You hear a soft knock.

The Nexus
[Exits: north]
Those stepping into this holy place are filled with a sense of calm, as
if no longer torn by the winds of change and strife that fill the world.
Partially understood musings on the ways and wiles of life suddenly seem
clear and incisive. Plans half-formulated now are complete, vaguely felt
intuitions speak loudly and with incredible clarity. Perhaps...

The room suddenly seems new, as if viewed for the first time: pure, white
marble and crystal walls shine with the rosy glow of a new dawn, and reach
upwards into a forever-shifting sea of mist. Under foot, a glistening expanse
of dark gray stone provides a comforting foundation in this focal point of all
that is... the Nexus.

A stone chest of silver-veined gray stone rests here, waiting.
(Intense Dark Cyan Aura) Hutt is here.
(Intense Dark Cyan Aura) Boromir is here. (Dark Cyan Aura) Fzoul is resting here.

Boromir says, 'enter!'.

Cordir arrives from the north.

Boromir says, 'hi cordir'.
Boromir hugs her.

Hutt says, 'heya'.

Cordir says formally, "Greetings, Lord Boromir"

Boromir smiles at Cordir.
Boromir bows deeply.

Cordir in recognition to Hutt, saying, 'Hello, Ambassador.'.

Boromir says, 'I am honored as always'.

Hutt bows before Cordir.

Boromir says, 'welcome to my humble abode!'.

Cordir looks around the chamber, her eyes distant, expression grave.
Cordir says, 'It is a beautiful place.'.

Boromir says, 'offer you anything? '.

Boromir bows deeply.
Boromir says, 'thanks'.

Cordir pauses a moment, tilting her head to one side, and thinks.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Hutt hides behind Boromir.

Cordir says, 'The advice of my eldest friend.. my Councilor and Taoiseach. '.

Boromir looks at Cordir and looks thoughtful.
Boromir says, 'M'lady'.
Boromir bows before Cordir.
Boromir says, 'always at your service'.
Boromir thinks for a moment

A ghost of gentleness crosses her face for a moment, like a cloud over the moon.

Cordir says quietly, 'I know that I have always been able to count on you for the truth.'

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.
Boromir says, 'Yes. I have that ability for better .. or worse'.
Boromir smiles ruefully.

Cordir slowly, almost hesitantly, extends her left hand. Scars criss-cross it in the hundreds. Yet one, is raw and crimson, as if fresh.

Boromir gentles cradles Cordir's hand examining the scars old and new.
Boromir says, 'M'Lady'.

Cordir says softly, 'The ritual of the Covenant Ward... they should all be healed, centuries ago.'

Boromir says, 'I know'.

Boromir says, 'So what happened? '.

She whispers, 'I don't have any earthly idea.'

Boromir steps back for a moment.
Boromir says, 'no idea? '.

Cordir shakes her head mutely.

Boromir says, 'ummm this is not good'.
Boromir says, 'so '.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir steps back and looks at Cordir closely.

Cordir admits, 'I hadn't even noticed it, myself. Aoide brought it to my attention.'

Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir says, 'Where have you gone? what has happened? '.

Cordir says, 'Nothing, of note, that I know of.'.

Boromir says, 'you are not yourself'.

Cordir frowns.

Boromir says, 'no'.

Cordir says, 'You are the second person to tell me that... and I don't..'.

Boromir says, 'You have gone somewhere or done something.
You're... darker '.

She shakes her head in confusion.

Cordir says, 'I am as I have been, since my Ascension to Goddess.'.
Cordir says, 'Ebon Weaver Ascendant.'.

Boromir wanders over to the first window and looks out lost in thought for a moment and then returns.

Boromir says, 'may I speak directly, M'Lady? '.

Cordir smiles faintly. 'I would expect nothing else.'

Boromir grins wryly.
Boromir cups Cordir's left hand in both of his.
Boromir says, 'Your hand is hot to my touch as if fevered. There is something within the hand that ... that needs to be '.
Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir says, 'fixed'.

Cordir blinks slowly. '... Boromir, I'm immortal. It's not like I have an infected splinter in there.'

Boromir says, 'there should be no open scars .. no sign of fever or soreness'.

Cordir says, 'I just have a Covenant scar that isn't .. quite right... and I don't know who's it is.'.

Boromir says, 'look at the palm and the open scar .. do you not see it?D oes it not bother you?'.
Boromir raises an eyebrow at Cordir.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir says patiently, her fingertip tracing an ancient white scar that traces close to the edge of her palm, from index finger to thumb, 'This is yours.'

Boromir nods.
Boromir smiles.

Cordir touches another, that is a single deep point, at the center of her palm. 'This is Nyx's.'

Cordir says, 'I can name them all, know them all... save this one.'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'you have the gift of reading the threads '.

Cordir nods slowly.
Cordir says, 'Aye.'.

Boromir says, 'of seeing those that are not seen to others'.

Cordir repeats herself. 'Aye.'

Boromir looks at Cordir closely seeing hints that bring a sadness to his expression.
Boromir says, 'you have changed'.
Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir says, 'not a question'.

Cordir says softly, 'I am.. as I have always been.' But her voice is troubled She hastily adds, 'Since my Ascension.'

Boromir says, 'you are the essence of Cordir but not quite the Cordir you believe yourself to be'.

Boromir thinks for a moment, his eyes on Cordir.

Cordir shrugs slightly, "I was different, when I had my Chosen. And something was broken inside me when I lost them.. but every ancient Immortal goes through it."

Boromir says, 'I wonder'.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'when is the last time you read the threads? Especially yours?'.

Cordir draws her hand from where it has been resting, cradled between Boromir's, her expression grave.

Cordir says quietly, 'My Bard, Aoide, asked me the same question.'

Boromir says, 'your answer?'.

Cordir says quietly, 'And so I looked into the Pattern, then and there.'

Boromir nods.

Rosemark shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!'.

Cordir looks down at the floor. 'It ...'

Rosemark shouts (in common), 'ALL HAIL THE PHANTOM, POPE OF NASHITE AND LEADER OF THE NASHITE MAGI!'.
Rosemark shouts (in common), 'PRAISE THE ARCH-LICH, MASTER OF THE BLACK CONCLAVE!'.

Cordir says quietly, voice barely above a whisper, 'It is tangled.'

Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir nods.

Illegal shouts (in common), 'PRAISE LORD NASH!!!!!'.
Illegal shouts (in common), 'ALL HAIL THE PHANTOM, POPE OF THE NASHITE MAGI!'.

Boromir says, 'to tangle a thread takes a great shift'.

Cordir flinches at all the shouting.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.
Boromir says, 'kids'.
Boromir grins happily.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'You have changed. Something or someone has darkened your aura .. 'tis red. A dark red'.
Boromir shivers uncomfortably.

Cordir sighs and glances ruefully over at Boromir. 'You know, my eldest friend, you were supposed to dispel all of my doubts and fears.'

