wolf.
The wolf looks on as two large cats play and vie for Aslan's attention. One, a huge
lion, prancing around, shaking it's regal mane, and the other, a tiger, prances about
searching for some steaks to fill her belly. The earth seems to shake as both kittens
let out thunderous purrs of contentment. The vision blurs. Realizing that a spider's
thread has blown in the way of the flame, you search for the thread's keeper. Dark
and mysterious, the spider lowers herself and stares at you with her eyes. A quick
draft blows the spider and her thread out of view, also burning out the flame. *I am
Aslan Tsarran-Napei, daughter of Jyslin Tsarran, sister of Darkfang Elvenwolf-
Tsarran, wife of Talyn Napei, Servant to the Lady Mistress Cordir An'Shalach,
Kitten of Tripper the Master of Tigers.*
Aslan is in perfect health.

Swirling shades of blue call the eye like the heart of a storm.

Ebonie turns to the Pattern, a puzzled look on her face.

Aslan's cheeks grow rosy, unsure of what is going on.

Cordir reaches up, summoning... calling...
Cordir gets a bag of Aslan hide from the Great Pattern.

Cordir gives you bag made from Aslan hide.

Tranquility beams.
Tranquility examines the bag carefully.

Cordir says, 'When Talyn did not complete the purification...'.
Cordir says, 'I saw it, and prepared...'.
Cordir sits down and thinks deeply.
Cordir says, 'a back up plan.'.

You say (in common), 'The essense....Aslan, the child's essence remains'.

Cordir says, 'Having been an 'adventuring mother' myself.'.

Aslan blinks.

Tranquility thinks deeply.
Tranquility paces.

You say (in common), 'Katrana told me once...of how to do such a thing'.
You say (in common), 'But I am not as experienced as she'.
You say (in common), 'I will need all your strength to assist Aslan'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'of course'.

Tranquility steps up, besides yet outside the circle.

Ebonie says (in common), 'Is... there anything I can do to help?'.

Tranquility extends the bag and closes her eyes.

You say (in common), 'Please'.

Cordir kneels upon the grass next to the circle's edge.

You say (in common), 'Lend your power to the circle'.

Ebonie stands up.

Cordir says, 'Ebonie, it would be perfect if you did.'.

Cordir says, 'Between the three of us..'.

You nod.

Cordir indicates herself, Tranquility, and the Cookie..

You say (in common), 'The Triat's will be done'.

Cordir says, 'we have a Triat of women.'.

Ebonie walks foward, and kneels next to the Lady and Tranquility in the circle.

Tranquility chants softly, and the bag begins to glow.

You say (in common), 'Aslan, lay your hands on the bag...'.

Aslan gazes on in wonder.

You say (in common), 'Tell me if you feel the child within'.

Ebonie closes her eyes.

Cordir lays Her hands on Aslan's belly.

The earth trembles beneath your feet!

Aslan's hands drift over to the glowing bag, as if in a strage dream.

Tranquility smiles softly at the sign.

Ebonie lifts her head, a faint smile on her lips.

You say (in common), 'by the shaking of the earth we call, by the Triat we beg, by the spirits we hold dear we honor...'.

You feel an odd shifting deep in your belly.

Tranquility opens her eyes, cautiously....
Tranquility looks to the other women, then to Aslan.

Aslan turns pale, as she feels herself grow with child again.

* . . . ? . . . *

Tranquility smiles.

Ebonie opens her eyes, a look of wonder on her face.

You sense.... an individual present in spirit.

Cordir glances at the aquamarine thread upon the Loom.
Cordir scans its connection to the fuming blue thread and nods.

You smile happily.
You say (in common), 'Aslan...has the child returned?'.
You say (in common), 'Do you feel the connection I could see with the thread'.

Ebonie looks at Aslan.

You say (in common), 'I never saw it faded. I was so...confused. Now I see why'.
You say (in common), 'A child destined...*will* be born'.
You say (in common), 'Even if it's mother must learn'.

Ebonie smiles at you.
You smile at her.

Aslan runs her hand over her belly, humming a quick tune.

Tranquility draws a line through the sand, picking up traces of it with her fingers.
Tranquility turns to Ebonie, laying sand upon her shoulder.

You say (in common), 'Thank you Sister'.
You say (in common), 'Your thread is bound to this child'.

Ebonie smiles happily.

You say (in common), 'You must help her'.

Ebonie nods slowly.

Tranquility turns to Cordir, sprinkling sand upon her shoulder.

Ebonie says (in common), 'I will always help her, in any way.'.

You say (in common), 'Lady, you are bound as well, but you always watch over us all'.
You smile at her.

Tranquility sprinkles sand upon her own head, with a snicker.

You say (in common), 'And I am bound'.
You say (in common), 'I will teach your child all that I can'.

Ebonie blinks slowly, as if still in awe of these events.

You say (in common), 'The Circle is completed'.
You say (in common), 'You may step outside of it now'.

Cordir says, 'wait'.
Cordir utters the words, 'bless'.

You nod in recognition to her.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'okay.'.

You say (in common), 'of course, how thoughtless of me'.
You smile at her.

Ebonie smiles happily.

You curtsey to her.
You say (in common), 'Thank you Lady'.

Aslan smiles happily.

Ebonie moves next to Aslan, and lays a hand on her shoulder.

Aslan says (in common), 'Thank you all.'.

You say (in common), 'Lady, can you take the bag back, and restore it to the Pattern'.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'the child will know it's home away from home now'.
You say (in common), 'Even should the worst occur'.

Ebonie smiles happily.
You say (in common), 'And that, is a blessing beyond measure'.

Cordir puts bag made from Aslan hide in (Tattooed) (Writhing) The Covenant of the Chosen.
Cordir sits down and thinks deeply.

You hug her.

Cordir gets bag made from Aslan hide from (Tattooed) (Writhing) The Covenant of the Chosen.
Cordir creates a silver weaving shuttle out of thin air!
Cordir unlocks the Weaver's Loom.
Cordir opens the Weaver's Loom.

Ebonie beams a smile at Cordir.

Aslan hugs all around.

Cordir places the bag inside the Loom itself.
Cordir closes the Weaver's Loom.
Cordir locks the Weaver's Loom.
