Cordir says, 'it is good to see you, Wish.'.

You say (in common), 'oh yes'.
You say (in common), 'good to see you too, Cordir!'.

Tes arrives from above.
Tes sacrifices a newspaper to Katrana.

You say (in common), 'of course, you are always in my dreams, so I see you often'.

The Lower Hall
[Exits: north up]
This hallway must have been built by giants! It is huge! Then
again, there are more than a few giants that belong to The Guild, so
it may just be so. A stairway leads up to another hallway above.
Tes is here.
(Invis 70) (Intense Light Cyan Aura) [GS] Cordir is here.
Mish Leigh Salvandor will use her contacts to help you... for a price.

Tes utters the words, 'hailstorm'.

>blush
Your cheeks are burning.

You are no longer invisible.

Tes blushes.
Tes winks suggestively at you.

Cordir says, 'I am writing one of your .... you what?!'.
Cordir blinks.

You say (in common), 'oh, I never told you?'.

Tes says (in common), 'I thought he was talking to me!'.

You shake his hand.
You say (in common), 'nope'.

Tes says (in common), 'You someone, stop stealing my dreambo'.
Tes snuggles up to you.

Cordir arches one pale brow and shakes her head.

Tes snickers softly with a sly crooked grin.

Wish sidles away from Tes.

Cordir says, 'have you told His Grace of this?'.
Cordir says, 'perhaps he can purge you of them.'.

You say (in common), 'by "His Grace", do you mean Abe?'.

Cordir says, 'No, the Pontiff.'.
Cordir says, 'Your Lord.'.

You say (in common), 'and don't worry, all the dreams are G-rated....ohh.. no, I have not mentioned them to anyone'.

Cordir still looks rather disturbed.

You say (in common), 'let’s just say this'.
You say (in common), 'okay, I was lying they are not G-rated'.
You say (in common), 'but don't worry...you always come out on top!'.

A cold gust of wind blows through you unexpectedly, chilling you to the core.

You say (in common), 'yuhoh'.
You say (in common), 'uhoh'.

Cordir says, 'I am more than a little disturbed to hear this Wish'.

You say (in common), 'I am not sure why...all Gods should be happy to hear that mortals are dreaming of them, thinking of them, praising them'.

Cordir says, 'I do not wish to be in anyone's dreams.'.

You say (in common), 'after all, without mortals, where would you be?'.

Cordir says, 'i seek no praise or worship.'.
Cordir says, 'nor to be the object of ...'.
Cordir shivers uncomfortably.

You say (in common), 'it is a philosophical discussion, but Nashism teaches us that mortals are the fuel for the forge of the Gods'.

Cordir says, 'Pray to Nash and your Lord to keep your mind from such things.'.

You say (in common), 'on the contrary, I pray to Lord Nash to fill my nights with visions of the gods'.
You say (in common), 'it is those visions which empower Lord Nash!'.

Cordir says, 'For I am not one to be the subject of such flights of fancy.'.

Isolas pulls his cowl down tightly, hiding his face from the light.

You say (in common), 'we may not want to breathe, Cordir, but some things are a fact of life'.
you say (in common), 'I worship Lord Nash first and foremost...but all the Gods are worthy of praise'.
You say (in common), 'for it is their very godliness that makes them worthy'.

Cordir does not look at the cowled figure but the wound on her hand begins to bleed steadily.

You say (in common), 'and it is their worthiness that makes them godly'.

Cordir says, 'Your dreams trouble me.'.
Cordir says, 'to be the subject of anyone's dreams...'.
Cordir says, 'it brings only ruin and sorrow'.

You say (in common), 'Would you like me to tell you of one, specifically?'.
You say (in common), 'I can't promise that you will be reassured...'.

Cordir says, 'as you will, Wish.'.

You say (in common), 'Without ruin, cordir, we may not appreciate the wealth of existence'.
You say (in common), 'without sorrow, we may not truly know joy'.