What might be a ghost of a smile flits across her lips briefly.

Cordir says, 'Not agree with Aoide.'.

Boromir takes Cordir's hands in his.
Boromir says, 'I would remove all that there is of this if I could. You know that'.

Cordir nods.

Boromir says, 'You have asked for my thoughts and considerations'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'For centuries, now. Ages.'.

Boromir says, 'then let me do as I have always done. Speak directly'.
Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir looks down for a moment and then back up at Cordir.

A slight welling up of shadow and flame flickers around her, as if to calm her nerves or shroud her from direct view.

Boromir says, 'your aura has darkened to a red '.
Boromir smiles slightly.

Cordir holds up a hand.

Cordir says, 'Was it not like that when I first Ascended? I know it has changed since my days of the Chosen. But hasn't it been this way for some time, now? Since the Wyldess' return?'.
Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Boromir says, 'not this dark nor this intense'.

Cordir leans in slightly.

Boromir says, 'your aura has shifted to red and blue but never this deep or for so long'.

Cordir says, 'You have been busy with your own - would you, truly, have noticed?'.

Boromir says, 'yes. You are Cordir. M'Lady and friend. Thought I have not seen you much of late... I do see'.

Cordir takes a long, slow breath and nods. 'Then I must believe and accept it, then.'

Boromir smiles.
Boromir says, 'this is something else as well that I have seen'.
Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir says, 'well '.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir frowns at your hesitancy.

Boromir looks down as if to see his feet
Boromir looks back at Cordir seeing her again as if for the first time.
Boromir says, 'there is an ... emptiness to your essence. As if something has been lost or hidden away. The twinkle. The wicked grin '.

Cordir nods, her expression pained. She murmurs, 'I ever feel the loss of my Chosen.'

Boromir says, 'not ever this deeply'.

Cordir glances at you, her expression grave, knowing the pain that you, yourself, will someday feel.

Boromir sighs loudly.

Cordir whispers, 'They never spoke of it, Boro. The agony that losing them causes.'

Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir nods in recognition to you.
Boromir says, 'no'.

One hand lifts and closes in a fist, as if to press away the ache in her heart.

Boromir says, 'It's never said. just there.'
Boromir says, 'little bits when you lose someone'.
Boromir says, 'to lose all'.
Boromir grumbles.
Boromir says, 'there was a time'.

Cordir's shoulders curl inward, as if acknowledging the loss causes the pain to rush back.

Boromir says, 'not long ago '.

Ebon fires flicker up around her, soothingly.

Boromir hugs Cordir briefly.
Boromir says, 'I '.
Boromir says, 'umm'.

Cordir says, '.. considered it?'.
Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Boromir says, 'I was wandering the realm and thought I would stop by and see how you were doing'.
Boromir says, 'you were out and about yourself'.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir sighs loudly.

Cordir blinks. "Ah. Did you visit with Guardian?"

Boromir says, 'yep had a beer'.
Boromir grins happily.
Boromir says, 'She was her usual self '.

Cordir murmurs fondly, if caustically, 'She is a right grumpy bitch.'

Boromir says, 'well that too'.
Boromir laughs.
Boromir says, 'well'.

A crooked quirk of a half-smile. "She suits me well."

Boromir says, 'as he grumbled "yeah it works' and then he laughed'.
Boromir smiles at himself.

Boromir takes a deep breath.
Boromir says, 'What happened at the temple of the Magi?'.

Cordir blinks.

Boromir says, 'I found you there unconscious'.

Cordir says, 'What on earth are you talking about?'.

Boromir says, 'or deeply asleep'.

Cordir asks, bewildered, 'When?'

Boromir thinks for a moment.
Boromir says, 'you don't remember? '.

Cordir pauses a moment, tilting her head to one side, and thinks.

The ebon flames seethe around her once more, clearly visible.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.
Boromir says, 'you don't ... do you'.
Boromir sighs loudly.

Cordir barely moves, only a slight shaking of her head in the negative.

Boromir says, 'do you remember anything at all ?'.

Cordir says, 'I .. remember thousands of years of things.. I remember mortality..'.

Boromir says, 'I know'.

Cordir says, 'I remember Nyx's Ordainment at Lake Hali...'.

Boromir grins wryly.

Cordir says, 'I remember making you my Taoiseach.. your oath...'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'I remember my Final Weave.. I remember going to the doorway in N'Kai and passing through it, and knowing no more until Tynian awoke me.'.

Boromir says, 'hmmm'.

Cordir says, 'When he lifted the mantle of the Chosen from me, I .. well.. I don't know what to call that state'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'hopefully I won't have to go through that ..'.

Cordir says, 'But I certainly wouldn't have been in the temple of the Magi, when I was in it.'.

Boromir says, 'you were'.

Cordir says, 'I .. came back into being... when Tynian called me back. And shortly thereafter, Ascended.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'I need to retrieve something'.

Boromir summons the mists of the Nexus: when they swirl and fade, he is gone.
Boromir appears amidst the mists of the Nexus: the mists swirl and fate

Cordir frowns slightly.
Cordir says, 'May I have your consent to bring a guest?'.
Cordir gestures about the room.
Cordir says, 'into your temple?'.

Boromir says, 'do you not remember this rose I left by your side? '.
Boromir gives you a rose from Saughinna.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'She is of the Wyld.'.

Boromir says, 'tis ok'.

Cordir raises her hand in a gesture of summoning.
Shadows well up.
Aoide arrives from a puff of smoke.
The shadows fade, depositing the Bard.

Aoide curtseys gracefully for you.
Aoide curtseys gracefully to Boromir.

Aoide curtseys gracefully to Hutt.

Boromir says, 'Greeting Aoide'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Greetings, Lord Boromir'.

Hutt bows before Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'thank you for allowing me'.

Boromir bows deeply.
Boromir beams a smile at Aoide.

Cordir looks down at the rose he handed her, then over at Aoide.

Boromir says, 'You're welcome'.

Cordir says, 'Have you ever seen this before? In my garden?'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

She tilts the rose in Aoide's direction, the huge bloom emitting an exquisite fragrance.

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in common), 'I can't remember, to be frank'.
Aoide says (in common), 'not recently, if ever'.

Cordir breathes out a whisper. 'Nor do I.'

Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir steps over to the first window and stares out, lost in thought.

Cordir nods towards Boromir's retreating figure. 'He says... that while I ...'

She shrugs slightly. 'Between when Tynian lifted the mantle of the Chosen from me...'

Cordir says, 'and when He awoke me and then granted me Ascension..'.
Cordir swallows hard.
Cordir says, 'He says that he found me in the temple of the Magi, asleep.'.

Aoide nods slowly.

Cordir says, 'and while I can't say that the state in which I was in, between ... giving up my people, and returning to service... cannot be some sort of sleep..'.

Boromir quietly turns from the window moves to stand by Cordir.

