November 1, 2000: The saga of Silonch's heart continues... Silonch's heart had previously been magically enchanted into an object for safe keeping. (See: Heartless No More) She then gave the item to Tylorn... and the heart was obtained by the Tigers. Mass chaos ensues and threats are levied against the Tigers should it not be returned to Tylorn.

Individuals in the scene: Cordir / Silonch / Rath /

Cordir tells Silonch, 'Milady, may I speak with you for a moment?'.

The Kitchen
[Exits: west]
( 4) (Humming) A Mourning Star seems shrouded in darkness.
A small white fountain gushes forth here.
(Invis) (Dark Red Aura) Silonch is here.

Silonch tells Cordir (in common), 'nod '.

Silonch sighs loudly.

Cordir says, 'thank you.'

Cordir says, 'You and I have not been close for some time - largely due to the Lich's demand that I stop interfering in your life.'

Silonch curtseys gracefully for Cordir.
Silonch raises an eyebrow.

Cordir says, 'But I have been concerned for you. Especially with the latest issue over your Heart'.

Silonch nods and says (in common), 'it was not my intent to cause any grief'.

Cordir says, 'Tripper has asked me for guidance.'

Cordir smiles quietly.

Cordir says, 'that is never your intent, Silonch. You have a gentle heart.'

Silonch says (in common), 'no but I bring it just the same don't I?'.

Cordir says, 'Sometimes. As I said, Tripper asked me for guidance.'

Silonch says (in common), 'I have asked him to return it to Tylorn'.

Cordir says, 'I suggested he speak to you directly'.

Silonch nods.

Cordir says, 'What do you want?'.

Silonch says (in common), 'I do not want anyone to suffer for me'.

Cordir says, 'Do you love Tylorn?'.

Silonch says (in common), 'Would that a question have an easy answer'.

Cordir says, 'If the Executioner did not hold the token of your heart...Would you love him?'.

Silonch says (in common), 'there has been much between us of late'.
Silonch says (in common), 'much of it sad'.

Cordir nods and says, 'Do you realize that the entirety of the Tigers is willing to fight to protect and guard you?'.

Silonch says (in common), 'it '.
Silonch says (in common), 'it not my wish that they do so'.

Cordir says, 'That they look at this as the opportunity to stand between a lady fair and an oppressor?'.

Silonch says (in common), 'I do not want them to sacrifice for me'.
Silonch says (in common), 'It is not worth the sacrifice'.

Cordir says, 'That is not YOUR decision to make'.

Silonch raises an eyebrow.

Cordir says, 'It is theirs, and the decision of any moral individual. If you cannot tell them, with clear concience and truth in your eyes, that you love Tylorn, heart or no...'

Cordir makes an eloquent gesture.

Silonch says (in common), 'There is a great deal of history between Tylorn and I'.

Cordir nods. Cordir is aware.

Silonch says (in common), 'to say I do not care for him would be wrong'.

Cordir was there for much of it.

Cordir says, 'but do you LOVE him. There's a huge difference between affection and love. Love is worth fighting for. Fighting to protect.'

Rath arrives from the west.
Rath rests.

Silonch beams a smile at Rath.
Silonch curtseys gracefully to Rath.

Rath bows deeply.

Silonch says (in common), 'no matter the answer I give it will be a wrong one'.
Silonch says (in common), 'you both ask me the same question'.

Cordir pauses a moment to think.
Cordir says, 'it seems a simple enough question. But I say again. Love is fighting for. I do not talk about duty, obligation, faith, affection.. I talk about love. That which sustains, grows, deepens. Nourishes and fulfills. That which contains mutual respect and admiration. '.

Silonch says (in common), 'what might I as, is the import of my answer?'.
Silonch is confused.

Cordir smiles quietly.
Cordir says, 'There are certain ideals in life that those of valor and courage stand up to protect.'

Rath taps his foot, shaking his head.

Cordir says, 'Because that is part of what makes them valorous. If the heart was stolen, as I recall you telling me long ago.. If the love is one of sorcery, and not a true devotion of the soul, mind, and body... Then that is slavery of a sort. And valorous individuals will not tolerate that.'

Silonch says (in common), 'I am not inslaved '.

Rath says (in common), 'I think we should let Silonch speak instead of putting words in her mouth'.

Cordir says, 'I said, "of a sort". I am asking her views, Rath. She asked me to explain why.'

Silonch sighs loudly.

Cordir says, 'I am putting NO words in her mouth.'

Rath says (in common), 'you're leading her'.
Rath shrugs.

Cordir says, 'No, I'm not. I am asking for a clear distinction.'

Silonch says (in common), 'I would see that this has brought many to grief'.

Rath leans against the stone wall, casually picking decaying flesh from his gauntlets.

Cordir says, 'Silonch to some degree, it doesn't matter if it is YOU specifically as an individual.'

Cordir says, 'When the Lich stole me from Keller.. It was such a grievous act, that others took up arms in an effort to free me. They stood up, not because they cared about me, or keller.. but because to do so, is to uphold the beliefs, morals, and ethics they hold dear.'

