Uh-oh! It appears as if someone fed the Swarf! Until now, only rumors
and legends have dared to describe the horrendous consequences that
may result from such an act. Although fallen from his true Swarfly
nature, a few remnants of his former self remain. Hints of the most
powerful magic known to the realm adorn the figure before you and have
caused him to become a... fish? You have never seen such a short, stocky
fish before. Nevertheless he is, without a doubt, quite fishy. The
oceanic smell radiating from him would be an upgrade from his previous
odor if it weren't for the hints of his usual fragrance you notice
every third whiff or so. The only redeeming quality of his hygiene is
the fact that he lives in water now and is forced to bathe upon each
exit from the guild. As evidence of his new hometown, salty water
drips from his scraggly beard and collects in a puddle by his feet.
Ink doesn't seem to mind, as he proudly wiggles his new tail and
splashes it in the puddle. He is obviously quite excited about his new
appendage and will willingly show it off to anyone who will pay
attention to him. Unfortunately for the Swish, it is likely the effects
from this feeding will fade with time, although no one quite knows how
long that may take.

Ink has a special twinkle in his eye.
Ink is in perfect health.

Character History:

Where did +|-|3 /\/\16|-|+y 5\/\/1$# come from? That is a question that is both simple and complex in its answer. Where I began is a mystery—my first recollection was in my seventeenth year when I found myself longing for adventure. I had heard legends of the greatest heroes to ever walk the realm and I wanted to be just like them. I sought training in the clerical arts from my hometown guildmaster, but soon found that I spent more time in battle using my weapons than my spells. Following the example of Solanthas, one of the most powerful deities to ever walk the lands (and a warrior/cleric), I undertook training with the great warriors as well. I grew wylder and more confident as my skills increased, and I quickly discovered that my talents lay in cutting the threads of fellow adventurers, though I did not know it by that name at the time.

I soon devoted my life to the WarDancers in the pursuit of maintaining peace and righteousness in the land. It was the first of many followings for me, but it was a perfect fit at the time. Where else to develop my wyld nature but a following devoted to the dance of death? While this was a thousand years before I would stand as Wyld Acolyte, it was not completely different. Upon mastering both my warrior and cleric abilities, Solanthas asked me to represent the WarDancers as his ordained mortal. I accepted that role and was given the title of ‘Khayamu’, but it wasn’t long before Solanthas vanished from the realm, leaving me godless and stripped of my ordained privileges. One day, in a dark alley in my hometown, I came across a thief guildmaster and he convinced me to learn the art of thievery. It was the newfound focus on deception and trickery that sparked a change in me. I was no longer interested in maintaining the good in the realm, but found a love in the darkness and shadows. While there was honor to be found in righteousness, there was wealth and power in evil. It was an exciting prospect!

Although I am undoubtedly hated for my bloodthirsty ways, there is little malice behind it—probably because deep at heart I am just as blue as the day I first worshipped Solanthas. I have been feared by many, and for good reason. I was Anathema in my days before eventually joining the Chosen of Fate, I have been named The Most Feared Mortal by many, and to my disgust, potential victims hide within the safety of the Guild Hall when they catch wind of my presence. But though I have earned a reputation for being a cold-hearted murderer for slaying the poky little Corri herself, I have also hunted friends and group-mates. It is not evil that prompts me to cut the threads so indiscriminately, though I am certainly that, but the thrill of the hunt. I even killed the mighty Solaron on two separate occasions before later joining his following. Solaron is not the only mortal I have killed who later achieved immortality. I have also cut the threads of the mortal Lycron, Cytoxan, Rufus, Schwartz, Azeworai, Seraph, Thor, Legolas, Wish, and Hutt. Of these, three were slain three times each: Lycron, Rufus, and Cytoxan. Because of my wyld nature, it has been a difficult sacrifice to put aside pking for the duration of this quest. In fact, something inconceivable occurred during this quest: I was classified as a pacifist.

Though my nature is Wyld, and has been for my entire existence, I do not completely lack evidence of the other aspects. The barest hint of the Weaver can be seen in the joy I get from spreading my great wealth across the realm, and the Wyrm as I help new adventurers find their place within the ranks of legends. While it may seem a complete contradiction when considered with my love of the hunt, I have done much in my older years to aid my fellow adventurers and if things work out just right, perhaps I will help you too—you never know! ;)