Cordir says, 'I cannot, for the life of me, and by the sacred flame of Thaygar's hand, understand why I would be there.'.

Boromir says, 'it troubles me'.

Aoide purses her lips.

Cordir says emphatically, 'And you are not the only one!'

Aoide says (in common), 'that the Lady Weaver does not remember?'.

Boromir says, 'to find you there deeply asleep'.

Aoide says (in common), 'or that she was there'.
Aoide says (in common), 'ah'.

Boromir says, 'and no memory'.
Boromir says, 'both'.

Cordir tries to make a joke, her tone troubled. 'I haven't ever heard of immortals sleep walking..'

Boromir looks at Cordir concern written across his face and in his demeanor.

Aoide says (in common), 'this is not the first incidence of gaps in your memory, my lady'.

Cordir nods mutely at the Bard.

Boromir nods slowly.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I had hoped they would stop'.

Cordir says, 'I .. have wondered... since our conversation in the garden... if it is some sort of lingering affect of Molo's spell.'.

Cordir says, 'It seems to be centered around the Nashites.'.

Boromir says, 'that has been thousands of years!'.
Boromir says, 'surely it has worn off'.

Cordir says, 'Ah, Aoide - the time he is speaking of .. (here, she references Boromir with a nod) 'Is from before I ascended to Goddess..

Aoide says (in common), 'is it when you were kidnapped by Molo?'.
Aoide says (in common), 'around the time of your wedding?'.

Boromir occasionally forgets how old he really is.

Cordir says, 'I thought the spell fully broken when I knelt before Jahiliya and she slid her knife into my heart.'.

Cordir says, 'What Boromir speaks of, is a time after I gave up the Chosen.'.

Aoide nods.

Cordir says, 'Yet before I Ascended. Not a time of mortal days.'.

Boromir says, 'you have the knife? '.

Cordir shakes her head in response to Boromir.
Cordir says, 'No. I don't.'.

Boromir gets an old book down from his bookcase.
Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

At the sight of the book, Cordir glances over at Aoide. 'Do you still have my Ebon Book?'

Boromir says, 'it's one you loaned me .. that I forgot to return'.
Boromir says, 'wait'.

Boromir says, 'Aoide you have Cordir's book?'.

Aoide nods in recognition to Boromir.
Aoide says (in common), 'yes, and I still have it'.
Aoide says (in common), 'well, Mish does'.

Cordir says, 'It's just the book of poems I wrote. She seemed to like it, so I gave it to her.'.

Boromir looks very concerned.

Aoide says (in common), 'would you like me to run and grab it?'.

Boromir says, 'that'.
Boromir says, 'wow'.

Aoide says (in common), 'it is not so much that I liked it (though I do!) It's that you claimed no need for it'.

Cordir shrugs.

Boromir gasps in astonishment.

Cordir says, 'I do not.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and I desperately wished it to remain safe for I don't think that is...what you would have once said'.

Montyhaul arrives from the north.
Montyhaul smiles happily.
Montyhaul rests.

Boromir grins happily.

Cordir nods a greeting to Montyhaul.

Cordir says, 'Hello, venerable one.'.

Montyhaul grins wickedly.
Boromir grins happily.
Montyhaul smiles happily.

Aoide says (in common), 'forgive me, Lady Weaver, but did you have need of the book?'.

Cordir shakes her head.
Cordir says, 'I do not. All of those within it are dust and gone.'.

Boromir gasps at what Cordir said.

Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Boromir says, 'I'm not sure I heard that correctly'.

Cordir says, with slight irritation, 'I gave her the book. I have no need of it.'

Boromir says, 'you do not wish to have the book?'.
Boromir looks shocked.

Aoide says (in common), 'well it is safe, for now, should you change your mind'.

Cordir says, 'It was of great value to me as a mortal.'.

Boromir says, 'thank you Aoide'.

Cordir says, 'But those people, those times, are long since past.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I just wondered if there were any clues within its pages'.

Cordir says, 'I thought perhaps a fellow Bard might enjoy it.'.

Boromir says, 'I have never read it for Cordir always held it.. even as an FLI'.

Aoide nods in recognition to Boromir.

Boromir says, 'I believe only one mortal ever saw it '.

Aoide nods.

Cordir chuckles softly, 'Only one mortal ever asked to.'

Aoide says (in common), 'A few bards and I were once allowed to look at it briefly'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and that was a great honor'.

Boromir nods in recognition to Aoide.

Cordir says impatiently, 'It's just a damned book, Boro, not ...' She shrugs, trying and failing to find a good analogy.

Boromir says, 'if my memory serves correct, there was one who didn't need to ask'.
Boromir raises an eyebrow at you.

Cordir says, 'Nyx, yes.'.

Cordir says, 'Congratulations, Monty, on your worship.'.
Cordir says, 'You have chosen well.'.

Aoide beams a smile at Montyhaul.
Hutt enthusiastically cheers Montyhaul to victory.

Montyhaul smiles happily.

Boromir grins happily at Montyhaul.

Boromir says, 'how long have you held the book, Aoide?'.

Aoide sits down and thinks deeply.
Aoide says (in common), 'since the Weaver's aura was red'.

Boromir says, 'that long?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I could figure it out exactly, but months at least'.

Aoide nods in recognition to Boromir.

Boromir sighs loudly.
Boromir shakes his head.

Aoide says (in common), 'I admit that I stopped prodding when Abe returned'.

Boromir nods.

Aoide says (in common), 'My lady seemed happier and I feared my pestering was unwelcome'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Aoide says (in common), 'or at the very least, impetuous'.

Boromir says, 'she can be that way '.
Boromir smiles happily.

Cordir blinks.
Cordir says, 'Aoide, you are My Acolyte. You are never unwelcome.'.

Boromir says, 'Cordir. You need to.. to.. see yourself. For this is not you.'
Boromir sighs loudly.

Cordir says, 'By the gods, it's a damned BOOK!'.
Cordir shrugs.

Aoide says (in common), 'It is not just the book, my lady'.

Boromir says, 'very true. Not the book.. tis the action'.

Aoide whispers, 'though it is much more than simply a book'.

Cordir begins pacing the chamber, shadows and flame seething around her.

Aoide says (in common), 'and the mysterious wounds, the unaccounted time'.

Boromir says, 'a fevered one at that'.
Boromir sighs loudly.

Cordir stops abruptly and looks down at her hand. Confesses with a sigh. 'The hand. That's why I came to speak to Boromir today.'

Boromir says, 'the hand'.
Boromir sighs loudly.

She rubs her face with the un-wounded palm, the gesture one of pure frustration.

Boromir says, 'it's the same as if you accepted a new member in to the Chosen'.

Cordir nods in recognition of Boromir.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'yet ...'.
Boromir puts back the book he pulled from the shelf.

Boromir says, 'ok'.
Boromir says, 'this is what I know and it bothers me'.

Cordir glances curiously, wondering which tome it might be.