You say (in common), 'i shall brb'.

(Wish leaves the room briefly and comes back.)

Tes has reconnected.

You say (in common), 'it was but a short dream'.

Cordir nods.

You say (in common), 'which came to me, as most dreams do, in the early waking hours...'.

Tes says (in common), 'Should I post more dreams? Or has that quest ended?'.

Cordir says, 'the quest is ended but each dream is useful'.

Cordir [GS] tells you, 'are you logging? I am on via phone and unable to really do so'.

You tell Cordir (in common), 'always'.

You say (in common), 'I was walking...squishy like...on the sea floor amongst the flowing kelp'.

Cordir [GS] tells you, 'would you send me the log?'.

You tell Cordir (in common), 'I will'.

You say (in common), 'my tentacles seemed to float effortlessly, which was odd, since lately i have felt heavy limbed'.

You say (in common), 'gently, I brushed aside silt that had piled up around me...and there, embedded in the sea bed, was a totem'.

Tes loses focus and starts to play with a ball.

You say (in common), 'and I quickly realized, it was your face'.
You say (in common), 'a rock outcropping carved in your likeness'.

Cordir blinks.

You say (in common), 'there, staring up at me from the bottom of the ocean'.

Cordir gives a child's ball to Tes.

You say (in common), 'and suddenly it spoke'.
You say (in common), 'I could not understand the words, but I understood their meaning'.

Tes stops using a burning whip.
Tes tries to hold a child's ball, but has his hands full.

Tes wields a burning whip.
Tes stops using a small druidwood shield.
Tes holds a child's ball in his hands.

You say (in common), '"You shall rise."'.
You say (in common), 'that was all that was said'.
You say (in common), 'And I awoke'.

Cordir sits down and thinks deeply.
Cordir looks around.

You say (in common), 'there is more'.

Cordir says, 'Continue.'.

You say (in common), 'when I awoke, I had these items in my inventory'.

>i
You are carrying:
someone's shattered hopes
(Glowing) a fleeting memory
(<<Inventory Edited>>)

You give someone's shattered hopes to Cordir.
You give a fleeting memory to Cordir.

Cordir screams loudly!
Cordir gathers the shadows around herself, ebon flames outlining her for a moment.

Tes says (in common), 'she took off'.
Tes snickers softly with a sly crooked grin.
Tes stops using a child's ball.
Tes bounces his ball around;
Tes juggles a child's ball.

Black fires seep up from beneath your feet, roaring across your senses for a brief moment.

Tes gossips (in common), 'Fire in the hole!'.

Cordir has transferred you.
A Midnight Garden
[Exits: none]
The breathtaking loveliness of a midnight shadowed garden embraces you. The
night sky is filled with stars... no, not stars, but strands of light which
shimmer at the edges of sight. The soft call of unseen birds provides sweet
melody to please the ear and the low hoot of an owl echoes out of the trees,
only to be answered by the harsh, mocking scream of a carrion crow. A thick
tangle of web-shrouded crimson briar roses marks the boundaries of the area
and every conceivable variety of flower blooms within, despite the darkness.
At the center of the garden lies an ornate multi-tiered fountain, ebon fire
lighting the cascades from within. Benches have been placed invitingly in a
semi-circle around the stone basin of the fountain, set just inside a thick
band of mithril.
(Invis 70) (Intense Light Cyan Aura) [GS] Cordir is here.
(White Aura) A distressingly large, shiny black spider weaves webs here.

Cordir says, 'I have long considered you .. '.
Cordir says, 'someone I respected.'.

Her voice is faint and wracked with pain.

Cordir says, 'I do not know how you came to have those...'.
Cordir says, 'but I swear, by Thaygar's fire ...'.

Cordir takes a long, shuddering breath.
Cordir says, '... that was ill done.'.

Cordir has transferred you.

Cordir [GS] tells you, 'one sec '.

>bow
You bow deeply.
You say (in common), 'one sec...'.