Rath arches a brow, and leans forward.

Cordir says, 'I believe that people would act, no matter who was involved.'

Rath says (in common), 'so what ARE you getting at Cordir'.

Cordir says, 'But thatis my own belief.'

Silonch says (in common), 'Tylorn did nothing wrong'.
Silonch says (in common), 'unjust, or immoral'.

Cordir says, 'Silonch's main concern that she has verbalized seems to be that anyone would come to harm over her. Did you give him the heart of your own volition? or was it stolen from your corpse?'.

Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Silonch says (in common), 'it was removed from my corpse yes but'.
Silonch says (in common), 'that does not make it against my wishes does it'.

Rath smirks halfway,satisfied.

Cordir says quietly, "at the time... you did not express pleasure, when we spoke, of this happening. Was it, or was it not?"

Silonch says (in common), 'he would not have taken it without my permission.'

Cordir says, 'You've avoided the question nicely.'
Cordir says, 'Do. You. Love. Tylorn.?'.
Cordir says, 'If he did NOT hold that heart... would he hold your love?'.

Silonch tells Cordir (in common), 'you ask for an answer that will destroy someone, no matter the result'.

Cordir nods in recognition to her.
Cordir says, 'Life is not fair or easy, silonch, as a woman.'

Silonch says (in common), 'I have made many mistakes in my life'.
Silonch says (in common), 'I don't care to make many more'.
Silonch says (in common), 'but above all, I would keep from hurting those I care about'.
Silonch says (in common), 'even ...'
Silonch says (in common), 'even if it means greater hurt to me'.

Cordir says, 'and if others are not willing to accept this martyrdom?'.

Rath thinks all of this is nonsense.

Cordir says, 'Your opinion, Judge, was not asked. I am not addressing you.'

Rath smirks.

Cordir says, 'I am speaking to Silonch.'

Silonch says (in common), 'I do not want to be the cause of dissention'.
Silonch says (in common), 'for anyone'.

Cordir says, 'as a living breathing being, you interact with others, Silonch. You are not alone in the world. EVERY act has repercussions within the Pattern. EVERY life . Pretending otherwise simply causes more harm. However.'

Cordir bites back her words, and takes a breath to calm her emotions.

Cordir says, 'Simply say the words, Silonch. And I'll advise Tripper and his Tigers with a clear concience.'

Cordir says, 'Tell me, "Cordir, I love Tylorn. With or without the heart.".'

Rath says (in common), 'perhaps Silonch is a bit uncomfortable under your grilling,eh?'.

Cordir is being comparatively gentle, actually.

Rath says (in common), 'of course'.

Silonch smiles happily.

Rath says (in common), 'the Tigers renigged'.
Rath says (in common), 'they will perish'.

Silonch says (in common), 'I would speak with Tylorn before I answer your question'.

Rath shrugs.

Cordir cups Silonch's chin in Her hand, looking into the woman's eyes.
Cordir says, 'You have changed much, Silonch.'

Cordir gestures and the Pattern manifests about you with a thunderous roar.
Cordir reaches up and touches the pale-rose thread.
Its color darkens, taking on the hue of another Strand entirely.

Cordir shakes her head sadly.

Silonch says (in common), 'my boss is taking apart my radio'.
Silonch says (in common), 'i'll have to come back'.
Silonch waves happily.
Silonch has left the game.

Rath says (in common), 'so it seems,Cordir, that I may not be as completely wrong as you informed me earlier'.

Cordir says, 'The maiden seems to have changed her tale.'

Rath says (in common), 'maybe next time look before you choose to try and lay me out with outdated information?'.

Cordir says, 'And, even still... never answered the question.'

Rath says (in common), 'she was nervous'.
Rath says (in common), 'that much was apparent'.

Cordir says, 'She is no longer the woman I knew. Whom she is now.. I cannot say. But her tale has changed, in the intervening span.'

Rath says (in common), 'what, because she can love tylorn?'.

Cordir says, 'She never said she did.'

Rath says (in common), 'she didn't deny it either'.

Cordir smiles quietly.

Rath says (in common), 'I don't know what good it will be'.

Cordir says, 'Would you hesitate to declare your love for Alyria?'.

Rath says (in common), 'the Tigers have made a dishonorable...'

Rath glares around him.
Rath narrows his eyes as he hears her name.

Cordir says, 'If asked, would you admit your love? Would there be any question in your mind?'.

Rath says (in common), 'of course'.
Rath shakes his head...his eyes glazing over...and focusing back...

Rath says (in common), 'the point is Silonch has been through pain lately'.

Rath says (in common), 'Tylorn died, and there will be a slaughter, for what she thinks she is responsible for'.

Rath says (in common), 'she may be confused'.
Rath shrugs.
Rath says (in common), 'I am vastly disappointed in Tripper though'.

Cordir says, 'Even in your worst moments, Rath.. Even in the depths of dispair... Would you have not known how to answer the question, 'Do you love Alyria?"'.

Rath says (in common), 'I would know how'.