Boromir says, 'you have an unhealed scar on your palm'.

Cordir nods.

Boromir says, 'your aura is dark red almost to black'.

Aoide looks at Cordir.

Cordir nods, answering, 'Like Thaygar's.'

Boromir says, 'you are not fully yourself for your essence is ... shadowed'.

Cordir says, 'as it has been since I ascended... which Aoide can attest to.'.

Boromir shakes his head.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, my Lady'.

Boromir says, 'not this dark'.

Aoide says (in common), 'there have been a few distinct changes. The first, that I was aware of, was the evening of your birthday, early this spring'.

Cordir resumes her pacing.

Boromir nods.

Aoide says (in common), 'the current aura is just a day or two old at most'.

Boromir says, 'that was around the time I found her'.

Aoide nods in recognition to Boromir.

Boromir says, 'it varies'.
Boromir says, 'never less than red sometimes almost to a deep black'.

Aoide says (in common), 'though it was cyan for a few months in between'.

Cordir says, 'One of My Chosen was with me. I would assume that is why. My Champion. My Abender.'.

Boromir grins happily.
Boromir nods.

Boromir says, 'Aoide ...'.

Aoide raises an eyebrow at Boromir.

Boromir says, 'did Cordir ever mention my leaving her a rose?'.

Aoide frowns.
Aoide says (in common), 'I would have to look back and see'.

Boromir says, 'like the one she has ... '.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I don't recall that, no'.

Boromir says, 'probably hmmm years ago ?'.
Boromir raises an eyebrow at Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'unfortunately, no, I do not know that story'.

Cordir shrugs slightly as if to admit: Neither does she.

Boromir says, 'I '.

Boromir says, 'I found Cordir deeply asleep sitting on the throne in the Temple of the Magi. I left the rose for her as I have done before. Yet..'

Cordir says, '... and this was before I ascended?'.

Boromir says, 'she remembers nothing'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'yes'.

Cordir says, 'But after I gave up the Chosen?'.

Boromir says, 'yes'.

Aoide frowns.

Boromir says, 'What happened ? '.

Cordir says quietly, 'I have no memories of the time between when Tynian lifted the mantle of the Chosen from me, and when he awoke me.'

Aoide says (in common), 'Lady Weaver, Lord Boromir, if you'll excuse me, I have a quick errand to run'.

Cordir says, 'of course, Aoide'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir smiles happily.

Aoide says (in common), 'and then I am happy to help solve the puzzle if it can be solved'.
Aoide curtseys gracefully.
Aoide leaves north.

Montyhaul says (in common), 'i mainly remember Cordir as mortal'.

Cordir nods in recognition of Montyhaul.

Boromir nods.

Montyhaul says (in common), 'JohnPaul was really concerned when she was abducted'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'so were others '.
Boromir grins happily at Cordir.

Cordir smiles faintly.

Cordir says, 'Ah, Keller Amberlin D'Augustine...'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'Cecil asked me about him, but recently.'.

Boromir says, 'that is a long time back'.
Boromir nods.

Montyhaul says (in common), 'heh the oral paldin'.
Montyhaul grins happily.

Cordir says with a carefully straight face, 'Keller was apparently one of Cecil's heroes. He intends to venerate him in some sort of fashion.'

Her lips twitch with a suppressed smile.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.
Boromir says, 'Keller was quite the character'.

Cordir's unwounded hand slips upward, her thumb lightly stroking a faint scar over her heart.

Boromir nods.

Aoide arrives from a puff of smoke.

Boromir says, 'of course'.

Aoide smiles happily.
Aoide curtseys gracefully.

Boromir beams a smile at Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'my apologies'.

Cordir looks down at the rose tucked into her belt, withdrawing it once more.

Boromir thinks for a moment then looks at the stacks of books on the shelves.

Aoide says (in common), 'so many books and still a mystery'.

Boromir smiles happily.
Boromir says, 'it's part of the learning process'.
Boromir smiles at Cordir.
Boromir says, 'still haven't stopped'.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Cordir says, 'Fair enough. Though you said some of the books were from me?'.
Cordir arches an eyebrow inquisitively.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'I borrowed a couple'.
Boromir coughs.
Boromir grins to himself. What IS he thinking about...?!

Aoide snickers softly.

Cordir blinks.
Cordir says, 'Boro!'.

Boromir says, 'well .. I was reading them and jsut forgot '.
Boromir grins happily.
Boromir says, 'you know how it goes'.
Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.
Boromir smiles at Cordir.

Cordir makes a gesture of acknowledgement, half shrug, half nod.
Cordir says, 'well, it isn't like I noticed their absence. So.. continue to enjoy them.'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow at you.
Boromir says, 'this is very disturbing'.

Cordir says, 'What?'.

Boromir says, 'your books were always yours'.
Boromir grins wryly.
Boromir says, 'like this one'.
Boromir gets an old dusty tome off the top shelf.

Cordir says, 'And you are my oldest and dearest friend still within this world, and if you want to keep them, you may.'.

Cordir shrugs.

Aoide says (in common), 'it just concerns us, Lady, when you show no interest in what once brought you such pleasure'.

Boromir blows the dust off and hands the thin tome to Cordir.

Cordir says, 'I'm not a dragon to be covetous of my treasure. I don't mind sharing.'.

Boromir says, 'Sharing is one thing. Not caring is another'.

She frowns slightly, looking at the dusty cover.

Cordir slowly opens the book, gnawing on her lower lip. 'This is my handwriting.'

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'I added a few notes at the end but its all yours'.

She says, 'These are my studies on the Mind Blank spell. I wrote this when I served Gryphon.'

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'I haven't seen this since... well.. before I became Immortal.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir teasingly accuses Boromir with a glance. "Borrowed!" she snorts.

Boromir laughs.
Boromir says, 'borrowed!!!'.

Aoide giggles.

Boromir says, 'you have it back!!'.

Cordir says, 'for five thousand years, you 'borrowed'?'.

Boromir says, 'just a bit over due'.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir laughs, the sound almost startled.

Boromir says, 'you know me'.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'Aye. That I do.'.

Boromir says, 'I get a book .. tis read and reread until it sll there'.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir closes the book and tucks it under her arm.
Cordir says, 'I will hold this for study.'.

Boromir says, 'I did return the rest of them... eventually'.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir says, 'And see what, perhaps, I may have forgotten of my studies.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'I found that book to be '.

Cordir says, 'I remember there being two versions of the spell.
Molo, of course, used the more devastating of the two.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'yes, perhaps it will provide some insight'.

Boromir says, 'I remember reading of that spell. Devastating'.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir says, 'Three Rebirths to undo, granted with love and kindness. What Nashite would think such a thing possible?'.

Boromir says, 'Molo? He would seek to make it as impossible as he could'.

Boromir says, 'I wonder'.

Cordir says, 'And he could not fathom that someone would willingly endure Rebirth'.