Cordir regards you quietly, her face drawn and pale save for where a trickle of blood reveals a bitten lip.

You say (in common), 'phone'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir gazes around herself as if seeing this place for the first time.
Cordir shivers as a cold wind stirs her hair and garments.

You say (in common), 'my lady, I certainly meant no disrespect'.
You say (in common), 'I acted without understanding the implications of my actions...'.
You say (in common), 'however, aside from my dream, I had no choice in my actions regarding the objects'.

Cordir says, 'I bear you no ill will - but know that you have been the instrument of great pain.'.

>comfort cordir
You comfort her.

You say (in common), 'Cordir, I want you to know this...you are one of my all-time favorite people on TFC'.

Cordir says, 'His Grace plays a long and cruel game.'.

You say (in common), 'I have love for you of a friendly nature'.

Cordir says, 'You are one I have long respected and thought of as ...one I had deep regret had chosen other paths.'.

You say (in common), 'May I offer one humble suggestion?'.

Cordir says, 'You may'.
She turns away from you, however, concealing her expression.

You say (in common), 'Some pain must be grasped by the horns and ridden'.

Cordir says faintly, "that may be so .. but it lessens not one whit of the hurt."

You say (in common), 'if there is anything I can do, within my power, to help diminish the pain I have caused, I will do it'.

Cordir shakes her head.

You say (in common), 'Perhaps...but there are different kinds of pain...and the goal should be to turn it from a slash to a dull ache'.

Cordir shakes her head. "no. as I said - you were but the knife in another's hand."

You hug her.
You say (in common), 'I am not pleased to have been used in such a way'.

Cordir adds, "this pain .. was born of my own choices, if delivered by the hand of another."
One hand lifts to her face, which she keeps averted, the bandage on her palm wet with blood.

You say (in common), 'Do you recall what I was saying before I relayed my dream?'.

Cordir shakes her head. "It has fled, before that onslaught."
Again, she glances around the garden and her thin shoulders shake.

You say (in common), 'The Gods depend on the mortals...for ill deed and good.'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, '.. I know. That is why the gods go mad when they lose their people.'.

You say (in common), 'Are you saying you are facing madness?'.
You say (in common), 'for I would strive with all my might to avert that.'.

Cordir shivers. "I... cannot... it is ... it is a thing I have made myself forget."
Cordir whispers, "He hasn’t let me See it yet."

You say (in common), 'there is an illogic here'.
You say (in common), 'you say you have "made yourself forget"?'.

An ominous rumble of thunder passes through the distant night sky.

Cordir cries out at the sudden peal, shivering.

You say (in common), 'I have misunderstood my dream!'.
You say (in common), 'and so have you!'.
You say (in common), 'Your totem was not looking at me!'.
You say (in common), 'Your totem was staring straight up....to the sky above the ocean!'.

Cordir turns and glares at each corner of the garden.

You say (in common), 'and you were speaking to yourself! "You shall rise!"'.
You say (in common), 'You shall make yourself remember!!'.

Cordir says, 'I will not be ... I am not afraid of you.'.

You say (in common), 'It follows that if you can make yourself forget, you can make yourself remember!'.

Cordir gestures at you. "Not you. Him."

The thunder rumbles again, closer.

Cordir takes a slow breath.

You say (in common), 'of course not! You only need to swim above the water'.

Cordir says, 'I used sorcery.'.
Cordir says, 'physically removing the memories'.
Cordir says, 'He has them.'.

You shake your head.
You say (in common), 'you have deceived yourself...'.

Cordir says, 'it is the Storm.'.
Cordir gestures at the foul weather.

You say (in common), 'I must go...reflect on what I have said, please..."You shall rise!"'.
You say (in common), 'I am certain that is the key'.
You say (in common), 'You shall rise!!'.
You say (in common), 'You shall rise!!'.
You bow deeply.

Cordir falls silent.

You wave.