Ink's Good Deed

[ 11] Linkin: Ink and his good deed
Thu Jul 14 21:52:37 2005
To followers of: Cordir
Well I was wandering around doing some exploring, because i believe i need to know more about this realm
well i was down in sahagin exploring when I found the Avatar, I wasnt doing too bad against him........
Til my sanc dropped and I was outta brights, well bottom line is this.... I got killed, i got a group of
Maeron, Fallon and myself right when we got 3 rooms away Maeron voids and it was up to Fallon and myself
Well we go in and start to do our thing, but bad goes to worse and we both die again in there.....
Next thing you know Ink is logged on and is already hovering over our corpses, I thought for sure both of
our corpse were history, but when we got back to the GH, Ink returns my corpse, and he basically looted
Fallon's corpse, I gave Fallon 40k (that is all I had) to buy stuff back but he logged that instant...
so I gave my 1str wwp, 1dmg light to maeron to give to him when he logs back on, Ink said he got less
than 100k for all the equipment, and all he kept was a 5dex shield and a lvl 27 TS...

Geasa

Ink says (in common), 'As further penance for my prior unwillingness to acknowledge my Dwarven heritage, I vow to embrace my newfound culture and speak only their dialect.'.
Ink says (in sahuagin), 'In order to aid those less experienced than myself, I vow to never again take gold from a corpse.'.

a sparkly bit of bedraggled dwarven armor

Long Description: A ragged chunk of divinely crafted dwarven armor hangs on a thick mithril chain.

Look armor dwarven chunk:
While the powerful and only a little overconfident Dwarf Ink has never
admitted defeat in battle, there might possibly have been a time or two
that he really had to be... er... somewhere else. This ragged bit of
finely made dwarven armor was torn off during an altercation with his
arch-nemesis, the horrible Woronin. He wears it with both determination
and pride.

Look woronin woronins:
WORONIN
According to C.J. Alexopoulos and C.W. Mims in _Introductory
Mycology_, Third Edition, a Woronin body is defined as "an
electron dense spherical body found in the hyphae of Ascomycetes
and many Deuteromycetes; Woronin bodies are usually concentrated
near the septa." (page 600)
Although this information will be completely and utterly useless
to you in your quest to survive making friends with the Woronin,
we provide it for your entertainment, enlightenment, and general
edification, and we are quite impressed that you thought to type
'HELP WORONIN.' Have a nice day.

a silvery ring of overlapping scales

<worn on finger> (Artifact magic) a silvery ring of overlapping scales
Long Description: This ring is made up of nine times nine tiny little scales of silvery metal.

Look scales:
The texture of the scales that comprise this ring is warm and fluid, pleasing
to the touch. It shimmers in the light with the iridescence of an insect wing
or the belly of a fish as it leaps upstream. Each gleaming scale overlays its
neighbor in exactly the same pattern and each has a tiny mark on its surface:
a rune in Dwarven. Sliding your thumbnail across the scales causes the runes
to catch the light just enough that they can be read:

                            For Mastery, all was lost
                            In Mastery, all was gained
                            Wyld Prevails! Swarf untamed!!

Look ring band:
Eighty-one scales, each a perfect miniature, wrap in a complete circle to form
the band of this ring. They are formed of some bright and shiny metal, perhaps
platinum, for they feel very strong. Each scale bears a tiny rune of Dwarven.

Look metal silvery:
Examining the metal closely, you realize it must be platinum. No other metal
would be strong enough to withstand the battering and general horseplay that
this ring is subject to on a daily basis. It looks like something is trapped
between several of the scales, barely visible.

Look something:
It looks like a bit of hair has gotten caught in between some of the scales:
drawing it carefully out, you realize it is two strands entangled and twined,
one as sable as night, the other a spiderweb gray.

Created for Ink by Cordir, in what was supposed to be a Triat Mastery Quest
gift... but SOMEONE was too impatient to wait... on January 05, 2012.

Player Provided Information:

Cordir
05/20/2011
The player of Ink and I started out on the worst possible terms. At one point, he had three different characters on the Anathema list, and regularly was so horrid that I’d get mad enough I had to log off or I’d do something I’d regret. When I found out he was going to be attending a GT that I was also going to, I was downright uncomfortable. What if he was mean and nasty in person, too? Well, he showed up and the worst that happened was that he ate the last of the chocolate chip cookies. He was actually funny, had manners, was kind to Tranquility’s daughter, and complimented me on the food I’d made. Meeting Ink at a GT and getting reminded that we’re all just players trying to have fun (though I disagreed strongly with his idea of 'fun') was a major turning point in how we interacted. Things DID get better. He even created a character for the Chosen of Fate, and later still, joined as Ink. (Though not exactly reformed from his Wyld ways - and I knew better than to bother asking him for Geasa or a character history. :P)

Edited on 12/23/11 to Add: (That's ok. I got him back with his Triat Mastery Quest, which requires that he write a history...AND take Geasa.)