Boromir says, 'much less 3 times'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir murmurs, 'Keller, Mystil and Jahiliya.'

Boromir says, 'Keller was the worst for him ... Molo that is. You turned your back on him '.

Cordir says, 'I remember it.. It was not willing combat, at first.'.

Boromir says, 'I think you knew he would react'.
Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'But he said something, as he raised his blade... that struck me to the core..'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

Cordir says, 'He said, "I love you."'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'and I couldn't...'.
Cordir shivers.

Boromir hugs her.

Cordir says, 'I lowered my weapon and looked at him.. He said, "I love you. Forgive me."'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'and struck.'.

Boromir blinks.

Cordir says, 'Jahiliya explained what was going on. I did it full willing. Knelt in solemn ritual.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'She struck me cleanly through the heart, her eyes on mine, saying the same words.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir whispers, 'I love you. Forgive me.'

Boromir says, 'tis something I would have had a great difficulty with'.

Cordir shudders violently.
Cordir says, 'Not an easy moment to endure. Or remember.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'all 3 remembered? '.

Cordir says, 'The third was Mystil. She said, 'We love you.' Khore stood at her back.'.

Boromir says, 'and'.

Cordir says, 'She was the first, actually. Keller, the second. Jahiliya the third.'.

Boromir says, 'I did not know the name of the first'.

Cordir glances at Aoide. 'In this Age, my Bards love me best. No swarming me and trying to murder me, eh?'

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Aoide laughs.
Aoide says (in common), 'no, definitely not that'.

Boromir says, 'or mages using up your mana '.
Boromir coughs.
Boromir stares at the sky.
Boromir grins to himself. What IS he thinking about...?!

Cordir says, 'I think Khore may have organized the whole thing - commanded Mystil, spoken to Keller, advised Jahiliya.'.

Boromir says, 'tis possible'.

Cordir says, 'He followed me for _days_, throughout the guild, the temples.. even daring Molo's crypt which was quite a risk, for Khore was but a young immortal.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'Molo at them for snakes'.

Cordir falls silent a moment, then regards you both.

Cordir says, 'So. Two of the people that I love and trust best in this world... tell me that something is wrong. And that all is not as it should be.'.

Boromir says, 'the unhealed scar on your hand '.

Cordir says, 'and I cannot help but see the parallels between now and then.'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir says, '... though, I confess, I do not much like the thought.'.

Boromir says, 'neither do I'.

Aoide says (in common), 'neither do we'.

Boromir nods in recognition to Aoide.

Cordir says, 'Aoide, already, has spoken to me of Rebirth...'.

Boromir says, 'I am bothered greatly '.

Cordir says quietly, 'But I am Ascended. I cannot die.'

Aoide says (in common), 'that was my first thought..that perhaps we could recreate the original ritual but I confess that I have few other ideas'.

Boromir says, 'by the loss of the memory in your ascension'.
Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'recreate ?'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir says, 'Three Rebirths, Boromir.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, '... But I cannot die.'.

Boromir says, 'well.. true'.

Cordir chuckles and nods, then turns to Aoide. 'And your 'other ideas'...?

Boromir opens his mouth to say something but doesn't.
Boromir walks over to the windows and looks out.

Aoide says (in common), 'are quite unformed, mostly. just that it would likely take something in threes. Something as powerful as the malevolence behind the spell if that is, indeed, what is happening here'.

Cordir looks down at the book, tucked under her arm and says quietly, 'There are two versions of the spell.'

Cordir says, 'Unwilling violation of the mind...'.

Boromir steps back from the window and rejoins the conversation.

Cordir says, '... and willing and deliberate destruction.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'terrible spells'.

Cordir nods in recognition to Boromir.

Cordir says, 'I welcome your thoughts, Aoide, formed or unformed.'.

Boromir says, 'I .... researched them and then destroyed my notes for they are... terrible'.
Boromir sighs loudly.

Boromir says, 'yes Aoide .. what thoughts? '.

Aoide says (in common), 'it seems the best way to reverse something is to figure out its core'.

Boromir says, 'true'.

Aoide says (in common), 'what is behind the memory lapse...or who... which version of the spell, perhaps. Though that might not be necessary'.
Aoide shrugs.

Boromir says, 'well'.

Cordir says quietly, "I am starting to believe that... I am behind it."

Boromir says, 'I wonder if Molo cast the spell twice ....before the first wore completely off'.

Cordir says, 'That's possible. He gave me many false memories'.

Boromir shakes his head in frustration
Boromir says, 'wish I hadn't destroyed those notes'.
Boromir grumbles.

Cordir says, 'Replacing my wedding to Keller with a wedding to Canaaan..'.

Boromir says, 'heh'.

Cordir says, 'so this may be some lingering malevolence of his.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I suppose it is possible that you did it to yourself'.
Aoide says (in common), 'though why, other than some form of self-preservation'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow at Aoide.
Boromir raises an eyebrow at Cordir.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I find it hard to believe that it would be intentional'.

Cordir looks troubled.

Aoide says (in common), 'unless perhaps the result was not exactly what you had intended'.

Boromir says, 'subconscious ?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'possibly'.

Cordir admits quietly, 'I have ... at times... acted on impulse to extremes..'

Boromir folds his arms thinking

Cordir glances at Boromir with a wry expression.

Boromir says, 'hmm? '.
Boromir laughs.
Boromir says, 'oh yes'.
Boromir smiles at Cordir.

Cordir says, 'well.... I must believe you both that all is not right. Aand that something has caused me to forget. Logic dictates, it is that spell.'.

Boromir says, 'forget as well as change'.

Cordir says, 'But why or whom... unknown.'.

Boromir says, 'well, who has that power now? And would use it'.

Cordir asks, almost humbly, 'Is the .. new.. me... quite so bad?'

Boromir says, 'hmm ?'.
Boromir says, 'it's not you. Simple'.

Aoide says (in common), 'no, certainly not... but we are concerned'.

Boromir says, 'bad? aside from a lack of light in your eyes and a darkness that surrounds you, it's all good'.

Boromir smirks at Cordir.

Aoide snickers softly.

Cordir nods in acknowledgement to you both.

Boromir says, 'Cordir knows I speak to the point'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but if some outside source has brought this on, it is not from kindness'.

Cordir says, 'Then I will think on this thing.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'and if you have brought it upon yourself, well...'.

Boromir says, 'and that I and tact have no knowledge of each other'.

Aoide shrugs.

Boromir grins happily.

Aoide says (in common), 'there is one more thing, Lady'.

Cordir glances down at her palm.

Cordir says, 'Aye, My Bard?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'has anyone spoken to the Phantom about this? Perhaps he would know why you were in his temple'.

Boromir nods.

Aoide shrugs.

Cordir says, 'I do not speak to him.'.
Cordir frowns.

Boromir says, 'why not? '.

Cordir says, 'He is ...'.

Cordir frowns.