Cordir says, 'Tripper seeks to guard a woman he cares deeply for as a long time friend.'

Rath says (in common), 'nonsense'.

Cordir says, 'He knows that Silonch simply seeks to protect others, not caring for herself.'

Rath says (in common), 'Tripper is being a fool'.
Rath says (in common), 'holding a sacrimental relic?'.
Rath says (in common), 'such is despisable'.

Cordir says, 'Rath..'
Cordir says, 'I know much more of this matter than you do.'

Rath says (in common), 'well...good'.
Rath says (in common), 'but what I see'.
Rath says (in common), 'is sickening'.

Cordir pauses a moment to think.
Cordir says, 'Would you like to know what I see?'.

Rath says (in common), 'oh,indeed.Show me some way that this is justified'.

Cordir says, 'I see a man who seeks glory. He seeks fame. HE wishes to be the first Nashite wed, in full ceremony and glory. He seeks a woman whose love is given elsewhere. Out of kindness to him and loyalty to her Lord, she agrees to be his Lady, though not out of love.'

Rath says (in common), 'the first Nashite wed was long ago Cordir.Careful with your words'.

Cordir says, 'That.. belongs to another. THis tale begins long ago, Rath. I know of what I speak.'

Rath says (in common), 'oh...do you?So the silver fellowship had no weddings?'.

Cordir says, 'She pledged and gave her promise to be with this man. Out of Duty.'

Cordir says, 'No. The silver fellowship had no Nashite weddings.'

Rath raises an eyebrow.
Rath shrugs.
Rath says (in common), 'I suppose you'd know better'.

Cordir says, 'The Silver Fellowship had a handfasting between Gryphon and Kestrel. Nash was not involved. They were not permitted to wed formally.'

Cordir says, 'Yes. I would know.'

Rath shrugs.

Cordir smiles quietly.
Cordir says, 'Back to our tale.'

Rath says (in common), 'I think your tale is exaggerated'.

Cordir says, 'The fellow learned that she did not love him. That her love was given elsewhere. He released her from the vow. Pledging that he would not have her if she did not love him. She stated her heart was GIVEN elsewhere. That heart was then lost. The Chosen of Fate worked to retrieve it from the Pattern of Time. It was returned to Silonch, and made such that it could NOT be removed. That if she loved, it would not be through a token being captured. The only way to take that heart was by force. Through Death.'

Cordir says, 'My tale is not skewed, Rath.'

Rath taps his foot as he listens to the story.

Cordir says, 'Everything I have related to this point, is in LOGS provided by those involved'.

Rath says (in common), 'it's not skewed because you despise Tylorn. It tears you apart that Silonch..the one you care about, could love he you see as a monster'.

Cordir says, 'I did not despise Tylorn until quite recently actually'.

Rath says (in common), 'the very possibility burns a hole in you, doesn't it?'.

Cordir says, 'Do you think I would have given him the labor of my mind, and my heart, to identify him to the world if I despised him?'.

Rath says (in common), 'I think you will believe what you wish to be true'.

Cordir says, 'Do you think I would have assisted in crafting garments for him, if I despised him? What kind of fool do you take me for?'.

Rath shrugs.
Rath says (in common), 'that was long ago, this is now'.
Rath says (in common), 'your story was now'.

Cordir says, 'Indeed. My point exactly'.

Rath says (in common), 'the past is nothing'.

Cordir says, 'This tale goes back quite far'.

Rath says (in common), 'the future, nothing'.

Cordir says, 'The past is EVERYTHING'.

Rath says (in common), 'the present is the important'.
Rath says (in common), 'what can you change of the past?'.

Cordir says, 'to quote you, BAH'.

Rath says (in common), 'what can you change of the future?'.

Cordir says, 'Alyria is the past. Why cling to it?'.
Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Rath says (in common), 'you are plucking a sore nerve,Cordir'.

Cordir says, 'Because it is LOVE, that we speak of. Would you ... DID YOU... not fight to protect her?'.

Rath says (in common), 'I did'.

Cordir nods. Cordir says, 'I remember.'

Rath says (in common), 'Alyria lives in my heart, presently. Her spirit'.

Cordir says, 'And so does the Silonch we knew, before the heart was stolen. She has become as a shadow. And it is deeply, deeply sorrowing to those that knew her.'

Rath says (in common), 'you believe what you want. That Silonch still pledges her heart to the other'.
Rath says (in common), 'we will see'.

Cordir says, 'I don't believe that Silonch cares for Vecna any longer. But I do not believe that she loves Tylorn.'

Rath says (in common), 'and why is that?'.
Rath says (in common), 'she told you it was willingly given'.

Cordir says, 'And I do not believe it is right to give that heart - not given in love and devotion and passion - to him to hold.'

Rath says (in common), 'how do you know it wasn't given in love, devotion, and passion?'.

Cordir says, 'Because that is not what she told me at the time it was taken.'

Rath says (in common), 'ooc:I got class.I'm alreayd late for.Pick it up later?'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'take care'.

Rath says (in common), 'ooc:hasta'.

Rath has left the game.