Aoide says (in common), 'yes, well, neither do I...not since you asked me to last'.

Cordir says, 'Unfriendly.'.

Boromir says, 'unfriendly or Isolas? '.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir says, 'are they not one and the same?'.

Boromir says, 'not always'.

Cordir says, 'but that aside. No, I have not asked him.'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.
Boromir says, 'maybe it's time you asked for I fear that this malady will not cure itself'.

Aoide says (in common), 'not required, certainly, but I feel like with the Magi temple and the previous pope of the Nashites it seems like a void we are all skirting around'.

Cordir frowns.

Boromir says, 'perhaps'.

Cordir nods in recognition to Aoide.

Cordir shivers slightly.
Cordir says, 'I.. admit myself a little nervous about that.'.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Aoide smiles happily.
Aoide says (in common), 'well perhaps it needn't be urgent'.

Cordir says, 'Something twists my innards at the thought.'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but something to consider'.

Cordir glances down at her hand once more, then rubs it on her gown, as if to wipe away the mark.

Boromir says, 'well it has be addressed '.

Cordir says, 'But yes: you speak true. I need to know why I was asleep in his temple'.

Boromir says, 'whether now or shortly'.

Aoide laughs.
Aoide says (in common), 'my lady knows I can speak nothing else'.

Cordir says, 'and I need to know if he knows anything about this mark.'.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Cordir smirks ever so slightly. 'She took a Geas. Tranquility's geas.'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.
Boromir says, 'well .. that explains some'.
Boromir smiles happily.

Cordir says, 'Brave, isn't she?'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'and other items'.
Boromir grins happily.

Boromir says, 'I would ask Isolas myself but this is something I know you need to do'.

Cordir sits down abruptly on the floor, hunching over.
Cordir stares down at her hand. 'I'm afraid to.'
Cordir whispers, 'What if it is better, not knowing?'

Boromir sits down, legs crossed like a tailors.

Aoide says (in common), 'it might be'.

Boromir says, 'it's never better to not know. You know that'.

Cordir closes Her eyes, head slumping even further.
Cordir says, 'But the tangled Pattern..'.

Aoide says (in common), 'captives sometimes fear release'.

Cordir says, 'the..'.
Cordir goes still at Aoide's words.

Aoide says (in common), 'but anyone else can see the twist in that desire'.

Thunder rumbles in the distance.

Someone pulls his cowl down tightly, hiding his face from the light.

Boromir looks lost in thought.

Isolas steps slowly from the shadows.

Aoide curtseys gracefully to Isolas.

Boromir says, 'Hi Isolas'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Greetings, Lord Phantom'.

Isolas stares at those gathered with cold indifference.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Cordir glances up, her gaze sharp and cold, a mask for the fear so clearly seen.

Cordir forces herself to rise and look at the intruder.

Boromir stands up.

Cordir says, 'Well. It seems that the choice is perhaps upon me.'.

Boromir says, 'What brings you to my temple, isolas? '.

Cordir looks at Isolas.

Boromir nods.
Boromir looks at Isolas and Cordir.

Isolas glares coldly at Aoide, then turns his gaze toward Boromir and silently nods.

Boromir nods in return.

Aoide seems to melt into the wall behind her.

Cordir extends her left hand, palm up, the movement hesitant and ungraceful.

Cordir asks quietly, 'Do you know anything about this?'

Boromir raises an eyebrow at Isolas.

Isolas looks at Cordir.

Cordir asks quietly, 'What it is, or how it came to be?'

Isolas takes a long look at the scar.
Isolas raises his eyes to Cordir's and simply nods.

Cordir nods slowly, closing her hand to cover the wound. Her arm falls limply down at her side.

Cordir glances over at Boromir, then plucks out the rose from where it was tucked in her belt.

Cordir says, 'Boromir tells me that he found me, once, in your Temple. Curled up. Asleep.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'that I did'.

Cordir says, 'He laid a rose, similar to this one, beside me, he tells me.'.

Boromir says, 'that also'.

Cordir says, 'That this happened years ago, prior to my Ascension.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'I have no memory of why I would be there. No memory from the time I gave up my Chosen to... to when Lord Tynian granted me wakeful Ascension. Did you...do you know... how I came to be there?'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow at Isolas.

Isolas nods again, silently.

Boromir says, 'can you speak of this, Isolas? '.

Cordir asks quietly, 'Is there a reason I do not... or should not.. remember these things?'

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, 'There is reason.'

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

Cordir nods slowly.

Cordir forces herself to look at Isolas directly. 'Is it a good reason?'

The cold voice of the Phantom whispers, 'That is not for me to decide. I was not the one who brought it upon you.'

Boromir looks at Cordir and then at Isolas.
Boromir says, 'do you know who did? '.

Isolas slowly turns his gaze to Boromir and nods.

Boromir ask quietly, "Would you say?"

Isolas does not speak nor break his gaze while pulling his cowl down to hide his face.

Isolas steps back into the shadows.

Aoide frowns.

Cordir wraps her arms around herself, shuddering.

Aoide reaches out until her fingers barely touch Cordir's arm.
Aoide says (in common), 'you did well, my lady'.

Her mouth twists in a bitter parody of a smile. 'I was a coward.'

Boromir gently rests his hand on Cordir's shoulder.
Boromir says, 'you weren't. A step. Each is a step'.

Aoide says (in common), 'not at all a coward! You asked many important questions, and even got a few answers'.

Boromir says, 'and learned '.
Boromir nods in recognition to Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'or we can assume, if he was truthful'.

Tears the color of blood begin to well up in Her eyes, spilling over to run down her cheeks.

Boromir says, 'Isolas is many things.. but lie, he doesn't not do'.

Aoide says (in common), 'Oh please don't cry, Lady'.

Boromir gently wipes the tears off.

Cordir chokes out, 'I think I need to go.'

Cordir raises her hand in a graceful gesture of summoning.
An ebon light appears, and expands into a shadowy web-like Pattern.
Cordir fades into the Pattern
The Pattern fades into wisps of darkness, scattered about the chamber.

Boromir says, 'well.. '.
Boromir says, 'that was fun? '.

Aoide laughs.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Hutt snickers softly.

Boromir says, 'I am concerned'.

Aoide says (in common), 'that was the most inappropriate joke and yet perfectly timed'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'as am I. But it's a start'.

Boromir says, 'I didn't say all that concerned me, for even as outspoken as I can be there are limits'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I am relieved to know that someone else is as concerned and will keep an eye out. I hate her to be alone too much'.

Boromir says, 'I think I will wander over and see how things are'.

Aoide nods
Aoide says (in common), 'thank you again for letting me be here'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir bows deeply.

Boromir summons the mists of the Nexus: when they swirl and fade, he is gone.

Thaygar's Lost Temple
[Exits: east]
You feel as though you have stepped into the infinite Void, ebon
oblivion surrounding you in all directions. It is not cool here,
however. Instead, the darkness here is the searing calm at the
center of Hell. You stand on a circular floor comprised of obsidian
panels, suspended in the void.

Six pits form a hexagon on the floor, an altar at their center. Six
fires of midnight black flow out of the pits, flaring to the ceiling.

Flowing from the floor, a misshapen lump of obsidian reaches out like
an ebon hand.

Boromir appears amidst the mists of the Nexus: the mists swirl and fate.

Boromir says, 'Cordir?'.

Cordir is kneeling, head bent, eyes closed, lips moving in silent prayer. She does not respond to your presence or voice.

Boromir gently lays his hand on her shoulder "Cordir?"

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Boromir looks around the temple.

Boromir looks at Cordir, concern all over his face.

Boromir steps back and looks at Cordir.

Cordir continues her silent prayers.

Boromir finds the darkness of her aura very disturbing.

Boromir sighs loudly.

Boromir shakes his head.

Boromir says, 'Cordir ?'.

Boromir looks around the temple and steps over to one of the flames.

Boromir slowly pushes his hand into the flame, the flame turning bluish where it touches him.

Boromir looks at Cordir observing her aura.

Boromir slowly turns his hand palm up creating a larger bluish area within the flame.

Boromir withdraws his hand from the flame.

Boromir lays both his hands on Cordir's shoulders.

Boromir whispers almost to himself "Cordir..... Cordir"

Boromir straightens up.

Boromir sits down and thinks deeply.

Boromir lazily waves his hand creating a cushion to sit on.

Boromir sits on the cushion floating in mid-air.

Aoide arrives from a puff of smoke.

Boromir says, 'greetings Aoide'.

Aoide smiles weakly.

Boromir says, 'you see where we are ....'.

Aoide says (in common), 'yes...'.

Boromir says, 'I wonder if those old spells are still influencing her even unconsciously'.

Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps'.

Boromir says, 'look. She is meditating in a temple that is well .. '.

Aoide nods.

Boromir says, 'evil'.

Aoide says (in common), 'not that it is inappropriate to revere an old god, but it is no longer really her place to worship here'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'my point: Why is she here AND meditating?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps she has regressed'.

Boromir says, 'regressed'.
Boromir says, 'hmmm'.

Aoide says (in common), 'withdrawn to some period in her mortal life'.

Boromir says, 'She was never an ebon hand. Conclave, yes.

Aoide says (in common), 'She has shown me this place before, but it was as she told the tale of Thaygar's life..not to worship'.

Aoide says (in common), 'for some reason I thought she had been'.

Boromir says, 'wait... She was a member. It's been so long'.

Aoide says (in common), 'but I must admit, her mortal history was a tangle'.

Boromir chuckles, evidently amused.

Aoide says (in common), 'but again, I'm not sure why or if that's even what's happened'.

Boromir says, 'well she is here and here a lot and that bothers me'.

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'perhaps I'll ask her sometime when she is more...aware'.

Katrana skips Wyldly into the room, nearly cutting you with a pair of open bloody shears.

Katrana skips through the Temple giggling.

Boromir smirks.

Katrana glances around.
Katrana says, 'Bardling!'.

Aoide curtseys gracefully to Katrana.

Katrana giggles.
Katrana says, 'What are you doing here!>'.

Aoide says (in common), 'yes, Lady!'.

Boromir says, 'hasn't changed since I was a little one, many many many many many years ago'.

Aoide says (in common), 'we are here looking after your sister'.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.

Boromir says, 'Cordir is not herself'.

Aoide says (in common), 'she is...as you can see...wearing the dark aura again'.

Katrana looks at her Sister.

Aoide says (in common), 'do you remember when this happened before?'.

Boromir says, 'the essence is .... well .. disturbed'.

Katrana giggles.
Katrana inches up to the Weaver.
Katrana eyes shift rapidly and she giggles Wyldly.

Boromir smirks.
Boromir stands back.
Boromir has seen this before.

Katrana looks to her hand and her bloodied shears appear.

Aoide raises an eyebrow at Boromir.

Katrana glances back to her Sister.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

Aoide says (in common), 'Careful, Lady Wyld'.

Katrana looks to Aoide and Boromir and giggles innocently.

Boromir raises an eyebrow at Katrana.
Boromir says, 'and? Even the Wyld must give pause in this temple'.

Katrana quickly takes her Sister's hand and slices the palm then hides behind Aoide giggling.

Cordir flinches, rousing.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

Katrana giggles innocently from behind the bardling.

Cordir blinks, looking over. 'Hello, Wyldess.'

Boromir says, 'perhaps the answer is ... hmmm'.

Cordir looks down at the blood welling in her palm, an odd expression on her face.

Katrana stomps her foot.
Katrana says, 'How did you know it was me?!'.

Thunder echoes in the distance.

Cordir smiles slightly. "Because you are the only one who can."

Katrana giggles.

Blood pools in her hand, covering the palm.

Cordir slowly tilts her hand, letting the blood spill out in offering over the temple altar.

Katrana giggles.
Katrana shows her approval by clapping her hands together.
Katrana says, 'Pretty!'.

Aoide frowns.

Boromir takes a deep breath and remains calm.

Cordir nods slowly. 'Aye. Thaygar ever did appreciate blood sacrifice.'

Katrana says, 'I think it likes it!'.
Katrana nods.
Katrana nods.

Aoide says (in common), 'Lady Katrana...have you two done this before?'.

Katrana raises an eyebrow.

Boromir raises an eyebrow at Katrana.

Katrana bites her lip in thought.

Boromir says, '?'.

Katrana says, 'I don't know! It just felt right.'.
Katrana giggles.

Aoide says (in common), 'well, Cordir has a new scar on her palm'.

Aoide says (in common), 'I just thought...'.

Boromir looks closely at Katrana

Cordir glances over at the tiny gnome. 'No, I don't think so. But She is Wyld and so was Thaygar. Like speaks to like.'.

Aoide smiles happily.
Aoide says (in common), 'indeed'.

Cordir says, 'This is a place where blood sacrifice is best.'.

Boromir says, 'the chaos of the Three .. the Wyld'.

Katrana looks to the pool of blood and inches closer.

Cordir says, 'I.. didn't...'. She frowns, then murmurs, 'I didn't want to do that... so I was praying.'.

Boromir nods.

Katrana skips through the blood and hides before someone sees her.
Crimson splashes everywhere at the Wyldess's skipping.

Boromir says, 'you were deeply meditating'.

Cordir nods in recognition to Boromir.

Boromir casts a glamour of calmness around Katrana.

Cordir snickers softly.
Cordir murmurs, 'Good luck with that.'

Katrana growls.

Boromir says, 'I know it won't help much. Keeps her distracted for a moment'.

Katrana runs and jumps onto Boromir's lap.
Katrana says, 'STORY!'.

Boromir smiles knowingly.
Boromir says, 'story!!'.
Boromir hugs Katrana.

Katrana giggles.

Boromir ruffles Katrana's hair playfully.

Katrana squeezes Boromir fondly.

Boromir winks at Katrana.
Boromir says, 'always the darlin' girl'.

Cordir looks over at Katrana and says, 'Once upon a time...'

Katrana shows her approval by clapping her hands together.

Cordir says, 'There was a spirit. An angry spirit.'.

Katrana jumps down and sits next to her Sister.

Cordir says, 'For it was lost within the Pattern, unable to be Reborn.'.

Boromir ruffles Katrana's hair playfully.

Cordir says, 'It was of the Wyld, dark and terrible. A fragment - a remnant - of the Wyld's last mortal incarnation, of its day.'.

Boromir nods.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.

Cordir says, 'Then, one day, a wise Priest and Priestess came. And they found the scrying pool in which the spirit lived. They knew it was a magic pool.. for when they gazed into it...'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'Only the girl's reflection was cast back.'.

Katrana says, 'Ooooh'.

Cordir says, 'Within the pool's depths, something stirred.. that fragment of the Wyld. The girl... a girl much like yourself, Katrana...'.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.

Cordir says, 'knew, somehow, that it was very important. Just as little girls need to put away their toys... so do manifestations of the Triat need to be tucked away when they are not in use for they are dangerous to leave laying about, as this one had been.'.

Katrana nods.
Katrana says, 'I would be very mad if I were locked away!'.

Cordir says, 'So, the brave priestess and her handsome priest..'.

Katrana scowls.

Cordir says, 'studied very hard, and learned a powerful ritual and they bound the spirit into the pool forever, which laid it to rest. That's like putting it away after you're done playing with it.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'So the essence of the wyld was separated from the angry spirit. That spirit...was your almost-auntie Polnevdra.'.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.

Boromir nods lost in memories.

Cordir says, 'and that ritual was called, 'The Binding of the Tainted -
a great magic, the likes of which the world has not seen the equal of, in some time.'.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.

Cordir says, 'Oh, and that Priest?'.

Katrana says, 'It must have been powerful!'.
Katrana raises an eyebrow.

Cordir says, 'he turned into an Ogre.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'but that's a different story.'.

Katrana says, 'An ogre!?'.

Aoide grins evilly.

Cordir says, 'The wise and beautiful priestess...'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir says, 'She became an Immortal one day!'.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.
Katrana shows her approval by clapping her hands together.

Cordir nods in acknowledgement of Katrana.

Katrana says, 'Thank you for the story!'.

Cordir nods.
Cordir says, 'gladly, little one.'.

Katrana giggles.

Cordir rises slowly from her place before the altar, glancing at it one last time.

Katrana says, 'I hope something isn't trapped! '.

Cordir lifts Katrana and sets her atop the Ebon Hand, as if it were a throne.

Katrana giggles.

Cordir says, 'No, Katrana. Nothing is trapped there. This is Wyld's place.'.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'the Wyld can't be trapped .. '.

Katrana giggles and smiles happily atop the hand.

Boromir says, 'its Wyld'.
Boromir beams a smile at Katrana.

Katrana says, 'It's cozy.'.

Boromir nods.

Cordir glances at Aoide.

Boromir says, 'it's a Wyld place'.

Aoide says (in common), 'yes, Lady Weaver?'.

Cordir says, 'You realize that she and I have something rather pointedly in common?'.

Aoide says (in common), 'well you have many things in common'.

Boromir raises an eyebrow.

Aoide says (in common), 'you and the Wyldess, that is unless you're referring to the Priestess or angry spirit...'.

Cordir says quietly, 'Neither of us are all that we once were.'

Aoide says (in common), 'yes, that concerns me on Katrana's behalf as well'.

Boromir says, 'and not diminished either'.

Katrana blinks as if she is confused.

Aoide beams a smile at Katrana.

Katrana says, 'I'm not what I once was....Did I grow taller?!'.
Katrana giggles.

Boromir says, 'you have '.

Cordir says, 'Happier, dear heart. You grew happier.'.

Katrana says, 'Oh...'.

Cordir says, 'and I grew more sad.'.

Katrana pouts.

Cordir's eyes flicker to Aoide.

Katrana says, 'Do you want to be sad Sister?'.

Aoide frowns as if something is flitting just beyond her sight.

Katrana says, 'I have a ball! Would you like to play with it?!'.
Katrana giggles.

Aoide says (in common), 'do you think the two are connected?'.

Cordir says slowly, 'I think, sometimes, that being sad is sometimes the wise thing to do.'

Boromir nods in recognition to Aoide.

Aoide says (in common), 'a balance, of sorts?'.

Cordir says, 'of course, little one'.

Katrana shows her approval by clapping her hands together.
Katrana pulls out a shiny ball and tosses it to her Sister.

Cordir says, 'Anything is possible.'.

Cordir catches the ball without using her hands, holding it mid-air by thought alone, causing it to spin rapidly.

Katrana says, 'Ooooooh'.

Cordir gestures and the ball bounces once against the floor, and back to Katrana.

Katrana giggles.
Katrana chases after the ball.

Boromir wiggles his fingers and the ball glows bluish.

Boromir grins happily.

Katrana gasps in astonishment.
Katrana scowls at Boromir.

Boromir wiggles his fingers and the ball glows reddish.

Katrana giggles.

Boromir winks at Katrana.

Katrana says, 'Mine!'.

Aoide laughs.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'it is'.
Boromir smiles happily.

Katrana nods.

Cordir says quietly, in an aside to Aoide, 'Let me know if there is aught that I can do to assist you in ...' She glances at the girl playing. 'What might be done.'

Aoide nods.
Aoide says (in common), 'I will'.

Katrana giggles mischievously and takes the ball to the puddle of crimson and rolls it through it making designs.

Aoide grimaces.
Aoide says (in common), 'that is going to make a mess'.

Boromir says, 'it's ok'.
Boromir says, 'I'll take care of it'.

Cordir says, 'Wyld appreciates a bit of mess.'.

Boromir ruffles Aoide's hair playfully.

Cordir shrugs slightly.

Boromir nods.
Boromir says, 'a bit'.
Boromir smiles happily.

Cordir says, 'this is a holy place, yes... but not a place of order and neatness.'.

Boromir laughs.
Boromir says, 'order and neatness? in the temple of Chaos??? not likely'.
Boromir grins happily.

Cordir unconsciously rubs at her left arm as if to rub away a dull ache.

Cordir says, 'not likely indeed.'.

Boromir looks concerned.

Boromir watches Katrana and the ball .

Aoide says (in common), 'with your leave, Ladys and Lord'.

Cordir says, 'of course.'.

Katrana pouts.
Katrana says, 'I will miss you!'.

Aoide smiles happily.

Boromir says, 'Katrana? '.

Katrana hangs onto her bardlings leg.

Aoide disappears in a puff of smoke.

Katrana bursts into tears.
